And if you are still accepting, You mentioned using NATO rifle calibers in rifles, is that strict or will other common cartridges work as well? (I.E. 9mm, .45, 7.62x54)
And are the characters Mercenaries, Soldiers, or a mix of both? Just in general

And the other common cartridges will work as well. It's a mostly equal mix of 9mm and .45 for the sidearms, and the 7.62x54s, the unit gets from enemy weapon caches.

And the characters are Soldiers, though there are a few Mercenary units also staying at the city.

Sorry for two posts but I totally just realized that this might not be placed in a world where current day countries exist, I just saw others referencing that and went with it. If this is an issue I will happily correct

So.... how long should we stay outside the city before the Femosians begin bringing in the heavier stuff? We did cut off a sizeable amount of their forces within 1 hour of combat.
Also, questions on our comms, since I didn't catch the specifics, are we cut off from our main army in terms of communication? Are or we still able to reach out for reinforcements and auxiliary supports?

Right now, the Femosi are actually doing an encirclement maneuver on YOU. Infantry (still unreported, so you still don't know this yet) are moving through the Northwest and Northeast COPs, to encircle your COP, and one infantry platoon has made it all the way to the FOB, and are firing on me. They're gearing up for a second attack, with mortars trained on your position. You'll know when to retreat.

As for comms, we're cut off from our main army, but short range comms still works. The FOB can reach you, and vice versa. We also have a small Firebase, with a trio of 105mm howitzers barely in range.

Alrighty. Sounds good. Urban combat is gonna be intense with bricks and stones flying everywhere. Low ammo RP session is gonna put some extra interactions between the characters. Can't wait!

I'm low on ideas for rural-fighting. So I'll just wait until something happens to my character or something.

My character can do both, but is more suited for urban fighting unless she gets some new equipment to aid. The siege is where the real fun begins
