She was relieved that Nick hadn't pried any further into her comments, that he hadn't even tried to break down her walls. He understood what boundaries were and that he shouldn't push them. Once her bags were all at her disposal she only nodded to Nick. She didn't care about missing her first class. She'd get caught up later, that was the joy of first class. Notes would be helpful though and he was offering them to her, "Sure, your notes would be helpful. I'll see you around." She gave a slight nod of her head and then she watched as he left before she began to fully unpack herself. It was quiet as she did her unpacking, most everyone else was in their class. She could only muster a small smile of amusement. Being a good student, why try hard to be a good student? She pulled out a picture of her family and looked at it before she set it next to her bed putting the picture face down. She didn't need to be reminded of that and she knew she was stronger if she remembered that she was better on her own than with a family who didn't want her.
Time was rolling by as she unpacked and she knew she wouldn't be going to her first class so instead she thought about wandering around a little. Her stuff for the most part was unpacked so she didn't need to worry about finishing later. She had missed the building and just wanted to take in the full atmosphere before she had to be a student and do work. Right now she could just meander the halls and let the fact that she was free from her mother sink in.
