Brody followed quietly. He felt broken. Wasn't he supposed to protect her? To take care of her? He looked at Jaz, feeling worthless. "Do you love me?" He asked quietly, afraid to hear her answer, afraid it would be no. How could she love him? He had done so much wrong. He had hurt her so bad. "Nevermind," he spoke quickly, not wanting to hear the answer as he helped her pack a few things. "I'm not important right now," he muttered, more to himself, taking a mental list of everything they gathered together. @BasicallyMe

Jasmine turns to Brody and grabs his arm hard. "There's alot going on right now, ok? I do have feelings for you Brody. I wouldn't be so upset if I didn't, but right now I'm filled to the top with stress and I know you are also. It's just hard." Jaz could feel the familiar lump forming in her throat. She continues packing everything then looks up to his eyes. "I'm trying."

"I know. I'm sorry," he said. "I just, I wanna help you but I don't know what to do and that's what's stressing me out." He picks up the bag once their finished packing. "But for now let's just focus on our baby girl, and how happy she's going to be with us," he smiled weakly, hoping to cheer her up. "And this is just a simple thing, right? Just an overnight thing? I'll be your humble slave for the night, Miss," he knew it was lame, but at least it was a start at... something. @BasicallyMe

Shane laid back down, holding her as she laid her head on his neck. Hewas still having trouble believing that he had done with her but he just brushed it off as he gave her a kiss. "Don't leave me ever, okay?" He said to her. He didn't want her to leave him ever and he would be lost if she did. @McMajestic

"Never," Mari promised, kissing his cheek. A thought dragged itself through her mind as she laid there, and suddenly she felt bad, pressed up against him. "I'm sorry," she mumbled. "You said you wanted to wait until after our first date, and I..." Mari took a shuddery breath. "I'm sorry." Mari began to sit up, feeling cold without him against her. @IIIREXIIIARCHERIIIII

Jasmine watches as he picks up the bag and shrugs, "I didn't get much information before I told the doctor I didn't know." She opens the door to leave her dorm and walks out. They were going to have to walk there, which was fine with her, so she continued on her way. Jaz eventually stopped to take rests and breaks until they finally reached the place. "Ah, Ms. Jasmine. I see you decided to get the surgery." Her doctor smiles and walks up to them. "Your same room is prepped and ready. Your surgery is scheduled in an hour. We'll be up to get you then."


Jasmine nods and leads Brody to the previous room she had stayed in.

Shane opened his mouth to say something before he busted out laughing. Seriously? Was that all she was worried about? He shook his head before pulling her back down so her head was on his chest. "Who the fuck cares about that? I said we should not that we have to wait." He explained before kissing her forehead. "I'm happy it happened today." @McMajestic

Brody watched every move Jasmine made with caution, ready to catch her if she fell. When they got to her room he set her stuff down, walking over to her and resting his hands on her shoulders, letting them slide down her arms as he took her in. He smiled at her, kissing her forehead. "I'll be waiting for you with chocolate," he added, knowing how much she liked it. "Do you remember what surgery they're doing?" He asked casually, trying to keep his smile up, though he was wary. @BasicallyMe


Mari smiled despite her slight irritation at the way he laughed at her. She guessed humility was something she needed to get used to, and considering how big her ego was she probably needed it every now and then. "Me too." She kissed him again, unable to keep herself at bay. "You're my amazing Prince Charming. I can't find a single flaw," she told him honestly, even knowing everything she did. @IIIREXIIIARCHERIIIII

Jasmine rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes, "No, I just want to get it over with." She lays down in the bed after changing into the dreaded hospital gown. "Lay down with me." Jasmine scoots over for him to have room. She just wanted yo hold him for once. It hadn't been long but it feels like forever since they had any consentual affection. She winces in pain for a second then stops as it goes away.

Brody ever so carefully crawled in next to her, wrapping his arms around her waist gently and holding her against him. "If it hurts, let me know," he whispered, resting his forehead against her. He leaned closer, hesitating for a moment, before pressing his lips against hers in a tender kiss, missing the taste of her lips. He prayed he wasn't overstepping, but it was just an innocent kiss, just to hold him over until they sorted out whatever was wrong with them, whatever needed to be fixed. @BasicallyMe

An hour later the doctors and surgeons walked in to take her. "We're going to inject you with fetal friendly juice that will calm your nerves, then we'll bring you to the back and give you anesthesia." The doctor turns his attention to Brody. "If you plan on following us back you can only go so far." He smiles reassuringly which is something he didn't do often. A nurse comes over and injects the shot into Jasmine. It quickly started acting, making her feel tired and loopy.


"Ok, let's go on back." The doctor lead his way through thenhalls of the hospital while surgeons pushed the bed. "And here is where we stop for your good byes."

Brody smiled, despite his hatred towards the wording the doctor used, taking Jaz's hand and kissing the back of it. "I love you," he whispered, although he didn't even know if she'd remember anything he said. "I'll see you in a couple hours." Brody looked Jaz over once, to make sure she was there and okay even though he knew she was, before letting the doctors whisk her off.


After she was out of sight Brody walked back to the room, just to make sure he got the number right, before leaving to go pick up some stuff he thought Jazz would appreciate once she was out. He brought a couple photos from the beach, some candy, and some Chinese food back with him, before sitting in a chair in the room and kicking his feet up on another one, snacking on some of the food as the minutes ticked by. He hoped everything was going okay. @BasicallyMe


(I'm probably going to have super slow replies because I got AP homework to cry over. And The Flash is on tonight so I gotta get this stuff done lol xD )

The doctor walks into Jasmine's room to inform Brody on some information. "Hello sir, I'm Jasmine's doctor from earlier as you know, and I came to catch you up. Jasmine hasn't been doing well. She coded a few times and the fetus went into distress. Our first option was to have her give an early birth, but the fetus' lungs aren't developed fully, so we did our best to stabalize them instead. The baby is now in her uterus and Jasmine should be coming out of surgery. She will have to stay tonight in case of complications." He holds his hand out to shake Brody's, "congrats on your future daughter. She already looks beautiful."

Brody smiled at the doctor, although he felt an immediate spike of fear as he shook his hand. "Thanks," he sat back down after the doctor left, becoming dead weight in his chair. So many problems, so early? Is our baby going to be okay? He sighed deeply, trying to push his fears away. The thought of losing his own child, before she even got to breathe her first breath, it made him feel weak. You're supposed to protect them. He scolded himself, looking down at his shoes. @BasicallyMe

Jasmine was wheeled back into her room in less than 30 minutes. She was still groggy and aggravated.


"Anesthesia makes patients agitated. Just try not to bother her too much about anything serious right now." The doctor fastens her bed and leaves the two alone.

Shane gave her a kiss on her the forehead. He became happy when she said that but frowned when she said he didn't have any flaws. "We all got our own flaws my evil maiden." He gave her another kiss passionately, while smiling. "I just don't like showing it at times." @McMajestic

Brody moved his chair next to her bed, grinning as he looked at her. He rested his arms on the bed, watching her for a moment. "So, how are you feeling, Love?" he asked, knowing she was loopy and not wanting to ask any serious questions. He took her hand, cupping it in both of his, glad she looked relatively okay despite all the problems she had apparently had. @BasicallyMe


Mari nodded against him, "but you're still perfect to me," she sat up slowly, not wanting to leave his side. "I need to take a shower," she mumbled, falling back down against him with all her weight. "Oh the agony! Why must I be cursed to have to walk all the way to the bathroom by myself?" She called over dramatically, closing her eyes and resting her hand over her heart before glancing at Shane pointedly. "If only I had some sort of transportation," @IIIREXIIIARCHERIIIII

Jasmine kept her eyes closed, but turned her head to Brody as if she were looking at him. "I had Rose? Did I give birth?" She reaches down to her now medium sized bump and rubs it. "Do I look fat? Are you going to still love a fat woman?" Jasmine groans then sits up in lightning speed and throws up in her bucket. "Ew." Her eyes were now open and staring in the bucket with a disgusted look.

Shane laughed at her before kissing her again. "I guess I can help out with that." He responded. He really didn't feel like getting up at all but he guessed that he could take one now. @McMajestic

Brody cringed, making sure to look away until she was done. The last thing he needed to do was puke too. "Of course I'll still love you. I don't love you because you're hot, that's just an added bonus," he winked, trying to keep up his charm despite the pitiful situation they were in at the moment. @BasicallyMe


She grinned, resting next to him. "I just wanna lay here for the rest of the day," she admitted, "but I also wanna take this hot boyfriend I have on a date, since we haven't been on a proper one yet," she smiled, winking at him. @IIIREXIIIARCHERIIIII

Jasmine giggles and falls back onto the bed after setting the bucket away from her. "I want to go home Brody, now." She looks at the tape and begins to pick it off. After a few seconds of trying, she gives up and lays her head back bored. The anesthesia aftermath was beginning to wear off. "Is she ok? Is the baby ok?"

"She's fine," he assured, pressing his lips against her forehead and lingering there for a moment. "And you have to spend the night. I don't know if you'll be able to keep it down, but I brought you some Chinese food and some chocolate candy. So whenever you want it, let me know." He sat down on the bed instead, closer to the foot of it, and sat with his legs crossed, resting his hand just above her knee. It was comforting for him, to be able to feel her there. @BasicallyMe

Jasmine scoots as close as she can to him and closes her eyes. "I'm tired." Her arms wrap around him and pulls Brody down to the bed. "Can I eat the goodies tomorrow? Chinese and chocolate makes the best breakfast right?" Jaz puts her face into his neck and kisses him.

Brody nodded, glad that they were slowly moving back to normal. "Just sleep now. I'm going to stay with you. I'll keep you warm and safe," he promised, pulling an extra blanket over both of them before wrapping his arms around Jaz's waist, and snuggling up against her. Brody felt his phone vibrate in his pocket, but left it alone, not caring who would call him at this moment. All that mattered was Jaz. @BasicallyMe

Shane looked at her with a raised eyebrow, before shrugging. "I don't really mind just staying here, we could just go out tomorrow afternoon." He commented. He just didn't feel like going out, just staying with Mari, that's what mattered to him. @McMajestic
