just wanted to make sure this was okay. I decided on doing a half-human with the other half being unknown (is that okay?)ANNNNND is being a mage and having my specialization being a medic? I keep looking at it and it looks like it doesn't fit.

There are no half-human races in Dragon age. Children of elves and humans are respectively human.

Only 1 mage role in act 1, sorry. Being a mixed blood character is fine though, however as I see Panda posted before and answering the latter part for me. Half races aren’t quite like other universes and end up being seen as human.

i mean yeah you can be a medic as far as i know most estates need a nurse or two or you can be a merc as we aren't at military stuff yet

Nah your good haha. It’s one aspect of DA that kinda feels unfortunate in a non serious way.
I’d love to see a dwarf & elf come to think of it. They won’t appear any different really but the story there would be awesome.

Role wise there is not really anything in specific per say. But if you have a character that can plausibly fit into the plot without breaking DA lore is usually accepted.
A non mage medic is one idea though, they could be included into the current growing scene quite easily. But plenty of ideas still out there, I’m open to helping find one if you’d like.

My next post will be rather long and begin within the great hall then lead into the woods. Your character could pop in around the time of the group finding Zeddicus (which will be towards the end of my next post. Or if you’d like enter sooner you can have your Gwyn enter the great hall and perhaps figure a possibility is your errant mage could be tied in some way or be hiding outside highever, either way it’s a way for her join the group to start and tie in both motives.
Really? I never knew that but Sandal always was a mysterious one.
