Fantasy Elemental War(always accepting!)

The small group of surviving fire soldiers felt the earth shake as they flanked around the newcomers to the battlefield, and the injured queen. Under the cover of smoke they reached their leader's side, near the lake that K had fallen into. They looked out at what the fire king had brought down from the heavens. Markus gulped nervously.

"We're with you sire." he said grimly.

Darkness and demons, shrouds and shadows. K commanded a sea of these horrendous things. His sea was parted by a small light. It was the boy. He shined like a firefly, young and bright. K stuck out his hand, full of ominous black flames, daring the boy to take hold and recieve an offer.

"Huh?" Markus turned and saw the hand of black flames, beckoning him. He looked up at K. Given what had transpired moments ago, the boy was surprised to see his ruler acknowledging him at all, let alone offering him a... hand? He had no idea what to make of it. His mind was weary from all he had been through. Capture, war, severely burning the leader of another nation. He gratefully reached out and took the hand, and immediately regretted it. He felt the heat flowing through him as the black hand grasped his wrist. The flames surrounded his body, then seemed to vanish into him. Suddenly Markus felt the need to vomit. He knelt down where he stood and a torrent of fire came from his mouth, searing his throat and the ground in front of him. After a few seconds of vomiting flame, the boy collapsed to the ground. A small trail of smoke came from his open mouth, but a close observer could see that he continued breathing.

Cain began to advance, slowly, relishing every step. As he moved a fire soldier jumped out from behind a rock, snarling as the man swung a sword coated in fire. Cain barely saw the man coming, but he was able to doge out of the way. Bending backwards Cain let the flaming sword pass over his face, then straightening up, he grabbed the mans arm that held the sword and drove his knee up into the mans stomach, causing him to spit up blood. Next Cain moved his hand up to the mans neck, the moment Cain touched the man he tapped in to the mans nervous system and activated all of the his pain receptors causing him to let loose a blood boiling scream.

K watched the darkness tear the boy inside out. Only time would tell if he would wake or not.

K took an account of his surroundings. Grim. It was time for reinforcements. He shot a purple flare into the sky, signaling for Ari's battalion to move in.

K left the boy's side and turned his attention to the electric man wreaking havoc. He formed a whip in his hand and stretched it out into a long, pink fire snake. His wrist snapped and the whip shot forward, flying for the electric man's throat.

Trebuchet looked around and held his head. He was confused and completely lost and oblivious to the chaos around him. The 42's still had no casualties but they were falling back, afraid to accidentally open fire on their allied troops. Trebuchet spotted May on the ground, burned badly. Possibly a 2nd degree. Trebuchet swept her by her legs and picked her up. Edith, now at Trebuchet's side, helped him carry May behind the defensive lines of the 42's and into the city of the water district. Trebuchet's ears rung as he saw the water troops following Trebuchet, along with the 42's. Trebuchet then heard the deafening screech of a weapon he was all-too familiar of.

Fireflies.

The battlefield some forty yards behind them exploded into a plume of dust. Large boulders were being flung onto the battlefield, rigged with small explosive devices. Trebuchet saw ahead that some 42's set up catapults in the city to launch mortar fire onto the battlefield.

I taught the bloody blokes well. Thought Trebuchet as he saluted while passing by the catapult squads. Edith and Trebuchet both quickened their pace as they rushed her to a medical building not far ahead. Edith looked up at Trebuchet, her helmet off, and fear in her eyes.

"Master, do you think the empress will be okay?!"

Trebuchet turned his head directly at Edith and looked down at May.

"I dunno, Sis."

They spotted the building, they ran at a full sprint. Edith and Trebuchet crashed through the doors. A squad of water and earth troops behind them, rifles raised.

"Aye! I gotta critically wounded Leader here!" Trebuchet yelled.

Ariella Feu

Ariella had been ordered to stay back with her battalion and wait for the signal before entering the battle. Her battalion consisted of a quarter long ranged fighters, a quarter mid-ranged, ten percent support, and fourty percent close combat soliders which was said to be one of the most diciplined battalion in their army. This was a surprising factor especially due to the fact that it was lead by a meer woman. Despite being much comfortable as her female gender, on the battle field Ariella tend to steer towards dressing in men's armor since she believed it suited her better.

Waiting on the hillside as her battalion eagerly waited for their chance to fight, once the purple signal was launched it created a still silence in the crowd. Ariella sat on her horse before ordering for them to move forward, "Onward my men!" Her voice lacked a booming command but it was heard clearly throughout her large battalion behind her in which they all roared in response, charging forward whether it be on horses, summoned creatures of the sort, or simply on foot. It didn't take long before her army reached where K was with what was left of his battalion.

Her men gladly pushed the exhausted enemy army back a few, reinvigorated by the rush of adrenalin pulsing through their veins as Ari stood her ground within the center of the lovely chaos. Since her men had just gotten to the battlefield, they were just getting started with the fight and not seeming to be slowing down their pace any time soon. Soon Ari's Fire Skulls were released, creating casualties left and right as they dropped like moths to a flame. Looking very much like a man in her armor, you should've seen the look on their faces when they realized it was a woman they were dealing with. However throughout all of this, she commanded her battalion skillfully and without many words to it.

The slightest movement in the air caught her attention within a few short moments in which she saw the catapulted boulders being launched their way. Ariella swiftly fabricated a wall of fire that protected her men, not a single drop of sweat rolled down her cheek as she did so so effortlessly. With this first wall up, the support group quickly followed by pulling up a wall not too soon afterwards however Ari's was by far the largest and strongest. The walls either incinerated the boulders and detonated the explosives within or bounced off and backlashed to their own allies, creating many explosions and some casualties to their own men. Any leader would have been laughing and smiling at the success of their strategy however she stayed as silent and stoned faced as normal, her men cheering happily as she resumed with their attacks.

Rylai Crestfall

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, OHSHI-

Rylai swore loudly as she narrowly avoided being crushed by a falling meteor. The impact of earth connecting with the Earth sending her flying across the street, gracefully recovering in mid-air soon after. She grinded across the ground, frost-covered hands slowing down her momentum, before skidding to a halt.

'That was a close one...' Rylai sighed as the ice encasing her hands dissipated. Looking up, she saw the castle amidst the battleground of a city, grimacing as soldiers from all sides layed waste to the already ruined city. Suddenly, a heavy wheezing sound filled the air. Rylai, in her crouched position, frantically looked at both sides for the source of the noise before finally looking up, she widened her eyes as she saw another meteor headed straight for her. The ice mage grabbed her scepter, willed her power into said scepter, and encased herself in a thick dome of True Ice, just before the rogue space rock could hit her. A second later, the meteor hit the top of the ice dome, causing an explosion that rocked the ice mage down to her very core. As the dust cleared, the ice shield had a large, horizontal crack running down the middle, but was relatively still in one piece. The dome soon shattered into small, crystal-like fragments before an uninjured Rylai shakily stood up, thanking every single diety in existence for her second chance in life.

After a couple of slaps to her cheeks to make sure she's actually alive, the ice mage strapped her scepter to her back, stretching her arms in front of her as sub-zero air came out of her palms. She sprayed the road in front of her with the coldness, jumping on top of the now ice-covered ground afterwards. She first pushed from one foot to another, before gaining speed as she now glided across the ice. Whenever the ice on the floor would run out, or desperately needed to avoid falling projectiles, she'd use her powers to create more.

"And here I thought I would've had my daily siesta in peace." Rylai groaned, returning her staff to its original place after nonchalantly encasing a group of Fire Soldiers in True Ice. When she first heard about the Fire Kingdom's attack, she waved it off as something unimportant (to her at least, the king was the one to worry about political stuff anyways) before being told that Ender went to the Water Kingdom by himself. Upon hearing those words, Rylai quickly shook off her sleepiness, dressed up, and immediately skated to the Water Kingdom. Rylai had supressed her innate "snowstorm" when she entered the city so as not to gain any attention. She's slightly dizzy because of it, but it won't be any problem until she hits the 30 minute mark.

As she skated towards the castle, she couldn't help but notice the legion of red-armored soldiers advancing from the western front. Walls of fire acted as their shields from enemy fire as they marched towards the castle as well. Shit truly is hitting the metaphorical fan right now. Rylai swore before focusing her gaze at the enlarging castle. It's large doors being pushed into closing by allied Earth and Water troops as she saw three figures rushing into a nearby building, one of them being...

"Hey Ender!" The ice mage shouted loudly as she was nearing the group. She noticed a squad of mixed Earth and Water troops trailing behind them, but she paid them no mind as she picked up speed.

@The Endergod

Markus woke up. He was still beside the lake where he had been with Lord K... how long ago? It was quiet now, the fighting had moved on. He had had the strangest dream. Someone wielding the black flames, which Lord K was so famous for had whispered secrets into his hear. Terrible secrets. Ones which Markus still remembered. His leader had done something to him.

Looking around, Markus saw the dead. Fire, water and earth. Memories of the battle were still fresh in his mind. He had done so many things he regretted today. For his own sanity, he needed to do something else, even if he could only take a few minutes to do it. Markus could see a lot of smoke from closer to the palace where he had met the water and earth leaders before, his kingdom needed him. He gathered some of the nearby bodies, it mattered not what faction to which they belonged. He lined them up in a straight line, moving them into more dignified positions. It was kind of silly actually, the ground was still littered with so many dead that he simply didn't have time to tend to. Markus used his power to create a wall of flame along the line of bodies he had made. This time he didn't worry about restraint. Holding his power back wasn't something that could help them anymore. He wanted to say a prayer for the soldiers he was cremating, but his throat felt raw from the flaming vomit he had spewed earlier. He simply stood there watching the flames consume the bodies. Despite the heat, he felt a trickle of watter run down his face. A fire soldier, crying? It mattered not he supposed. As far as he knew, no one else was around to see it.

Markus walked towards the smoke. He had a spear and dagger, both like the ones he had before his capture. Taken from dead fire soldiers. He once again wore his bucket on his head. He intended to wear the badge of shame that general Orwin had given him like a man, until he had fulfilled the general's conditions for removing it. As he got close to the battle's new location, he saw something that gave him hope. More fire soldiers. It didn't take long to find the commander of this new battalion.

This time, it was a woman shouting orders. Markus approached the commander and attempted to report in. Unfortunately, his burned throat was being less than cooperative with him. What came out was a sound one might expect from a duck, if that duck had somehow been chain smoking for many years. He coughed a little and tried to say "Markus, 12th battalion", giving a weary salute. He hoped enough of it was understandable.

Ariella Feu

As the movement began again towards the castle walls, her battalion charged forward with full speed after being re-energized for the failed Earth Kingdom attack of whom they all picked up on that the alliance had crumpled into rubble. "Destroy the enemy and the betrayers!" Ariella shouted as everyone cheered and did as was commanded.

Staying back slightly as she shouted orders from behind, her attention caught by a man wobbling towards her with multiple burns. Staring down at him as she studied him with a stone cold face, briefly calling for some support to tend to his wounds after he'd struggle to say even his name.

"Sterling, take command for me." The man nodded before spouting out orders of his own to the regimen. Two support soldiers came to aid Markus from behind the battle field, Ariella leaving the chaos that was the battle to come help with the ones that were injured and also to question the new guy. She wasn't much to trust people at first meet but the least she could do was tend to his wounds and if it turned out that he was lying she would burn him, quick and simple. She had more than enough faith in her abilities to be able to take him down if need be.

Getting off her horse to get closer to him as he was seated down on a stretcher in a tent set up just far enough away from the battle field, she remained mostly silent as they began healing him. "Tell me, how'd you get here? And where are the rest of your comrades?" Asking him since she didn't see much of the 12th battalion around anymore, of corse it was possible they could've gotten all killed on the field but she would've rather asked than to assume.

It was more than Markus had ever hoped for. Being tended to by healers and having the undivided attention of the leader of an entire battalion. He wasn't even being yelled at by this commander. The condition of his throat improved slightly with attention from the healers, but his voice was still extremely hoarse. He began to recall the events of his strange adventure. He told the commander of how the 12th battalion had received a scouting mission slightly before the invasion, and were caught unaware, behind enemy lines when the invasion began. He told her of his squadron's capture by the water kingdom, and how they initially believed the invasion to be a misunderstanding. He then told of how his squad had crossed the front lines with the water empress herself in tow, and how he had turned on her, severely burning her when she attempted to strike down lord K. Finally, he told her how their king had offered him the hand of dark flames, and how he had passed out by the lakeside after taking it, only to awake on his own some time later.

As he finished his story, he looked to the commander to see her reaction, hoping his strange story would be believed.

Ariella Feu

Ariella listened to his story with an unmoved expression, not that she didn't believe his story but that she was trying to wrap her head around how complex his situation was. His raspy voice wasn't of any help either up until she just couldn't help but take matters into her own hands. Left hand lighting up a light purple flame, she swiftly grasped his throat without a moments notice. Within the quick second everyone seemed to be taken off guard, looking like she was burning his throat with her signature purple flames, appearing to be choking the poor bastard.

Her expression wasn't gentle nor angry as she did this, this being healing him of corse. The way she handles things such as this was rather forceful and strange compared to those who would use a light hand and caution, but she made sure only place her hand on his neck gently rather than to actually choke him. Normal healing would've done just fine but it would've taken more time due to the fact that it was his nerves that were damaged rather than physical wounds like burns or cuts. It would just cut the time of healing by half even though she was defiantly more than skilled at her Mending Flames technique.

"Talk." Removing her hand from his neck with a graceful movement as she disregarded the stares from everyone who were still in shock that she might've actually tried to kill him.

@rsmiles

Markus finished his story looking at Ari as a terrified animal looks at a veterinarian. His eyes open wide firmly locked on the commander, his body leaning back away from her. Although he had noticed his voice had improved tremendously.

"So, yea I got here by walking from the lake where Lord K left me, and I suppose the rest of my comrades were either killed in the battle or merged with the rest of the invasion force".

He couldn't hold back his own questions any longer.

"What exactly did you do to me? It looked like you were trying to burn me, but I feel so much better now and not at all um... on fire."

Earth Troops stopped their barrage and left the water Kingdom. A few unscathed but a handful were harmed. Trebuchet was just glad his men and women didn't perish on foreign soil. He sat alone in the city, contomplating what he should do next. Edith kept to his side as close as possible. They were both worried for the wellbeing of May. They had escorted her to a medical bay and now everything seemed to calm down.

"Aye, I feel like I should do something..."

Trebuchet stood up from his seat and Edith followed suit.

"But master," She said, "I think we should head home..."

Trebuchet shook his head.

"Nah, I gotta bargain with someone."

He turned and left towards the kingdom outskirts. Leaving Edith behind trying to fight back tears as she was afraid he might be slain.

Ariella Feu

Seeing that his scratchy voice was more than improved, Ariella saw it was about her time to leave. "Are you okay to fight in battle again?" Dodging his question with a question of her own, it would be better to keep strangers still light on their feet when they've just met the woman. "If not, you can stay in the tent and rest up however I must lead my battalion." Reiterating her position within the Fire Nation, meeting ice cold eyes with Markus which was rather ironic for a Fire Nation general.

On the field however, Sterling was leading the men without many problems especially since the Earth Kingdom's troops had began to pull back. Her troops took this to their advantage by doing more damage to the few that were retreating. Now the only obstacle left was the Water Kingdom's troops and their wall.

@rsmiles @Noivern @Calalily @Gondwana

Trebuchet stepped outside of the walls. He motioned the water troops stationed there to leave and they closed the gates as the troops left. Trebuchet balanced a stone javelin as he stood facing the fire battalion. He sighed and adjusted a few dials on his helmet. A plume of gas expelled from the valves on the side and he adjusted his posture.

"So, can we all havea chat over this?"

He thrust the javelin into the ground before him.

"...Cause' this fightin' really sucks."
