Avatar: Tales of the Hundred Year War

She pulled out the bag with money, "Get what you want. It's important to have something that you can fight with comfortably. Your brother and mine taught us that." She looked around a little more. "Naginta suits you."

"You think? Ok... Naginata it is. Yay!" He said rushing to pick up the naginata before noticing a nice sword for Era. He picked it up and brought it to her."Look this, light yet i bet it can stop one of the rocks you through, pretty too.. Suits you to a tee."

"Pretty and suits me?" She asked looking up at him. It was gorgeous weaponry. She put the blade down to weigh the sword in her hand. "You think I should get it?"

"If am I going to splash on a good weapon, you should too and in my humble opinion this is it." He said shrugging." You have bending but doesn't hurt to have something to fall back to if that fails. Maybe combine the two, i dont know. Its up to you."

She smirked, "You dodged the first question." She said looking at it, it was nice but she didn't know how to mend a sword. The blade should work just fine. "No, I wouldn't be comfortable with it."

"Didn't need answering... Take it how you like." He answered cheeks turning a little red before clearing his throat." If its the blade you want, who am I to complain. Lets go and pay the sword stand is on the way."

Era shook her head, following. She put the blade up and went with him to go pay. "Are you happy with it?"

"Yeah, it feels right."He said following her while making a few movement with the naginate."Yeah, thats the stuff... You sure its affordable."

She nodded, putting her blade on the counter and counting out how much both items cost before handing the money over. "We still have a good sum of money, but wouldn't hurt to start finding ways to get money."

"We could always find some odd jobs to do as we go." He said stepping out the shop and began playing around with the naginata." We are in no real rush to get to the others, we can afford to delay a few days. Well unless we got fire nation on our butt."

"Maybe, but for now lets go and camp, it's still early and like you said there is no rush. Lets relax for a bit." She said looking up when a messenger hawk flew past them. "Then again, might not be smart."

"Fire nation messenger hawk, its possible its a Fire Nation hawk to someone that don't bend but I'm not so sure. It seems to be landing here in the village." She said walking around the building to watch the bird.

"Is it? Not good..." He said trying to spot the bird before realizing what Era was trying to do. He rushed after her."Eh, if that is what you say it means this town is or is going to be. This means we go away not follow bird to its target."

"We can't assume, Yao." She said following the bird. "You never know, we can stop something before it starts." She said smiling some.

"Of course, you will say that."He said before sighing and following Era."Well at least it means I get to test drive Sticky II sooner the expected." They eventually were able to follow the hawk to one of the bigger houses in the village." That is either the mayor's or the rich guy of the village."

"Yeah, but I don't think this is colony territory, so why would fire nation hawks come here?" She asked before walking towards the house. "Come on lets see what this is all about.."

"I am not sure but i have a few ideas. Borderline are something of no interest for fire nation after all."He commented in whisper as the approached the house terrace and he already could hear voices inside. He placed a finger on his lips for Era to quite down.

Era fell quiet and went around to a window to listen, it didn't sound too bad but she still didn't know. She listened quietly.

"Another message from Fire General Hua." Yao heard a man speaking from the window." He appreciates the information we send about the armies movement, however he is refusing to pay."

"I told you not to trust, the fire nation scum."Came a second female voice.

"Traitorous basta..."Yao went to exclaim angrily.

Era put her hand on his mouth and pulled him behind the house because she heard movement. "Shh." She whispered.

He continued to gripe silently as he moved behind the house with her and looked out for those who walked out of the flat. He still couldnt believe someone would betray there nation for money, he immediately though of his brother and the possibility that this man could have been the cause of his disappearance. "We need to do something about him..."He whispered.

"Like what? Neither one of us are murderers and he is most likely part of the village government." She said to him. "You know how villages are ran."

Yao frowned at Era logic because she was right." Typical I start doing something and then you come in and make sense..." He said as he thought on what to do." Expose him, get inside find some proof and hand it to somebody that doesn't approve."

Era thought it over, "Fine, go through the back." She sighed glancing in. "Maybe the hawk has a letter." She said pointing to the hawk on his desk. "If it has the letter we are as good as we got it."
