Dancing soothes the soul

Jayden knew his wife hated to see him go but he didn't have much of a choice. Besides, it wasn't that far and he never took trips out of the country after what happened in Africa. He knew she would be alright in the kids company and the week would fly by..

Alyssa was alright with the kids until she had an allergic reaction to the paint she used to help the twins with their project. She laid in the hospital bed and sighed as she had the oxygen mask on. She hated this and really hoped they didn't contact her husband.

Of course they did call Jayden but there wasn't much he could do from where he was. She was going to be okay though, nothing major. In the evening after his first day of the conference he had flowers delivered to her as he always had when she was in the hospital and called her to make sure she was starting to feel alright

When Alyssa saw the flowers, she smiled softly at them then answered the phone to talk with her husband. "I'm fine love. Just a small scare." She told him as she let out a sigh. "I miss you." She added.

Her husband laughed softly, he hadn't been gone that long. "I miss you two Hun." He says as he set all his things down and laid on the bed while he stated at the ceiling. "'I can see I should have told you to stay out of trouble and not the kids."

Alyssa laughed softly as her smile never faded. "I guess so." She whispered and then let out a content sigh. "So, your opinions on Lilly and Jace?" She asked him softly and then laughed. She found the two absolutely cute.

"My opinion? It's not happening, that's my opinion." Mkay den replies with a laugh. Lolly was still young and didn't need to worry about a relationship and he wasn't ready for the baby of the family to make that step.

Alyssa laughed softly but then sighed. "Jayden it's going to happen eventually. I see it. It's there and you know what I'm talking about." She told him with a laugh. She knew her husband wasn't ready for this.

"She's still a girl Aly, don't rush things." Jay says with a yawn as he rubbed his face tiredly. Lilly was only 15 she didn't need to worry about boys.

Alyssa sighed because she knew she wouldn't get through to her husband. "I'm not rushing anything. You don't feel a spark more then once in your life Jayden. Night." She told him because that's exactly what she saw on their wedding. She meant that but she wasn't looking for a small argument. She knew what Lilly felt but she knew Lilly was scared her father wouldn't approve.

Jayden sighed when they hung up. He never claimed her to be wrong, the two did remind him of Aly and himself but they were to young he believed. Jay and Aly weren't together until after he turned 18 and even though Lily and Jace had Ben friends for a few years he still didn't want his daughter getting hurt.

By the end of the week, Alyssa got to return home and this week wasn't the best week for Lilly. Riley's girlfriend just seemed to be picking in her the entire week and this routine for this weekend required a lift up. Lilly of course being lifted. She felt like something was going to go wrong. "I'm not ready for this weekends game." She told Jace with a sigh before she was pushed against Jace and fell on him as they both fell on the floor. Riley and his girlfriend Clary laughing as they walked away.

[Lexus]

"You're never ready for anything." Hee friend replies teasingly. As she was pushed onto him he instinctively wrapped his arms protectively around her as they both hit the floor. The impact of course caused Jace a substantial amount of pain but he did his best to hide it knowing it would concern Lilly. Slowly getting up he browned slightly out of annoyance for her brother before he offered her his hand.

Lilly sighed and when they fell, she immediately looked at Jace and stood up. without his help but looked at him in worry. "Are you okay? Where does it hurt?" she asked him as she held his hands and looked him in the eye. She hated knowing this happened and that it was because of her. He didn't deserve any of this to happen to him.

 

[Lexus]

"It doesn't hurt, it's fine," he reassured her as they walked towards the doors to leave the school. "You'll be great tonight, just quit worrying." Jace says reassuring her that everything would be alright.

Lilly sighed as she looked at Jace and nodded. "You think dad will make it back home in time?" She asked her best friend as they stood at the steps of the school. She was really nervous for tonight. She hoped their new routine impressed. She was just nervous someone would end up falling and little did she know that'd be her.

 

[Lexus]

Jace looked up from the steps and smiled. Pointing to a familiar car he turned to her. "Looks like he made It to me."


Jace says with a laugh. As he watches her run for her dad. "You'll be fine!" He calls to her again, later he would learn she would be far from it.

That night was one Lilly was both nervous and excited for. She got up and walked out to the field with the rest of the team and got ready for their new routine. She was nervous for it and like usual, they started it and everything was on point and perfect. Up until the lift where Lilly was lifted but fell back and noticed her spotter wasn't behind her. She landed straight on her back and cried out in pain. Riley watched and looked over to Clary who purposely didn't stand behind Lilly. He really hoped Lilly was okay but by the way she dropped her arm over her face, he knew she was seriously hurt.

When Lilly fell the whole crowd let out a gasp in shock at what they just witnessed the field quickly cleared and the medics were called. At this time Jayden had already jumped from the bleachers and ran onto the field. Crouching down beside her he whispered softly to calm her down. "It's going to be okay." Based on what he saw he knew she could suffer traumatic injuries and Se needed to be kept still. Taking off his jacket he slowly proper her head in hopes he wasn't hurting her too much. .

Lilly began to cry when she heard her father call out to her and when he began to move her head, she grasped his arm and dug her nails into his arms from the pain. "Daddy it hurts." She whispered as her make up smeared everywhere. She was in to much pain and soon Alyssa was over where Riley was and then she asked Landen to watch him.

[Lexus]

"I know honey, don't move." He says softly as she gripped his arms. By the way she fell she cloud have a head injury and he needed her to stay away. "Stay with me." He says snapping his fingers as she closed her eyes for a moment and held a finger in front of her to see if she could follow it.


Meanwhile Landen nodded to his mother but kept calm in his semi panicked state after he too watched what happened to his little sister. Despite the fact their dad knew what he was doing everyone had a feeling something horrible probably happened.

"It's hard." Lilly whispered as she closed her eyes yet again. She couldn't keep them open and eventually, she let the want of unconscious take over. By this time a siren was heard and Riley watched as the rest of the drill team whispered to each other. Riley saw Clary and he sighed. He didn't expect her to let this happen. Riley looked around in the stands for Jace however and when he spotted him, he saw the worry in his eyes but not only his, everyone else's.

Jayden sighed and when the medics arrived he moves out of their way of putting his daughter on a stretcher with her neck supported. As they took her away he walked over to Aly and let her go with Lilly. When he ran off the field and for his own car he ignored the clapping of the crowd. He wasn't sure yet if this incident was an accident but he knew it was serious.

Riley looked over at his older brother and sighed. He knew what happened but he wasn't going to sell out his girlfriend like that. "Let's go." Riley said as he looked at Jace. "You want to come?" He asked looking at him as he ran over.


Aly sat in the ambulance with their daughter and sighed as she watched the paramedics work. Lilly would pull through no doubt but this was serious. She would need a lot of recovery time, even Aly could see that.

Jace held his tongue when Riley approached him as his muscles tensed up by his presence. He simply shook his head and turned to Landen. "I'll come in the morning." As much as he was worried for Lilly it was a family affair and he didn't want to intrude.
