To ball or not to ball. That was the woof. To woof or not to woof. That was the bark. Was the bark a woof, or was the woof a bark? Either way, where the fourth ball failed, a fifth went flying.

As fast as the ocean monster became it was as predictable as another sword fight. Vertical slashes was his expertise to defend being a heavy armored warrior. In a show of skill, Annellanus sprung his spine and bent his knees, dodging the sonic projectile by ducking underneath like a game of limbo. Then his existence flashed forward, passing the distance of 20ft in a mere moment. Meeting the beast in retaliation.
In an attempt to split the ocean in half, Annellanus hinged his hips forward with all his strength and whipped out a front kick.
He was running out of balls. Did this buddy really hate him so much. The creature definitely seemed eager to head-bump him into the stomach again. “A hard-earned friendship lasts the longest...” He mumbled, as he tried yet again.

A direct attack line such as a spear or front kick was as easily side stepped as avoiding a hungry child if you could manage the spacing. He was 100% it would have landed, the equation of such a large enemy against a quick attack would've been obvious. However this was the beasts territory. As easily as it terraformed the land into water it would shift the water underneath it's weight to push it to the side.
Annellanus had completely missed. Cheeky little fucker. Hamstrings electrified violently in attempt to destroy. Placing the momentum built by slamming the front kicks foot down had brought him the perfect stance to instantly launch out a back hurricane kick with his spare leg.
His tail sped up again, seeing the buddy enter the ball. At his very last breath ball, the buddy decided to join him after all! That said, he was out of ball, so he'd [Travel] back to the professor's lab to go pick up some new ones.

Looking down at the little creature staring at him in abject terror. Izuru contemplated whether or not HE was the problem. A reminder from his gamer brain brought him back to his senses. "Yes... YOU will be my frontliner. All of my efforts will be poured into you... all you need to do is get in the ball" said the Dragonkin as he ominously approached the small rhino. Tossing one of the buddy balls at it. Izuru wanted to make sure he bagged at least one metal before he ran out of balls.
Adelhein El-Melloi von Breyer // Saber Alter
(Mesa Zone)
Adelhein found one more of the little rocky pests, who kept going, "RAH! RAH!" trying to intimidate him. This time around, he would be the one throwing the rock at it, aiming the piece of mineral squarely against the creature's head and launching towards it

Upon arriving at the lab, he'd kindly nod at the professor and pick up some new balls. With that done, he set out again, this time heading for the [Ice Zone].

Catching the little rhino in his ball. Izuru decided he'd had enough of the scorching heat and he instead wanted to hit up that TROPICAL HEAT. Now with three buddies in his balls. The dragonkin/bard/tamer thought of all the combinations if he were to breed or merge these three. Metal + Lightning was a good mix since metal was a good conductor of electricity. Wind + Lightning seemed fine as well for obvious reasons. Running with his arms behind his back again. Izuru headed for the beach.
He shivered upon his arrival at the Ice Zone. This place honoured its name. That said, he was here for a purpose, so he looked around to see if he could spot a buddy.

In hindsight, perhaps throwing balls frantically wasn't such a great decision, as the two balls he threw promptly missed.
Deciding to take a more deliberate approach this time, though still keeping some distance from the swarm, Glacier threw two more balls at the mass of lightning buddies.
Action: Throwing (Another) Two Balls at [Lightning Buddies]
“How... electrifying.” He stated, upon spotting the buddy. “Would you want to join as well?” He asked, after which he threw a ball at it tot try and find out.

Izuru arrived on the beach and listened to the sound of crashing waves. Standing atop a rock and staring at the incoming tide. There was no time to waste for Izuru and his three remaining balls. Hopping onto the sand and faceplanting. Izuru rolled around for a bit before getting up and looking around for any Buddies.
Izuru found yet another windy creature that he at no point desired another of. "The hell is this?! Another furry fuck wriggling about in the wind? NO THANK YOU. I have my own small fluffball in my balls right now" stated Izuru while crouching down to pick up a stick. Running from the wind buddy. Izuru hoped to try again.
Ruby Larue Wrapped in the red fluff of her tail, Ruby quietly shuffled through the open Mesa. Her steps were awkward but deliberate - an attempt at sneaking, while her tail significantly hampered her ability to move in such a way. Still, in her eyes, it had paid off when she spotted a target! A Buddy Ball Buddy to Be! But not before its wobbly eyes first spotted her – a big, shuffling pile of red fluff pretending to be stealthy.
For a moment, Ruby locked eyes with the creature – and then it fled in a spooked hurry! “What-- Hey!!” Ruby yelled in disbelief, “You can't do that! I was invisible!!” Deeming it a breach of fair play, Ruby unwrapped herself from her tail and set in pursuit. She dashed as fast as her legs would go, all to try for another encounter.
As the creature charged them, Calliope panicked. The stealth had not seemed to work at all! What was she supposed to do? "Oh, right, mmhhmm." She reached to the pack behind her and pulled a Buddy Ball from the side pocket, chucking it at the creature. Accept it was the bait... "Oh, no, mmhhmm! Or, wait, I suppose it's fine, mmhhmm!" She reached again ensuring she had the right item this time, hurling it forward with the gusto of a scholar who'd never exercised in her life. "I hope this works, mmhhmm!"
"Aw man...I totally flubbed it." The Buddy Ball shook twice before the Buddy was released from it, completely unperturbed. "Aw well, I guess I'll just move on...Time to try and find a different Buddy! I'm sure there's more than just Lightning Buddy's around this Tundra area." So Kuro abandoned her goal of trying to capture that particular Buddy after her failed attempt, and went in search for more Buddy's in the snowy Tundra.

Once he was able to separate from the stupid windy boi. Izuru went back on the prowl for another Buddy to add to his collection. Stopping his sick ninja run for a moment to begin searching once again. Touching the sand and looking around his surroundings for the little creatures who would aid in his ascension as the very best that ever was.
