Fantasy Anything Goes

He walked out of the café with a proud smile plastered onto his now-exposed mouth.

"Heya lady." He approached Victoria with a wrapped up square of fudge in his open palm.

"Sorry to be such a pain in the ass earlier. I'm kinda mean like that sometimes."

Victoria looks at him and forces a small smile. "I just get defensive when people point out my...condition," she says, not knowing what other word to use. "Sometimes I can't help when it happens and I lose my temper."

He watched the girl move, never once showing a single expression on his face. To an outsider, he would've almost appeared bored. "Continental, if you have one, please. Preferably with lay lines.", he stated plainly. He didn't show it, but his senses quickly picked up on over a dozen things at once. The Titan behind him. The girl outside, making a sketch of his bike. And the troublemaker in the cafe had quite the sweet tooth. And none of them were what they appeared to be. Perhaps little brother was right about this place after all. First he'd have his map, then he'd fetch the bike and find a quiet place to sleep for the night. The rest, he'd sort out in the morning.

"Hey, I'm a Shinigami. It happens." Zodiac shrugged and put the fudge on her hand.

"What are you? Human maybe? I can't tel-"

Zodiac is cut off by a man faceplanting near his heeled boots. Zodiac couldn't help but burst out into uncontrollable laughter. He slapped his thigh and hunched over. "I'm so sorry, I-Its just too damn funny..."

"Continental," She mumbled to herself as she ducked back down behind the desk, digging for the map. Once upon a time the maps were sorted, but after Mr. Renolds tripped on Duchess they had become nothing but one large pile. Aileada rushed to find a map as the man seemed to be quite bored with the situation already. Luckily she was able to find one and hand it to him. "Here you go," She said with a smile as a strand of red hair slipped in front of her face. She left it though as it wasn't too terribly important.

As Aleada handed the white haired male his map Hunter caught a scent of wolf on the man and decide to pursue his newly formed theory "So you been around the world?" he asked

Ronnie ,taking Victoria's hand, stands up, nose broken and bleeding, from the fall. He adjusts his scarf and asks zodiac, "do you have a tissue I could use for my nose?"

"Hee Hee...Nah, but I do have rags I use for stuff. Careful though, this one might have my blood on it."

Zodiac hands Ronnie a rag with a strange dark stain.

"Best I got." Zodiac shrugged and turned back to Victoria.

The slightest hint of a smile flitted across his lips, passing as quickly as it appeared. Accepting the map, he slipped three gold coins into her palm and brushed the lock of hair from her face. "Thank you, Aileada". He said as he turned and walked through the door, ignoring the Titan. He had bigger fish to fry. Tightening his gaze, he turned to the trio in front of his bike and zeroed in on the masked lover of sweets. "Hey. Mask." He called out the the figure, firmly set on settling this loose end as quickly and calmly as he could. "Move, and I'll patch him up". He said, tucking the map into his back pocket and pointing to the rickety side cart. Whoever or whatever this thing was, it was obscuring his path, and he'd need a first aid kit to bandage and splint a broken nose.

Ronnie takes the rag, uses it while he cracks his nose back into place, "all I wanted was a double shot pumpkin spice latte...."Ronnie says

Victoria watches the owner of the bike. She feels her shoulder blade twitch again and begins to panic slightly. It shouldn't happen again so quickly. Maybe the man with the motorcycle would get her out of here.

"Heya, white hair dude. My name's Zodiac." He flashed a grin and lowered the mask back onto his face.

"I gave the dude my blood rag. He'll be kay." Zodiac shrugged and dusted off his cloak.

"Hope you enjoy the sweets, lady." Zodiac waved at Victoria and walked to a nearby bench, bored.

A glint of fury flashed through his eyes as the masked man walked away. Shrugging off his temper, he moved to the cart and fetched a medkit, gesturing for Ronnie to remain still. "This'll take a second, so hold still. Infections suck". He said as gently as he could manage. In his head, a waterfall of profanity roared like a wildfire. "Damned troublemaker. Ever heard of germs?" He thought to himself as he knelt down to render aid to the injured fellow.

Aileada looked down at the gold coins and was surprised to feels the mans finger tips brush along the side of her face, pushing the strand back behind her ear. A shiver ran down her back. Her face flushed at her subconscious reaction. She shook her head trying to shake away her embarrassment before walking back over to Hunter. She watched the white haired man walk out the door and towards what she assumed was his bike.

"HEYA DUDE KEEP THE BLOOD RAG AS A PRESENT!" Zodiac yelled. "A FAVOR FROM THE REALM OF THE SHIINIGAMI!" He waved jovially and sat back down, feeling a little hyper from his sweets consumption.

"thanks for patching me up" Ronnie says, "a shinigami huh? I thought they were myth, well I guess people think my race is fake also...."

"So, Aileada how have the years been treating you, cause you don't look like the little girl I used to know" Hunter asked with a smile on his face

The wolf simply nodded as he stowed the medkit back in its place, and turned his attention to the girl who'd been drawing his bike. "I can wait until you're done". He said in a kind tone as he lit a fresh cigarette.

Zodiac shrugged and crossed his legs on the bench. Zodiac tried to say something witty, but all he could muster was an unenthusiastic "Meh."

He checked the time on his pocketwatch and shifted his arms under his cloak.

Aileada thought for a moment. What had happened in her life worth mentioning? "I guess everything's been pretty good. I haven't traveled much outside of the city, so I just stay here and read books." She laughed softly. "My life's been pretty boring. But what about you? I remember you moved away. How long have you been back?"

Ronnie went and sat next to zodiac. "so you're a shinigami huh? People say you don't exist, I know that feeling, I'm not really human."

Zodiac lowered the pocketwatch and looked up at Ronnie. His mask slightly crooked, he looked at Ronnie from head to toe. "If you're not human, what the flippity fuck are ya?"

Zodiac raised a bandaged palm.

"No offense."
