Futuristic ARK: Survival of the Fittest (Closed)

"Yea, I got it," Roan said, standing and taking the raptor away. when he was done, he returned to her, "Did you two trip?"

"No," Anna shook her head, "Thunder tripped, gravity took me with him." The raptor had ended up on top while they tumbled, doing this to her leg.

"I wonder what he tripped on," Roan said, looking out where they fell.

There wasn't anything apparent where they'd fallen, more than likely it was just bad luck or something trying to make Anna cool her heels.

About that time, Jack and Vera were getting back, opening the gate to enter.

"Looks like they're back," Roan said to Anna, "They'll be wondering why there's meat on your leg."

"Hehe," Anna shook her head, "Thank you for helping me, I mean it." She smiled at Roan as the green and red parasaur laden with meat and hide walked in.

"We bring food!", Jack called.

Roan looked at Anna, "It's no problem, really."

Vera hopped down from the saddle, beginning to unload the meat, "Why is there meat on her?"

"I'm serious," Anna smiled at the man, before snapping her attention to Vera, "None of your business!"

"Oh, not again," Jack sighed as he started loading meat into the preserving bin so it wouldn't go bad before it could be cooked or something be done with it.

Roan chuckled, "I'm serious too. It was no problem."

Vera raised a brow, "What did you do?"

"Are you ok?" Vera asked, moving to Anna's side, "How bad is it?"

"I'll be fine, I think," Anna tried to push Vera away, but wasn't very successful on account of not being able to move very far in either direction without sending pain shooting up from the leg injury.

Vera sat nearby, "How did you trip?"

"Trying to train to shoot while riding. Dino went down and took her down too," Roan answered.

"Bet you're not gonna do that again, are you?", Jack shook his head.

"Shut up, Jack!"

"It was a good idea," Roan said, looking at Jack, "It was just an accident. Really, we should think about our skills while riding."

"If I'm ever trying to shoot while riding something moving fast enough to trip and fall so I land on the bottom, I have way bigger problems than whether I can aim." Jack shook his head.

"I don't think they normally trip and fall," Roan commented.

"I'd never seen any of the raptors trip unless something was around their legs," Anna added.

"Either way," Jack shrugged, "Ideally I'm riding something that doesn't need to move that fast anyway."

"I tower over a lot of things," jack shrugged, "That wasn't my point." He looked at the bird on a campfire with an arrow sticking out of its chest, 'How'd that happen?"

"That's dinner, don't worry about it," Anna shook her head.

"She shot it out of the sky when the raptor fell," Roan answered.

Jack looked up at the sky then at the bird, and where the target dummies were, trying to figure out how the bird got there. "Well, she's lethal at least."

"Damn straight!"

Roan laughed at Anna's comment.

"Well, that saved us from having to cook anything right now." Vera shrugged.

"Can't argue with that," Jack nodded, "Is she gonna need help getting up the ladder?" Anna crossed her arms and harumphed.
