Featherine’s comment confused the elf. She had never been outside the school? How was that possible? Did that mean she was born there or something? There was no way Featherine was being serious with that comment, but the angel’s tone indicated that she wasn’t joking. With Cassandra being unable to leave the school, it would be pretty difficult to visit their friend. Wait, why couldn’t Cassandra leave the school?

Before Ele could ask, the question was answered for her. Hearing that an attempt on her life had been made, Ele’s hand flew up to her mouth in surprise. Wasn’t this school supposed to be somewhere safe for everyone? How could an attempt at murder even happen if the headmistress seemed to have such high security measures?

Ele nodded along as Featherine explained the rules involving outside items. So, it wasn’t the staff, in particular, that was the problem, just that he brought it in without permission. After hearing the name of the myth, she quietly repeated it to herself, “Merlin…” The name sounded familiar, but she wasn’t very familiar with the history behind it.

The ghost started to lose Ele as she explained the etymology of Merlin. What did blackbirds have to do with Merlin? Ah, nevermind. Cassandra already seemed to be moving onto something else involving the staff and it seemed like Ele needed to pay attention. Cassandra explained that she was something known as a Lechuza - something Ele had never heard of before. She understood that much but she was quickly lost again as the idea of a magical battery was brought up. She figured it was for storing magic, but what would that help with?

When she was asked about her own magical abilities, Ele answered. “My only ability is healing, and even that isn’t as strong as it could be.” That was part of the reason she had enrolled. She had a long way to go if she ever hoped to live up to her parent’s expectations of taking over the clinic at home. “I would love to help, though!”

He immediately starts patting himself down then pulls out a small container from his back pocket "Oh wait never mind false alarm but I guess that would be a chance for one of us to bunk together well whether we bunk together or not I hope we can all get along." he then smiled and scratched the back of his head and out of random impulse he petted Circe and lightly caressed her horns while saying in a warm voice "Thank you for everything you've already done for us your a lot cooler than you seem y'know." then realizing what he did became red from embarrassment and stopped petting her to start twisting his dread with his finger.
