Yes the alpha of Boreal can be female and her mate male.

As for there being a reason for the alpha being in hiding/missing currently from Boreal pack, I don't really have a current reason. It could be the alpha is investigating something that the other pair of alphas don't know or that she was taken by someone and is just coming back. That can be up to the creator of her to decide. Galaxy

I have an idea for a character for the Boreal alpha, that I will try and give. However, if someone wants the Boreal Alpha, I don't mind, so you can keep the role open until (if at all) I give a character bio.

He is welcome to try to escape, however it is possible he will be caught. This can be left up to you. Usually friends or relatives of the packs manage the slave auctions, sometimes rogue vampires and werewolves will manage them so you gotta be careful as if one of them gets after you, your chances of being injured and/or killed are high.

Lenny2000 if scythia does escape, he can hide in the forests or accidentally find Tyress's cabin in the forests.(These are only my suggestions though, there are also other options in Ithawell too, I think. Also this is if you need an interaction, which you can also get from the other characters in the city.)
If you have something else in mind, I have no problem with that either, I'm sure there are loads of other possibilities.
