Mei Yun followed close behind Amita. The quicker they could get to this guy, the better. As she surfed along, she felt a strange sort of pulling on the earth like a tide receding from shore. "That's proooobably not good..." She said loudly as the pull became stronger as they went

(Very sorry it its short DX)

K followed them but tripped because of a small rock. "Ow!" She muttered as she slowly tried to pull herself up. 'Stupid blindfold! Why did I ever decide that my cover would be a blind courier?' she thought as she tried to keep up with them.

(( @Syfyre Kind of; it's sort of like a jinn, I guess... I'm still kind of working it out... And I would say the candidates don't vote. So if you don't vote, I won't. Idk. =P ))

"Milus!" Amita cried, shielding herself from the spray of earth by creating a barrier of air above her and the man. She wasn't sure what else to say, so all she could do was call out his name. "Milus!" she repeated, grabbing his arm with her free hand. "We have to get away from it!" The creature suddenly used the momentum from its spinning and shot up into the air.

"Look out!" Amita cried, mainly for Rav and Mei's sake, before pulling Milus back and away. The earth creature plummeted back down to earth, but before it hit the ground, a large sinkhole opened from nowhere and the thing fell into it. The hole immediately covered itself up, and it seemed as though the thing was gone for good.

Amita opened her eyes slowly, and blinked a few times. The dust in the air made her eyes water, and so she blew it away from her and Milus' face. "Rav?" she muttered, wiping her eyes, which only succeeded in getting her face dirtier than it previously had been. "Are you guys okay?" she mumbled, squinting.

Kesuk gazed at the object nestled in Min Ra's hands. "What's inside the box?" he asked, curiously reaching out a finger to poke it. He wondered if it was a note, or a map, or instructions, or jewelry, or gold, or anything, really. He turned to Shila. "Well, I guess we really have no other choice than to continue our original plan, huh?"

He grinned at Sesi and Min. "Going on this ship sounds like a great idea! Plus then we don't have to just leave it out in the ocean..." he trailed, pondering for a moment. "So!" he brightened, looking around at the three girls (which made him now realize he was the only boy here). "Where are we heading to first?"

He then frowned. "Hopefully we don't run into that weird water creature again... seriously, what was that thing?" He shook his head. "I've never heard of anything like it before. Except for maybe a spirit... I don't know if it was a spirit, though." He shrugged nonchalantly. "Maybe we can look for someone who can tell us!" he suggested.

(( Sorry for all the absence; I was at school today (first day and all... ugh) =P ))

(I miss going to school... I should sneak in tomorrow xD )

"Oh sweet mother of-" Mei created a shield of earth that she hoped was large enough to shield not only herself, but the others from the debris as well, but when she looked back and saw the others covered in dirt, she knew she was probably a little too late. Chuckling nervously, she rubbed the back of her head, "Well... We're alive. Which is always a good thing" she said trying to look on the bright side as she bended the little bit of dust she acquired, off of herself

(Gotcha, sounds cool. That works for me! Good luck in the voting!)

Milus felt himself being pulled away from the strange earth creature and didn't fight it. As the earth monster shot up into the air the man turned and ran with Amita, not wanting to be anywhere near when it landed. He braced himself for the impact as the giant came down... but nothing came. The man looked back but saw no sign of the monster; it was as if the earth had swallowed it up (which, I suppose it had). Milus nodded as Amita asked if everyone was okay, his sword held at his side, point down. "What the hell was that thing?" He wondered aloud, not sure that anyone could answer him.

Rav'n lunged forward as the monster fell, his hand reaching for his friends. "Milus! Amita!" He yelled, trying in vain to warn them. If that thing landed... But the monster simply vanished into the ground. The boy let out his breath after a moment, surprised that he'd been holding it. "Yeah, alive is good." He said, grinning at Mei. "But that was too close. Are you two alright?" The boy asked Milus and Amita, taking a tentative step forward. Even if the coast seemed clear, it was odd that the creature would just up and leave.

Shila said: "Well, if we're going by our original plan, we go to the Fire Temple first. Min, you know where that is, right?"

Min Ra nodded.

Shila said: "Then you're navigator for this voyage."

Sesi nodded "Alright, I just need to let my uncle know that I will no longer be traveling with him" she told the others as she glanced back at the other ship."Well, if we're going by our original plan, we go to the Fire Temple first. Min, you know where that is, right?" She heard the female water bender say. At the mention of going to the Fire Temple her excitement grew, it would be a chance to really have a chance to learn about her true culture. "On second thought I'm sure my uncle will figure it out," she laughed.

(( @Syfyre Thanks! You too! =D ))

"Well..." Mei sighed, bending the dust off of herself. "We're alive, which is always a good thing." "Yeah," Rav agreed, grinning at the earthbender. "Alive is good." He then turned to face Amita and Milus. "But that was too close. Are you two alright?" Amita nodded. "Yeah, I'm okay... just a little dusty." She smiled and began to dust herself off.

"Is it gone, do you think?" the girl wondered aloud, glancing around for any clue to its disappearance. "Like, for good. You don't think it'll come back, do you?" She glanced from Rav to Milus, then to Mei. "And where's Ila? Is she still with Lu? Are they safe?" Amita questioned worriedly, looking around for any sight of them.

She didn't mean to ask so many questions, (Ila was beginning to rub off on her, she guessed,) but she was very much flustered after the whole earth-monster-tried-to-destroy-the-town-and-also-tried-to-kill-half-of-her-friends thing. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, trying to use the calming techniques she had learned when she was a little girl.

"Alright," Sesi said, "I just need to let my uncle know that I will no longer be traveling with him." Meanwhile, Shila looked at her friend. "Well, if we're going by our original plan, we go to the Fire Temple first. Min, you know where that is, right?" Min nodded, and Kesuk grinned. Sesi seemed pleased as well.

"Then you're navigator for this voyage." Shila declared, and Kesuk figured that was probably the best decision. "On second thought I'm sure my uncle will figure it out," Sesi laughed. "So!" Kesuk beamed excitedly. "How far away is that place, anyway? You think we'll run into that water thing again?"

He looked again at the box in Min Ra's hands. "Seriously, what's in that thing?" the waterbender asked, silently pleading with her to open it. He was extremely curious about what was inside, and he knew if she didn't open it soon he was going to end up grabbing it from her hands and opening it himself, much to his own embarrassment.

"I think we might be good." Rav'n said, looking around at the ground. "But then again, I've never seen anything like that." He glanced up at Amita as she worried over Ila and Lu, barely hiding a smile. "I'm sure they're fine! We can always go check though."

Milus lifted his sword and sheathed it slowly, still watching where the creature was only moments before. A rogue spirit?, he wondered. In all of his travels, Milus had never seen anything like it. Naturally, he'd heard stories -legends, mostly- of their wrath. Never once had it occurred to him it could be real.

Shaking his head, the man regarded the ruined buildings nearby. "Someone's going to be pretty upset about all of this." He said nonchalantly.

Rav'n cocked his head at his friend. "Hope they won't blame it on us." The airbender said, smirking.

(Sorry, passing out. Will be back on tomorrow!)

"Great!" Min Ra grinned. "Let's get going. Oh, and, my young student, I have something for you, for your training."

Min presented Sesi with the mysterious box.

"There's a fire-lock on that thing, a continuous stream of intense enough fire should be enough to unlock it. It'll test both your power and precision in firebending. And then, we can peek at whatever's inside!"

"I think we might be good." Rav said, "But then again, I've never seen anything like that." He was looking at the ground, but as he heard Amita's worrying (which she to say the least was embarrassed about), he looked up at her, a faint smile playing on his lips. "I'm sure they're fine! We can always go check though."

Amita nodded. The boy was right. Ila was probably with Kazu, Lew, Agito, and Raiko... and Lu... and that other girl whose name she hadn't caught during the excitement. "Sorry," she blushed, staring down awkwardly at her shuffling feet. She looked up when she heard Milus' voice. "Someone's going to be pretty upset about all of this." he said.

Rav smirked. "Hope they won't blame it on us," he joked. Amita hid a smile. "I think we're safe there, seeing as no one else is here. The people must have run off whenever they saw it coming." She glanced around, though she knew it was pointless. "Should we look for survivors anyway?" she asked. There was still hope someone was here.

Sesi held the box Min Ra had given her in complete curiosity. 'A fire-lock' she thought. She set the box in front of her and began analyzing it from all sides. "Just letting you know the only stances I know are basic waterbending ones," she told Min as she dropped into on of said stances and pushed her hand forward and only managed to produce a small puff of smoke. She gave off a nervous laugh and rubbed her neck. "Well that was embarrassing, a firebender that can't firebend. Yup that's what I am," she joked lamely.

"You are a girl without much training. Agni knows, I was horrible enough when I started out."

Min declined to mention that she'd been four at the time. She'd had a better environment to grow up in.

Mei stayed very silent as she slipped off into the village. Forget finding other people, she had to get her loot. She came across the broken down ruins of the inn she stored it in. "Aw....aw dangit!" She centered herself and bendt each stone and pillar out of the way until she found the inn keeper. Further down the lines she uncovered a guy hugging on her other bag of loot for dear life. Mei Yun crossed her arms and tapped her foot, "Give-" the guy took off. She sighed and gently slid her foot in his way causing him to trip and the contents of her bag to fly out. She let out a deeper sigh as she quickly went to pick it up and add it to her other bag. Once that was over with, she grabbed a handful of the gold and jewels within and handed it to the inn keeper after she helped her out of the rubble, "Sorry about your place..." She said to her

Milus's eyes combed the immediate rubble, looking for any sign of people. Finding none, he turned back to Amita. "We could. It'll mean a lot of extra work for us." He said simply. "I didn't see any coming in." The man added, shifting his weight and crossing his arms. He was itching to leave the town behind before someone tried to pin the blame on them. It always seemed to happen whenever Rav'n was involved...

Rav'n glanced at Amita. "We probably should, but I didn't see anyone either. Maybe they all got out in time?" He spoke hopefully, a little afraid that if he did find someone, they wouldn't be in great shape. He pushed the thought from his head with some effort. Entertaining it would only bring back the queasy feeling in his stomach. Turning to Mei, the boy smiled easily. "Think you could give us a hand? Some earth bending might make quick work of our search." He suggested, hoping that the girl would be willing to help.

Mei had rejoined the group as silently as she had snuck away from it. "Think you could give us a hand?" Mei pointed at herself, "Some earth bending might make quick work of our search". She looked back at the town and then at Rav'n, "Yeah I see why not" she replied with a shrug as she put down her bags, rolled up her sleeves and turned towards the village once more, "You just point out the where and I'll handle the how" she considered throwing in a snarky comment on top of it, but she decided not to

Sesi laughed nervously ans smiles a bit crookedly "Yeah, the only bit of training I have ever had is using some stances that I have learned from watching waterbenders," she stated "I know one that might work though" she said as she used another stance she had learned from her brother to form a whip. She inhaled then slowly exhaled while going through the motions and this time was able to produce a flame whip but only for a split second. "Well that was better" she smiled at her little victory.

Rav'n grinned, already liking Mei's attitude. "Alright, in that case, me and Amita can check for anyone from the air." The boy replied, turning to wink at Amita. It sure was nice having another airbender around. "If you're up for it, that is. You could alway check on Lu, Ila, and the others." With that said, the boy leapt into the air, continually bending himself to keep aloft while scanning the edges of buildings and looking in broken windows and doors. No one so far, the boy thought, slowly cheering up. Maybe they had all escaped in time.

Milus stretched, regarding the spot where the earth creature (spirit?) disappeared once more. Curious, that it came and went so suddenly. The man let out an audible huff of breath, looking back the way that they came. "I'll try to find Kala." He said after a moment of silent thought. "Maybe our hot-headed bender made his way back to her." He chuckled dryly at his comment about Agito, thinking, I'll just slow things down here anyways.

The man trudged away slowly with the impression that they were spread thin, running all over the place; in truth they were, but why would it matter? The monster had gone, hadn't it? A nagging at the edge of his mind distracted Milus, like something had been set in motion. He sighed again and suppressed the thought. Only time would tell.

Amita nodded, smiling at both Mei and Rav. He winked and she blushed involuntarily. "Sounds good to me!" she grinned awkwardly, holding her hands behind her back and rocking on her heels. Rav didn't reply after that, and shot himself up into the air with his bending. Amita followed, still blushing, and whipped out her glider.

Using her airbending, she, too, shot into the air and took wing in the sky, continuously scanning the ground for possible survivors. As she had expected, it looked like all the residents of the town had luckily left, prior to the earth creature attack. She called to Rav, who was managing to keep himself suspended in the air, "I don't think anyone's here!"

As she glanced down, however, she caught sight of movement below. 'I may have spoken too soon,' she though, slowly descending in spirals. As she landed (a bit ungracefully this time, but it was hard to land perfectly on a pile of unstable rubble), she sighed when she discovered it wasn't a person, it was a piece of paper. She picked it up and studied it carefully, before folding it up and hiding it in her palm.

Rav'n alighted near Amita, following her down. "Did you find anyone?" He asked expectantly as his feet softly touched the rubble, shifting a broken piece of stone in the process. "Or are we done searching?" He failed to see Amita palm the piece of paper, missing the detail entirely. Instead, he looked toward the area of town that he hadn't reached yet. Her glider gave Amita a distinct advantage at moving through the air; maybe she'd taken care of that area. The airbender hoped that was it as he picked his way across the rubble to her side.

(Not sure what to post for Milus so I'm holding off for a bit.)

"Did you find anyone?" said a voice, and Amita whirled, frightened, before realizing it was her friend. "Oh, Rav." she breathed, "No, sorry." The boy landed nearby, "Or are we done searching?" "Yeah," Amita nodded, biting her lip. "I think everyone's gone." The boy trudged through the rubble towards her, and her hand clenched a bit tighter.

"Should we start to head back?" she asked, trying to change the subject, but before Rav could respond Ila came scrambling up from nowhere, calling, "Hey, guys! I'm back! Did you take care of that earth monster creature thing? Where did it go? And what do you think it was? Do you think it was a spirit? That's what I'm thinking."

Amita couldn't help but smile. "Hi, Ila. You're back! Where are the others?" The earthbender shrugged. "They're still waiting around, not really doing anything." She made a face as she examined the state of her surroundings. "Are you guys okay? What happened?" Amita shook her head. "We're fine, Ila, really. Come on, let's go find Milus."

The boy regarded Amita quizzically. She was behaving rather... odd. As she changed the subject and Ila bounded up, Rav'n shook his head. It was probably just his imagination. "It disappeared on us actually. Right into the ground. Woosh!" He mimed the creature's disappearance with the onomatopoeia, nearly following over in the process. "Why would a spirit attack the town though?" He wondered at her question. It didn't make sense to the young airbender.

At the mention of his friend, Rav'n nodded. "Might as well get everyone back together. Do you think he's still with Mei?" The boy asked, then exclaimed. "Wait, Mei's still waiting on us!" He bolted in her direction, calling over his shoulder. "I'll find you two soon! See if you can find Milus or anyone!"

Milus had reached the edge of the town and took a moment to look back and take in the scene. Most of the buildings here were undamaged, but rubble and splintered wood could be seen spilling into the streets. "Definitely a mess." He muttered before continuing on, his back to the destruction. Presently a fluffy white form could be seen through the trees, obviously Kala.

As the man got closer he wrinkled his nose. "Forgot about him." Milus said with an air of disgust, glancing at the body across the clearing.

Min Ra smiled and gave her a thumbs-up. "Great for now."

She turned to Kesuk and Shila. "Well, new crew, to get to the Fire Temple, we need to trim the sails and tack to starboard. There's a compass and a map, so I'll direct you while you get to it."

"It disappeared on us actually; right into the ground. Woosh!" Rav explained, and Amita couldn't help but hide a smile. "Are you serious?" Ila gaped. "I wish I'd seen it!" "Why would a spirit attack the town though?" the boy continued, and the girls both shrugged in unison. It really didn't make much sense at the moment.

"Might as well get everyone back together," Rav stated when they mentioned Milus. "Do you think he's still with Mei?" Rav paused, before his eyes widened. "Wait, Mei's still waiting on us!" The airbender started to run off back towards where they had come. "I'll find you two soon! See if you can find Milus or anyone!"

"Well, Ila," Amita sighed, "it looks like it's just us for now." "Yep, sure bet!" the earthbender grinned. "Wanna see if you can clear some of this rubble out of the way?" Ila slauted. "Yeeeeessiree!" She took a stance and stamped her foot into the ground, lifting up the messy pile of jumbled stone easily. "I'll try looking for Milus." "Gotcha!"

While Sesi and Min Ra had been conversing on firebending (which the boy would have killed for to be able to learn... though obviously a figure of speech), Kesuk stood around impatiently. He and Shila really had nothing to do at the moment, seeing as they were both waterbenders. Finally they got to take their place in the spotlight.

"Well, new crew," Min said, turning to them after finishing up her firebending training session with Sesi, "to get to the Fire Temple, we need to trim the sails and tack to starboard. There's a compass and a map, so I'll direct you while you get to it." Kesuk brightened. Finally, they were actually getting somewhere with this adventure!

"Aye aye, Captain Min!" the boy mock saluted, smirking. He turned to Shila, grinning. "Well, adventure, here we come, right?" Their adventure, at the moment, wasn't looking particularly great, having been attacked by a giant sea creature made entirely of water, and then losing pretty much the whole crew and passengers of the ship, but there was always the now.

Sesi smiled at the praise it was a small victory for her "Alright here we go" she said to herself as she set about doing what Min had asked to be on their way.

((I have to work both my jobs the next two days so can someone take control of Sesi for a bit
:( I don't want to hold any of the story up))
