IMG_2063.jpegAs Silver meticulously crafted the desired effects on the daggers and blades at the table, a familiar presence approached. Klaeio strode in, flanked by a small entourage of their loyal minions. Silver’s face broke into a grin as he waved in greeting. “Ah, Klaeio! Always a pleasure to have your company,” he said, his tone light and playful. Klaeio that's the question of what he would like to discuss. “I could spill all the details, but honestly, who wants to explain things more than once?”

His eyes gleamed with mischief as he watched one of Klaeio's vibrant birds dive down to snatch a treat he had cleverly placed for the feathered group. A chuckle escaped Silver’s lips, delight washing over him as the mischievous creature flapped away, triumph adorning its wings. Just then, the familiar voice of his friend Ne’ghuchen crackled through one of the Idols he always kept close. He set the Idol on the table, allowing everyone to hear her playful complaints about missing out on the treats.

“Relax, Ne’ghuchen! We’ll sort it out later when we meet up, also, could you set up a wait for me to get there more quickly? I don’t mind traveling in there myself, but it would take some time.” he said, a sigh escaping him, exasperation laced with a hint of amusement. But just as he settled back into the moment, he heard his name called by Bird, a newcomer to their band. Uncertainty still lingered about this new addition, but Silver decided it was time to extend a little trust and see where this unexpected path would lead. Plus, they were also useful on the attack on the guardians.

When Brid showed up, they asked the same question that Klaeio did, which was why he called the meeting with all of them. Silver stirred up from his chair and began to speak.” Well I'm here to inform you about what is happening and how some of us are moving forward with our plans. I'm also here to see what you what you would like to do about it as well.” he paused, and tossed one of the snacks into his mouth before continuing. "Firstly, let's talk about the Guardians. The attack by Klaeio’s undead on the camp where they were stationed for the raid Cnut's hideout turned out to be favorable at least for the most part." He cleared his throat, the weight of an unspoken concern evident in his tone. "However, we can’t ignore the fact that a significant number of them managed to escape, and we’ll inevitably have to confront that lingering threat when the time comes. I also suspect they'll be eager to avenge their fallen comrades, which is something we’ll need to prepare for. When I went to the place afterward to make sure things wrapped up nicely, I also took time to gather information."

He paused, allowing the team to absorb the information, their thoughts swirling. Silver took a breath and continued, shifting the focus to the allies who supported the raid and the formidable foes still out there.

"Let's break them down," he said, his tone shifting to one of confidence. "First, we've got one—a veritable tower of muscle, brains, and brawn combined The Wolf. Then there’s Two, an exceptionally skilled mage. While not on Klaeio’s level, she’s still a formidable threat. Next is Three—a crack-shot archer whose aim is unmatched. Four is a noble, likely a blend of the first two’s strengths. Finally, we cannot overlook the last member of their group—a mage whose very emotions seem to ripple through those around her, influencing them in powerful ways." If Silver's face had been visible, one would have noticed an expression of deep contemplation, as if he were on the brink of revealing something significant. “It seems there are more of them than those people. I can only imagine they’re likely just as big of a nuisance,” he mused, his tone thoughtful. With that, Silver settled back into his chair, savoring a long sip from his cup, a hint of mystery lingering in the air.

“With that said, I can finally reveal some thrilling news the prince is indeed in Altir. Red and Ne’ghuchen are already on-site, and I’ll be heading there to join them shortly,” Silver announced, a glint of excitement in their eyes as they paused to indulge in another snack. “Now that I’ve shared that, I’ll leave you both to entertain yourselves for a while. I suspect some of the remaining guardians will soon be prowling around, seeking revenge. Frankly, I couldn’t care less about their fate—even if it means they join the ranks of their fallen comrades in Klaeio’s undead forces. I also would think Cnut might be on his way here as well. I do have a small plan to deal with them somewhat but I don’t really think it’ll work out. It’ll be more of just a distraction of anything.” Silver sipped on his drink, while he waited to see what everyone else had to say about his spiel. Unlike.

Steil Water
"The Soldier"

He was yet young, but he knew how to party. Steil spent the entire night at the inn with, what seemed like endless energy, doing everything he could to enjoy this brief moment of down time with his companions, and although he was new to these faces the young man strived for a bond between them all. He had all night, ample time to make a memory or two before what could be his last night as a free man. On the battlefield, no one is really free, and that time was closing in.

"Let's all get wasted!" He chugged a glass and slammed it down, before looking at the little pixie. "Well, not you." He gestured down to Sira.

Days passed and the guardians were issued an order from the big man himself. Steil was sitting at a table at the inn, counting coins as he was deep in thought that was broken as he noticed the courier, and upon giving a signal, Steil put his arm behind his chair where the note was then passed. Smooth as butter.

The next morning he made sure to be up bright and early, even though what was asked of him wasn't quite in his realm of expertise. Stealth but not stealthy? It was something he wasn't entirely sure how to get his head around. His naturally bright hair stuck out like a sore thumb and if there were any spies around, which was unlikely, and if they knew of his involvement with the Guardians, he could put everyone in jeopardy.

"If only I could turn invisible somehow...?" He stroked his as he basked in the early morning light, a pale blue hue over his figure. He then snapped his finger as he had an epiphany. "I'll wear a hat!" He quickly grabbed the first one he saw and tried in on, gazing into a mirror. Didn't take long for him to toss it off his head however. "Nope. That ain't happening."

He eventually settled on readjusting his navy blue cape and simply tying it over his head. It was a crude method but effective on hiding his identity while not drawing suspicion. He made his way out the door and down the road, assuring he was going the right way and even made a few detours that lent him turns around corners. It was a good way to glace out the corner of his eye, ensure he wasn't being tailed. He soon reached the outskirts of town and made his way under some trees. A gentle breeze rustled the branches as he stood within their shade. He looked around one last time and hoped the other guardians didn't run into a snag. He wasn't sure how many had already arrived or if he was the first one. Something told him he should stay there as they made it through, watch their back. But they were well trained. He was sure they could hold their own.

The sight that first caught his eye was a graveyard of sorts. He felt both a connection but also a distance as his eyes fell on the many weapons dug into the dirt. He carefully stepped around, the steel gleaming a surprising amount in spite of the early morning fog. He turned his back to them as he moved on, finding Wolf and any others who were present. He gave a salute and a "Sir" before waiting for the gathering to take place. It became an inauguration of sorts where a lieutenant to Wolf's new position was chosen, and it was nonother than the brainy Caelum . A good choice and excellent counter to Wolf's gruff leadership. The big man took a moment to continue when Steil took the moment of silence as an opportunity.

"Just don't break the other one now, aye?" He gave a light nudge with his fist as it was all in good fun, little quips to maintain morale.

With Wolf finishing his debrief, Steil wasted no time gathering up his shield and sword, strapping it all in and tightening his armor from head to toe. He began to depart with Wolf's group, looking back at Lieutenant Caelum's.

"Have fun baby sitting!" He laughed as he turned with a wave. He couldn't imagine having to look after something as troublesome as an infant. He was much more comfortable with some ghouls. He hopped into this bizarre carriage and shook off what nerves he had. "This is going to be great!" He thought to himself. Finally, he was going to fight alongside greats, something he had been itching for the moment he was selected. He packed his leather clothed fist into his hand as he sat there with anticipation.

"Any questions?" Wolf asked. There was only one he could think of. "So if we run into trouble we go all out right? If that's all I think I got it." He looked down and over to Dryclaw, assuming with his temperament he would align with Steil's statement.
