Biography: Ava is the child of a water spirit and a dryad (Thay were both female, and I won't go into detail about how it worked). She grew up in the Black Forest. After a decade or so, she gained a reputation for exchanging gifts for books and other information about the outside world (Mind you this was in 1910). She often helped anyone who stumbled into her grove regardless of who they actually were. Her existence continued like this until a week ago, when she discovered a small mailbox, containing a letter inviting her to the academy, a train ticket to the academy, and some spending money.
