Futuristic Agent of Maniacles OOC and Characters

I have a novella/novel I've worked around for awhile. It could work in an RP, though..if some stuff was changed. Well, the world. But the world was underdeveloped. I could never get the book off the ground. I hope to return to it someday.

WORLD/Story - Set in the fairly distance future where technology has finally reached the singularity and beyond. Semi-sentient humanoid androids are used by the government to capture or kill the most dangerous criminals. Every state as its own certain number of droids. The androids lead SWAT units or other military type operations. Analyze the battlefield, plan out attacks, calculate odds of success. They aren't truly aware. They only have their defined purposes in mind. The droids. Civilians are not allowed access

No internet anymore. not as we know. Only The Monitor. An extremely powerful AI that exists inside every television, computer, phone, or body/brain type programming. The Monitor is constantly taking in all the traffic that goes through the virtual world. It watches, gathers, and passes on the data. It is also used to consult in investigations and spy on the public.

Things kick off when Androids start acting out and or vanishing when sent to pursue a domestic terrorist called Prometheus. The first one who went after him never returned, the second went crazy and killed her whole team before being brought down, one after that vanished, another one after that vanished, but has been seen with Prometheus since, and the most recent once returned back after failing to catch Prom, but killed himself soon after.

It makes no sense.

But it does to Prometheus. This man holds the key. His touch can awaken the human emotions and selfish desires in the Androids. They can wonder, dream, feel, hate, and love when he makes contact with them.

If you're going to revive that and turn it into an rp (which I STRONGLY encourage you to do) please let me know. I've been trying to find a good futuristic roleplay but its really hard.
I think the story has a lot of potential. Maybe Prom unintentionally makes the androids realize that they like having feelings and they eventually turn against humans. Maybe some androids with feelings feel bad for humans and want to protect them. So many possibilities...


I want to know more...

Oh I know why Prom does it.

Thank you btw! The whole point of the story is like one android's journey and self discovery. I really only made the world to tell that story. Not to say I'm opposed to make an RP of it. It would def fill out the world more. But it's a very almost Pinnochio inspired story. But...it didn't click. So I put it in the slush pile until my brain and heart were ready to write it. I'm writing crime fiction stuff atm.
