Dancing soothes the soul

Alyssa laughed softly and nodded as she sighed and began to yawn. She was exhausted and honestly wanted to sleep. So after awhile, she slowly began to fall asleep. She was exhausted after all.

Jayden sent all the kids home and sat with his wife as she slept. Today certainly did not go as planned but all that mattered now was that Alyssa was alright. He couldn't help but sigh, some people just didn't know how to let go of a grudge, high school was so long ago, why did this still matter to Angela.

Alyssa was starting to feel a lot of pain when she woke up. She looked up at Jayden and sighed as she watched him and laughed. "I'm thinking the same thing trust me. She's still jealous of me." She told him with a laugh and noticed it was just her and her husband. "Sorry our anniversary was ruined." she whispered.

"It wasn't ruined, you're still here." He whispers with a smile before he went to help her get comfortable again. Leaning down he kissed her forehead. "I love you."

"I love you more, Jayden Woods." She whispers as she smiled and held his hand. "The kids alright?" she asked him with another soft smile as she let out a yawn. She was still exhausted. "Did Lilly go see her boyfriend after all?" She added with a laugh.

"Boyfriend? Since when?" Jayden asked getting defensive over his baby but calmed down when he discovered his wife was teasing. "They're just friends." Jayden whispers more so to reassure his self.

"Just friends who love each other." Alyssa whispered with a laugh and smiled. "They're cute." She added as she looked over at Jayden. "Reminds me of you and I."

"I don't know what you're talking about." Jayden replies quickly. To him Lilly was still his baby and he simply didn't want to accept the fact she was growing up.

Alyssa laughed softly at her husband and then yawned. She found it cute how her husband refused to come with the term that Lilly was growing up. Both of the twins were. Soon they'd be off to college in four years then starting their lives after that.

In the following days Aly went home and Jay kept a close eye on her until he could leave her to go to work. Lolly went back to school, Riley still being suspended took over watching his mother while Jayden was away.

At school, Lilly was terribly sad because her best friend still hadn't returned. She hated walking these hallways by herself but the drill teams been keeping her busy. Their first show was in a couple weeks at the first football game. It was going to be exciting.

Her best friend Jace luckily was released just in time for the big game night. Being home for two days now he decided to surprise her on her big day of leading the team and showed up to school. When he saw her he walked up to her slowly but surely, he was still healing but doing a lot better than he had been. "Hi stranger." He says with a light laugh.

Lilly was at her locker and when she heard her best friend, she turned around and leaned over to hug him gently. "I've missed you." She whispered and when she pulled away, she sighed. "I'm so nervous for tonight. I feel like Riley's girlfriend hates me." She said with a laugh. "I have all your notes by the way." She added with a smile.

When Lilly heard her best friend, she turned to look at him and hugged him close. "I missed you." She whispered but she was being as gentle as possible. "I'm nervous for tonight." She added with a sigh. She loved their outfits however and she loved being the only one different then the rest. "I feel like Riley's girlfriend hates me."

"She's just jealous." Her friend points out. "Don't let them get you, I think they've had enough fun pushing your buttons." Smiling he took the notes she handed him and laughed softly. "I'm not surprised, thanks." Once she had gathered her things they walked to English together.

Lilly laughed as she nodded and walked with him to English were se smiled at her older brother and sat down in the desk. She wanted school to be over already. She wanted to be out on the field. She was excited but nervous for tonight.

"Well look who decided to role in." Landen says teasingly to Jace. "I'm glad you're feeling better." He says walking over to the two and handing Lilly back her A paper.

Lolly looked at her paper as she smiled and saw the hundred she got on it. She was happy to have this. She wrote about her mother. How Alyssa was her hero because of everything she did in her life.

Landen then proceeded to return everyone else's papers before he addressed the rest of the class. "Morning children." He says with a smile while he took a ball off his desk and began to throw it in the hair and catch it. "Who wants to be first victim and read their paper to the class?"

Lilly looked at Landen as if he was crazy for making people read their papers out loud. Nobody volunteered to go and honestly, Lilly knew Landen would pick her and she hated that.

Landen smirked as none of the kids all were hesitant. "You don't want to read about your heroes here?" After a few moments of silence. "Very well, follow me." He says leading them out of the room and into the auditorium where each of of their heroes was sitting.

When Lilly saw her mother and her father there, she smiled softly and knew they were there because she wrote about them but when she saw Bella, she figured Riley wrote about her. "What are we doing exactly Mr. Woods?" One girl asked and Lilly smiled. Only her brother was a great teacher like this.

"Good question Nichole." Her teacher answers with a smile. "You're going to read to them." He says with a bright smile. When the kids looked at him confused he explained. "It's important to understand that a hero can be anyone not just a fire fighter or a police officer as society often shapes the to be. How many of these people do you think believe they're heroes?" Landen was trying to make a point but he wasn't sure the kids got it yet.

Everyone looked at him confused and Lilly smiled. She understood and she could tell Jace did as well. "Can I go first?" Lilly asked as she smiled and walked over. She saw her parents smile at her and Lilly smiled at them. It was time they knew what she thought of them.

Landed nodded to his younger sister and moved out of her way as she took the stage. The point of this whole assignment was to understand not only a hero could be anyone but that often times so spectacular individuals provably remained unaware of their impact.
