His eyes gleamed with mischief as he watched one of Klaeio's vibrant birds dive down to snatch a treat he had cleverly placed for the feathered group. A chuckle escaped Silver’s lips, delight washing over him as the mischievous creature flapped away, triumph adorning its wings. Just then, the familiar voice of his friend Ne’ghuchen crackled through one of the Idols he always kept close. He set the Idol on the table, allowing everyone to hear her playful complaints about missing out on the treats.
“Relax, Ne’ghuchen! We’ll sort it out later when we meet up, also, could you set up a wait for me to get there more quickly? I don’t mind traveling in there myself, but it would take some time.” he said, a sigh escaping him, exasperation laced with a hint of amusement. But just as he settled back into the moment, he heard his name called by Bird, a newcomer to their band. Uncertainty still lingered about this new addition, but Silver decided it was time to extend a little trust and see where this unexpected path would lead. Plus, they were also useful on the attack on the guardians.
When Brid showed up, they asked the same question that Klaeio did, which was why he called the meeting with all of them. Silver stirred up from his chair and began to speak.” Well I'm here to inform you about what is happening and how some of us are moving forward with our plans. I'm also here to see what you what you would like to do about it as well.” he paused, and tossed one of the snacks into his mouth before continuing. "Firstly, let's talk about the Guardians. The attack by Klaeio’s undead on the camp where they were stationed for the raid Cnut's hideout turned out to be favorable at least for the most part." He cleared his throat, the weight of an unspoken concern evident in his tone. "However, we can’t ignore the fact that a significant number of them managed to escape, and we’ll inevitably have to confront that lingering threat when the time comes. I also suspect they'll be eager to avenge their fallen comrades, which is something we’ll need to prepare for. When I went to the place afterward to make sure things wrapped up nicely, I also took time to gather information."
He paused, allowing the team to absorb the information, their thoughts swirling. Silver took a breath and continued, shifting the focus to the allies who supported the raid and the formidable foes still out there.
"Let's break them down," he said, his tone shifting to one of confidence. "First, we've got one—a veritable tower of muscle, brains, and brawn combined The Wolf. Then there’s Two, an exceptionally skilled mage. While not on Klaeio’s level, she’s still a formidable threat. Next is Three—a crack-shot archer whose aim is unmatched. Four is a noble, likely a blend of the first two’s strengths. Finally, we cannot overlook the last member of their group—a mage whose very emotions seem to ripple through those around her, influencing them in powerful ways." If Silver's face had been visible, one would have noticed an expression of deep contemplation, as if he were on the brink of revealing something significant. “It seems there are more of them than those people. I can only imagine they’re likely just as big of a nuisance,” he mused, his tone thoughtful. With that, Silver settled back into his chair, savoring a long sip from his cup, a hint of mystery lingering in the air.
“With that said, I can finally reveal some thrilling news the prince is indeed in Altir. Red and Ne’ghuchen are already on-site, and I’ll be heading there to join them shortly,” Silver announced, a glint of excitement in their eyes as they paused to indulge in another snack. “Now that I’ve shared that, I’ll leave you both to entertain yourselves for a while. I suspect some of the remaining guardians will soon be prowling around, seeking revenge. Frankly, I couldn’t care less about their fate—even if it means they join the ranks of their fallen comrades in Klaeio’s undead forces. I also would think Cnut might be on his way here as well. I do have a small plan to deal with them somewhat but I don’t really think it’ll work out. It’ll be more of just a distraction of anything.” Silver sipped on his drink, while he waited to see what everyone else had to say about his spiel. Unlike.
