I thought ETG was black and gold maximum edge lol, though, I assume making them white is for appearance reasons to the human public?

I thought so too, but apparently not. Ice and ryik both somehow envisioned white with black and gold highlights. Oh well, officers will still have progressively more black and gold.

What comes to mind when envisioning an ETG uniform?


For me, it'd be the uniform the ETG character I made is wearing, the only of my ETG characters to actually wear something resembling a uniform.

I imagined the ETG uniforms as white, but what do you know, he also has Ice's black and gold highlights. Go figure.


The purple aspects wouldn't be a part of the uniform of course.

Hey! I'm thinking of making a CS and I have a question. What faction would you put sound/vibration manipulation in? I'm pretty sure it would be Unaligned but I wanted to know what you people think.

Personally I would say dimensional.

Dimensional - Having to do with the 3 dimensions of space, the dimension of time, and all other unidentified dimensions of existence,

in addition to bending physics, gravity, and other laws of the universe.

Yea It could. To me though the bending implies like well changing reality and I feel vibration/sound manipulation doesn't really do that but I can definitely see where you are coming from.

I'll just handwave that rule if what you both do with it is different. Differing weaknesses may suffice too, but I'll have to see how similar the two Gifts are.

Anyone may now submit ideas for Derikan creatures and plants using the application on the Updates thread. Acceptance for these will be very lenient unless a plant releases spores that kills everyone in a 100 mile radius or anything ridiculous like that. After the first several are accepted, they will be compiled into a post in the Overview thread. Happy creating!

Since I have been asked multiple questions by people -


To clarify some things on the first IC post:


Yes, Alice is trying to get more recruits for the Factions.


Live feed is given to show recruits how evil ETG are.


Reporter diverts from the script and starts showing the battlefield, thinking the Factions would win. (It's not a good idea to show the battlefield to people. Ever.)


It seems like a decisive victory for the Factions, as ETG has lost their teleporter.


Turns out it was an ETG trap and reporter gets shot.


Cameraman may or may not have been injured, don't recall. But he's turned into some sort of quadraped and is running away.


He finds Byakuren, Crow Fiore's fiance. (Crow is the leader of the physical faction). She defeats a ton of ETG, but is eventually overwhelmed.


High ranking ETG official is smug.


Reporter lady turns out to be not dead and because the ETG killed her entire family in the past (at the very minimum) she has an intense hate for ETG. The Factions never told her to do it, but she suicide bombs into them, taking out the camera too. Survivors in the nearby vicinity is unknown in this point in time.


Of course, the observers have no way to know that the reporter did it of her own volition. So it reflects very poorly on the Factions. Although, if one connects the dots, maybe someone can conclude that the reporter started to do her own thing ever since she went to the battlefield.

You two have different ideas for sound manipulation, so it's fine. It just /appears/ that you have the same Gift. But they function and use different parts of sound. (Although there may be some overlap)

Also, has anyone else noticed a distinct overbalance of Physical Gifts? Looks like almost half the current characters are classified Physical. And we have absolutely no Mental Gifts at the moment. O.o

and on the topic of ETG uniforms: I almost had black uniforms in Gwen's app before rereading Ice's IC post and quick fixing it. Does anyone remember what color they were in old Derika? I honestly can't. Was it even stated?




also, envisioning different factions having favored colors. Maybe not full out uniforms but at least a color to represent each faction *this probably belongs elsewhere*

Okay, first off ETG uniforms were most definitely black with gold highlights in Old Derika.


They are now white with black and gold highlights, with increasing amounts of black for the higher ups.


Dcat, I'm making a Mental Gifted soon! Very soon! I noticed the imbalance too and am working to fix it.


Beeb, depending on the specifics of your Gift, it is either Dimensional or Unaligned. The effects (teleportation and energy blast) are Dimensional, but if the mechanism behind them could make it be classified as Unaligned. I doubt your character's body physiologically produces teleportation and energy blasts, but if it did, it would then be Physical.


Edit: Upon gaining select new information after conferring with GLORIOUS ADMIN PRAISE BE THEIR NAME, your character's Gift is Dimensional for sure.
