Time to rev up those engines and drive around town. Or whatever it is you tend to do for fun. Maybe something will hit your mind. Usually works for me when I get writer's block.

Getting creatively invested in something completely different tends to help refresh the creativity fuel for the original thing. Sometimes you even gain some new perspective to write witb

I agree. You get the most interesting ideas and concepts from the weirdest thing. Especially when its unrelated to the subject that you're writing on. Kinda prompt that spontaneous creativity of "what if I incorporate these ideas from a modern setting into this fantasy setting instead?"

When it comes to writer's block, for me personally, I find it's best to try and sit down and write something anyway. Anything. No matter how bad it is, it's a start and it can always be scrapped or heavily edited later. The important thing is forcing myself to go through the motions of putting words on paper, because I find the longer I put it off, the harder it becomes to make myself do it when I really need to.
