Fantasy Dragons Reborn

Lilith Tennant - Not all Hero's wear Capes. Some wear Titan Armour

Lilly was patiently waiting for her brother to re-enter, I mean seriously was he really that nervous around her body? Why? It was just a physical form with limbs to be able to dodge, swing and defend easier. She had thought that ever since that night, just a strong shell to be able to hold onto and swing a sword. The clothing was getting increasingly irritating and she had half a mind to throw her old, smelly under clothes back on. She was not one for fashion afterall and only ever wore things for comfort or necessity.

She had a hand on her chin in her musings when the sound of screaming suddenly had her turn in her place, still as a statue. She blinked and a second later she had run to the window, forcing the shutters open with a wide swing. She froze on spot, green eyes huge as she drank in just what was going on. The street...the street opposite of them simply just did not exist anymore. It was smothered and flattened to a black charred earth, not a single standing building or person left.

Her eyes then drifted up to the deafening roar, not in fear mind you, she just didn't feel that emotion. A dragon! She studied it with his bone mouth agap, charging up a second attack. Lucky Lilith didn't think to hard meaning her reflexes were second to none. No wasting time on the what ifs, she already knew she had to stop that thing and NOW.

In an heart beat she had vaulted the bed and retreaved her Titan Sword before charging at the doorway and swinging it wildly open. If her brother had still been there behind the door, he would have been unceremoniously flung away like an ant from her strength, but in the same motion she had thrown her spare hand out to grasp at his wrist with a firm hold. Her eyes as stern as steel as she glanced to him, already half dragging him down the stairs.

"Bone Dragon. It's attacking the town. You can either stay here or come with me...regardless. I'm stopping it. NOW." Her voice was just as stern as her eyes, like there was no doubt or fear at all and in her mind there was no possible other alternative. The dragon would die at her hands. She skipped two stairs at a time with her long legs, dragging her brother as she did. Once on the bottom level, she let go and ran straight to her armour, leaning her sword against the wall.

It was like watching a firefighter get dressed, with dizzying speed she had her chest armour, guanlets, leg covers all hooked and tightened into place. With the armour now back on, she looked roughly double her size and double as intimidating. She tucked the helmet under her arm and rested the man-sized sword casually on her shoulder. In another heart beat she was at the doorway looking back over her shoulder to her brother.

"Follow me if you want, or stay here. Regardless, I'll be where the loud noises and roaring is." At this she gave him an almost childish grin, like a kid in a candy store, not even thinking for a second things might turn sour. She just wasn't smart enough for that. Here she shoved the helmet onto her head and was running out the door before he could respond.

Lilith was running at a fairly decent speed, her armour clanking heavily with every heavy crush of her boot against the floor. As she approached there was a pounding in her heart as her adrenaline soared, this was how she lived! In the thick of battle! She would have grinned had the helmet not covered her face. She made her way to a big patch of scarred earth, sword swinging out at her side and a guanlet crashing loudly at her chest piece. Then she yelled in a loud booming voice so the dragon could hear.

"IF YOU WANT A FIGHT, WHY NOT FACE SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY FIGHTS BACK YOU UNDEAD, DRAGON SCUM! PATHETIC!" Even being as dull as the girl was she knew she had to draw his attention away from destroying anymore of the town or people. If he focused on her it would lessen the collateral.

Magnus Cain

Magnus was not even going to question anything Willow had said. He knew it would not be worth dying for some soap. "Yeah we got to get the heck out of here now." Magnus almost bolted out of there but remembered about Forest and Qillow and grabbed them both by the wrist and ran as fast as possible. "You can be mad about this later when we are safe." He knew for there safety that they should not stop until they at least hit the gate for the city. Now Magnus did look back and did see the dragon going a different direction, this only met one thing to him. An if the city was lucky she could take the dragon without half the city being destroyed.

Grey

Grey is pissed. Absolutely pissed. This is actually rather rare for him as he generally doesn't have the energy for it but for today he'll make an exception. You see, today has not exactly been a good day by his standards. Firstly, he's been traveling for the last few days and that's made him more tired than usual. Not only that but he's also not been able to stock up at the alchemy shop. Furthermore, he got into an unnecessarily fight after a fruitless drinking competition. The man had finally gotten the chance to take a damn nap and now there's a dragon swooping in to ruin that. Understandably, Grey is absolutely furious. Grey gets up from the bed and gets his gear on quickly, his movements practiced and crisp. In fact, he is nigh unrecognizable compared to his usual self as no trace of tiredness or sloppiness can be detected in him. Grey, completely serious for once (even if it is over being woken up too early), looks every bit the seasoned and reliable professional at the moment. He looks like a true hunter.

Not even bothering to go out the door Grey breaks through his window and leaps out. He lands, rolling to dissipate the impact and comes to his feet sprinting faster than one would think possible. He agilely makes his way through the city towards the dragon and Lil, though he doesn't know the last bit.

Grey arrives just as Lil is shouting at the dragon. Wasting no time he sprints up to her and leaps, using her shoulder as a springboard to get to the top of a nearby pile of rubble. Once atop this he takes a deep breath before unleashing a massive string of the most vulgar and offensive profanities at a volume to rival Lil at the dragon. Finished with that, and a bit calmer now, Grey hops down from the rubble and strides over to Lil. "Sorry about that, had to get it out of my system," He turns towards the dragon, "What's your plan in regards to that?"

Forrest the Lovable Bear PersonForrest let Magnus snatch him and Willow away from the point of action, hopeful that the scary lady in armor and the much less intimidating messy dude could take care of it and protect whatever the dragon hasn't murdered already.

Besides that, there wasn't much he could do aside from run... but he at least had to try and help... no, he'd wait until the dragon was weakened before attacking... but that was low! Rude! All sorts of mean and evil! At a loss over what to do like always, Forrest's poor legs locked up once more, resulting in the man falling flat on his even poorer face...

...

Merasmus attempted what would have been a smirk if he still had his scaly lips at the two feeble humans attempting to approach him as though he were nothing...
"How disrespectful to speak to your elder in such a manner... You two are clearly in need of a lesson, wouldn't you agree? But first, I'd like to hear some more of those precious screams of slightly more pathetic humans. I'll save the two of you for last," he said in his deep, booming voice before blasting the same laser from before cleanly around Lilith and Grey, destroying more houses and disintegrating more innocent townsfolk before finally eyeing a certain trio of what appeared to be a human, a bear thing sprawled across the stony road, and an elf. Another blast of power was shot at the three directly, Merasmus waiting eagerly for both the destruction of this city and how the man and woman who dared oppose his power would react to their own demise.

Lilith was still eyeing the dragon with a stern gaze, if she were smarter she would ask just how the dragon got there, but instead she just glanced it over, thinking of her next battle response. She felt a tiny shrug on her shoulder so she turned her head to see just what it was and watched a man pretty much use her height to leap off her and gain a height advantage on the rock.

She peered at him, and he looked oddly familiar but...Then the guy took a huge breath and started spewing profanities like it was the last day on Earth. Her eyes lit up and she couldn't help but laugh. Once he tirad was done and he slid down to walk to her, it was only as he got closer she recognised him as that strange fellow with a love of ale, a weirdly good fighter for such a tiny man and a strangeness of falling asleep. He seemed anything but tired now. Even asked her battle plan.

She was about to answer him when she heard the deep voice of dragon direct at them. She straightened as her guanlet held tighter onto her giant sword, still dangling down and to the side, tip hovering over the ground. She saw it's mouth gap and prepared to take the hit, but then it cleanly missed her and destroyed more of the town. This enraged her to the point her other fist was clenched, and would have shattered bones had anything been between. He was aiming for a group though she couldn't see who it was at first.

"We get his attention, now. And then we kill him." Figures her plan was only two part. Though the next thing she did was rather ingenious for her. She reached up suddenly and yanked her heavy helmet off her head, holding it securely in her once empty hand, shaking her long brown hair out as she did. Here she threw the helmet in the air, only a foot or so, to test the weight. Of course, to her, it was only a pound or two. In actual fact it was enchanted to be closer to 2 tonne for anyone else who held it.

She kept her blade low in one hand while with the other she almost cuddled the helmet to her side. Then she took a step then another, her feet pushing hard into the ground to gain some momentum, spinning in two full circles, then hurling that helmet with all the power of a steriod-induced baseball player, the helmet skyrocketing through the air like a missle and crushing straight into the beasts shoulder. It wasn't leathal, simply meant to gain his attention, maybe enrage it. It would have broken numerous scales or broken a collarbone with the sheer momentum of it as well as the weight.

Here she lifted her sword upwards at the ready and boomed her voice again. "I AM NOT ASKING AGAIN FILTHY LIZARD! NOW FACE ME!" Here she actually started a jog towards it, drawing the blade behind her and looking like she was charging for a full assault with the broadsword. She figured Grey would simply follow suit maybe try to flank it or take a spot of advantage. As she ran she couldn't believe the two were the only ones brave enough to face this thing. She made a tsc noise as she grunted.

Willow the Hydra

"Wait, what?" she asked, but never received an answer. Well, she did, but in the form of dragging her along for the ride. She had to think about whether or not this was a good idea. After all, It did leave them somewhat exposed for a short while, and that dragon seemed hellbent on destroying everything. Not that she could blame it. It was in their blood! But just...not now! After a bit of running, she thought it might work, but Forrest had already fallen on his face. Out of what seemed like instinct, she was already stopped and on the ground inspecting him.

"Come one, Forrest, we have to keep moving!" She had no time for his 'tripping and falling while running away from danger' cliche. They had to get out of there! She looked up to check on what the other dragon was doing. After all, they were just sitting ducks until she could get Forrest back up. When she saw the beam of destruction carried out by its massive magical prowess, she knew she had to do something to prepare for defense right away. It caused her next to nothing to do so, and it reduced Forrest's chances of getting hurt.

Just in case, she figured she had enough time to shift into full dragon mode, which would later make simply growing bigger easy for her. It wasn't like she would be trading out her body parts when she did that, so the overall process just didn't take as much time. The dragon's threat intrigued her, not only because it was rather empty, but because she never bothered to stop and talk to anyone on her rampages. What an amateur! What else was he going to do? Literally lay out what he was going to do to the people he was going to do it to? Oh wait, it appeared as though he had already done that.

Despite the gravity of the current situation, she couldn't help but roll her eyes at his rather unwarranted egocentrism. It wasn't like he had even done much to begin with. And besides, he had clearly failed at least once before considering he literally had to be revived to his bare minimum.

She tensed as the dragon looked over their way, presumably at Forrest's vulnerability. But thankfully she was already a dragon so he wouldn't notice her other form. How degrading it was to be caught by another dragon in that form. Sure killing all the people was a bonus, but shouldn't his priority have been on the buildings? That was the fun part after all! During the time it took the dragon to charge his beam and shoot it, she was already growing to her destructive size, easily rivaling that of the bone dragon.

She took the hit rather easily, almost as if it was brushed off her scales, maybe a slight burn.
"Oh wow. That was so great! You've got a lot to learn, sweetheart," she began in dovah. No need for these other people to hear the affairs of dragons. Another head spoke next, doing a weird thing where they were just gonna take turns because reasons. "Now you can kill whatever you want here," she began with one, then finished with the last, "but you may not hurt these two. Capiche?" She glared at the dragon, protectively wrapping her tail around the other two just in case.

She had no idea who this dragon was or what time period he might have been from, but here, dragons respected the 'treasure' of other dragons. And these two were her treasure. If anyone was going to kill them, it would be her, not that she would do that anyway.

Alicia Red

Alicia's quest to find more positive energy was soon stopped as the chunk of town she was running towards was vaporized after two people insisted on pissing off the dragon. Like, really, what genius yells at a dragon and just stares there? Shaking her head she sighed as she turned to face them, her options were try to run or be useful. Being useful was more fun, especially when you were mostly immortal. Plus if she could keep the dragon skeleton intact...a small grin formed on her face. Yep. Being useful it was. Running back over she reached the area right around the time the dragon shot another dragon. TWO DRAGONS? Even better! She'd have TWO dragon puppets!

Further better it seemed Lilith possesed the positive emotion in the form of excitement she needed to ascend and end things more quickly. All she needed was to catch up to the mountain of the woman to absorb it. Clasping her gem and fluttering along as fast as possible she caught up to her, bright green tendrils swirled out of Lilith briefly before being absorbed into the gem. "Yes!" She shouted triumphantly, ultimately not paying attention to where she was going and running into a street lamp that'd survived the carnage. Lilith probably would be wondering what the hell happened, at-least Alicia thought so. Though she didn't know Lilith enough to know she more than likely wouldn't. Groaning lightly she sat up and turned to face the skeletal dragon, the one actually breaking things, looking up at it's massive form.

Yeah. It wad a good thing Lilith was around, really. She'd need the energy to beat this thing, or help rather. Even ascended she had no chance of beating it alone. Clasping her Gem lightly it shone brightly, the light enveloping her briefly before slowly dissipating. Once it had dissipated fully Alicia's appearance would of changed drastically. Here, she waited in silent anticipation of what the dragon would do next. The negative energy caused from the dragon had almost effected her gem, but luckily she stayed out of range for the most part. The last thing she wanted was to descend and add onto the destruction already being caused. Well..guess this meant she didn't have to worry about finding a room later?

Magnus Cain

Magnus tried his best to get them out of there so they could live but Forest just hit the ground and Willow had started checking to see if he was ok. This was nothing but short of a disaster, even if the dragon was busy destroying everyone else they would be next if they didn't do anything soon. Before Magnus could think of something for them to do Willow took it upon herself to change into her hydra form. Just in time too because had she not the would of been destroyed by the bone dragons attack. Now Willow didn't know Magnus spoke dovah so he knew what Willow said to the other dragon. Based on what she said to him Magnus could tell that it was not just Forest she cared about protecting but also him. He took note of that to remember so he can do something nice for her later, well if they lived. Snapping back to reality he came to realize that while Willow was protecting them he could look through his book to see if there was a spell that could stop this dragon.

Grey

Grey does pretty much as Lil would expect, sprinting around to flank the dragon while firing arrows at possible weak spots such as its eye sockets and joints. Unlike Lil however, Grey is fighting for revenge on the dragon for the horrible crime of interrupting his nap. As he continues firing he keeps an eye out for both threats and possible ways to re-kill the dragon.

As he runs he notices two odd things, not that he cares much in his burning rage towards the dragon. Even so, he still takes note of the other dragon, a hydra to be exact, appearing and getting shot by the bone dragon, as well as the weird girl sucking some sort of green energy from Lil and then cocooning herself in energy. In other circumstances he might have spared more thought to what this girl might be and to where other dragon might have come from. However, he is, while still wary of the dragon and the cocoon lady, preoccupied with trying to end the skeletal dragon and get back to his nap as soon as he can.

MERASMUS THE DEAD SKELETON DRAGON THINGMerasmus rolled his eyes at the petty armored lady and smaller man next to her, and the little girl at had turned into a graceful angel and made his urge to destroy humanity slightly less powerful, his only care being the hydra that had both appeared from seemingly thin air and taken his attack like it was nothing. Well, it wasn't intended to kill other dragons, after all, so he didn't need to worry all too much as long as he stayed in the air. Still, it was gargantuan... perhaps he should just leave it alone? With a snort, he decided not to take chances. "Fine, we'll have it your way as long as you don't interrupt my work. Now, where were we...?" The undead, intimidating dragon looked back at Lilith and Grey with what would have been a smirk before demolishing another portion of the city. "I told you two to wait your turns, haven't I? Be patient, you're demise will come along soon enough!"

As Lilly was running she saw the trio that was being attacked and suddenly some huge Second dragon with three heads sprouted up to tower over them all. Here she skidded to a halt her eyes wide, One dragon yeah, Two? Well even Lilly admited it would not be a walk in the park. That didn't stop her mind you. And if that wasn't odd enough some strange girl run up behind her as some green tendrals enveloped her, glancing over her shoulders as she watched the girl run into a lamp post. What the hell was it with this town seriously, everyone was mad.

She watched Grey's flicker of movement to the side as his bow shots seemed to do nothing. While the dragon was in the air and she on the ground, she couldn't get a good hit on it. Again, Lilly showed a strange amount of ingenious battle tactics, she run and scrabbled up onto a pile of rubble, the size of a crushed building. Once uptop she then leapt into nothingness, and landed onto a plank of wood, its placement acting as a springboard. Here Lilly was literally a flying suit of armour as she hurtled towards the dragon with sword raised. It was one of those moments you wish you had a camera for, she rocketed and wizzed straight past his head, landing with a crash onto his shoulder. Here Lilly punched a gaunlet into a scale smashing it open to give her a handle, before she lifted her huge Titan sword and threw it down with all her strength against his wing joint, hoping to crack it and causing the beast to fall. Hopefully. It didn't occur to her just how SHE would survive the fall.

She hissed at him.

Willow the Hydra

She watched the girl from earlier pummel the dragon after someone else feebly tried to dent it. What was even going on anymore? Respecting the skeletal dragon's wishes, she did nothing to intervene in the fight but watch. Curling her tail tighter around the other two, she braced for any stray attacks that may come their way. There was no chance in hell that thing would harm her treasure, she would make sure of that. But that was just the mentality of a dragon, and she could not help but objectify the two men. It was in their best interest to just go along with it anyway. One head checked on the two while the others focused on the assailants, both on the dragon and off. Three heads made for easy surveillance for Willow. But other than that, she did nothing of interest, and she stayed put where she was. Though just in case, she prepared her lungs for attack. She couldn't predict what was to happen next, so it was better to be safe than sorry.

Magnus Cain

Willow was doing well to keep them safe from how Magnus saw the situation. This gave him plenty of time to look through the spell book, although it was so large he could not find what they were going to need to beat the dragon. Which be needed because if the dragon was brought to life how he thought even if they dismantle the dragon piece by piece that will not be enough because it was not just any dragon but one that can move it's soul to another vessel. But even with him knowing this Magnus was not sure how to send the soul of the dragon back to the land of the dead. At least for now from what he could hear the dragon was having some difficulty so even if they cannot banish the dragons soul at least they can stop it for now.

Grey

Grey watches as his arrows do nothing to the bone dragon. It was honestly to be expected. unless there's flesh to pierce, arrows don't really do much in the way of damage. That fact doesn't make the situation any less annoying. While thinking that he should really invest in a magic bow or something to that effect Grey slings his bow over his shoulders once more and begins to nimbly climb up rubble. As he does this he notices the new girl run into a post... will she be alright in combat? Disregarding this thought Grey leaps off a half-destroyed building and catches onto one of the dragon's ribs. Using the momentum from his jump he swings and flips himself onto the dragon in time to see Lil land on it as well. He was in the middle of looking around to see if there was anything he could do to bring the dragon down when Lil began to smash the dragon's wing joint. Figuring that she could handle that better than he could Grey idly wonders if he should jump back down before Lil can break the wing.

Elise decides to rush the dragon and attempt to smash its legs so it will be less of a threat to anyone. She pulls out her weapon and whistles to signal the others that she was attacking. She quickly began to climb a building to jump on to the dragon. Her axe became lodged in the dragon's front right leg as she swung at it. With a tug, the leg shattered causing Elise to grab onto a rib as the leg fell to the ground.

Merasmus the Evil Skeleton DragonMerasmus could only roll his dark purple eyes as everyone was just so eager to jump onto him. The armored girl's blow to his shoulder and a grab of a scale that wasn't there would only send him back a foot or two, as being unable to feel pain generally made you a better fighter. Seeing the blow to his wing coming, he at least had time to run a current of magical energy through it. The sword would hardly get halfway into his joint before ultimately getting forced back out, and as Merasmus flapped his wings greatly to send him into the air another few more feet, he hoped the gust of air would force the girl back to the ground. The dragon could already hear that lovely splatter...

His leg would mysteriously fall off as something attached itself to his ribcage. This time, it was an orc... disgusting. With a grunt, he snapped off the rib the newcomer was grabbing onto and swung it violently before throwing it into the ground with a sigh. Well, that was one rib gone... oh well. He wouldn't take chances. As he looked around and saw all of the tall buildings that were the cause of the people jumping onto him... A familiar blast of black energy shot from his open mouth, resulting in the destruction of many said buildings.

Alicia Red

Alicia continued to watch as more people joined in and the fighting truely began. The dragon was strong, extremely so, even still it was still made out of bone and thus weak physically. More or less a glass cannon. The other dragon that had appeared didn't concern her, it didn't seem hostile and therefore not a threat. Everyone seemed to be doing decent damage to the dragon thus far, but it wasn't enough. Her heart sank when he destroyed even MORE buildings. She couldn't just sit her observing anymore, she had to help, she had to stop him from destroying more buildings.

Flying up next to it's head she glared at it. "
Hey ugly! Pick on someone your own size!" She shouted out him before sucking in air. Once a sufficient amount of air had been obtained she opened her mouth, releasing a very high pitched cone of sound meant to shatter the dragons bone structure and damage it; if not severely wound it.

Grey

Grey was doing nothing to the dragon. He mainly used sharp weapons which did jack against skeletons, especially gargantuan skeletal dragons. As such he began to look for a way off of the dragon to see if he could find anything of use on the ground. That was when the dragon decided to be a dick and wreck the buildings he would have used to get down. Luckily for him a glowing angel lady decided to fly up to the dragon's head and shout something. Seeing this as his chance Grey lightly runs towards the dragon's head and leaps off, catching onto the lady's shoulder as she launches some sort of sonic attack and hoping she's strong enough to support his weight because the alternative is painful. Grey doesn't especially like pain.

Alicia Red

Alicia was interrupted mid-attack by something extremely heavy launching itself onto her, that in itself caused her to lurch to the side and let out a cry of surprise. She flapped her wings feverently to stay afloat as Grey continued to hold on but to no avail, he was easily over three times her own weight, she could barely lift fourty pounds comfortably. Thus she was forced out of the air screaming in fear before ultimately hitting the ground, hard. She'd managed to not land anywhere on Grey, therefore he shouldn't be quite as injured had she, however she was sure the fall broke a few bones of her own and dislocated her shoulder.

All she knew for a fact though was that she was injured. Letting out a pained whine she struggled to stand, mostly using her wings to keep her from toppling over. Looking over to Grey she sighed. "Are you okay? I'm sorry I couldn't keep us in the air, I honestly had no idea it was actually someone that had fell on me either." She told him.

Grey

Apparently the world liked to see Grey suffer as it picked the alternative. As he fell there was only one word going through his mind, Shit. He manages to roll when he hits the ground which dissipates most of the impact but he still ends up with several cuts and bruises and a couple cracked ribs from hitting debris. He lays where he stopped rolling for a second, feeling the pain wash over him, before the lady's, well more of a girl's, voice gets him moving. With a grunt he gets to his feet and rolls his shoulder before turning to face the girl. "Eh, my fault anyways," he says simply, much calmer now that he realizes he can't do much against the dragon. He appraises the girl and notes that she seems to be in worse shape than he which prompts an idea. He turns back to the dragon and those on it, "Oi Lil, I'll pay you back later," he calls before sprinting off towards the alchemist's shop which he hopes is still standing.

Lilith Tennant

Lilly hissed, the wack of her giant sword to the bone dragon's wing joint seemed to do little then irritate him, just how many hits would it take to take down this silly undead dragon? She lifted her gaze just enough to see an angel girl prepare a blast, and then Grey launched onto her and sent the two crashing to the crowd. Perfect.

Lilly's eyes focused in while the dragon prepared another blast and he let go, she had to stop him now before he wrecked her brother's shop!! She could just imagine Kylios's cry of anguish if it turned to ash....and there was very little of the town left.

She clambered up his back now, coming to the top of his head and grasping the hilt with both hands, point heading down between his eyes. With a sudden almighty cry she thrust the sword through it's bone skull, cracking it as she did.

The sword now wedged to the hilt into the bone, she kept a tight grip and hoisted with all her strength, throwing her body weight off the creature and dragging it's head with body in tow with the momentum of her heavy armour and strength. Hopefully tackling it into the ground, putting the dragon at base level and ready for more paddling!!

Merasmus the Evil DragonMerasmus rolled his eyes as he felt the magic in his skull grow weaker thanks to the barbarian's sword. If he had been able to feel pain, he'd probably be shrieking, but you know... demon magic. The skeletal dragon attempted to fly straight upwards and twirl rapidly, hoping to dislodge the large blade in his skull and shake the human woman off. He was lucky that angel lady had been brought down, because if she used the magic he thought she did, he'd be done for.

Magnus was reading as fast as he could to find the spell that they needed to stop the dragon. Why could not find the right spell, it was so frustrating for him to be reading a book when the city he had lived in his entire life was in danger from a giant dark energy blasting skeleton dragon. This was suppose to be one of the spell books that would possess spells to stop dragons even undead ones. He had gone through so much that he started to think a bit about why he did not find it, maybe he was not looking for the right spell. He was looking for some way to remove the dragons soul when he should of just been looking for some way to just weaken it so the others could pound it into a pile of dust. One more look though and there it was all along in front of him the whole time. The only problem he saw was that it was going to take a while to set up a spell this big, it would require him to draw special symbols around the city. "Hey Willow I got to do something to stop this you stay here and keep watch of Forest." He took of as fast as his legs would take him to the city walls. "Great ," he thought. "Now a ll I have to do right the symbols while running around the city walls."He started running as fast as he could while righting on the wall. "Darn this is going to take a minute."

"Eyeface"

A mysterious hooded figure walked down the large street leading to the center of the city where the heroes were battling against the skeletal dragon. Fortunately most of the civilians had evacuated to safety. Unfortunately, there were some who were left behind, such as this young boy collapsed in the middle of the road, sobbing in terror into his arms, soaking his sleeves.

The young boy felt a powerful presence approaching him, and looked up. In the distance was the hooded figure, whose silhouette was occasionally illuminated by the magic breath emitted by the undead monster. Even then, there was not much to see, really. It was just a person clad in a gray cloak, slightly worn from travel. Yet there was something peculiar about him, other than the fact that he was walking himself straight into danger. Whatever it was, the boy was unable to take his eyes off the stranger.

The boy expected the traveler to kneel down and help him up, perhaps even carry him back to the shelter; but the traveler stopped a few steps away from the boy and simply stood there. The child was about to cry out begging for help, when he was silenced by an oppressing gaze from a single menacing orange eye glowing under the hood, composed of intricate runes and shaped like a tall diamond. Then the eye flattened and widened into a horizontal diamond, and turned into a calmer, soothing blue which made fear vanish from the boy's heart.

The stranger with the magical eye spoke no words, but the boy understood that the eye was telling him to pick himself up with his own strength and reunite with his family - whom he had lost track of in the midst of all the chaos during the mass evacuation. He did so, and he felt a sense of pride within the eye. It did not last long as the stranger continued to walk past the boy and towards the roaring dragon in the distance. The boy muttered a word of thanks before running away.

The stranger arrived at the center of the city and surveyed the situation. A retreating archer, a caster preparing a symbol-based spell, a warrior directly on the dragon, and a grounded angel, among others. Perhaps the caster and the warrior had a chance at defeating this foe, along with the archer who seemed to be making a strategic, temporary retreat rather than running away in defeat. In any case, the stranger intended to assist the heroes on combating the dragon.

Luckily for the lone traveler, whoever summoned this dragon did not simply revive a skeleton through necromancy, but restored its wretched soul as well, judging from its ability to speak. Or perhaps the summoner had implemented other means in order to achieve this? The cloaked figure wished for his initial observation to be true as he levitated into the air and flew up towards the dragon. He hovered in front of the skull of the dragon - and the charming lady on top of it - and stared into its eyes with his own subjugating eye, launching an attack on the dragon's mind intended to evoke submission, fear, or at least some distraction.

It was also possible that the dragon was invulnerable to psychic effects, but the stranger didn't want to think about how dumb it would be if he came all the way up here and wasn't able to do anything. He stared a little harder than usual, just in case.

Magnus had been running the whole perimeter of the city while the others had been doing whatever they could do to slow the dragon down. He only had a couple more feet to go and the spell would be ready to be activated. Funny thing was he took one second to just look to see how things were going and he sworn he could see a flying dark cloak, and base on the reaction of the dragon the cloak was trying to subjugate him using some form of magic. Good thing to that was something that was working and gave Magnus the time he needed. The spell was completed and the release of the spells power created a wall of holy light that swept over the entire city. With this the dragon's physical form was weakened due to the light blocking it's powers, also it left it defenseless to physical attacks. He rushed back to the square so he could tell everyone that they could kill the dragon with ease now. "Everyone the light has weakened the dragon give it all you got."
