"I'm fine with that," Kesuk grinned at Shila, giving a thumbs up. He didn't mind. After all, he loved waterbending. How hard could it be? Sure, he had to do it consistently for two whole hours, but he knew he was a young, strong, growing boy and it would no doubt help his endurance. He smirked at the others.

"So... does that mean we only get two hours of sleep at a time?" he joked. He knew the answer. Min had even distinctly said they were going to drop the anchor at sunset. Regardless, though, he still wondered about night shifts. In theory, the idea would be pointless, but with that... thing... out there, he wasn't feeling too confident about sleeping.

Lyce shoots up from his knees and runs over to the group of people,

"What happened here?! What happened to the people?! What happened to the building?! THE FOOD?!" Lyce was really upset over the fact that he walked all the way out here for nothing.

Min Ra had an answer prepared.

"Anyone who seriously suggests that will walk the plank."

"What happened here?!" said a voice, and Amita whirled. She thought it was a villager who had decided it was them who had practically destroyed the village. "What happened to the people?! What happened to the buildings?! The food?!" A person ran over to them, and at first, Amita thought it was a girl.

"Um, hello there!" the airbender greeted, with a small bow of the head. "This may sound kind of crazy, but a giant earth creature that may or may not have been a spirit kind of attacked and destroyed the town, before we all stopped it and it... um, went away." Wow, because that didn't sound suspicious at all. "My name's Amita; what's yours?" It never hurt to be friendly, she supposed.

"Anyone who seriously suggests that will walk the plank." Min stated. It didn't look like she was joking, either. Kesuk chuckled awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his head, grinning sheepishly. "Yeah, okay." he squeaked, before looking around at her, Shila, ans Sesi. "So... when do the shifts begin, anyway?" he asked.

Not that he was particularly eager to start working or anything, but he was tired of standing around just talking. He knew full well he'd get tired of waterbending for two hours much quicker, not to mention lonely. He sighed and crossed his arms, turning his head so he could get a good look at the ocean. Shila was right-- it was beautiful.

Lyce stopped for a moment before throwing his hands up in the air,

"I ALWAYS HAVE TO HAVE THE WORST OF-" When he throws his hands up, he sends a giant pillar through some of the rubble. Lyce notices some green balls that shoot up into the air,

"
THE CABBAGES!" He yells as all he can do is watch them break apart in midair and fall to the earth with the rest of the rubble that was sent shooting into the air,

"
....I'm Lyce...." He says as he turns around with a disappointed look on his face.
(That sweet reference.)

"They begin right now. I have an hourglass up at the stern, so we can use that for the measure."

Shila wondered: "Why do you have a hourglass?"

Min Ra answered: "It's used for measuring knots per hour."

[ @Stew Dude. Calm down. I've been really busy today with school and haven't been on; the roleplay's not gonna die as far as I know. So stop freaking out. ]

The person threw their hands up in the air, shouting, "I always have to have the worst of--" At the exuberant gesture, a pillar of rock sprang up behind the pair, sending several green spheres skyrocketing. "The cabbages!" the stranger cried, and it was then Amita realized they were, indeed, cabbages.

Turning back to the girl with a disappointed frown, the person muttered, "...I'm Lyce..." Amita offered a friendly smile. "My name's Amita; it's nice to meet you, Lyce!" She glanced at the rock pillar. "So, you're an earthbender?" she asked, before pointing at herself. "I'm an airbender, but you could probably already tell from my clothes," she shrugged sheepishly.

"They begin right now," Min said, and Kesuk gulped. "I have an hourglass up at the stern, so we can use that for measure." Kesuk squinted at where it would be. "Cool!" he grinned, before Shila turned to the firebender. "Why do you have a hourglass?" the young girl asked, and Min smiled warmly, seeming happy to answer.

"It's used for measuring knots per hour." the girl explained, and Kesuk nodded. "Knots measure distance, right?" He shrugged. "I don't really remember; I read about ships and things a long time ago. For all I know, I could be totally wrong." He grinned awkwardly and offered a chuckle, looking from girl to girl.

"I'd hate to break this but I really need to get to Ba Sing Se as quickly as possible." K sudden spoke up as she shifted uncomfortably. The blindfold was getting itchy.

(Sorry, I've been in too many RPs that've died, I'm just impatient, sorry.)

Lyce sighs,

"Yes, I'm an Earthbender." His stomach grumbles loudly, that loaf of bread was his last smidget of food and he was trying to spread out his rations,

"
D-Do you have any food by chance?" Lyce felt embarrassed with the question to which he acts accordingly and blushes.

"Yes. Knots are the units of speed on board a ship. Now, we have a ship to sail, let's jump to it!"

Min walked back to the wheel. Shila and Sesi sat down on board the deck and started talking about the northern water tribe.

[by the way, Sesi's player said that someone else could control Sesi for a bit as she would be at work.]

Sesi smiled as she sat next to Shila. "Have you ever been to the Northern Tribe Shila?" she asked not really knowing how to start the conversation. "If not that should be one of the stops on this grand adventure," she giggled.

((I'm back sorry been a busy week))

[Welcome back.]

Shila shook her head. "No, I haven't," she said, "but I hear it's pretty cool. People say it's much bigger than the southern tribe, and has more waterbending masters. It'll definitely be a stop on this voyage."

[ Lol it's cool; I get it ;) ]

"Yes, I'm an Earthbender," Lyce sighed, and Amita smiled, a bit unsure of what else to say next. A rather loud rumble from her new friend's stomach shook her from her thoughts. "D-Do you have any food, by chance?" Lyce asked sheepishly, and the airbender's eyes widened. "O-oh! Yeah, of course! I'm sorry; you must be really hungry!"

Amita beckoned for the earthbender to follow, "We have some fruit back where near Kala is. She's my sky bison." She glanced at K. "You can come too, Lu; you've got to be at least a little bit hungry as well." As they headed back to her furry friend, Amita caught sight of Milus and waved. She knew he wouldn't be happy about more newcomers, but what could she do?

///

"Yes," Min nodded, and Kesuk brightened visibly. He loved it when he was right, not that he'd ever admit to it. "Knots are the units of speed on board a ship. Now, we have a ship to sail, let's jump to it!" The boy saluted jokingly before heading to his post. He passed Shila and Sesi on the way, and waved, grinning.

Kesuk took his stance and then a deep breath, closing his eyes to calm himself. If he was going to waterbend for two hours straight, he figured he should prepare a little first. "Okay," the boy mumbled to himself, opening his eyes and facing the ocean, "let's do it." He thrust his hands forward, sending small waves to push the ship forward. They'd grow bigger in time, but he was determined to pace himself.

[Probably a smart idea.]

Sesi gave Shila a small smile and nodded "It is a large tribe but I am unsure of size comparison to the south as I have never been," she mused. "As for there being more waterbending masters I know, but Shila the won't teach females how to fight, only to heal," she told the young waterbender.

((sorry had to put it in there))

"Really? They teach people how to heal?"

Shila was happy with her ability to fight/do whatever ordinary tasks waterbenders could do. She, however, had absolutely no idea how to heal with waterbending.
Sesi nodded, "Yes," she said with a smile.
(Sorry for the one liner I'm stuck)
"Neat. I can always self-teach fighting, but I have no idea where to start on healing."

Lyce walks behind the girl,

"Just so things aren't awkward later on, I'm not a girl, most people seem to think I am." He rubs the back of his head,

"
I know this is kind of a weird question, but do you mind if I tag along with your group? I'm a so-called 'vagabond' I travel around places for no real reason." He shrugs.

Lyce followed dutifully; Amita could hear the voice behind her. "Just so things aren't awkward later on, I'm not a girl. Most people seem to think I am." The airbender let out a relieved sigh internally. She had been wondering about that, but darn was it awkward to ask. She nodded her head understandingly.

"I know this is kind of a weird question," the boy (which was now confirmed) added, seemingly a tad nervous, "but do you mind if I tag along with your group?" Amita cringed in her head. "I'm a so-called 'vagabond'; I travel around places for no real reason." "Um, we'll have to ask the others," she replied finally, trying to avoid answering.

Lyce sighs, knowing it's a lost cause,

"It's ok if I can't, I'd just like to stick around somewhere. Lately I've been feeling like I have no meaning, it's really bumming me out." He shakes his head,

"
Anyways, you have a flying bison? It's been quite some time since I've seen one of those!" He says in a total shift of of mood, he was sad one second but then happy and bouncy the next.

"It's okay if I can't," Lyce sighed, and Amita felt bad. "I'd just like to stick around somewhere. Lately, I've been feeling like I have no meaning; it's really bumming me out." The girl whirled around, a worried expression on her face, but the boy simply shook his head. "Anyways," he said, and Amita couldn't help but frown.

"You have a flying bison? It's been quite some time since I've seen one of those!" His demeanor changed almost instantly, and Amita smiled involuntarily. She nodded, "Mhmm-hmm! Her name is Kala, and I'm sure she'll like you!" The girl almost bounced as she walked, though she was still anxious to see what Milus would say.
