Jonas sneaked his way over to right behind Kattie. She was sitting down on her lunch table— all of her food uneaten— looking around the commons for... Someone...

"Heya, Kat," he said as he hugged her from behind. Kattie jumped in surprise, then looked up at her boyfriend.


"Oh. Hello, Jonas."


Jonas quickly gave Kattie a quick peck on the cheek.


"Were you looking for me?" he asked.


"No, actually," she responded. "I was wondering where Lukas was."


Jonas nodded.


"Ah," he said simply. "Need help?"


"Sure," she said. Jonas stood up and looked around the lunchroom.

Lukas soon slipped into the lunch room and snatched an apple before looking around intently for his best friend. He soon spotted her beside Jonas and hurried over. "Hey." He said.

"Hey yourself," she replied. Jonas flashed a quick smile at Lukas.


"How 'ya doing, buddy?" he asked, patting Lukas' shoulder.

Lukas held back a a scowl, not wanting to fight with him in from of Kattie. "Good," he said stiffly, taking a bite of his apple.

Jonas nodded.

"Awesome," he said. "I'm going to go get my food now." Jonas gave Kattie another kiss on the cheek, and made his way to the line, leaving her

and Lukas alone at their half of the table.

Kattie gestured for Lukas to sit down.


"Are you only eating an apple for lunch?" she asked.

 

[Hershey Kisses]

Lukas nodded, sitting beside her. "Yeah. I ate earlier," he said, watching Jonas. "What are you doing later? I'm thinking of going to see a movie.

"Oh," Kattie said. "Well, Jonas already invited me to watch the football game with him," she said, referring to the match between Garfield and

Ed White High School. She smiled lightly, and started unwrapping her sandwich. "I supposed I could still go after the game, though."

 

[Hershey Kisses]

Lukas nodded. "If you can't come, I understand," he said, smiling at her.

"Alright," she responded. "Maybe tomorrow then."


Kattie looked back to her food and started eating in silence.

Lukas soon finished his Apple and tossed the core at the trash can and it fell in with a thud.

Jonas returned to the table with a tray.

"So," he said, sitting down. "You going to the football game, Lukas?"

Lukas shrugged, looking at Jonas. "Probably," he said, crossing his arms on the table.

Jonas smiled.

"Awesome," he said, before turning to Kattie. "So Kat," he said.


Kattie looked up at Jonas.


"Yeah?" she asked.


"How's the sandwich?"


Kattie smirked.


"Shit," she stated. "It's so dry." Jonas looked down at his own tray.


"Want a bite of my pizza?" he asked.


Kattie shook her head.


"Hell no; the cafeteria pizza tastes like cardboard."


Jonas wrapped his arm around Kattie, and took a bite of his pizza.


"Bullshit," he stated. He looked to Lukas. "Pizza or turkey sandwich?" he asked.

Lukas chuckled. "Sandwich."

"Bullshit," Jonas repeated. Kattie slowly took his arm off her shoulder and went back to eating her food. Jonas smirked, and went back to

eating his.

Lukas watched Kattie eat before stretching and standing up. "I should head to class," he said.

Kattie smiled at him and waved him off.

"What?" Jonas said. "You have a class this period? I thought this is your lunch." He paused to laugh. "Why even bother? There's only like, three

minutes left before the bell."

Lukas rolled his eyes. "I think I should let you two have a moment."

Jonas and Kattie smirked, then kissed, and the bell rang.

Lukas rolled his eyes and walked into his next class.
