Fantasy Department of Defense Against the Supernatural

Piper made her way up the stair cases, yelling at civilians to get below ground. She turned, staring out the broken glass walls toward Yog-Dagor where she could just barely see Greyston fighting. "Reed." A hand jerk her shoulder to face the agent before her. She looked at the young man and after a confused moment, still worried about her partner. She recognized that it was Sander. "Your job." He nodded toward the others and then walked away, shooting down swarms to clear the way for the others.

Piper shook her head with a deep breath. Her job wasn't to worry about Greyston right now. He was competent. Civilians are not. She started calling out orders again. "Do we have a clear route to the basement?"

"We do!"

"How many entrances and exits?"

"One. We'll keep a couple agents here to guard these people."

"Good. Get them underground." She walked toward the front, watching for danger.

Galleytrot came up beside her, clothes absolutely soaked with... Whatever, what she assumed to be Migo blood. "I didn't expect this," he said casually. "Funny how sometimes you end up fighting god-beasts."

Corin nodded, and he and the other agents continued their assault. The helicopter was low on ammunition at this point, and having trouble dodging the large tentacles. It dove out of the way just as one came down at it, clipping it's tail. Having taken a hit and lost a fair amount of maneuverability, the helicopter left, deciding it best not to stay and be destroyed, or take others down with it. One of the other agents summoned an electrical wolf called a Raiju, the wolf dove in, hacking and slashing away at the tentacles, working it's way toward the actual monster itself. Others were using their own spells, talents, and abilities to do what they could. Most of the humans had run out of bullets at this point, and took to finding survivors, and moving them to a safe place.

Zhaine smiled, and watched her for a moment before getting ready to go himself. "I'll make it up to you, how about I take you out after work? What do you say?" He asked as they left, and he locked the door to his apartment.

"So it would seem," Buwan said in agreement. He was by no means a man with any shortage of self confidence, however he lacked the belief in a successful fight that Will seemed to have. 'We have faces, so the group could be tracked down again, surely.' Buwan thought to himself. He readied his weapons, prepared for a fight. It seemed a bit of an odd paradigm, while they were in an alley, a fight here would surely draw someone's attention.

The beast wasn't quite dead. It was very weak though. Apparently the bot didn't explode close enough. It mattered not though, as he had 2 more.

The repair bot went to work. 55%. 60%. 70%, while the self-repair went to work. 72%. 73%. 74%.

The shock bot recently summoned went blazing past everybody up to the beast. It exploded with electricity built in the bottom as the weaker bot rolled up to the beast. When both bots lined up vertically, one above and one below the beast. They both detonated. The electricity released wiped out all the power around them, and released a built up 51 Mega Volts. This beast took an even bigger shock. It wiped out the minions and took down the tentacles.

Luke patched in to the air support. They were stopping for fuel. Good. He patched in to the helicopter, who was low on fuel. "Land that thing. There's nothing else for you to do here." He patched into Corin. "I'm sending a helicopter to bring you back, as our helicopter has to land for fuel." He summoned a huge electric helicopter and sent it to where Corin was located.

He turned back to everyone in the building with them. "Pack up everybody! We should be heading out soon. The others should be coming in to search for more survivors. There's nothing more to do here." He yelled

(seriously, can this thing just die already)

@KattRai

''Seems that my buddy here agrees. You all have to die'' William said as he cracked a cold, emotionless smile towards the group and extended some tentacles from his back. '' I may not be able to take all of you at once in this human body, but I might as well try'' he said as he released a roar and jumped for the enemy he saw the weakest: the ghoul. As he went for him, he got pounced by something big. The werewolf, he guessed, as he started punching the furry face above him.

Meanwhile, the vampire and the other aswang headed for Buwan, while the ghoul and the first Aswang watched as Will was pllumetted by the wolf, waiting for a opening to strike.

Allerio stopped his attacks a while now. He was still a mile away from everyone watching carefully from the top of the skyscrapper. ''I'll wait for the best possible moment, then I will strike'' he thought to himself. Of course, he would strike the monsters only if it was truly needed and the other people fighting them would be overwhelmed.

Upon begin electricuted by the shock bot Yog Dagor's entire form begins convulse and destabilize, then after a few moments it's entire body explodes, causing a slime a substance to go every where.

Luke sighed his relief as the beast exploded. The turret outside stopped shooting. "Clear!" Luke said. A huge cheer erupted within the building. The minions were disappearing. It was over. "Get your things together everybody! We're leaving. Anyone who wants to stay is free to do so."

The helicopter Luke sent to Corin's position arrived and landed in an intersection. The repair bot went around attending to injuries. Luke spoke through it. "Let's get out of here. The army will take over everything else here. We have cases pending in DC. I called for extraction immediately. The plane back to DC will arrive in 20 minutes."

@KattRai

@Sleipnir

Corin ducked low, trying to avoid getting covered in the goop but that didn't really work. Several of the agents cheered and Greyston called for everyone to head back to the temporary base to gather those left there, then they'd head back to D.C. "I'll stay behind to help coordinate some relief efforts until the National Guard or whoever gets here," he told them, after everyone had been rounded back up near the vehicles, he chose a few agents to stay with him, seeing as to how the a few of the vehicles had gotten destroyed in the fight, anyway. "Damn, this really isn't what I signed up for, I hope they don't make us responsible for clean up." He really didn't want to worry about that. "Piper, you've got charge until I get back. If you need anything just ring me. If you don't, ring me anyway. I like getting calls from beautiful women." He was, evidently, returning to his usual self.

(I'll get to the other reaponses a little later, in busy at the moment

Piper relaxed. "He's back," she said, shaking her head at her partner's attitude. "The real messy part starts now. Should we leave it to local authorities to deal with the mess from here?"

She walked out of her building, taking a breath as she watched the disaster zone. Silence had fallen now and slowly, people were peekig out of buildings and doors. The massive black spaniel trotted up beside her, standing shoulder to her ribs, and shifted back to Galleytrot, still covered in Migo blood. "I could use a change of clothing." He told her. "I really do hate when this happens." He looked around, clearly very concerned about the civilians. "How many deaths?"

"We don't have a casualty count yet," Piper told him. "We might not ever get one."

"Casualty?" Galleytrot scoffed. "These are people, and not even soldiers. Doesn't that word seem devaluing?"

Buwang raised his own weapon, a quick, chopping and slashing blade with a unique, pronged thrusting tip. He did not usually kill others like him, and was almost grateful that the other two vampires (Aswang being a sort of vampire in his opinion) did not recognize him. He waited for them to attack, and when they did he dodged, attacking with the wooden hilt. He clearly was landing disabling blows rather than trying to kill them, and that costed him. He was struck by the Aswang, and stumbled forward, falling out of his rhythm.

Woodbury or Smiles sat on the side of the MH-6 Little Bird, with his fellow assault team Goliath members, with their legs dangling over the edge of the small platforms on either side of the small black helicopter, and their assault rifles strapped to their kevlar moving frantically against the powerful wind, the team members were prepping themselves both mentally and physically for anything oncoming once they entered the disaster zone, 2 Little Bird's each with 4 team members on them hovered just above the surface of the street pavement, the soldiers hopping off the side and moving into a crouch position around the helicopters, as they took off, a larger Black Hawk helicopter taking their place, the helicopter having the Department's logo on the side of it, as a group of 8 hazmatted men jumped out from it, running over with various cleaning equipment towards the slimy covered areas.

Smiles stood up once he was satisfied that his team had secured the area, noticing some disgusting slimy crap all over the street, his face wrinkled up from behind his smiley painted mask at the sight. Holding his M4A1 casually at his side with one hand, he surveyed the area, noticing the man he was told to be Cortin something, he waved over to the man. Jogging over to him and begining with in his usual Kansas accent.

"Damn, d'we miss the party? I told them we shouldn't have waited to refuel the birds.." He said, looking back at his clearly at fault team for the refueling incident. He was irritated at missing his first operation with the Department, but if they were anything like he was told, he'd have another chance soon.

Assault Team Goliath

En-route to target area...

@KattRai

Corin noticed the man, the cleaning team and the assault team. "Yeah, just a bit," Corin said with a smile. "We could have used you lot about 10 minutes ago!" Corin was honestly surprised that the fight had gone so well. The city was destroyed, sure, and they lost quite a few good agents, but their casualty rate wasn't as high as he expected. "Is your team the one charged with clean-up, then?" He asked, noticing the men in hazmat suits.

"Depends on what?" Zhaine asked, amused. He squeezed her hand and pulled her close. They spent most of the day there, as Zhaine did not get off until late afternoon.

@KattRai

Smiles laughed at the man's comment with his usual hearty Southern sounding laugh. Patting Cortin's shoulder, following up with. "I think me and you are going to get on just fine." He said, as the other 7 members of his team sprinted into positions on either side of the street, their weapons still raised and inspecting the surrounding area for any irregular activity, the Cleaners begining to spray some purple water like liquid over the slime, dissolving it. The Black Hawk's rotors still spinning as Smiles gestured for Corin to follow him.

"Name's Major Ellis Woodbury, Head Weapons Specialist for the Department, that's my assault team, Goliath. The hazzies are here to clean up, we just make sure nothing bothers them while they do it." He says, as one of the mulitcam uniformed men from his team jog up towards the two, whispering something into Smile's ear. Nodding in agreement he gestured for the soldier to leave. Saying to Corin.

"Well it appears I'm needed back at HQ for a briefing, I sorta didn't go to the one I was supposed to, due to...well this. Anyway, just call me Smiles." He finishes with, pointing to the painted on smile on his face mask, and the patch with `Smiles` written on it. Walking towards the Black Hawk as the Cleaners finish with the last of the slime, finishing off rather quickly, the men in hazmat suits walking towards the Black Hawk as well, as the two Little Birds from before land to pick up Goliath Team.

"Want a lift?" He asked, turning round to Corin, his thumb pointed towards the Black Hawk.

(So he's a vamp right? Sweet.) (Sorry, I couldn't reply earlier, was busy)

William couldn't even see Buwan under the shower of hits the werewolf was giving him. It was a fiery beast, and it's punches hurted like a hundred cinderblocks on the Kraken's human face. He was feeling what he hasn't felt in a long time, not from his underwater fights... Pain. It was horrible.

As he he was struck repedeatly by the wolf, William looked around for the axe that he dropped during the attack, but to his dismay found out that the ghoul took it.

He felt a sudden surge of fury, and with an unearthly growl, grew claws and impaled them right into the werewolf's green eyes. The wolf shouted in agony as the Kraken dug deeper into his eyes, blood spraying everywhere. A devilish laugh came from the Kraken's mouth, as for a moment he returned to his former fury. Throwing the wolf off of him, he punched the other Aswang, and taking the axe, decapited him with a single blow. The Aswang's head rolled on the ground, near the werewolf's eyeless corpse. The ghoul, seeing his friends dead, released a shrieking shout and pounced on William....

Luke patched in to Corin. "Are you staying here, or going back to DC? We have a lot of cases pending."

Luke wasn't going to leave without Corin and Piper. The assault team was here, but were carrying regular human weapons for some reason. They were no different from the army. Luke knew the beast's chances of coming back were pretty impossible, but if something else popped up here, those normal low caliber weapons would be useless, which was why they were called in in the first place.

@KattRai

"Right, since your team is hear I'll let them handle coordination with local enforcement and whoever. Neilson, Akio, Tulsa, you guys stay here in case anything should occur, you guys are handy with lightning and such." He said to a few of the agents. He made arrangements for the others to have rides back, then got in the Black Hawk with Luke, Piper, and Woodbury. As they climbed in, he examined, the new guy, "Hmm, you're going to need a nickname, that's too long for my tastes. What's that accent, Kansas? Oklahoma? Oklahoma is too long, so Kansas it is... or Texas... hmm."

(Sorta, he's another kind of Filipino vampire, the name of which I actually currently can't come up with, It starts with a B...)

Buwan Kept pace with the two he was fighting, and finally managed to knock the vampire out when it was distracted by Will's sudden violence. "Calm down, we aren't supposed to kill them unless they force use to, William." He called to the man, trying to remind him that they have rights too.

Luke pulled out his laptop on the airport and started his research. He spoke to the pilot. "Take us to the airport. Our plane is to DC waiting."

They were on the way to the airport. They had a lot of paperwork to do, and a bunch of cases pending. Luke sighed at the pain in the ass that was to come

As he gave a last hit to the ghoul dispatching it, William turned to Buwan. ''Sorry. My old ways seemed to got a hold on me back there'' he said as he looked to the eyeless werewolf and the decapitated Aswang. He did overreact, but at least he didn't kill the ghoul. Grabbing the ghoul's unconscious body he flipped him over his shoulder and eyed the perimeter where they were fighting. The vampire was knocked down, but the other Aswang still remained, quivering in fear as he left himself cuffed by Buwan.

''Take these two back to the Department'' he said to Buwan. ''I need to take care of the corpses''

"Yes," Buwan said, "If you'd like, I can take care of the corpses, though." He added, looking as though that's the job he'd rather do.

Greyston, too, started working on his pile of paperwork, given he couldn't be making calls. He knew there were people working on cases as they came up, but he didn't like to be there without overseeing the happenings at the department.

''Fine'' William said. ''Do as you wish. I'll get these rascals back to the department'' he said as he pushed the vampire and the aswang in. The ghoul, which reverted to his human form was shaking in fear. He was a bearded man, and he looked homeless. '' Please'' he begged. '' Don't kill me. I was only doing this for money''

''Save it'' Will said as he pushed him into the van coldly. ''State your name''

''Graham Swan. Sir''

''Well Graham. You just got yourself a free ticket to the Department supernatural prison'' Will replied as he got into the van and drove off. Gaving a wave to Buwan, he mouthed the words ''See ya back at the Department'' as he drove off.

@KattRai

Before the fight with the tentacle monsters was finished, Allerio returned to Washington for a little hunt. He saw that his aid wasn't exactly needed in New Orleans so he didn't see any reason to stay there anymore. From a skyscrapper he could see a ghoul which transformed into a homeless man. He seemed to be a villain, as he was about to get arrested. One black arrow was generated from the elf's bow and he accurately pointed it at the direction of Graham's head. Then he launched it.He was 1 mile away so it would take about 6 seconds before the arrow would strike and from Allerio's point of view nothing could stop it from hitting its target.

William was still loading things in his van when he heard the quick whooshing sound of an arrow followed by a grunt and a big thump. Curious of what happened, Will got off and checked the back of the van. What he saw, he couldn't believe. Graham was dead, a black arrow sticking in his head, right in the middle of the forehead. Growling, the Kraken turned around and ''activated'' his true eyes, so he could see better. So...he looked for the attacker. After a couple of minutes, his eyes fell on a black figure which seemed human on the top of a far skyscraper.

Glancing nervously at Buwan, William concentrated his voice and shouted to the man. ''Show yourself!''

@Azure Sky

Allerio was slightly surprised he was detected so easily. He launched a couple of grey arrows to hit near the place William was sitting and generated a few limited radius shockwaves, just to distract him. Afterwards the elf jumped from the skyscrapper and used wind magic to fly ,through jet propulsion, a few miles away from the building. William will have realised that the black arrow on Graham's forehead disappeared, as all arrows from the Bow of Armageddon disappear after one minute. Allerio wondered if the man also managed to distinguish the features of his bow.
