Fantasy Anything Goes

"Well after I moved to Mississippi I got real bored fast" Hunter started "so after I graduated I decided to travel the world, been around it three times, I met some interesting people and learned all sorts of things," he continued, having started to pace around, "Soon I decide to come here for a while, maybe live here again." He said finishing his summarized story "but I can't find a place to stay, you wouldn't happen to know a place?" He asked with an almost sheepish look.

Ronnie looked at zodiac trying not to laugh at 'flippity fuck' and says"I'm a time lord, I have two hearts and can regenerate my form when I die"

Victoria's shoulder blades twitch again and she feels her wing beginning to emerge from her back. "Do you think you could just get me out of here? I need to get out of town. I'll tell you everything you'd want to know about this place."

"Oh...Interesting. I have a heart, but it's cold as damn hades. And it doesn't beat that often. To top it off, I'm ageless and I never really die. I just exhaust bodies."

Zodiac taps his chest. "I only exhausted one, and I've been in this one ever since."

"danm..." Ronnie says silently then turns to zodiac"this form has been through alot already, I might regenerate...i was shot, recovering, have cancer, kinda recovering was stabbed, some what recovering and now a broken nose....yup this body has been through too much abuse i am going to regenerate in a moment I can feel it......shit....." zodiac may notice Ronnie is starting to have a golden glow around his hands.

The wolf nodded as he handed her a helmet and a pair of goggles, silently climbing onto the bike and firing the engine up. "You'll want those." He said as he snuffed out the cigarette and waited for the girl to climb on. He was itching to get away from the area and find some peace and quiet. He'd talked too much already. Revving the engine a few times, he took one last look at the bookstore. What the hell had he been thinking, touching someone like that? Mentally kicking himself, he fixed his gaze on the open road and silenced all other thoughts.

Zodiac mills through the pastries in his basket. "Wait..."

He looks past Ronnie and spots the white haired guy and the weird girl, who seemed to have a new set of appendages. "Oooh..." Zodiac said in interest.

"I wanna tag along." He stood up by the motorcycle and looked at the driver in a strange way, before sinking back into the shadows, giggling,

Victoria puts on the helmet and goggles, then get on the bike behind him. "I'm Victoria, by the way," she says over the bike.

Aileada nodded, enthralled by his tales of adventure. "I wish I could go around the world," she drifted off in thought, but snapped back hearing mention not having a place to stay. "Well if you were only staying a short time I'd suggest the hotel, but it's been pretty packed recently. For more long term I'd suggest an apartment, but I don't know how much money you have." Her voice trailed off. Her green eyes then flicked up to hold his gaze. "I have a spare room in my apartment. If you want you can stay there while you figure put how longer your staying."

He nodded and revved the engine once more, pausing to introduce himself. "I'm....Just call me Jack." He said as he gradually eased into first gear and pulled off, heading towards what appeared to be the open countryside.

"Really you'd let me stay at your place while I figure out my housing?" Hunter asked with slight shock, and begun to think about it 'I don't want to be a burden.... But I don't have any place else to go' he thought "Ok I guess I kinda have no other option but your place, but I insist on paying some form of rent or something." he said with a tone of finality.

Zodiac sighed in disappointment, he lifted his mask off of his face and reappeared in an alleyway. Nowhere to go, no place to stay, and a perpetual darkness of his past always looming over him he felt his face, and put the mask back on. Looking around, he was relieved no one was in sight. He walked back into the building. The dark haze of boredom and indecisiveness hung over his head. He sat down, barely paying any attention to anyone around him. If there was anyone at all.

She let out a soft laugh. "How about you can help me cook, because the only think I can make is a bowl of cereal, and maybe you can tell about some of the things you saw on your travels?" She didn't want him to have to pay her, honestly she thought it was a great opportunity to catch up with him. It was better than the usual, silent days spent doing nothing except read and write.

He checked his wallet, a fortune, but he didn't want to spend it on some dirty, piss-soaked duplex or condo room. He turned his head hearing a conversation between two human-ish people. He decided since they were talking about spare rooms. Intrigued, he seemingly drifted on thin air towards the two. "Say, uh, lady. You happen to have a basement? Crawlspace? Closet? Anything will do if it's a room. I can easily sustain myself."

He thought a moment about the arrangement and nodded "Deal" he said holding out his hand to shake, he then noticed the masked guy Zodiac ask if she had a basement and Hunter just looked at him like he was nuts. 'insane human' is the conclusion that he came to about zodiac

Aileada looked over at the man, he wore a mask with a strange symbol on it. Her paranoia quickly kicked in, arguing that letting a stranger who wore a mask into your home was basically asking to be murdered. She felt bad for judging him so quickly, but there wasn't a shadow of a doubt that she wouldn't let him stay with her. A smile stretched across her face as she remembered something. "Actually I know somewhere you can stay. The man who owns this building, Mr. Renolds, he has a spare room where his son lived before he moved out and he's always looking to help others. Before I got my apartment he let me stay there. I doubt he would mind letting you stay there."

She turned back to Hunter and shook his hand, but kept her grip on his, still hesitant and afraid of the man in the mask. Aileada was only human, she didn't have any means of protecting herself so her paranoia and intelligence was her protection.

Noticing the fear in Aileada's eyes, Hunter decided to change the topic "Old man Renolds still owns this place?" he asked "I thought he would've given it to you by now."

Zodiac stopped floating and his feet landed on the floor with a 'Tmp'

He sighed and brushed aside the greasy bangs that hung over his mask.

"An old guy? Are ya sure me and this guy can share the room? I kinda want friendly interaction with with people like me. You guys are the closest thing. What a way to shun a Shinigami 'Renolds'. Ugh, I can live in a large closet, it's no big deal."

Not letting Hunter's hand go, Aileada looked down. She didn't know what to say. She didn't want to upset the man on the off chance he became completely depressed or entirely enraged, but she didn't know him. "I-I don't know," She mumbled, her words barely audible. He had said no to staying with Mr. Renolds so what was she supposed to do?

The motorcycle roared to life as he hit the accelerator, zooming through the English countryside. After some time, he pulled over near the bank of a river and silently dismounted. Turning to Victoria, he struck a match and lit another cigarette, soghing softly at the dwindling supply of nicotine. "This llok like a good spot to rest?" He asked, noting her stressed expression. Perhaps he'd riden a little more urgently than intended.

Zodiac felt a wave of guilt wash over him when he saw the girl's troubled expression. "Sorry, it's just I never really had friends, y'know? Demons don't get much fame or attention around here.'

"hey listen, Zodiac was it?" Hunter said "Old man Renolds is a nice guy you show him respect and you won't have a problem with him" he told Zodiac

Zodiac grumbled.

"But he's not like you guys. You guys are totally like-minded and cool. I'm also afraid if I ever stay with Renolds, I'll accidentally give him a heart attack."

Victoria takes the helmet and goggles off, then climbs off the bike. "It's good enough," she says and winces. "I just...need somewhere...where I won't hurt anyone." Large black wings sprout from her back. "Just...stay here."
