Me defeating him on new game plus. the key is to evade in, not away.

but dude he is insane, then he changes into second phase
I remember getting him to like 1% of hp bar and then he killed me. Gave up after that

also u can stagger him with your pistol

annnnnd if he's really fucking you, u can stun him with the music box the little girl gives you for like 5 seconds.

trust me u can beat him.

I'm into Octopath now, trying to beat final boss
That shit is insane, has a 500k hp pool, summons 50k adds that blocks boss's weakness and you gotta beat 'em at the same time to break it. Boss regularly deals 2000+ magical damage to entire party, inflicts absolute poison (which deals heavy hp damage, mp damage and bp damage), can inflict confuse, silence, blindness, poison, fear into one character, drains MP. Oh and once you lower its life to half, it revives the 3 adds, gives them rotating weaknesses, and if you don't kill em fast they self destruct against party. And that's just first phase

Gotta add, before Octopath's final boss you gotta beat a gauntlet of 8 bosses.
If Final boss kills you, guess what, you gotta do it all again
