He clenched his fists and grinded his teeth, "Do something like that again and I'll show you just how much I remember our fucking fight." He furrowed his eyebrows and angrily watched the last fight. "This fight better be quick, I'm tired of watching these children already. Nothing very impressive from what I'm seeing right now."

Diego chuckled, "Right. 'Remember our fight.' You couldn't touch me, remember?" He looked at the fight, "Yeah.. these students seem hopeless... then again, we did come late." He shot a glance at Alister, grabbed his arm and zoomed to a different location, waved at him with a big smile then zoomed out.

Alexis frowned at his lat comment, "Yeah. Whatever." She looked at Mika, "So, dude, Anything you wanna ask me?" Well, it's not like she didn't have anything else to say... Actually, that's totally the reason she asked this question.

He held his chin again and thought for a moment, "Well...let's start with...what it's like in Colorado?" He smiled again, "Is it a bleak place full of criminals and darkness? Or is it a peaceful lit up area with kind people? Anyone who isn't a human live there?" He didn't want to overload Alexis with questions.

"Bullsh-" he was then zoomed to a different area and he blinked as he saw Diego wave at him and zoom away. He was silent. Looked left. And looked right. He clenched his fist, grinded his teeth, and was furious, "Diego, you son of a bitch." He started to run. Fast.

Alexis thought for a moment about his question, "Colorado? Well, I guess like any state, it has equal crime and peacefulness. It was okay to live in." She thought more about the last part, "Well.. until recently, no. Mainly human civilization." She didn't have much to say about the place, it was an average state, nothing too special about it.

"Well that's not so bad. Um...there's not really all that much to ask. I kinda studied Earth for a time, so I have no further questions for it." He smiled, "So...what rank do you think we'll get? I'd imagine we'd be the same since our duel resulted in a tie." He turned his head and watched the duel. He was eager to get a rank and start at the academy.

"Fine then. " The false Maris shattered. Mari however, raised her hand as if she where summoning somthing. A hook came her way, (sorry when I read your post I missed this.) and she spun on her heel. It hit her shoulder, a searing pain erupted. She gritted her teeth, easing her arm again. "...." full concentration poured into her contraption.

Her eyes lit up , to everyone else including Callowway . It would seem a hole opened under neath him, and Mari returned to her normal sized. To them it would look like she used the earth to allow her to shoot pillars at the male.

She coughed, walking around with her arm outstretched, making sure if he did break out the Illusion he wouldn't hit her immediately.

Calloway threw another punch at her before the pillars shot up making his fist burst through the pillar And miss her. Quickly twirling around and missing another pillar he saw his chance and took it. Launching out of the hole underneath him he headed straight for her and threw a left hook

Chapter 1.75 - A Squad a day, keeps the authorities away​

The captain watched the fight go on as he notice something terribly wrong with Mari, "Hold on." He interrupted the fight, he saw Mari was about to collapse. The captain went to her side, "Come on, kid. Let's get you out of here." He picked her up, "Calloway wins." He took her to the medical office and laid her on one of the beds, "Overuse of powers and being overly cocky. Two qualities that need to be worked on." He returned to the arena, "Alright with the tournament now over, the squad assignments will now begin. Please gather 'round!" He exclaimed and Nikki made her way to stage.

Alexis looked at Mika, "Well, If I had to sa--" She was interrupted by the announcement by the captain.

[That Lass Over There]

Reign walked into the main hall, gazing around in wonder. To think there were so many other forms of intelligent life, just beyond the atmosphere... Her eyes twitched at the sight of a mass of bugs that took shelter inside a shell, and noted to herself that not all aliens were pleasing to look at. Or think about. Or be around. With conclusions made brief, Reign led a charge consisting of herself and herself only to whatever area of the large room that did not contain that thing. She noticed many beautiful people along the way, some she mentally made notes for, but the freakish sight was currently the largest motivator. Finding a nice wall to push herself against in hopes that the horror show wouldn't come near, two balls of black mass the size of baseballs leaked out of her backpack to in front of her, and she watched in wonder as the followed the thoughts she let roam free, turning from scenes in a play to mist that leaked from her outstretched hands to the floor.

She completely missed the fact that she was supposed to be going into the cluster of people.

Adelina's concern for Mari grew and she watched her being carried away, but she didn't have time to react as they were called forward to receive their squad assignments. Addie stood near the edge of the group and to the front, eager to see what she got.

Alexis was suddenly interrupted when an announcement was made. He looked at a student who was being carried away and he was slightly worried. He then turned back to the stage and smiled happily, "wonderful! It is time to figure out what our ranks are. Let's go, Alexis!" He stood up and put the encased sword on his back. Walking over to the group of people, eager to find out what rank he got.

Kalo and Halie watched in silence as Mari crumpled for her own faults. Halie scoffed, while Kalo chewed his lip. Nate would have screamed her name if Kalos hand didn't cover his mouth. "Nate she's fine. She just pushed herself to hard when she's been hiding her powers for to long. Kay?" The blue haired boy nodded. The trio went up to the stage as they where told and waited sadly for their roles. Not talking to anyone but each other. Even then, nobody spoke much as they where all secretly worried about the cocky girl.

Mari shook her head. "I'm finnnneee" she staggered. It was so long since she used such illusions before. She just used her other power to stay hidden. She watched as black dots came into her vision, and as soon as she reached the medics office, she passed out, only to blame herself.

Calloway was mere centimeters away from delivering his finally blow when he was told to stop. Instantly coming to a halt as if frozen from a dime. Honestly his opponent was rather lucky, seeing as how his fist had stopped mere centimeters in front of her face. Quickly standing up tall he silently bowed and walked a little to the side as others came on stage. Collecting his weapons he then looked to his fists and started to fumble with the big leather wrappings around the spikes, trying to get them off his hands as he waited to be assigned a squad

Glash continued watching the fight, taking in the capabilities shown by the combatants. While they most likely did not reveal all their tricks and strategies in just this fight, Glash concluded the more they knew of others' fighting capabilities, the more easy it will be to counter them if ever need. 'We must try and understand what we did wrong with Fjord; he is not one to get agitated easily, even when he is...drunk.' A small group within the swarm continued to posit. 'That is a matter that should be resolved later. We will ask the dwarf what the reason for his anger is then. There will be no more talk of this!' Glash ultimately concluded. The swarm was indeed one entity, but this exchange of ideas could be equated to a singular organism having internal conflict with feelings such as guilt. In the swarm, such feelings could manifest more physically as sections of Comtarians wanting to go against the main will of the swarm.

As Glash continued this debate amongst themselves, they happened to notice someone move in the background. 'We have another spectator?' Glash wondered, trying to get a better view of whoever was sneaking by. 'No, it seems to be someone aware of us. Confirmed to not be a threat at this point since they were eager to maintain distance.' Suddenly, an announcement came marking the end of the tourney fights; it would no be time for everyone to reassemble in front of the captain. 'Time to move.' Glash stated, zipping out of the spectator area past a startled Reign. Meanwhile, Fjord also heard the announcement and wobbled to his feet. "B-better hope I don't get placed poorly, haha!" He proclaimed in an inebriated stupor. He wasn't overly drunk that he couldn't maintain a sober appearance, but Fjord's balance and walking are certainly affected, made accurate by his near trip over a small rock.

Nikki cleared her throat having prepared the squad assignments already, "Ahem, so the following squads are as follows;

Kaito was meditating when he got the news that he was in Delta Squad. He was happy with the decision. He wanted to be in the lower squad anyway. They said to go about their business so meditating was what he continued to do. It wasn't like there were any boys around right now to flirt with instead. Meditating was peaceful anyway. It made all his problems disappear and he had a lot of them so meditating on a daily basis was a good thing for him to do.

Immediately after Calloway spoke up. "Capitan!" He called out chasing after the child a little before coming up near her. "Mam I do believe I have been miss placed." He said to her as he brought his hands behind his back. "I believe I wasn't given an adiquate evaluation of my skills and abilities." He told her hopping she would reconsider her choice of squad for him. He honestly knew he was more qualified for a higher squad than the battle had shown and wanted to prove it to her if she did not agree or tried to argue that he was wrong

Nikki stopped and looked at Calloway, he was tall she looked like a begging child when looking up at him, "All decisions are final, You've been placed in Charlie squad so that's where you'll be." She turned and walked away again.

The captain looked at Calloway, "Listen, man.. thing.. robot.. whatever you are. Nikki makes her choices seemingly pointlessly, but in my years of knowing her, she always has a method to her madness. Maybe she has a reason for you in Charlie, maybe not. I don't know. Just don't argue it, please." He said before following Nikki

"But this test was not an adiquate show of skill. I do not mean to be rude or blunt but my opponent collapsed before any of the real fighting even began. I can't even consider it a true fight or a sparing for that matter. I wish to be reevaluated for an upper squad. Frankly it was not a fair fight in the first place, she only had an 18% chance of success by my calculations and those numbers quickly dropped after I made contact to her shoulder, I didn't even use 30% of power at my disposal mam..... I wish to be reevaluated." Calloway insisted still dispite the mans words. In his eyes her "madness" as the man called it was inacurate and by his logic unfair to those that might have used little of there power in the tornaments as well and he wanted to be reevaluated for a higher squad. It had always been a problem with Calloway, the way he was programmed leaving little to no room for situations like this to be let go and listened to. He simply did not agree with his placement.

Adelina nodded at the results, satisfied with what she got. Charlie seemed to be where all of the winner were placed, though she didn't understand the ranking system all too much. Adelina made way to Glash, extending their hand towards them. "We had a good fight. I'm sorry for overreacting at the end. Nice tactic." Addie smiled at Glash, tapping her fingers on her thigh.

Fjord was happy at the fact he and Glash were placed in the same squad. "Making sure he stays out of trouble will be easy still, phew." The dwarf said with a sigh. But, to be honest, Fjord was surprised so many were placed in the same squad; some of those fights seemed to have very powerful contenders, and he was certain a lot of them were unable to use their full powers. "Maybe it's more a case of keeping all the strong ones together to easily keep track of them? Then why am I here?" He joked about himself.

Glash had remained in one area after the placement announcement; they couldn't care less about what squad they were placed in. This made evident by the feelings of disgust the swarm felt at hearing Calloway try to argue with Nikki and the Captain about his placement in Charlie squad. 'If that's the kind of thing that worries such a being, he's no different than every other one we've come across... Well, not every one.' That last part being suddenly added without the consent of the whole swarm.

Adelina then came up to Glash, while the swarm continued to enjoy the show of a very annoyed Calloway. "We had a good fight." She told them. "Yes, it was indeed a good way to test our capabilities. Though, just like that angry behemoth over there," Glash gestured toward Calloway. "We were hindered with the rule of not being able to kill; had that rule not existed....we would certainly not be having this conversation." From afar, Glash could see Fjord looking at them with disdain. "Uh, sorry for being so blunt, and sorry for breaking.....whatever it is your species has in their bodies. We had nothing against you personally, although it probably seemed like that...." The swarm apologized, some of them being actually sincere.

Oh, I was supposed to be over there? Oohps... Reign heard the assignments being called out, but couldn't fully make out what her assignment was. All she knew was it wasn't the first group. It would have been a good idea to immediately dash into the group, but with that thing in the throng of people, she preferred to stay away. Finally, the insect infested shell moved a bit away from the cluster of people to just near some individuals, and Reign singled out a person that she felt she would get along with. Although, they were in a group, so it might be a bit awkward...

Reign checked to make sure she had slipped the carbon back into her backpack before speaking, not really wishing to flaunt her ability. Before, she had been alone and where nobody else paid much attention, but this was different. "Hi there!" Reign approached the group of three, waving. Whew, one of the beauties is here~ She noticed the only girl in the group was one of the ones she took note of earlier, but other things had to be taken care of before she started childishly pursuing things she'd likely never get. "My name is Reign. I wasn't able to hear what squad I was assigned or what we're supposed to do, would you mind telling me?"
