Fantasy Dragons Reborn

Lilith Tennant

Lilly was starting to get cranky....exceedingly so! Every hit of her sword, every tackle, every one of her physical based attacks did nothing when her foe couldn't feel a damn thing! And he was nothing but bone, so she couldn't even sever an artery, dislocate a joint or stab it in the eyes!! She was the single greatest swordsman in the humanland and her lack of anything but brute strength with her head height sword was itching an nerve in her pride.

The dragon was intent to try and throw the lady off and for a moment her footing slipped to the point she actually made a girly scream, clinging desperately as her gauntlets clung to the hilt of her blade still wedged into the dragon's bone skull. Even as she held on, rather precariously, now half dangling across the dragon's would-be eye socket, her green eyes turned to see some shadowy black figure....looking-? at the dragon.

Here she was, dangling for her life, and everyone around her had either run, plummeted to the ground, read a book and now...now this thing was looking at it!?

"THAT DOES IT! I'VE HAD IT WITH THIS DRAGON AND THE CONGREGATION OF MISFITS AND IDIOTS!" Lilith screamed in her booming voice that made grown men cry like babies. The girl just couldn't seem to grasp this whole magic business and to her it was a waste of time. It was at that point there was a blinding white light that covered the whole town including the dragon and everyone around it. Lilly felt...energized...her heart pounding with a new adrenaline. An almost delirious grin working into her face. "Oh this is more like it!!' Still oblivious to where the magic came from.

With an almighty call she swung her feet up to hook herself against his eye socket, heaving and yanking the sword from his skull, falling now before the dragon's face.

She didn't fall far however, her Titan Armour now seeming to almost glow along with the sword and she spun, reefing the 6foot sword over her shoulder to cleave right across the thing's neck. Hoping she had enough strength now to decapate the thing! No head, no dragon, right? Her thinking sound....at least in her mind....She'd worry about the landing in another minute...

Grey

Grey makes it to the alchemist's shop, relieved to find it still standing. He kicks the door in and begins to rifle through the potions, looking for anything that looks like it could possibly be of use, particularly healing potions and the like. As he does this a wall of light sweeps through the shop and shortly after Grey hears Lil bellowing something about the dragon and misfits. Why was she so loud? Being loud all the time is tiring. That said, he can't really talk right now because he's doing tiring things too. How troublesome. At this point Grey's anger his pretty much all dissipated and his expression has reverted to his usual tired one.

Continuing to look through the rest of the shop Grey manages to find two likely potions and quickly pockets them before turning to leave. At the door he pauses for a second then runs back and hastily scribbles "IOU two potions" on a bit of wood that had been blown through one of the windows. Feeling satisfied with that Grey rushes back out the door and begins to sprint back to the sight of the battle. He arrives to see Lil swinging her sword at the dragon's neck in midair. Last he checked Lil couldn't fly, could she? Grey hoped she could since he had personally experienced the alternate and would not recommend it. Pain sucked.

Seeing the angel girl still on the ground Grey sprints over and hands her one of the healing potions while saying, "I think it's a healing pot, sorry again." He then takes the time to have a proper look around to see some guy with a book and a grey-cloaked figure staring at the dragon while hovering. Given that guys who read books in the middle of a fight were often mages of some kind Grey figured that he was probably the one behind the wall of light, probably some spell to weaken the dragon or something. Magic wasn't exactly Grey's forte. As for the cloaked figure, Grey wasn't entirely sure what to make of it but as it seemed to be attacking the dragon, or at least not siding with it, Grey figures he can just let that be for now.

Magnus was reading as fast as he could to find the spell that they needed to stop the dragon. Why could not find the right spell, it was so frustrating for him to be reading a book when the city he had lived in his entire life was in danger from a giant dark energy blasting skeleton dragon. This was suppose to be one of the spell books that would possess spells to stop dragons even undead ones. He had gone through so much that he started to think a bit about why he did not find it, maybe he was not looking for the right spell. He was looking for some way to remove the dragons soul when he should of just been looking for some way to just weaken it so the others could pound it into a pile of dust. One more look though and there it was all along in front of him the whole time. The only problem he saw was that it was going to take a while to set up a spell this big, it would require him to draw special symbols around the city. "Hey Willow I got to do something to stop this you stay here and keep watch of Forest." He took of as fast as his legs would take him to the city walls. "Great ," he thought. "Now a ll I have to do right the symbols while running around the city walls."He started running as fast as he could while righting on the wall. "Darn this is going to take a minute."

"Eyeface"A mysterious hooded figure walked down the large street leading to the center of the city where the heroes were battling against the skeletal dragon. Fortunately most of the civilians had evacuated to safety. Unfortunately, there were some who were left behind, such as this young boy collapsed in the middle of the road, sobbing in terror into his arms, soaking his sleeves.

The young boy felt a powerful presence approaching him, and looked up. In the distance was the hooded figure, whose silhouette was occasionally illuminated by the magic breath emitted by the undead monster. Even then, there was not much to see, really. It was just a person clad in a gray cloak, slightly worn from travel. Yet there was something peculiar about him, other than the fact that he was walking himself straight into danger. Whatever it was, the boy was unable to take his eyes off the stranger.

The boy expected the traveler to kneel down and help him up, perhaps even carry him back to the shelter; but the traveler stopped a few steps away from the boy and simply stood there. The child was about to cry out begging for help, when he was silenced by an oppressing gaze from a single menacing orange eye glowing under the hood, composed of intricate runes and shaped like a tall diamond. Then the eye flattened and widened into a horizontal diamond, and turned into a calmer, soothing blue which made fear vanish from the boy's heart.

The stranger with the magical eye spoke no words, but the boy understood that the eye was telling him to pick himself up with his own strength and reunite with his family - whom he had lost track of in the midst of all the chaos during the mass evacuation. He did so, and he felt a sense of pride within the eye. It did not last long as the stranger continued to walk past the boy and towards the roaring dragon in the distance. The boy muttered a word of thanks before running away.

The stranger arrived at the center of the city and surveyed the situation. A retreating archer, a caster preparing a symbol-based spell, a warrior directly on the dragon, and a grounded angel, among others. Perhaps the caster and the warrior had a chance at defeating this foe, along with the archer who seemed to be making a strategic, temporary retreat rather than running away in defeat. In any case, the stranger intended to assist the heroes on combating the dragon.

Luckily for the lone traveler, whoever summoned this dragon did not simply revive a skeleton through necromancy, but restored its wretched soul as well, judging from its ability to speak. Or perhaps the summoner had implemented other means in order to achieve this? The cloaked figure wished for his initial observation to be true as he levitated into the air and flew up towards the dragon. He hovered in front of the skull of the dragon - and the charming lady on top of it - and stared into its eyes with his own subjugating eye, launching an attack on the dragon's mind intended to evoke submission, fear, or at least some distraction.

It was also possible that the dragon was invulnerable to psychic effects, but the stranger didn't want to think about how dumb it would be if he came all the way up here and wasn't able to do anything. He stared a little harder than usual, just in case.

MerasmusMerasmus would have cringed if he had skin upon seeing the blindingly white flash. It hurt his magical eyes, and he began to feel exhausted despite not having muscle or lungs or anything but bone. This was odd... when he got his senses together, he saw a dark figure glare at him with all the scariness in the world. This would cause the once fearless dragon to become fearful and retreat a bit, and while it made him angry that such things happened thanks to that light spell, but really, he should have been grateful. His retreat had made the barbarian's oversized blade miss entirely as he flapped his wings forcefully and roared. With the wind being powerful enough to rival that of a hurricane's, he hoped to send the lady in armor flying straight at the floating dark figure.

If that happened, then things would have been taken care of for the most part. But where did that magical light come from...? Well, that didn't matter, because if it was powerful enough to weaken him, it should have drained the user completely. With a skeletal grin, Merasmus would get back to work on the city, making renovations without replacing things.

Alicia Red

Alicia had sat there in silence and slight pain watching everything. She couldn't do much good in her injured state, at all really. Flying was possible but it'd upset her shoulder to much. She couldn't exactly effectively attack from the ground so she was more or less out of the fight unless it got grounded somehow, or she healed. Either one, really. She shivered in excitement when the light washed over town, it was a nice feeling compared to the malevolent presence of the dragon. Soon enough Grey came over and gave her a healing potion, which she down gratefully in a matter of seconds. Smiling she shook her head, sighing as she felt her injuries heal. "It's fine. Thanks for helping me..now time to kill this thing." She replied. With that, as soon as the wind died down, Alicia took to the sky right beside the dragon once more. She gave it no warning this time, merely inhaling as much air as possible before emitting a powerful high pitched shriek meant to disintegrate it.

Merasmus the Dead Bone DragonMerasmus rolled his eyes as the angel dared fly up in front of him. She was so feeble! Why would she even try standing up against someone of such power? As he opened his mouth to prepare his weakest blast of power, he could feel his entire mind and body erode away as a deafening scream resonated throughout his fragile skeleton. In less than a second, the dragon would come to be no more, and [what was left of] the city was finally safe from his wrath.

Willow the Hydra

To say the least, Willow was a bit disappointed in the dragon's performance. No wonder he had died before. Looking around, she observed the mediocre decimation of the town. She was very disappointed that the alchemy shop was still standing, as she was excited to get revenge on that wench from earlier. How could she get rid of it while making it look like an accident? She wasn't too excited about the prospect of having all those people after her. After all, she could only take on a few at a time, not an entire squadron of them! She snorted indignantly, trying to think of what to do next. In order to shrink again, she had to blow of some steam. Without energy loss, she might be stuck here for a while.

With a loud roar from all three heads, she took Forrest by his toga and picked him up. She gently yet swiftly placed him onto her back, making sure he was in a roughly secure spot. After he was positioned, she trampled over to the crowd of people that just destroyed the other dragon. Along the way, she stepped on what was mostly rubble, but 'accidentally' crushed a few of the remaining buildings on the way. Now she didn't particularly care that she did, but she hoped it wasn't significant enough to enrage the other warriors. It wasn't like she could get there without doing it, so what was the harm? Besides, the alchemy shop wasn't along her way, so the wench wouldn't have anything to say about it.

When she was close, she picked up Magnus much in the same way she did Forrest, using his clothes to pick him up so as to not hurt him in the process. She swung her head around and placed him near Forrest, hoping they were secure enough to stay on. Now it wasn't like she secured them with anything; she just put them in a position where she assumed they wouldn't fall off. With no further motive to stay behind, she made her way back towards where she was earlier, trampling a few extra buildings along the way. If the town was destroyed, and no one else of interest to her was left, there was no point in staying in said town. For now, it was time to find another town to destroy. Yay adventure!

Forrest the Lovable Bear PersonForrest looked around in confusion at all of the broken and destroyed buildings scattered around what used to be the city. Whoops. Well, not like he could have done anything to stop it, right? Upon taking a look down at his arms and legs, he thought otherwise as a few cracks to the head with a fist may or may not have made it stumble... whatever.

Of course, the man was used to climbing atop the highest trees and scanning the area, but he had never been higher than that. He instantly began to feel woozy as Willow's dragon form lurched across the city, the wobbly feeling not helping at all with his newfound fear of heights. As instantly as he could, he latched onto a protruding scale and squeezed his eyes shut, letting distressed cries of misery escape his mouth. He would have been embarrassed if he knew what shame was, but he didn't. Guess that's a plus.

Sabrina

Sabrina opened one eye to the sound of destruction. Smoke. Screams. Black fire- wait, black fire only means one thing. Her head snapped up as she gazed upon the Bone Dragon, a wide, insane smile crossing her face. "Yes. This is the best day EVER. First a hydra, then a Bone Dragon? YESYESYESYESYESSSS!" Something changed within Sabrina. Maybe it was due to the fact that she won't punished by her creators. Maybe it was the fact that she might get a reward for bringing both in. As the bone dragon crumbled to the ground, Sabrina shot up from her resting spot and bolted towards one of the pieces of dragon bone that that flew off of the dragon before the dragon disappeared. It looked like part of a rib bone, but it was enough for her masters to use. She quickly shoved the piece into a small container, quickly sealing it. The container stopped further corrosion from the destruction of the dragon itself. She grinned at the container and shoved it back into her bag and looked over at the hydra slyly.

Magnus didn't realize this but when he got back to tell everyone it was ok to kill the dragon that he used up a lot of energy casting the spell, so he had fainted. He didn't remember what happened but he woke up write as Willow had picked him up and put her on her back. From what he could tell everyone was still alive and the dragon had turned into a pile of dust. Forest was next to him looking around in confusion of what had happened. He seemed so frightened for some reason, Magnus wanted to do something for the big guy but he was just so tired and had to focus on not falling off Willow to know what to do. He could see she was heading away from the city, with know real regard for were she stepped. Well at least most of the city made it. He didn't know when or if he would come home but he knew it was time for them to find something else to do now. On they way he could see his house had made it through the whole ordeal, "Hey Willow keep going I'll be back." He slid down Willow landing a little hard but safely and ran inside his house. He didn't have much time so he grabbed a map and all the money he had inside his safe. Now he was ready for some adventure, locking the door on the way out he runs as best he can to catch up with Willow and Forest. "Guy's wait for me!!!"

Willow the Hydra

Willow hardly noticed that he was gone. A little pressure found its way to her side, but she didn't really pay it any mind. Her head was basically in the clouds, still just walking along like nothing was wrong. One of her heads, eventually, checked up on the two to make sure they were fine. She instantly noticed that Magnus was gone and stopped to turn around, looking for the dumb human. She saw him coming and let him catch up, then quickly and forcefully picked him back up, starting her journey again. She could see a village in the distance, and she couldn't wait to get there. You know, to trample it. Magnus' punishment for running off was a time out in her mouth, where she kept him for the time being. He didn't taste great, but he needed to learn not to misbehave like that.

Lilly swung wide, grin ear to ear, the killing blow! She waited with a look of blind excitment as she waited for the dragon to scream in agony! (It didn't occur to her it could feel no pain.) Seconds passed as she watched in slow motion the dragon leaned back, and in even slower motion her eyes widened as the blade completely missed.

No thud, no crack, no shatter.

Her face filled up with a few emotions, surprise, then dread then rage. Though it returned back to fear as she started to fall. Her eyes drifted closed in a weirdly accepting fashion, the giant suit of armour lady just kind of knowing she would fall to her doom.

Something weird touched her shoulder, a blue light and then she felt herself horizontal but laying against the ground. Her green eyes slipped open then with a look of bewilderment. No crash? No fall damage? This was all wrong! She jolted upright in time to see the fairy girl scream like a banshee and the dragon was no more. Then her gaze drifted to whoever that cloaked figure was beside her, pointing a finger accusingly, not knowing he was the one who broke her fall. "YOU! What kind of crazy physco looks at his foe and does nothing else?! What were you 'looking' for? A friend? Bah!!"

Her gaze sweeping to Grey not too far away her booming voice on him now. "AS FOR YOU SLEEPY HEAD, GREAT FLANK THERE...LEFT THE BATTLE TO GO TO THE RESTROOM!? idiots...the lot of them..."

Half her anger probably because she had not been able to do any real significant damage to the dragon and that didn't sit well with her pride.

Grey

Grey walks over to Lil and holds out the unused potion to her, "You should probably give this back to your brother," he says, his tired look back in full force, "I went to his shop to see if there was anything useful there as I wasn't exactly hurting the dragon much." He then begins to look around at the damage, his eyes pausing on the ruins of the inn he was at, and more importantly, of the bed inside. He sighs, life was way too troublesome after all. He looks around for another inn but they all seem to be wrecked. I guess this is my lot in life, he thinks resignedly before turning back to Lil. "Oi Lil, hate to ask, but have you got a room I could shack up in? I need some sleep," he says, beginning to sway on his feet, "I'll pay of course."

Lilly peered at the short sleep guy as he wandered over, potion in his hand. She let out a soft breath she didn't know she was holding, glad he was alright. A dragon foot crushing her would have never happened, but Grey seemed the type to be easily pulverised by giant skeletal dragons. She lifted an eyebrow. Did she just show worry or concern for something other then her armour or sword?

She was thinking too much, and frankly it hurt. Especially when that organ wasn't exercised often...She took the portion and tucked it into a section of her armour at her lower back, straightening now and using the sword to help her stand tall once more, brushing the dirt off her shoulder plate.

Her green eyes drifted down as Grey mentioned sleep once more and rolled her eyes upwards. Her tone stern but soft, not her normal bellow. "Fine! I will talk to Kylios about letting you bunk with us...but I really think you should take a portion for that tiredness...And no I don't want your money...think of it as payment for winning the drinking contest!" Slapping a hand on his shoulder with an absurd amount of strength that probably rocked his core.

@HuorSpinks (kylios shop) @skwablehawk ( standing nearby)

Grey

Grey staggers under the force of the slap, he probably could have avoided it but he decided not to as that would take too much effort at the moment. The mention of a potion for tiredness intrigued him for a moment before he realized that she was talking about a potion to decrease tiredness. That was a pity, he wasn't worth wasting something like that on after all.

At Lil's mention of not taking his money because he won the drinking contest he sighed lightly, why was she being so troublesome? Ah, no matter, he would just leave some coins on the counter or something when he left. Though, he might want to hide them with the normal revenue from the shop so that she doesn't try to give it straight back. He's going to have to work hard for a bit to make enough money to pay for this and the potion... so troublesome... Why could people not just take naps all day? That'd be lovely.

Even so, Grey found that he, surprisingly, didn't mind Lil. This was surprising because she was loud and stubborn, two of the most troublesome traits a person could possess. Under normal circumstances Grey would try to steer clear of those like her as much as possible. But, for some reason he didn't mind Lil. Well, that's not entirely true, he knows at least some of the reasons. For one, the simplicity and honesty inherent to her personality, it was actually rather refreshing in a world full of over-complication and untruths. For another, it was probably that, while she was loud and stubborn in her beliefs, she generally meant for the best in her own way, and he could respect that. Made her a better person than he was anyway.

"Thanks Lil," he says, having regained his balance and holding his hand out to her to shake. He was actually quite grateful to Lil for agreeing to talk to her brother. He knows that she hasn't exactly known him for very long and has absolutely no reason to trust him, especially when that trust includes letting him into her house. In fact, were he in her position he would have likely refused without so much as a second thought. As such he was surprised when she agreed at all, especially so quickly. And on top of that, refusing his money. Honestly, if she weren't so strong she'd have met with a terrible fate long before with that outlook on life. But, he of all people had no business worrying about her, or anyone else really. After all, he'd proven he didn't deserve to.

Alicia Red

Alicia, once the dragon had been finely ground into dust, stopped her attack and sighed before gently descending to the ground. Much of the village had been lost..but she'd managed to save some of it with the help of the others. If only Grey hadn't stopped her initial attack then the dragon would of been dead before it could destroy more. Oh well, he didn't do it on purpose plus he had helped her be able to finish it off. She watched as he and Lilith argued with an amused expression on her face, she found them funny really. "
Sooo. Now that that's over..I'm Alicia nice to meet you guys!" She told them cheerfully. To her the day was just a normal day again, the dragon was dead and everyone remaining was now safe. Slowly but surely she changed back into her normal butterfly-esque hybrid form. She'd expended most of her magic over the course of those two extremely powerful attacks, even if one hadn't been fully executed it still used the energy, so it was currently taking her all she could do to retain conciousness.

After a minute of shaky standing she moved to sit down, though instead of sitting down she simply fell onto her back outright unconcious. She was..mostly fine. Just exhausted.

Lilith Tennant

Lilly watched Grey stagger under the weight of her shoulder pat, regretting it for a moment. She reached over suddenly to grab his biceps with her armoured guanlets, haunching over with her tall height to peer at him.

"Hey...You ok? " of course a moment later he regained his balance so she instantly straightened, let go of him and looked away. Though her gaze returned when he put his hand out to shake, so she wordlessly put her gaunlet hand into his to shake back. This time not hard or strong, oddly soft for her.

Lilly turned as the angel... thing... called Alicia approached with a smile and changed back into a butterfly... thing... "My name is Lilith Tennant." She wasn't human so the name wouldn't ring a bell for her. And then Lilly watched her try to sit and instantly collapse from exhaustion. Lilly sighed and grumbled to herself.

"Guess that's one more to add to the sleep over..." Before she strode over to the girl and scooped her up in her arms, elbow of one arm tucked under her head, her legs dangling over the other. Lilly was even careful to lift her high enough so her wings wouldn't scrape against the ground. She wandered back to Grey. "So, I think it's nap time, how about you?"

Turning to look to the eyeball looker. "Seeing you...tried...to help in the dragon fight I guess you can tag along to..." It never occured to her what Kylios would think about 3 extra people sleeping at his Alchemisy shop but she'd deal with that later. She started to walk towards the only section of town not flattened.

Eyeface

The stranger watched from a distance as the angel descended to the ground and reverted back to what seemed to be her regular form. Surely, an attack of that magnitude must have drained her strength, the stranger thought. Indeed, the girl collapsed down momentarily after introducing herself as Alicia. Still, her power impressed the stranger. He had rushed over to this city after he had detected the presence of the undead dragon with the goal of making its power his in mind, but here he had encountered something even greater.

He was about to step in to pick up Alicia when the woman who introduced herself as Lilith stole the honor. His eye frowned and turned a dark orange in mild irritation as she spoke to him. He had no obligation to care about her safety during combat. He doubted her ability to decapitate a giant bone dragon. The fact that she was not able to react quickly to an unexpected change in the course of battle made it extremely difficult for him to accept her as a warrior, and yet here she was, blaming him for her failures. He had hoped that she was at least clever enough to figure out the identity of her savior, but that didn't seem to be the case. She was not even questioning it.

As much as he wanted walk away from Lilith, he could not walk away from the girl being carried away in her arms. Perhaps she would be able to understand him. Besides, he wanted to help her recover from her exhaustion. He knew more than anyone else how it felt to be drained of energy after a particularly heavy use of magic. Or, perhaps it was a little milder for Alicia. The natures of their being were completely different, after all. Regardless, he wanted to be near her in some way or another. The stranger only nodded, and quietly followed Lilith.

Lilith kept a tight, protective hold on Alicia and wordlessly she walked over the entire scorched Earth to come before only a handful of building left unscathed. The Alchemist shop in the middle. Here she approached the door and noticed the front door hinges broken, glancing over her shoulder to glare at Grey.

She strode in, before gesturing them to follow her up stairs, past the second level and his laboratory, to the third level and his living quarters. Walking straight into his bedroom and placing Alicia in the bed, pulling the blankets up to her shoulders, and tucking her in like a mother might. Forcing the sides around her probably a little to strongly. She tip toed out, as quite as a huge suit of armor would allow, before closing the door and facing the two left. Grey and eyeball man. She hoisted her sword up and over her back, resting it against a bookcase and sat down on a chair to start to unbuckle her chest armour. Between buckles, she gestured down the hallway to the cupboard. "Sheets are in there, you'll have to create a blanket matress..Or sleep on the couch..."

Here the girl finally unhooked her chest piece and swung it over her head, letting it slip from her fingers only an inch from the ground and it almost broke the floor boards. Next she hooked a leg up to start unbuckling her shin pads and boots.

What she failed to remember was with every piece of armour being pulled off and away, she was left in very little. She had just escaped a bath when the dragon had attacked and had thrown on her brothers clothes which fitted terribly. It was far to tight around her surprisingly large chest, and rode up like a tank top exposing her toned stomach. And her brothers pants were much to tight around her wide hips, and strong thighs, her long legs making it ride up to her knees instead of her ankles.

Once all her armour was off, she stood and stretched before heading into the kitchen to make some grub. She'd also failed to put her brothers underwear on so there was a distinct lack of a underwear seam in her pants. If she did notice, she didn't care, but she didn't notice because she wasn't a good thinker.

Grey

Grey follows Lil towards her brother's shop, looking away innocently when she glared at him for the broken hinges. It wasn't his fault the door was locked after all.

Following the tall woman inside he ascends the stairs and looks around a bit, mainly to see what he could sleep on. Anything would do really but he preferred to have something comfortable if at all possible. Hearing Lil mention where the blankets were Grey looks over at her to find her in the process of unbuckling her armor. He could never understand why people liked armor so much, it was heavy and made you slow, just way to troublesome in his opinion. When she took off her chest piece he noticed that she was wearing really tight clothing which struck him as a bit odd, he hadn't pegged her for that type of girl. It just goes to show that trying to understand people is too bothersome. And hey, different strokes for different folks. It's not his business what she wears around her own home.

Walking over to the couch Grey is about to collapse onto it when he realizes that he's actually rather hungry. Feeling a bit annoyed that his stomach is preventing him from sleeping he turns to ask Lil if there's any food around only to see her walking into what appeared to be the kitchen. He follows her, also failing to notice the lack of an underwear seam in her pants.

The tall girl wandered thoughfully around what she assumed was the kitchen, it wasn't her house and she wasn't that skilled in the kitchen as she was. A thought bristled suddenly where her brother was, I mean she had not seen him since they had returned....maybe he had fled to the outskirts of town? He seemed the type to run away in a dangerous situation.

Her thoughts were drawn back to the counter top and she lifted a piece of fruit, turning it in her hand slowly. Then she suddenly smashed it down with brute force on the counter, watching it get crushed, then scooped it into a tall glass, just in time for Grey to follow behind. She turned, apple pulp glass in hand and offered it. "Ahh...apple juice? It's extra pulpy..."

She really had no idea and one could only assume if left in there she would burn the whole place down.

Having watched Lil make her "apple juice" Grey knew in an instant that Lil had absolutely no clue what she was doing in the kitchen. She was probably more likely to burn the house down than to make something edible, much less tasty. This posed a serious problem, Grey didn't really want to sleep in the open air and if he left her to do as she pleased he would likely have to. He declines the "juice" with a shake of his head and motions for Lil to make room for him to get to the counter as well, a nigh imperceptible flicker of irritation appearing on his face. Now, Grey wasn't annoyed at Lil, he was actually thankful for the offer, if not for the "juice". What he was annoyed at was the fact that he was being forced to expend even more energy by taking over food preparation from Lil.

Stepping up to the counter Grey takes off his gloves and rolls up his sleeves before looking around for suitable ingredients with which to work. He locates some meat and vegetables and sets about making a simple, but hearty, soup out of them. Before too long the aroma of the soup begins to waft out of the kitchen and spread throughout the house.

It might seem strange to some that Grey had taken the time and put forth the effort to learn how to cook but there's a very simple reason. Cooking for yourself is cheaper than buying cooked meals from inns or taverns. The less money Grey has to spend the less money he needs, and the less money he needs, the less he needs to work. Due to this, Grey views the little bit of extra effort to cook worth it in exchange for cutting down the amount of effort required to go out on jobs to make the money needed for precooked meals.

As Grey approached and declined her juice, she oddly didn't make a sound of protest. She instead lifted the glass of crushed apple to her lips and gulps the thing down while it was a big ol' glass of ale....

Ale. Now there was something she could go for...

In her thoughts Grey had gathered ingredients and already started making a stew. Here she towered over his shoulder, possibly getting much to close to his back in her curiosity. He was making something that smelled absolutely amazing!!

She realised, as she clutched her growling tummy, she was famished and even before he had finished or walked away she had clasped the spoon he was using to stir and plopped it into her mouth to eat it!

Of course...hot stew is hot, so almost instantly she gagged and roared, slumping to the ground in the middle of the kitchen, tongue hanging out painfully, and water in her eyes. Yes, water. Not tears. She didn't cry. Ever.

As Lilith pulled herself out of her armor, the stranger saw and noticed everything. He did not particularly care in any way, though. Or did he?

While the others headed down to the kitchen, he reopened the door and stepped into the bedroom. He closed the door behind him, pulled a chair over next to the bed and took a seat. He gazed at the girl's face, determining her current condition. This way of examining someone's vitals was not any special power of his, but actually a quite simple technique that has seen widespread use. Sorcerers who study magic only to expand their offensive capabilities, however, often dismiss such knowledge.

The stranger couldn't help but be impressed once again, this time by Alicia's rate of recovery. It would only be a few days or less for her to be back to full strength, while the stranger would have taken more than twice as long to recover from the same impact to his energy. Still, perhaps he could reduce to those few days to one night, and the girl would be grateful. He gently rested a hand on Alicia's forehead and channeled his own energy to her. He felt himself gradually erode away, but Alicia was receiving the energy with such a negligible loss rate that it would take only a little part of him for her to recover completely. The next day, they would talk.
