I'll wait until after your next post and have her make her entrance then while doing her tri-monthly jaunt to chase down one very stubborn mage. He always escapes, but he travels back with Gwyn rather easily. Like its a bit of a game between them. This is the first time he's ever gotten this far of a head start though.

you will also want to read up on the chantry the dominant religion of the area so you at least get the religious feel of the world.

I second this. Dragon Age is a large and politically complicated Universe, so it's gonna take a lot of research on your end for character creation and continued roleplay. The Chantry is a good start.

well to be fair you can pick a lot of what your average peasant would know fast only the eilite and mages would have any serious education

you know

elves are the poor people in alienages humans get to boss around
Dwarves are traders as thats all a peasant would see and they live under ground
Qunari are big and scary

mages are bad if not in the circle because demons take them over

yeah but most mages are forcibly placed in circles and "guarded" by templars who are just waiting to kill a mage if they suspect demons or blood magic

My character is one by the way, which is why she is chasing down a mage at the moment. When she joined the order, she never really thought through the fact that she'll have to cut down her sister if she gets caught up in demons or blood magic. If Iris doesn't get made Tranquil first.

Templars are a relgious order of knights that are counter mages they have good points as mages can get tajennover easier by demons but they often are heavy handed.

redroseknight I just wanted to mention I love your FC. I have a templar character from years ago that is quite similar and also uses the same faceclaim, so I love her by default lol
