Fantasy After the Gods

Tony woke up late, curled in the back room of the coffee shop on the sofa. He groaned softly, pushing himself up. He shook himself, and quickly sorted himself out, before wandering out into the coffee shop, greeted by its owner, who simply patted the tired boy on the back

Homoura sighed, she'd gotten caught up in some chaos downtown earlier and was rather disheveled because of it. Aria had moved them to another city again and within her first week here thing were already blowing up. She needed to relax right now, Aria had signed her up for a local school but she didn't start until next week, so she'd been spending her time getting acquainted with the city. Looking down the street she spotted a coffee shop, pushing the door open she approached the counter and paid the owner for a cappuccino, afterwards taking a seat, groaning exhaustedly as a boy exited the backroom.

Tony rubbed his eyes, and got to work, tongue between his teeth in concentration as he made a perfect cappuccino. He'd been doing this so long that he didn't even have to think about it as he walked over to the girl, placing her cappuccino in front of her with a polite nod. He wasn't meant to be working today, but the other worker hadn't turned up, meaning Tony had to. He needed the money anyway

"Thanks" Blowing on the drink before taking a sip, the rich flavor coating her tongue quickly, swallowing she smiled, the warmth of the drink helping her relax "It's really good, my compliments to the brewer". Looking around the cafe she noticed there weren't too many people around, probably because of the ruckus earlier, just her, the owner and the man who had brought her her drink.

Tony smiled slightly at her words, and rubbed his eyes again. he blinked as a cup of coffee appeared in front of him, held by the store owner, "Go on. You could use it" was the only explanation before it was handed to him, and he nodded, taking a long sip and humming in appreciation. He leant against the counter as he drank, keeping an eye out for more customers.

Finishing her drink Homoura stood up, intending to take the cup to the counter before she left, she'd worked in a cafe once before and had hated it when people couldn't be bothered with the 20 second walk to the counter to return their cup and just left it on the table. Around halfway though, she tripped plummeting to the floor in a glorious manner, landing directly on the cup, causing it to shatter under her weight "Dammit... Sorry" Trying to get back up she noticed that she'd cut herself on the shards, her hand now lightly bleeding.

Tony rushed forward, "Its ok" He said softly, helping her up, though not touching her hand. He looked over at the manager, who nodded, brush in hand. Tony nodded back, "There's a first aid kit in the back. Come on" He said gently, leading her toward the back door that he had earlier emerged from

"Thanks" Following him towards the back room Homoura looked over her hand, the damage wasn't very bad, nothing a bandage couldn't fix at least. "How much do I owe you for the cup?" Sighing a bit, she was a little low on cash, Aria having decided to buy an appartment when she'd moved them here she barely had enough to the drink. Dammit, she really needed to find a job, otherwise she was going to be eating cardboard within a few days.

"Nothing" Tony replied casually, "Accidentally dropping a cup is something I've been known to do myself, and we have a large supply, so don't even think about it" He told her. He failed to mention that it had only been a few days ago that a group of teens had decided to use him as target practice, using the cups, and they paid, made to by the owner.

Spotting the first aid kid Homoura began working on her wound, wrapping a short sheet of bandage around her hand. Thank god Aria was dormant, if she'd seen that she was never going to hear the end of it. "I was pretty surprised this place was open, with all the stuff that went down earlier I expected all the shops to be closed already" Finish up with the bandage, securing it in place with a pin she returned it to the box "Thanks for letting me use that, are you sure I can't do anything to pay you back?" She knew she should just take their charity and leave, but they'd been so kind and she couldn't help but want to repay them.

Tony shook his head, "Someones got to give people coffee." He chuckled softly, and looked at her, "I told you you don't have to pay for the cup." He replied, tilting his head

Homoura smiled, people were so generous nowadays, back when she was 10 which, thanks to Aria was around 13 years ago, you couldn't so much as drop an egg without someone wanting you to pay for it. "Well I appreciate your generosity then, I'm a little tight on money so god knows I could use it." Dammit, she hadn't meant to let that last part slip, her financial issues were no one else's business and she had no right to go complaining about it to others, all that time Aria had been spending in control must have been affecting her somehow, she was normally better at holding herself back than that.

Tony nodded to her, "I know how you feel" he replied, notin tht he should probably clean the back room. On the sofa was a make shift bed, the one Tony had rolled out of this morning. He rubbed his eye with a soft yawn

"Well, Unless you need any help I need to get going. I just moved here so I've been exploring the city for most of the day" Smiling sympathetically as the man let out a yawn, she herself was pretty exhausted too.

Setsu sat in the garden outside the library reading a book on demons. She was extremely nervous and jumpy plus she wanted to see why she was getting that vibe from Phenex. She flipped through the pages of the books thoughts flashing through her head as she did.

(I finally have wifi~)

Haruka finally finished all of her snacks when she found that Setsu had gone off somewhere. She sat down next to the tall male that had greeted them before (@Jofune Tsurabisu ). He seemed tired, and knowing she would only get lost if she tried to look for her pink-haired friend, she pulled out a book to read.

"Shadow what?" Misafune asked curiously to the girl sitting next to him. Realizing that Pinkie had left them. "Pfft, a knife. I made a bus...." then it really dawned on him before he could finish speaking. He really made a bus turn to sand. No magic trick, where the bus will roll around the corner good as new, but a really big pile of sand.

"Ugh......" Phenex says rubbing his face in anger, he hated his boss, he was a jerk but he did have to save his sister so he was gonna do something stupid soon....really stupid. Phenex just sat alone in a classroom in the corner phone near him but in the doorway, he was watching it wondering if it broke, he hoped it did then it buzzed on the floor again and Phenex started to swear covering his face again angirly....he was on the point of snapping, this guy was ruining any chance he had to gain there trust, he kinda did not care because he wouldjust have to go in shadows blazing now that they all hated him but for now he would wallow in his own self pity.

Setsu realized that she was alone and she ran back into the lunchroom. She saw Haru and sat down next to her looking around. "I can't believe I was out there by myself. I'm dumb sometimes" she said still looking around

Haruka smiled at the sight of Setsu. "I was wondering where you went," she said. "What were you doing?"

Haruka tucked her book back into her bag. "Did something happen?" She glanced at the male, wondering if he knew what happened. "'Ratted you out'?"
