Michael returned to the grassy fields. The breeze was nice. He smiled as it gently blew against him. He would keep his eyes to the skies expecting to see some buddies gloating through in time.

As the man in armor tread across the dune like sand, he might realize that the artificial sun did a good job of baking him inside his armor. Eventually he came across a small wading pool with a turtle like creature floating in the pool. Relaxing and enjoying the peace of a gentle life.

(Throw a ball, bait or a rock. Really the rocks seem a bit much don't you think? Or run. If you're a chicken. Bawk bawk! Hehe don't forget the D10 !)

As John carefully chose his path across the igneous rock and basalt; he would come to notice that he was being tailed. A shadowy figure flit from one shadow to the next, watching him as he journeyed deeper into the volcanic area. No sound came from the creature, not even the flutter of wings.

As the black cat attempted to find a buddy, she came to a shallow wading pool, where another armored man appeared to be. Not the same one apparently, but possibly just as crazed with heatstroke. There were a couple of turtles lazing about in the water.

As Izuru found his footing along the solid rock, trying not to fall into the lava; he came across a shy looking rhino creature. It seemed a little shocked at his sudden appearance and stared up at him with wobbling scared eyes. It let out a sad tooting noise. "Fwyuuu"

Happy with the results he got so far, Adelhein would look around the volcanic area and notice Lauren still 'squaring off' while trying to capture the small fire monkey. Approaching her slightly, he would speak from behind her. "These little familiars are more agile than I had suspected." He would comment, having both his Metallumino and Flamurillus following him. With his crimson eyes narrowing, he gazed at her little target. "Don't lose heart, however. Took nine attempts to get the metallic one. Meanwhile, I got the fire one after Saber here almost crushed its cranium, while throwing a metal-reinforced rock of my own creation. Maybe you should consider throwing one at it, makes it easier to capture it." He offered the advice according to his own experience, leaving the silver-haired girl to decide to take it or not.

"Well, I will be returning to the laboratory and probably head towards another area. It was a pleasure to meet you, and I hope we cross paths once more." Nodding slightly, the teen would turn around, beckoning his Servant to follow him as he left the Volcanic zone and going back to the laboratory. There, Adelhein would simply snag 10 more buddy balls along with 1 bait, not really wasting too much time talking with the professor. There was still much to be done and he didn't want to waste time.

Saber Alter inclined her head politely to Lauren in lieu of words before turning to follow at her Master's heel. Her armored boots tread heavily but purposefully across the shifting volcanic terrain.

Though she had played her part in helping Adelhein capture targets, Saber Alter's mission was far from over. She remained vigilant, alert for any lingering threats amid the roiling environment even as they made their way back to the laboratory hub. Years of experience had honed her instincts to an acute level - she would tolerate no danger to her Master so long as she drew breath.

Reaching the relative safety of the laboratory, Saber Alter allowed herself to relax her guard, if only fractionally. Her golden eyes swept calculatingly over the magical devices and holding chambers, filing away any details that could later prove tactically important. Mysteries still lay in this realm, and Saber Alter distrusted leaving any aspect unanalyzed.

Only briefly did she acknowledge the professor as Adelhein resupplied, impatient as always to continue fulfilling her purpose. Where her Master led, she would follow without hesitation - an unstoppable force devoted entirely to his protection and ambitions. Their exploration had only just begun, and Saber Alter stood ready to face any challenges the realm might present through sheer force of will and arms. None would stand against her so long as her Master desired victory.

As Michael passed the threshhold of the grassy fields the first thing he noticed was that there seemed to be some stormy clouds not so far off. In fact it almost appeared as if part of the thunder cloud had broken off and was now drifting closer to him, with an ominous buzzing noise. "Bzzttzzzzzz"

Next, Adelhein chose to head towards the Mesa zone. Reaching the place, he took a moment to look around the landscape, noticing its shallow vegetation. While the temperature was still hot, it was certainly not as hot as the Volcanic zone was.

Adelhein searched for a little while, until finally spotting something: it was a small creature, maybe around 3ft or 3ft and a half tall at maximum. Looking like an amalgamation of rocks and mud, all stuck together, along with a pair of cute mossy green eyes which stared at teen's crimson ones. The little bugger would bellow, "RAH! RAH!", looking more adorable than dangerous. It was almost like a chihuahua or another small dog, trying to make themselves look dangerous, despite not really offering any danger. It charged Adelhein, trying to headbutt him. The young magus, on the other hand, simply raised his eyebrow, looking at the absurdity of it.

Scooping a rock from the ground, he would, once more, use his magecraft (Elemental Affinity [Metal] F), to strength the object, handing it to Saber. "Try to hit that little familiar's head. It worked last time, it might work once more."

Saber Alter regarded the strange rocky creature with her usual implacable expression, observing its attempts to appear threatening. When her Master suggested subduing it with a thrown projectile once more, Saber Alter acquiesced immediately.

Weighing the metal-infused stone in her hand, she took aim with her usual precise form. Years of combat experience allowed her to calculate trajectories and targets with minimal margin for error. Unaware or not, this creature had offered hostility towards Adelhein. That was reason enough.

With a practiced flick of her wrist, the makeshift missile hurtled towards its target. Saber Alter stood ready in case the throw missed or only partially succeeded. Nonlethally striking the creature down could shock it into temporary submission, making capture far simpler for her Master.

Her crimson eyes watched impassively, calculative mind gauging likely effects and follow-up actions. Whatever assisted Adelhein's mission and protected his person was her sole concern. She required no other purpose or motivation other than fulfilling her oath to her Master through strength, skill and unwavering determination. This strange realm held mysteries, but none would stand in her way.

"Prepare for your greatest moment, monster!" The creature's head jolted back from the uppercut. Gilgramfried's technique was clean and honed through years of monster slaying.
There was no welp or cry of a wounded animal. It gave him nothing in return. No jest of pain or even a flinching blink to satisfy the warrior.

The monsters neck strained back into place and faced the human with intense eyes. Validating that this was going to be a fight for their lives. An extreme exhale through its nostrils intoxicated the air with lacerating winds. Blowing the warrior 20ft away with just a simple breath. Rolling into a recovered crouch.

The beast despite it's size and weight blitz forward. It's mass and speed matched a tsunami, with a grand claw it crashed a tidal slash towards the human. Uniting accelerated wind and water into a sonic projectile crescent shaped blade. "HOLY-"

It's quite hot.

His vision began to blur, as salty sweat dripped into his eyes. Tuft! In one swift, he stuck the armor piercing spear's butt into the ground. And it stuck straight up into the air, freeing his hands.

Those who appeared to come with lighter clothing were apparently much better prepared than he was for the task at hand. This armor became like unto a pot or pan, baking him from within. The wind seemed to be not enough to truly cool him. And it tempted him to at the very least, be tempted to take off one such piece of said armor. His hands began to slowly reach into the helmet to undo the leather chin strap.

The helmet slowly began to come off, until....

It's that cat.

With a clank, he affix the helmet back into place. He blinked rapidly to clear sweat from his bloodshot eyes and to allow his vision to clear. Soon, he saw the black cat and more over, a pool in which just exactly the thing he searched for were lazily drifting about. He didn't seem to be too delirious quite yet. But he did seem to be instinctively shy about showing what was underneath the helmet at least. This however, did not prevent him from putting his reservations aside and focusing on the goal at hand.

"Well, if it isn't the great sand-castle destroyer." It was probably the first sentence he'd spoken since entering this place.

"Good luck." He said, simply and almost...anti-climactically. One being's prosperity need not be another's suffering.

He saw no need for a weapon at the moment -- which remained stuck in the ground next to him. Instead, he pulled out his buddy ball and hurled it at the floating creature.

As Saber Alter launched the rock infused with metal towards the Rock buddy, the little creature stopped its headbutt charge immediately. It appeared its animal instincts had kicked in at full force, changing its movements and running away, in a blink of an away. It looked like the little bugger was even faster than Adelhein had expected. With that, the teen would search the area once more, looking for another buddy.

When searching, Adelhein would come upon another Metal buddy, just like his Metallumino. "Shoo! I already have one of you!" he said, in clear dismissal of the little creature, not interested in going after one he had already captured.
