Fantasy Auraelion: The two worlds

Prizzy Kriyze

Multiple Stab Wounds
The old story

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

The Age of the Gods begun when the elf, Ashura Thelia, became the first god, and defeated the dark armies of Taurion, the demon king, at the battle of Steilhart. The lands grew green again, and the demons returned to their island of Daera, and all was well. Centuries passed, and new villainous leaders appeared, and new gods rose, all the while technology both within magic, and mechanics grew more and more powerful. To avoid a war of such scale that it would damage the everflowing mana itself, or even destroy the planet, the gods came together, and created an organization consisting of the strongest fighters, and demi-gods, that would be so powerful, no one could ever fight against it. This organization was Exis, and it ruled over Auraelion for a long time.

However, a new threat showed its face. A faction, who called themselves 'The Kaydaren" led by a new god, had begun working to bring down the 3 gods who ruled over the world and bring about the apocalypse. Or that seemed to be their purpose. They were actually working against the corruption that had started growing in the minds of the old gods, and save the world.

Outside the capital of Cornea, Steilhart, the new god, Kaydar, had a fierce battle with the three old gods, and inevitably lost, though he managed to take the two newer of the old gods with him. With his dying breath, he ripped apart the planet, and split it into two seperate dimensions, each completely divided, until 4000 years ago, when the gods cast a spell.

The new worlds

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

The new planets were called Quirr and Gauleia.

The divide almost completely wiped out all species, but some of the more powerful warriors survived. This of course meant, that some races didn't make it, so the dwarves, orcs, gnomes, and Frauga are now extinct. It's been 8000 years since the divide though, and now the two worlds have been repopulated, and are flourishing once more, except for one thing. They are both slowly declining, and will eventually be destroyed if they aren't reunited with their other half. New gods have risen, and they've laid powerful spells on their planets, that causes there to be a few children born every 200 years, that holds the power to move between the two worlds. These children are to find a way to reunite the worlds, and save the world.

Your part in this

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

You are from Quirr, and you are either one of these children, or one of their body guards. There are 3 slots open for Children of Destiny, and indefinite slots open for bodyguards/healers/etc..

For child of destiny:

You were brought to the great monastery within a few days of your birth, and you've been trained in magic/combat since you were able to stand on your own two legs. You've also got a special ability called "Pure Form", which causes you to passively be slightly weaker than anyone else with your training, however, you can unleash all this surpressed power, which increases your strength about 10x from normal. This extra energy manifests itself in a multitude of ways (Explain how yours looks in the CS)

For companions (Guards/healers/etc..)

You are a noble-born, given the mission of protecting the Children of Destiny, and you've been either trained alongside them as a child, or you've been recruited for your expertise just recently.

The races

Humans

Regular, boring humans. Pretty average on everything.

Elves

1123667613_6_blondelf.jpg

Closely related to humans, they're slightly taller and are usually more agile. They're usually stronger with magic, and weaker with Kalá than humans.

Angels

-Anime-Guy-anime-guys-6863170-592-456.jpg

Closely related to demons and elves, they're winged creatures with a close connection the the magic side of the mana of the world. Angels throughout history have been pretty arrogant when dealing with other races, which has often led to war.

Demons

male-demon2.jpg

Closely related to angels and orcs, demons come in all sorts of different sizes and shapes, and the only thing that's sure about them, is that they have a human shape, with either scales, wings, horns, or a tail. They've got a close connection the the Kalá side of the mana of the world. Demons are usually very hateful against angels, but have no quarrels against any other races.

C'than

Kurapika_Half_Demon_Half_Angel_by_resiove.jpg

The c'than are a mix between angels and demons, and are usually frowned upon by both parties. They usually have a very clear line between the angel part of them, and the demon part, the most usual of which is straight down across their body. They migrated to Hielt where they've lived for the past few centuries, not ever letting a single person who's not a C'than in.

Definitions

Magic

Magic is what you expect it to be. Everything from healing, to lightning bolts, to melting ice, to growing flowers.

Kalá

Kalá is power accumulated by training. It increases your overall strength and resilience. Depending on how much you've accumulated, you grow stronger in whatever type of fighting you use. It's the main Power used by warriors to grow as strong as magic users, but it's also what magicians use to increase their physical capabilities. It has also been reported that Masters of Kalá can use it to create almost a magical effect on attacks, for example, burning opponents with a slash.

Arch-Angel/Arch-Demon/Arch-Elf/Arch-Human/Arch-C'than

The title of an angel/demon/elf/human/C'than who've reached such a high level of power that they are biologically immortal, and will live forever unless they starve or get killed. (Weaker than demi-gods and gods)

Demi-gods

There are official tests to see whether or not you've reached such a level in power that you can be considered a demi-god, but the general idea of a Demi-god is that they are so powerful that they don't need anything added to them to live, so they can live entirely without water, food, exercise, or oxygen to exist. (More powerful than Arch-whatever, weaker than Gods.)

Gods

Someone who has trained so much and aquired so much power that they can almost literally control everything. Called gods, because they have aquired enough power to in the hypothetical sense, act like gods.

Factions

The church of Ardyle

The biggest church in Quirr, devoted to the first god of Quirr, Ardyle. All smaller churches (Church of Firya/Srike/Gane) are branches of this church, as they are all allied (Otherwise they would already have killed one another)

The kingdom of Rogan

Quirr is a monarchy, and it's current king is Rogan, the almighty. Despite his name, he's barely an Arch-human, much less almighty.

(More to come... Probably)

Kriyze updated Auraelion: The two worlds with a new update entry:

Kinda important

The RP will start on sunday
As I've said, but I'm going to close the RP now. I believe that there's enough people, and more would turn it into a right mess (It might still be like that...)

But the RP is starting on sunday because I'm a lazy bi*ch and I've got IRL things to do... Oh I hate IRL things..

If someone still wants to join they'll have to...
Read the rest of this update entry...

I'll start it now, it has to be sunday somewhere on earth

Alfred stood by the window of his tower, looking over the city of Garth. It's a beautiful view, especially at night when it was only lit by the magical fires in every window and streetlight, and he always understood why the original builders referred to it as "The Holy City". His eyes wandered to the monastery. He glanced at his clock. 3:46 (AM). Today was the day that the Journey was going to start, and they had recently added many guards to the party, so he wasn't exactly worried about the kids. The Chosen themselves seemed more reliable than the ones he had been with. He sighed. Hopefully they wouldn't meet the same fate. Or, same fate? He didn't actually know what happened to them.. They just.. Disappeared. He looked back at the clock again, 3:59 (AM). He swore time had moved this fast last time he waited for the journey to start too. He was almost sure it was chronomagic, but he didn't have any experience in the category, so he couldn't tell.

She was supposed to be here any second now, to give the word. 4 AM was the designated time, where is sh-... A feeling crashed through his bones, like a ripple through reality itself. He recognized it, it wasn't anything alien to him, magic was commonplace at this point, even this kind of powerful magic. He turned around, and there she stood. The newest god, Firya. Her presence itself seemed to make the fires burn brighter, the air in his lungs feel better, his body lighter. There was something amazing yet terrifying standing in front of something so powerful.

Firya brushed the hair out of her face. "Long ranged dimensional travel is the worst.". She held the hilt of her sword at her side with one hand, and placed the other one on her hip, looking pretty annoyed. "This again? I remember the last time I had to send some ignorant spoiled chosen brats off on their journey. They all seemed so confident, and yet they fell at their first battle with a fade? Bunch of wusses." Alfred had meet Firya before, but he was always so caught off-guard by her personality. She didn't seem very god-like or holy at all. He saluted her, and said "My life for you, Firya Bane. Thank you for blessing us with your presence during these last moments before the Holy Departing." She didn't look pleased, and responded "Oh drop the act, douchebag. I don't even want to be here. Tell you what, I'm going to go now. You'll have to deal with the derparture yourself. I can't deal with more of these children, and you've done this before right? Good, get going." Alfred panicked slightly, and said "Wait, Fir-" She left. He sighed, and lifted his sword from the table and strapped it to his back. There was no way for him to contact her again now, so he might as well get things started.

He made his way through the castle, knocking on the door of every guard they hired for The Journey(@Reyen0804

@LuckLacked @Der Kojote @HollyLeafForever ) And then he immediately left. He was a bit nervous, being the one in charge of handling this now on his own, as Firya had left him.

When he got to the main hall of the Monastery he found that all the priests and bishops were already present and ready for the arrival of the guards and the chosen. He took his place in front of the large double doors leading to the city outside, and held his sword downward between his two hands, leaning on it against the ground, waiting for them all to arrive.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Key was awake. Not like he needed sleep. Besides, he smell Alfred before he was there. He just waited to be polite. He had sat in his bed staring at the wall for the past 9 hours, with his swords crossed in his lap. He was ready for the journey, and he waited about 3 minutes before leaving his room, giving time for Alfred to finish whatever he was doing. Sheathing the swords, he passed through all the halls and corridors leading to the main monastery hall. Once there, he noticed all the priests lining the walls. Honestly, he found them a bit creepy. Well, at least to the point of which he understood the meaning of the word creepy. Nevertheless, he took his place next to the gates, a few meters away from Alfred who had almost fallen asleep on his sword.

(RP is officially on. Everyone please make their ways to the main hall of the monastery ^^)

Alex almost cried when the master came and woke her up to bless her and say his final goodbyes Alex almost cried this was the only place where she felt she belonged and she would also be leaving her teachers and her friends, but she dare not cry in fear of being told she will never be good enough for this. As they walked to the main hall she tripped and fell but thankfully none noticed. She was one of the first chosen in the room so she stood silently she was almost terrified to leave and go into the world she ad never see nor dreamed about, but she knew it was for a good reason. She walked up to Alfred, sighed and said " Alex Koren Fotor, reporting in." She hopped that was something along the lines of what she should have said. She watched and waited for a reply or a head nod.

Xerith made his way to the main hall…this was it. This moment was the culmination of all the efforts that had been poured into the training of his follow Children of destiny, and the careful selection and training of the guardians to protect them. The feeling was interesting; he never really liked what fate had assigned him, so it wasn’t quite joyous…but he knew long ago there was no turning back; it was more of acceptance, grim determination. Of course that couldn’t show, he’d gone through the blessings with all the serenity and calmness as a church mouse. Walking to the meeting point his mind raced through his 20 years of life, one thought crossed his mind; Will all of it be worth it? He left such musings for the Aether to answer. Duty was the main point of concern at the moment. It was the duty that he never chose, but his to play a part in nevertheless.

His pack on his back and sword and knife tucked in their sheaths, he made his entrance into the hall. As he walked the dull thud of his obsidian staff resounded with every step he took. Yellow eyes scanning the crowd, priests and bishops, all were present. The ceremony was about to begin soon. He then raised an eyebrow to the sight of Alfred almost falling asleep on his sword. Of all that had taught Xerith, Alfred was probably the teacher he favored the most. There was always something calming about working on mastering Kala. Still, to have the man that taught you most everything you knew and who was supposed to be overseeing this operation almost falling asleep? That was not acceptable. With a raised eyebrow Xerith tapped the end of his staff on the ground rather loudly when he came to a stop. Still with an eyebrow still raised at Alfred as if to say really man? His tail wrapped around the bottom of the staff and he waited for the others.

Alex was wondering if he had even noticed her there or if anybody had noticed her there, so she took two very quiet steps towards Alfred and then she poked him, "Umm... Sir your supposed to be awake right?"

Cerin was awake when the knock on the door came. She had been waiting for it all night. It was the sound that marked the end of her current life; the life she'd lived in service to the temple. She had ventured into the outside world on two occasions in her life. The first, had been on the eve of her tenth birthday. Her handmaiden had taken her out into the courtyard, just in front of the temple after the others had been asleep. It was only for a few minutes, but it had been one of the best experiences of her life. The second occasion had been the night before, when she'd been brought to this place, and instructed that her service to the temple was at an end.

Sighing, she readied herself. It seemed they had a quite large party. After her life of seclusion, she wasn't sure what to expect. Would they all be angels and humans? Or would there be demons, as well? The three were the only races Cerin was even aware of, due to the limited scope of visitors to her temple, and the limited selection of texts that had been made available to her over the years. Kneeling, she offered a quick, but meaningful prayer to Ardyle. Though she was no longer directly within Ardyle's service, she still served the God, and requested a blessing to keep her strong through the ceremony. She stood, and straightened her armor, grabbing her small pack, and ensuring her sword belt was properly tightened. Taking a deep breath, she opened the door, and began her journey to the main hall.

Upon arriving, Cerin was shocked to see an overwhelming number of people in the main hall. Once again nervous, she awkwardly approached the double doors, inferring that she was to take a place near Alfred. The man appeared to be asleep, which did little to ease Cerin's nerves. The one person she recognized in the hall, and he was asleep? Standing to the side of the man, Cerin quickly offered a timid wave of her hand to the others present, as well as a short greeting. "H-hello." The word was all she could muster, but it would suffice, for now. She folded her arms, and slightly shifted her wings, waiting for the others to arrive, and the ceremony to begin.

Anali watched as the Priest that blessed her walk away soon after Alfred came in. She found it a bit odd, but of course she did not question it. At this moment in time, her place was to wait and obey, and to find out what it was that she was supposed to be doing. So, she obeyed Alfred when he told them to go to the main hall. She bowed respectfully, and then turned to begin towards where she knew the main hall to be.

As she went, she passed many things, all of which caught her eye. It had been a while since she was just there for something, to be able to wait, and relax, and not have to worry about training or on the spot sparring. It was refreshing, and she felt that some of the others probably felt that way, too, even if they were all supposed to be alert. Anali was always alert, she just never seemed like it.

Finally she reached the main hall, and seeing where some of the others went, joined them and stood next to Cerin, but said nothing. She was rather quiet when things like this happened, even if she knew some of the people all her life. She just hoped that it would be over soon.

A light knock was heard upon Ayra's door, signalling the time for departure was here. Finally. I was getting restless. He thought to himself. Quickly he jumped up from his seat and slicked his hair back slightly, trying to look a bit professional. The light from his window illuminated the room, giving it a bright cheery feel. Sounds of foot steps kept passing by Ayra's room, giving the assumption people were already heading out to the main hall. Guess I should not take too long. Ayra opened his door and began walking in the direction of the main hall, following the path where he was shown before. The building he was in looked rather fancy and well put together, much better than when he had stayed in Daera.

After walking through the building for a few moments he found the main hall, starting to get filled with those supposedly going on this mission. So I'll be travelling with these people...Ayra thought to himself. The room was rather quiet, a few people seemed nervous or sullen. It was a bit...strange. He for one was excited, he would be able to fill in is purpose in life. Complete the last goal given to him by his mentor. This was an honor. He walked in slowly, trying to be inconspicuous as possible. The room was a bit stifling in truth, he didn't exactly understand how this would go about. They would just leave and start walking somewhere?

Alfred glanced at everyone as they made their way inside the hall. Alex walked up to him and said "Alex Koren Fotor, reporting in." She clearly hadn't remembered how this was supposed to go. He nodded at her and said "Just go stand next to the others." Shortly after, a familiar demon made his way inside. Seeing him brought a small and short-lived smile to Alfreds face. You'd never get him to admit it, but he definitely favored some students higher than others, and he liked Xerith's ambitions. After Xerith's raised eyebrow, Alfred gave him a patronizing look and signaled with his hand for him to go stand with the others. Five people in total had made it here now. Wonder what the others were up to.

(Don't rush me >_< I'm gonna give everyone about 10 hours from now to post, and then, unless people have already posted, I will continue this.)

Fae stirred slightly in her sleep, her soft snores the only sound in her room. She laid sprawled on the bed, the covers of the bed she had been sleeping in just barely hanging onto her. At the sound of quick shark knocks on her door, Fae stirred once again, facing the other side of the room. She struggled to awake unsuccessfully, still half asleep as her thoughts began to stir with her.

Very busy day today. I've got important stuff to do. The journey begins today.....

"NO!"

Fae shot out of bed, almost falling out as she stumbled out. She raced to find clothes, her hair a mess, sticking straight up as if she had been electrocuted by lighting itself. "No, no, no." she groaned, running around wildly in an attempt to get ready. She couldn't believe she had almost overslept. "D*** it." she cursed. She had been waiting for this forever, and excitement had kept her up late and now she was paying for her stupid mistake.

Typical.

Minutes later Fae was walking down a long corridor, her once wild tangled hair now in a neat ponytail, and her clothes neatly tucked and tidy. Fae hurried through the long corridors, slipping her pocket knife inside her clothing.

She adjusted the tiny tear shaped red amulet around her neck. She had grown used to it's heat which occasionally touched her skin when she moved. And now she had found it comforting as she grabbed onto it, pressing it into the small of her neck.

Upon arriving at the main hall of Monastery, she quickly scanned the room upon entering, her eyes glancing over every person there at least once. Cautiously walking in, Fae had calmed slightly at realizing she wasn't late and not many people had arrived yet. Though this made the atmosphere rather still and quiet. The silence was slightly uncomfortable for her, making Fae anxious. Any other time she would gladly approach others and start a conversation. But determined to make a decent impression, she stood off towards the side, hands clasped behind her back as she restlessly waited for the others to arrive.

Excitement and nervousness were an odd combination of emotions, Eris came to know, and on a day that had been spoken of so highly for so long, she found it inevitable to feel. As of today, their Journey was destined to begin. She blew a silent breath between her teeth. 20 years of preparing for this, and you'd think you'd feel ready. She thought, then shook her head, urging herself to set aside such a thought and beginning to make her way to the main hall of the Monastery. No use in thinking something so feeble. Her eyes set off to wander about her surroundings, taking in as much as she could of the place they all may see for the last time. If today could be called anything, it would be bittersweet.

It hadn't taken long to arrive at the main hall. Bisque eyes doing an automatic quick sweep of the area, she hastened as subtly as she could to stand somewhere amongst them all. Normally, quiet would be welcomed by Eris, but the certain tension this silence held was enough to unnerve her. Despite so, she was determined to keep her discomfort from showing within her actions. Her eyes, once more, began another scan of the main hall, lingering on a fatigued Alfred a moment, and almost imperceptibly raising an amused brow before forcing her eyes forward again, waiting for the others to arrive.

Elose was reading a rather thick paperback book when the knock on his door came. He stood up and brushed his hair to the side slightly, so that it wasn't in his eyes, and put his book in his bag. He then slung the bag lightly over his shoulder, and walked out of the room. There was an obvious amount of confidence, yet grace in the way he walked down the hallway, towards the main hall.

When he finally reached the main hall, he looked over the room, and figured out where he needed to stand. He walked over, and gave Alfred a small nod, and stood with the other Guards that were to go on this Journey.

(The intro time limit IS UUUUUP, everyone who didn't have time to post will now be magically moved to the hall)

Alfred shook his head as more journey members made their way into the hall. He was supposed to be awake for this, otherwise nothing was going to happen. When the last member took his/her place against the wall, he was approached by the head bishop. "Where's Firya?" He shortly asked Alfred. "She decided against handling this, and said that it was all up to me." The bishop looked rather shocked at this, but he bowed and said "There is nothing we can do about that, then." and made his way back to the other side of the room. Alfred lifted his sword from the ground and resheathed it as he turned to face the chosen and their guardians. "You've heard it a thousand times, but you'll have to hear it again, by tradition."

"One child will walk in the shadows, one child will bask in the light, one child will dance in the fire, and one child will drown in the cold." He chanted, and when he stopped an eerie silence laid over the room, which was shortly replaced by all the priests, bishops, and whatever else was in there, all singing a sad old tune. "This is your destiny, and you'll have to follow it. Because if you don't, then we will all surely die.." The singing subsided after a moment, and Alfred stretched his arms. "Well, that's the traditional part over, and don't look so glum, it's not that bad. They're all just metaphors for the original temples. Fire, water, light, and dark, but as you know, the amulets haven't been there since the first Children of Destiny went through them, instead you'll have to find the current location of the four amulets. He raised a hand and pointed to Key. "Clearly, one is right there, but it's not whole, so you're gonna have to find the other part of it. So to sum it up, you'll have to find the other piece of the Continuum amulet, you'll have to find the Chrono Amulet, and you'll have to find the Arcane Amulet. Sounds easy right? Good."

He paused and turned to the priests. "It's time for you all to do your thing now." and they all started chanting on some old arcane language. He turned back to the group with a neutral look on his face, which quickly turned into a slightly panicked expression. "I almost forgot, here!" He ran up to each chosen and slipped a necklace over their heads, with a wheel-like symbol on each one.

SymbolBuddismwheel.gif

"Here, these are proof that you are the chosen, and will undoubtably get you into places you normally couldn't. You're now going to be sent to the outskirts of the city, and you'll be met by-" And so all the Guardians and Chosen were teleported away by the priests.

Key was a bit confused by the transfer, he hadn't been teleported many times. But he liked where they ended up, the djungle was a beautiful place.

He felt a presence though, and turned to face it. A small man draped in a cloak walked up to them. "My.. Name is... Crest..." The man spoke up "I'm going to be your informant from now on... Pleased.. To meet you.. Now, I don't have time to chat, so I'll tell you right away that the Chrono Amulet just came up as a price for winning a team-based tournament in the port-town of Calleus on Daera. You should head there first." And so he was gone. He didn't even walk away... He just disappeared. Key decided to hold back, and see what the Children chose to do.

Cerin watched the proceedings of the ceremony, listening intently, while light was shed on the task before them. As a Guardian, she'd always been told she would assist the Chosen in saving the world. Only now, it occurred to her, that through all the training, she'd never been given any further details. Focused on Alfred's last words to the group, she cried out as the group was teleported, glancing around sheepishly as the group arrived in the jungle. Fool. She'd finally become a guardian, and was already showing signs of weakness. The situation was confusing, that was for sure. She'd never been teleported, and based off of the experience she'd had just know, she hoped she'd never have to be teleported anywhere else, ever again.

Listening to the man who called himself Crest, Cerin nodded, and gripped the hilt of her sword tightly, drawing it from its sheath. She removed the shield strapped to her back, and fastened it to her left forearm. Though the chances of the group being teleported directly into danger were quite slim, the sword, shield, and her armor were all she had of her former life, now. The items comforted her, thought she knew not whether it was the familiarity of them, or the doing of Ardyle.

As Crest vanished, Cerin finally got a good look at the rest of the group. They were quite the odd assortment of characters, between the Chosen and their Guardians. A few of the others looked just as confused, as she, herself felt. As no one else had spoken up yet, Cerin decided to try to start a conversation about the group's course of action.

"S-so, Calleus, is it? On Daera?" She'd never heard of the place. Refusing to reveal just how poor her knowledge of the outside world was, to the others, she glanced around. "Umm... I haven't been there in so long..."her voice trailed off as she continued to speak, "w-which way is it again?" Cursing herself, she silently resolved to speak less in the future, when unsure of their journey.

Cerin was angry. She'd been brought up her entire life, being told that she would be one of the Guardians of the Chosen. She'd worked, day in and day out, at channeling the divine magic bestowed upon her by the god Argyle. Though she was a fairly competent warrior, and quite a remarkable Cleric, her lack of knowledge of the outside world was crippling. How am I supposed to defend my Chosen, in a world I don't understand? The thought had plagued her before, but was never nearly as prevalent as it was here and now, within the heart of the jungle. Releasing a small sigh, Cerin awaited the others of the group, to determine which way it was to the city they'd visit, next.

Elose kept a calm looking face throughout the whole ceremony, though he hated to admit it, he was excited, but none of this showed through. He stood patiently, until they were teleported. His facial expression didn't change instead he looked around at the lush jungle around the group, then at the person who called himself Crest. After the person was done speaking, and vanished he heard a girl speak, he didn't exactly know her name, as he didn't really talk to anyone, but he could tell she was nervous.

"I have only been to my home land of Faylin, I haven't been to this place, though I have studied it, and its occupants are mostly Demons and Humans," he informed the group.

Kadron hid a yawn by adjusting his sword. "Well, this is it." He stepped forward, having been teleported a few feet away from the outer edge of the group. "Children of Destiny, it's your job to figure out where the heck we're going." His voice had a hint of sarcasm, and he looked around the forest around him, making mental notes of the area.

[Oh geez. Sorry for taking so long!]

During the ceremony, Fae had kept quiet just as everyone else, taking in the information she already knew. During the teleporting process, surprise had crept onto her face but before she could have any real reaction she was there, in a jungle. She glanced around taking a moment to gaze at the scenery. It was lush and well.....green. Everywhere. Though it was beautiful, she didn't have much time to really think none of it because at that moment a man had approached them, giving them new information on the Chrono Amulet. After the man named Crest had vanished however, she was left to her own thoughts.

"Calleus on Daera eh?" she thought. She'd heard of the place sure, but had no real helpful information to provide so she kept her mouth shut, waiting on everyone else to come to their own conclusions.

Fae directed her attention on the first girl to speak. It was obvious to her and perhaps the others she was nervous, as she stumbled over her words. Fae smiled sympathetically and slowly moved towards her, placing a hand on her shoulder meant to comfort her but immediately pulled back realizing her mistake.

"Er, sorry" she mumbled, dropping her voice to a low whisper only audible for her to hear. "Hey, It's fine. It may not seem like it but majority of everyone is pretty anxious. Easier said than done but do try and relax a bit" she said, offering another sincere smile.

Without waiting for a reply she stepped away from her. Comforting others was definitely not her strong point but she had figured to at least give it a try. And she figured she had done pretty decent. Eh, it was a start. As another man spoke up Fae merely listened. As said before she wasn't familiar with the place so she couldn't and was not going to try and pipe in adding extra information she didn't know. However as the third person spoke up, another male fellow, Fae couldn't help but to roll her eyes at his little comment, making it obvious as she did so. She would've loved to make a smart remark then and there but she held her tongue, at least for now.

The Ceremony had gone as expected, Xerith’s mind wandered while the monks went on as tradition dictated. He’d heard this a thousand times before, if not more. He was happy he was finally leaving, though he noticed something…the doors weren’t opening, and Alfred was rushing to slip a necklace around their necks. Though his statement was less than welcome the words you’ll be sent were still echoing in Xerith’s ears when he realized that the doors weren’t going to open, and the invocation of ancient arcane languages meant something FAR different.

What did it mean? It meant teleportation, being displaced from your present location and being moved instantly, and honestly it was not a good feeling. Xerith was bracing himself against his staff after the priests’ spell had gotten them to the group’s destination. He held his stomach as he waited for it to settle, he silently cursed the need for ritual and impracticalness of it all, Damn it…we could have walked. Though soon his stomach had settled and the world had stopped spinning. Though he was thrown off again, with the sudden appearance and disappearance of their informant, he thought to himself Note…learn how to do that…will be great party trick. Or for more practical means, a way how to get out of a less than pleasant situation.

Still taking in the sights and sounds of his new environment, the jungle, no longer was there the cold stone of the monastery, the omnipresent droning of the monks. Or, the sounds of wooden sticks colliding with each other in constant training. No for once this was different, this was outside, determination slid from Xerith’s face, and instead one of joy took its place. He deeply inhaled, “Smell that clean air…something new, and something finally different for a change.” Though the look of serene joy also slid from his face, leading to a look of question. “Wait…so they teleported us out…without any sense of direction…they cannot be that…” he planted his head firmly in his hand and shook it in disbelief. “Ladies and gentlemen…please tell me someone has a map? Or anyone that has been outside the monastery and traveled please step forward.”

Then he heard a comment, sure it sounded sarcastic, but it got on hi’s nerves nevertheless. He turned to the source, aggravation in his voice. Finally now he was away from the monks. Away from the priests he could speak his mind. “Alright…let me get this clear first off…I don’t want to hear the words child of destiny or children of destiny again. I’ve had 20 years of hearing how “blessed” we are…or how important we are, or how we have great destinies. I don’t want to hear it anymore!” He seemingly calmed down and started off slow. “I consider this an even playing field. There are more than 4 people chosen by the whims of fate trying to save the worlds. I'd prefer to hear them as well. Because I don’t have any more knowledge of which way to go than anyone else here. I wish I did, because that means I would have been home for more than a few days after birth…”

Eris remained silent throughout the ceremony, trying to mentally sponge up as much information about their soon beginning Journey as she could. The suddenness of being teleported made her tense up, but then taking in an eyeful of her surroundings, relaxed. It was beautiful in the jungle, but before she could awe much longer, a man dressed in a cloak approached the group. She listened as he, who was known as Crest, told them the location of the Chrono Amulet, and that he was to be their informant. However, he was as gone as quickly as he came.

Calleus on Daera... she thought, digging through her memories to scrounge up any useful information she could find. When the girl began to speak, she paused to offer her a glance and small, sympathetic smile before listening to the male elf's words, and giving a nod. Delving back into thought, she frowned. Nothing. Her brows shot up as a demon, Xerith, began to speak, and with each word that fell from his tongue, she found herself to relate. Sudden remembrance brightened up her expression, and she cursed herself for not thinking of it earlier. Her hands worked to fasten the buckled pocket at her hip, and out she pulled a folded map. "I have one," she said, holding it up between her fingers before unfolding it and holding it in front of her with hands on either sides. "Let's see here..." she mumbled, eyes squinted and brow furrowed. "Oh. Looks like we'll have to head to a magician's guild that can open a portal there. There seems to be one about... 4 miles west of here." She folded the map back up and slid it into her pocket. "Give or take."

After all of those going on the journey had finally arrived at the main hall, Alfred had begun the traditional ceremony. Priests flooded in and begun singing a soft depressing song, speaking in an old tongue that he didn't understand. As Ayra looked around the room, standing still in his position, he noticed others were grimacing, obviously disapproving of the song. Hm. I for one like it, it's rather soothing actually. He thought. Just then the music stopped, and Alfred gave a signal for them to begin some other...incantation? Alfred stood there for a moment rather indifferent before suddenly realizing something and fumbling around with some random jewelry. He passed them out to the Children informing us of some extra info before being teleported away to a location which was unknown to Ayra.

W-what was that? He thought, still a little dazed at the sudden transfer of locations. A small man walked up, covered in a cloak, he begun to speak of the first amulet, the Chrono Amulet, which was hidden in...Daera. Every fiber of Ayra's being shrieked at the sound of Daera. His home, he'd have to return to. Ayra's head began to cloud as his anger increased, he clenched his fist tightly. Daera...Daera...DAERA. The word echoed in his head, given Ayra a massive headache. He began to feel sick as memories of the past returned to him, the pain he felt. Ayra couldn't stand anymore, he kneeled on the ground, trying to get a hold of himself. T-try to not be a monster. Try. For your chosen children. Try.

Nakir had been in the hall just like everyone else, listening to the whole spiel on destiny and garbage. He didn't much care about any of that. Find the amulets, that was all he needed to know. The rest of it was just a bunch candy coated hogwash used to make things sound more fancy in his eyes. All he cared about was fighting and getting stronger. In fact, he already hated most of the people he would be working with; some demons, a few elves, a human or two thrown in the bunch, and only one other angel. Why he had to be stuck with a bunch of lesser beings was beyond him.

The teleportation didn't faze Nakir at all, as it seemed to do a good enough job at moving them quickly. As he listened to the informant named Crest, a few questions popped into his head as he vanished. What exactly was this 'tournament'? Also, why was that informant in such a hurry? Couldn't he have at least given them concrete directions? No matter. Nakir just listened as the group seemed to spout unnecessary garbage and nonsense. Even the other angel seemed to be flustered. Jeez, why did I have to get stuck with a group of numskulls. To his relief and surprise, a female demon had enough sense in her to focus on the task at hand and pull out a map, spouting out directions. Speaking for the first time to the group, Nakir brushed his hair away from his one good eye. "You heard the beast, that's where we should be heading. Now, if you are all done talking nonsense, we should get going." He saw no point in just waiting around, and now that they had a location, they could get going.

(Sorry! didn't get a notification and was busy, so sorry I was late!)

The ceremony went exactly as Anali always dreamed it would. She smiled as she felt the amulet being pulled over her head, and glanced back to Alfred to mouth thanks to him, though she knew he wouldn't see it, it still felt like the proper thing to do. She waited patiently with her hands folded in her lap, running through the incantation that the priests were speaking in her mind. A lot of it sounded familiar to her, but she wasn't sure that she had ever come across that specific one. Interesting.

When they were teleported away, the familiar feeling of being bent and poked all over came to her and she embraced it with open arms. When the scene of the place melted into view, she recognized it as Daera before anything was said. She had been there many times, but didn't exaclty know her way around as well as she should. She was rather directionally challenged, but if she saw something familiar she would undoubtedly know where to go.

The idea of a team-based tournament played on in the back of her mind as they talked back and forth. Some negative, some positive. She still didn't want to talk too much just yet, until she had a feel for everyone there, but she wondered how interesting it would be with some of the bickering that was going on to be in a team-based tournament. Hopefully they could pull it together before it was too late, but she had no words of encouragement. If she said the wrong thing, then she would be on everyone's bad side, and then she would have to prove to them that she was worth speaking to again.

Too much pressure right now. She was just going to wait.

Alarmed by the unexpected hand on her shoulder, Cerin jumped, and quickly backed away from the woman. What was she doing? The gesture was unfamiliar; life in the temple hadn't allowed for such trivial things. Quickly realizing that she hadn't meant any harm, Cerin realized her grip on her sword had tightened, in preparation for the worst. Now, she relaxed her grip, and offered a quick apology.

Turning her attention to the others in the group, she listened as they each said their piece. A tournament? She shuddered. The only combat experience she had, had been practice with others in the temple. She'd never actually seriously fought anyone, and wondered of the true potential of her magic, though, surely the tournament would stop, when one side was clearly beaten... they wouldn't be fighting to the death... would they?

She nodded in agreement with the other angel, ready to head out. Whatever the case may be, it was her destiny to ensure the others in her group remained unharmed.

Moose had been quietly observing the ceremony, conversations, and everything. He'd only been teleported once, but he's been used to how magic feels on his body. The man named Crest was strange, but the idea of a tournament interested him. He hadn't seen much action since becoming a Guardian, and though he enjoyed the relative peace of this lifestyle, his hands had gotten soft, and though he still trained his body and dutifully kept charge of the children, his inner soul demanded something to punch other than a sand bag.

"This tournament, he said it required the teams in order to play?" His pointer fingers rubbed his jawline, pondering. "Does anybody know the exact number of persons a team can hold?"

It was a question that they'd all want to know the answer at some point. He walked a few steps into the treeline, his chains could be heard clinking as he walked into the forest.
