Fantasy Dragon's Roar 3: Rise of The Dark Arts ( Finished )

"I don't think that she sees me that way. Also, at the moment, I'm sort of missing a crucial part of myself."
"You won't know until you try. When you get your body back you should tell her how you feel.... If you have feelings for her. Do you?" Sierra has just left the state of Nevada and didn't intend to slow down at all.

The peacocks start to make obnoxious sounds and attack Lilith.

@Ameythyst
Bruce hears the peacocks and turns to the sounds that they're making. "The fuck is that?" He makes his way towards the peacocks with his sword drawn.

(Completely forgot that part was there.)
"Shit!" Lilith cursed in her head, flying straight up. She knew that with their bodies they wouldnt be able to fly up in on go like she could. She was still concealed, and she flew to the top of the tree. "Stupid fucking piegons, almost revealing my position."

The founder was watching her through a mirror on the moon base. She turns her attention away from the mirror and focuses on the West coast of America. "Maybe it's time I drop the bomb."

Afrobrony said:
"That's all I've been this whole year I've been gone," he called back. He knew that whatever was out there probably knew their location by now so there was no use in being silent about it.
Isaac followed behind Bruce saying. "Any idea who or what may be stalking us?" He was eighty percent sure it was one of the Dark Arts members, but he wanted Bruce's opinion.

Bruce pointed at the peacocks "I don't think they'd use peacocks in the middle of the woods... strange but this is Dragon's Roar." He could swear he heard something behind him but it was just low enough that he didn't feel the need to investigate. Probably just his mind playing tricks on him.

(I have no idea how to jump in again after missing so much, so please correct me if anything is wrong!)

The twins don't really have any personal connection with the guild or it's members so they basically ignore Julie's outburst. (Mobile so I'm not doing colors) "what a gentleman," they say as they step through the doorway and into the elevator. Bruce however started to see how Julie must have felt when he stormed away from the guild. He'd apologize if he saw her again.
Felix sighs as everyone takes off, then enters the elevator with Lana and Layla, hitting a button titled 'H'. He looks to the girls before him, "What made you guys join Bel's guild?"

Raven was shocked by Sanctum's words. She had the man with the ax stop and turns her attention to the woman. "Alright then, I'll try." She has the man with the ax disappear as she takes only one wasp from the jar. She might as well utilize them and stick with the one area she's been inflicting pain on. The feeling of a hot nail shouldn't be too bad so she sets it on the damaged knee cap. It didn't sting Jackie yet, it seemed to just sit and wait. As if it were ready to drive it's stinger into the cartilage around her knee cap. "Would that work?" She turns back to the woman and raises an eyebrow.
The woman shrugs, nonchalant and unhelpful, eyeing Raven critically, "I don't know, you tell me. Will it? Honestly-"

She cuts herself off suddenly, then lunges forward and snatches back Raven by the back of her collar as Jackie -or rather, Sanctum - leans forward as far as her chains allow and spits where Raven had previously been, the ground eroding under the corruption infused into Jackie's saliva. The woman steps forward and backhands Jackie hard across the face, then waves one of the attendants over. "Activate the enchantments on the chain to level 15," She commands coldly, "Block her magic." The attendant nods, then goes to work activating the enchantments engraved into the metal. As each link is activated, Jackie starts to sag against her restraints, her eyes flickering back and forth from grey to blue then back again, until they settle bright blue. Her posture changes to actually exhibit the fact she's in pain, purposely moving her injured leg as little as possible.

Though she was trying her best for a poker face, there was no way to ignore the pain in her expression - her jaw was clenched tight, her breath was heavy, and despite the cold, a sheen of sweat had broken out on her skin. She looks over to Raven, "Raven, listen. I don't know where they are. I don't know where they were going when I last saw them. They could be anywhere right now."

-----

In Nova Scotia, Isabel feels her connection to Jackie - which had been feeding Isabel disjointed images, flashes, and sequences either of Jackie's memories or of what was currently happening to her - very suddenly and violently sever, every image flickering and dying. Sanctum, who had been giving some strength to Isabel and half-baked encouragements even though he didn't really seem to care, goes silent as a grave. Some of the demons he took along with him to Isabel's conscious start to pick up whispering variations of 'What happened to Jackie?' and 'Why can't we feel the Host?'. They fall silent as Sanctum speaks, his voice a furious growl that gives Isabel intense vertigo and makes her see red, " How dare they..."

Krios was in the elevator as well. He walks over to Felix and whispers in his ear about Isabel awakening and where her current position is. He even shows Felix on one of his screens.

"T-thank you." Raven draws a picture of knife and a small fire. They both come to life, the knifes blade resting in the flames. Raven makes her way over to the wasp and takes it off Jackie's knee cap before it stings her. The wasp fades away just like the man with the ax. "Are you sure there isn't any way to contact the members of the guild? Where were you intending to go?"

Witch drops due to the vertigo. "Sanctum... What's wrong... with Jackie?" Carnage made sure she fell on top of him instead of the ground.

"You heard it too? Maybe I'm not as crazy as I thought. Get back to Witch. I'll keep searching around." Bruce did as he said he would and walked around the area with his sword raised. He could leave these peacocks alone for now. They didn't seem to pose any real threat. If they came close to him though he would kill them and take their feathers.

Lilith noticed a figure through the leaves. It certainly wasn't her target, so she moved on. She flew from branch to branch, trying to keep the sound of her movement to a minimum. Even if they heard it, it could easily be dismissed as the sound of a squirrel. She shrunk and hid in a small shadow, watching Witch from a nearby tree. She had to be very careful about this, she would only have one chance to get her, and she absolutely couldn't blow it.

Bruce continued his search of the surrounding area, not straying too far away so that he'd still be able to hear a struggle if one occurred. Isaac could hold off someone pretty well and Wtich was no pushover even like this. He'd have enough time to help them if the need arose.

"It does," Felix tilts his head to listen to Krios, and his eyes widen. He stops the elevator, then forces it to go back up. When it opens, he looks to Lana and Layla, "I'm really sorry, ladies, but Isabel's awake. I've got to go check on her." He runs into the woods, following Krios' directions, and finds Witch in the dirt. "Isabel!" He grins, lifts her up, and wraps Witch in a bear hug, "Good to see you conscious, Morgan!"

"Be more cautious. You should not be oblivious to danger, even if your enemy is held captive."

The woman returns to watching, leaning back with her arms crossed. Knowing that, without Sanctum and his power, being aggressive would get her nothing but pain, she decides to take a different route, lies with just enough truth to sound realistic. She shifts again, stretching out her injured knee with a wince and barely bitten down cry of pain. Jackie shudders a bit when she feels heat from the fire, feeling some feeling return to her toes after how inappropriately dressed she was for the icy cold of the room. She eyes the knife in the fire warily, watching the metal heat up, before her eyes slide up to Raven's face. "I can't. I don't know anyway to contact them," She shakes her head, pulling on her wrist restraints again, "Julie hadn't been told us where we were going; we were just trying to get out of Vegas alive."

"What do you think, Raven? Is she lying? Or is she telling the truth?" The woman asks, smiling even so slightly, "Decisions, decisions."

He goes silent, still seething with rage and causing Witch's vision to look red, and when he speaks, it sounds as if he's hissing through his teeth, " That Hooded bitch stole the Host. She gave Jackie to that daughter of yours and a woman I can't recognize. They've been interrogating her for your sister's location. So far, they've entirely crippled her leg because she's resisting; she couldn't walk or escape even if she tried. I can't..." Sanctum trails off, sounding very off-put and extremely lost, almost like a child forgotten in a supermarket, " They've locked her - my - magic away. I... I can't feel her anymore. I can't find her. I wasn't paying attention to where she was and now I can't find her."

( PLOT LINE POST. )

The founder of the Dark Arts uses the satellite she's spent years working on to hijack most of the television programs in certain areas of the world. That would be enough seeing that most people would spread it around for her. They couldn't see her face but they could hear her voice. "It seems like the world wants to hide Dragon's Roar since they haven't been turned into the Dark Arts yet. This message will be brief but if will carry a deep meaning. Eliminate Dragon's Roar or I will eliminate you." The founder presses a button and two capsules fire out of the satellite. One makes its way towards California while the other goes to New York. Each capsule contained 50 condensed Meta Demon. Once the capsules land and explode the Meta Demon will multiply and spread. They would continue to rampage, multiply, and kill until they reached the state's borders. They would only move on to the next one if she ordered them to. For New York and California, this was the end. The founder knew exactly where Dragon's Roar was but she didn't specify. She wanted every country to turn against each other under the assumption they're harbouring Dragon's Roar. She wanted humanity to show their true disgusting colours as they betray one another for their own survival.

Witch was happy to see Felix again but the hug was crushing her. What bothered her the most was Sanctum's response. She responded in her mind so Carnage, Julius, Sanctum, and the other personalities could hear. "I don't know you or Jackie all too well. I don't know any of the guild members beyond names. I've never tried to talk with them but the one person I think I could've had an understanding for is Jackie if I tried. When I was talking to you Sanctum... as brief as it was. I thought you were incapable of showing even one aspect of compassion. I guess I was wrong and I'm sorry for that. Julius remember that story you told me about? An old host of yours who almost became queen of the witches but lost her soul due to losing herself in her greed for power? If I deepened the contract between us just like she did, what are the benefits?"

"You and I would slowly become one. You would have just as much power as I do over blessing who gets witch mana when they're born. Basically the same capabilities I have."

"Alright.... and the downfall?"

"You will have to battle every witch who has previously lived for the rest of your life each time you sleep. If you lose against them, you lose your soul. If you conquer them, you gain more allies for your next battle. Once you start on this path there is no turning back or else you will lose yourself. Your 'inner demons' will become curses you will have to shoulder for the rest of your life until they're resolved. You will no longer be native to this realm. Your duties must come before your personal life to maintain balance for all witches. The training will be horrendous and you will never be the same if even the slightest slip up during training is made. You will be responsible for any and all evil or good deeds committed by a witch. Even after the training, defeating your inner demons, and completely becoming the center connection to all witches the battle for your soul will be a threat to you forever. Are you sure you'd like to go down this path for one person Morgan?"

"I want to use Sanctum to the best of my ability to try to connect with Jackie. While using both you and Carnage to pin point where the spell that wiped out Europe was used at. Once that's done I'll try to get an estimate on any witches in that building. I hope I can find the one two women Sanctum described. I'm just hoping that they're witches and they're in the same area they made that terrible spell before. It's all stupidly risky but I'm willing to make the jump. So yes I will do all of this for one person."

"Hm... I would've denied your request if it were for yourself. You seem so adamant on helping one person. It interests me. Adalinda had a reason different than yours. It was selfish but at the same time you couldn't help but admire how far she would go for power. That was an inner demon she could not overcome and lost her soul. Do not disappoint me Morgan. We shall discuss the contract later but for now I shall help you as a free gesture. Why would you use Carnage though?"

"You've mentioned 12 witches dying in the process of the spell. Many people died in Europe because of the spell. Carnage could be useful in this as well." Witch turns her attention to the mental image in Sanctum. "Is there anything you can do? Anything we can do to help you use some power?"

On the outside Witch was still hugging Felix. Carnage turns his attention to Isaac. "Do not touch my host! If it were Alice I would've pounced for asking... She can handle herself."

Raven picks up the knife from the fire and inspects the glowing blade. "I believe her but I'm not satisfied with her answer. Should we carve the symbol on her skin and make her find them for us? Wait a minute." The symbol on her shoulder glows since she's using a communication spell. "We captured a friend of hers recently.... they'll bring him to us now." She was listing things off as if she were relaying a message to the woman behind her. Once she was done the symbol stops glowing. "I think we can get the even more information out of her and an old associate of the Dark Arts."

Raven puts the knife back into the fire while they wait. Minutes pass and the door opens to reveal an old shackled man. "Looks like I've failed to get away." He lightly mumbles to himself.

Raven looks up at the woman after checking on the knife. "In this situation what would you recommend?"

"Alright." Sierra starts to go even faster. "Why didn't you answer the question?" Sierra's phone started to go off in her pocket. She sighs and takes it out, as dangerous as it is to do so while going at these speeds. "Excuse me, one of my friends sent me a text." The text was all about the message from the founder of the Dark Arts. As well as pictures from inside California. It seemed like hell itself had awakened in the state. "Holy shit...."

Bruce wouldn't be informed about the bombings in California and New York since those were the only places he had any contacts left. But he could certainly feel that something was horribly wrong, even more so than before. He may not have some magical connection like others did but he couldn't shake this sudden feeling of hopelessness. It made him scramble back against a tree in fear. What had the Dark Arts done this time? Why couldn't Dragon's Roar do anything to stop it? It was all just one problem after another and he felt powerless about it all.

Witch was happy to see Felix again but the hug was crushing her.

On the outside Witch was still hugging Felix. Carnage turns his attention to Isaac. "Do not touch my host! If it were Alice I would've pounced for asking... She can handle herself."
Looking over, Felix shakes his head with a sigh, "Leave him be, Carnage. He wouldn't hurt her even if she attacked him," Felix stops hugging her, but carries her like a princess in his arms, knowing that a year immobile has probably taken a toll on the muscles in her legs. "You doing alright, Morgan? You seem really zoned out."

"You've mentioned 12 witches dying in the process of the spell. Many people died in Europe because of the spell. Carnage could be useful in this as well." Witch turns her attention to the mental image in Sanctum. "Is there anything you can do? Anything we can do to help you use some power?"
Sanctum ignores her comment on his compassion, and goes quiet, Witch being able to hear some whispers as demons relay information to Sanctum, "As far as I know, Jackie gave over her ability to heal, an eighth of her augmented strength, her physical resilience, and the ability to manifest a protective membrane that could likely be able to deflect bullets off of you without harm. She gave any powers that would protect you without drawbacks. She didn't want me to corrupt you," He says, then mutters "She's gone soft, " under his breath. He continues, "The healing has already begun to take effect, and I'm currently repairing the muscles in your legs and your arms to full strength, though this process is being hastened by Jackie giving you her strength. Resilience should either help you shake off some attacks, or it will strengthen your dragon scales to a stronger durability. Either or. If my estimation is right, you should be at least able to walk within..." He thinks a moment, silently counting, "... An hour at maximum."

Raven picks up the knife from the fire and inspects the glowing blade. "I believe her but I'm not satisfied with her answer. Should we carve the symbol on her skin and make her find them for us? Wait a minute." The symbol on her shoulder glows since she's using a communication spell. "We captured a friend of hers recently.... they'll bring him to us now." "Honestly?" The woman asks, then shrugs, "Do as you will. The means don't matter as long as you reach the end. Do with him and her as you wish, as long as you get the answer I require."

Jackie looks to the old man, her hand clenching in barely restrained anger as she pulls against her shackles, "Are you hurt? Did they hurt you? Shit, I'm sorry."

Both Carnage and Julius were gaining power from what's happening in California so they knew exactly what was happening. "It seems like a lot of people are dying in California and New York."

Julius adds in to his comment. "Meta Demon... hundreds of them."

"What the fuck are we going to do... It's hopeless, we've lost. Even if we beat the Dark Arts the sacrifice will be too much."

"She's going to need that... and the Dark Arts doesn't intend to stop. We need to train but we can't just leave her there. Alright... Once I pin point where she is I'll go for her. Hopefully I get my strength back by the time I get there. I'll need the other personalities but it may not be so easy seeing that we haven't used our magic in a while. Carnage and Julius are with me. Are you Sanctum?"

Witch blinks several times and focuses on the world around her. She slightly rolls her eyes at Felix carrying her. She was hoping it wasn't a joke and it was actually sincere. She wouldn't appreciate it if he were doing it just because he could. "I was just thinking to myself, I'm fine. Can you take me back to the house though? I need to talk with the others."

Witch turns her attention to Bruce. She felt the same type of emotion. "Bruce it's not over yet. We can't let this end here. It'll only get worse."

Another prisoner, Emily was pushed into the room. Raven drew pictures of chairs with restraints. The members that brought them in here set them in these chairs. "Lets play a game. I'll ask one of you a question. The other must immediately tell me whether or not it's a lie or the truth in 2 seconds. Pure honesty... And each time you lie. She suffers." Raven takes the hot knife out of the flame once again.

Emily knew Raven was no longer the same. Especially when she drove the hot knife through the back of her hand. Raven doesn't pull it out, but instead drags it out. The knife was in between her middle and ring finger on her left hand. Now that Raven dragged it out, her hand was partially split in half. Emily leads out loud screams of pain only to be gagged by a member. She was fidgeting the best she could out of pain.

Raven turns back to Jackie. "First question. Did this man present any items or give you any information?"

Bruce looked up at Witch as he stood up and recomposed himself. "You're fucking right it'll only get worse. That bastard won't stop until the whole world is gone. We have to save what's left and avenge the people out there who's lives have been ruined by these punk ass motherfuckers."

Witch lightly smiles at this, she knew she shouldn't give up as well. She was scared though... putting her soul on the line for the rest of her life is a terrifying risk. "Yeah... it's also my responsibility now to handle these witches. They've gone too far."

"Well, you're not alone in it, you've got the guild, or what's left of it, at your back ready to put their lives on the line for you."
