Finished [Durban - Otenzian Empire] Crisis by the Oasis

Kiyo winced once again as the creature hit the two. Suddenly, a blur Shot Past Kiyo’s Vision, and before he knew it, the beast was decapitated. He blinked in surprise and amazement at the skill the woman displayed. Kiyo could not help but smile as she reminded him of his sister, who was much like her in terms of skill. “wow, incredible” he said Happily to Vaneri. “ You have incredible ski-” she left before he could finish his sentence.

“Oh! Yes, of course” Leo responded to Moo with a smile. He then gently placed his hand on Moo’s chest before channelling healing magic into the bright green seed. Green, yellow and white energy spread across Moo's body from Kiyo’s palm in soft waves, finding and healing all his wounds inside and out.

He turned his head to Alveira. “AlveiraI, I will heal you next…” he said before glancing over the rest of the people in the cave. “...I am happy to heal everyone that needs it”

as the beast dies Alveira drops to the ground exhausted, breathing heavy. she moves a hand over her face to hide her displeasure with how she was unable to as told. she soon moves her hand away returning her calmed expression.
"thank you for the example" she says to the two scouts.
"thanks kiyo for the worry, yes it hurts but were safe for now so only heal it if you think it prudent."
Alveira soon gets up still clutching her shoulder and collects the fragments of her weapon and armour looking hopeless as she sees the damage
 
While the trio settled down post-battle, Perry quickly finished sterilizing the cave off the salamander's poison. Then left with the group. Vaneri had just finished tying the severed head to her saddle. Without a word she rode ahead of the rest of them.

Both the scouts, along with Moo, Alveira, and Kiyo, were greeted by an odd sight. An imperial soldier, along with a few more people were tending to the ill and cleaning the sickly purple and red off the streets. The soldier picked up on their arrival when Titus greeted them. "Thank the Gods. You all made it!" The soldier silently greeted them with a gesture.

Vaneri then walked to stand before the soldier and the village leader. "This thing was our problem. Perry and I took care of its poisonous filth." The beastkin emphasized the names she mentioned strongly. Perry was quick to follow up in order to avoid prolonging this too much. "We followed the trace of a wounded beast after finishing it off. It led us to the river's cave. Two egg sacs and their temperamental mother was our issue. Eggs were incinerated and the water was sanitized. Cleaning duty here should do the trick." With Vaneri smugly side-eyeing the foreign trio, she lost her chance to bash them publically, settling with not crediting them at first to diminish their efforts. Meanwhile, Perry voiced a thought that he had struggled with. "Never seen something like that thing here though..."

"Of course not." The leader of the aid interjected calmly.

After clearing his throat, he elaborated. "A vyrden cave salamander. They love humidity, cold, and darkness." he placed a hand on the severed head, inspecting the cut made by Alveira "None of which are found in a desert. So they would avoid places like this at all costs. It likely was pushed to the desert by some competition and managed to survive until finding this cave you speak of." The soldier nodded to himself and returned to Titus' side. "I see. Thank you for the insight..." Perry stated, contemplatively. With his lack of knowledge biting at him in his silence.

From there, the Certago reinforcements continued to assist as hours passed by. Alveira, Kiyo, and Moo were each handed some coin by one of the imperial soldiers, rewarding them as promised. Then were sent on their merry way. Their job was done.

The group gathered to aid a sick traveler, who revealed to be the elder of a village stricken by a mysterious illness. The group went to help the village rid of their issue, which stemmed from a contaminated water source. After following the trail of local scouts looking for the root of the poison, they arrived to a cave where a beast had made its lair. The beast's eggs were the source of the issue. After killing the beast and purifying the water, it would seem the village was on its way to recover.

- Certago: A coastal settlement located in the southeastern shores of the Otenzian Empire. It has a sizeable port that feeds two rather busy market streets. It is relevant enough to afford professional entertainment, offer quality housing, and have a fragment of the army stationed in it.
- Durban: Located somewhere near the center of a small desert known as the Durban Dunes, the village of the same name was built around an oasis fed by an underwater river. The only real road to and from Durban was lost to the war and then more so by the Hive
- Cave Salamander: The distinction comes from these creatures always being born from egg sacs their mother lays in dark and secluded places with a source of water. As such, caves are their top choice to leave their poison-coated egg sacs. Nimble on both ground and water, to the point their tracks could fool any unaware hunter into deeming them smaller than they actually are. Depending on the variant, they may have poisonous saliva and metallic structures covering parts of their body. They live on the eastern half of the continent, mostly on the southern and central areas of the Otenzian Empire.

Certago might work in building a road to Durban in order to offer better assistance, should it be needed in the future. However, it's far from a priority currently. Occasional patrols are the more immediate measures.
