Fantasy Academy Of The Forest(OPEN&ACCEPTING)

Cassia
She was relieved that Nick hadn't pried any further into her comments, that he hadn't even tried to break down her walls. He understood what boundaries were and that he shouldn't push them. Once her bags were all at her disposal she only nodded to Nick. She didn't care about missing her first class. She'd get caught up later, that was the joy of first class. Notes would be helpful though and he was offering them to her, "Sure, your notes would be helpful. I'll see you around." She gave a slight nod of her head and then she watched as he left before she began to fully unpack herself. It was quiet as she did her unpacking, most everyone else was in their class. She could only muster a small smile of amusement. Being a good student, why try hard to be a good student? She pulled out a picture of her family and looked at it before she set it next to her bed putting the picture face down. She didn't need to be reminded of that and she knew she was stronger if she remembered that she was better on her own than with a family who didn't want her.

Time was rolling by as she unpacked and she knew she wouldn't be going to her first class so instead she thought about wandering around a little. Her stuff for the most part was unpacked so she didn't need to worry about finishing later. She had missed the building and just wanted to take in the full atmosphere before she had to be a student and do work. Right now she could just meander the halls and let the fact that she was free from her mother sink in.

Dan pulled a piece of paper out out and walked up to the plants and took a deep sniff. He knew most of the plants by smell because they grew out in the woods where he lived, he even used a few too cook. "Ummm....I think this one was called rosemary." He mumbled as he wrote down the names. He turned his paper in as he stuffed more jerky into his face. He then turned around and walked back to his seat.

Enzo sighed as he walked alongside with Nimbus past the school gates,He cursed "I am, so late." Move in was scheduled for a few days ago, and it just so happens that Enzo couldn't leave the underworld for at least three days because of some stupid traditional holiday. "Stupid goat worshiping, old, spider faced demons." Nimbus growled next to him, keeping pace quiet nicely. Enzo chuckled at what Nimbus had said "Me too buddy.." He gripped the piece of paper tightly in his hand that contained his class schedule, his roommates and his room number. He sighed once again, he had three other roommates. "Great, just... great." He cursed again.

He finally found the damn building and room after much searching, Nimbus snickered next to him. Well, as much as a tiger can, laughing at how stupid Enzo looked, searching for this place. "Shut it you stupid tiger." he received a growl in response. "I am already three days late, I dont need the attitude too." He shuffled his bags on his shoulder, fumbling for the key. "Well, here goes nothing" he inserted the key into the lock and upon hearing a click he turned the knob and swung the door open to the dorm.

Araluen’s chest tightened when she realized she was going to be late to the first class on the very first day. After the small shadow elemental had dashed off ahead of her and James became preoccupied with Lucille, she had slipped off to Dormitory One, Room Fifteen. As she had begun to unpack her belongings and put them away, her mind wandered, and she lost track of time.

Pressing her fingertips to her forehead, she closed her eyes and then pinched the bridge of her nose, not believing how much of an idiot she was right now. Late on the first day? How could she have not watched the time? Anything, anything, would have been more preferable than this.

Ah, well.

She remembered exactly where the herbology classroom was, especially since it had been one of her favorite classes last year. It would not disappoint this year, she knew. It didn’t take her long to arrive and dread filled her when she saw that the door was already closed. Should she knock? Should she just go ahead and enter? Last year, she wouldn’t have allowed this dilemma. Biting her lip anxiously, she made up her mind and twisted the handle, pushing open the heavy door. Her eyes scanned the classroom in absolute horror as it was filled almost to the brim with students, already sitting at their tables and desks. Some milled around a couple of tables at the front of the room covered with numerous plants while others sat at their desks, writing away.

There weren’t many available seats left. Embarrassed, she glided to the first empty one she found and took a seat, hoping desperately that she had gone mostly unnoticed or wasn’t the only one late. Judging by the scene before her, their first task of the year was simple; examine the plants on the two tables up front and list them. Araluen loved nature, the outdoors, and gardening, so this would come easily enough for her. Dropping her bag in her chair, she headed up front, trying to blend in with the rest of the students.

The numerous aromas put her quickly at ease. From the floral thyme, to the woody and piney rosemary. Smiling, she took notes in her mind to write down on paper, back at her desk, but for now, she would bask in the wonderful scents that reminded her of Summer.

Alli was quite satisfied waiting for the next part to the lesson, presuming that the lesson wasn't 'look at these things you don't know about', scratching the spider who seemed satisfied...for a spider, that is. Suddenly, however, she looks up in pleasant surprise to see one of her friends approach her - Lucille. She met her around a year or so ago, at the school, and soon enough became quite good friends. "It still amuses me how weak some mortals are - they die if they eat a flower." She chuckles, as Sin starts crawling up Lucille's arm - sort of a sign of affection, as Sin is surprisingly intelligent, as it makes strange clicking noises. "So, how've you been?"

Lucille watched the skullspider climb up her arm. Had she been afraid of spiders, this would have freaked her out. Luckily, the reaper wasnt and therefore, she could smile at the little being. THen, she looked back at her friend. "Oh well, deadly i guess? Pretty boring. I didnt do much and i didnt meet anyone. And now i come back to herbiology, so it continues to be boring. " She sighed, resting her head on her hands. "But i can meet my friends again and im more than happy about that. I missed talking to you guys so much!"

motheal stopped writing and closed his journal seeing as there wasn't anything more going on during class and he seemed to finish the assignments with ease so he packed up his book bag. he started to walk away and then noticed his roommate araluen had entered the classroom as he was preparing to leave. he approached as he handed over a extra set of notes to her knowing she was late and it was a attempt to be friendly."here, these might be useful..i made a you extra copy just in case...i'm thinking about heading back for some self-study until next class period since i finished everything." he told her then simply walked away opening a portal for himself as it opened above enzo as he stepped through. Moth dropped through landing right on top the poor guy with a thud as the portal closed.

*Svetlana stood up and carefully made her way to the front desk, moving slowly, checking each place where she stepped before moving, wanting to be careful not to step on any toes, she manages to make it across the crowded classroom and put her notes down on the table, she was pretty confident that she got most if them right but wasnt sure about all of them, she made her way back to her seat and sat down again, watching the happenings if her classmates to see what they were doing, hoping to get examples*

Aeri Nahkir
In a Sentimental mood soothed the indiscernible chatting from her ears. She looked around and saw that Motheal talked and offered his notes to a short and delicate girl she hadn't seen. She was visibly pleased to be in class, to see the plants in front of her eyes. "..elf-study until..." she wasn't very good at reading lips, but she guessed the man would go at the library or something until next class. Well, herbology was already pretty much over, the only ones who stayed were either analyzing the plants closely or talking with others. She took a discreet look around her and saw another demon -she wasn't sure about her race- talking to a grim reaper. The room was very crowded and Aeri didn't dare to look at everyone around her and catch unwanted attention.

Ellington's jazz ended with a final piano note and Mood Indigo followed it with blue notes from a trombone, followed by a nostalgic clarinet. She was a little tired, but the room around her was too loud for her to catch some sleep. Looking at the plants again, Aeri's mind focused on what Motheal had told her before. Now that she thought about it, were plants really that important in the magical field? It was needed for potions and the like, but not for every spell in existence. Maybe he specialized in that kind of magic. The man was intelligent, no doubt about that, but she knew that with enough study on her part, she would beat him in herbology easily. He only corrected her for three plants, not the entirety of her list, and his notes only had a more detailed explanations than hers. It would be easy to surpass him. Speaking of which, she still had no idea where her dorm was. It didn't matter that much, she would figure it out on her own. She stretched her arms, yawned, took her bag and began to walk towards the door. Aeri took her leave and wondered through the halls until she found her dorm. Her eyes searched through the multiple door numbers until she found her own. Sadly, she wasn't alone. Aeri had little to no idea who would be with her, but as long as they kept it this silent, she wouldn't mind their company. The angel hybrid laid down and closed her eyes in hopes to get some rest before the next class began.

Araluen offered a gentle smile as she took the offered copy of notes from Motheal. “Thank you,” she said, watching as he turned and opened up a portal. A delicate brow arched in confusion as he dropped so clumsily through, which drew a quiet chuckle from her. Glancing down at the copy of notes, she scanned through them briefly with her quick eyes. There wasn’t any information written that she didn’t already know, but the gesture was a friendly one. A few more moments were spent with the fragrant herbs before she made her way back to her seat, tucking the notes into her bag and fishing out her own notebook and writing down the identification of the plants, as had been asked.
Once finished, she tilted her head up and gazed around the classroom, biting on the end of her pen in nonchalant thought. Only a few classmates were familiar, so maybe the rest were new, or maybe she just hadn’t paid close enough attention last year, which she did regret but intended to turn around this year.

Kieran(2nd year-Werewolf): There was a lot of noise going on in the room and it was hard to focus on the teacher. Even though Candy was here, he still didn't see Nick, and he kept looking behind him. It was really distracting every time the door opened and he watches a strange centaur walk into the front of the room. She had a horn on top of her head and realized she was also part unicorn. He was a bit impressed and in awe, never really seeing a creature like this before. He would ask her about it after class, curious about who she was. Kieran was pretty sure she was a first year. Though he didn't know the entire school, he was sure he would have remembered her at least. Kieran stops gazing at her and focuses back on the teacher. Kieran was able to hear all of Jonako's comments though. He listens to Jonako's uses for the herbs and found it really interesting. "Wow, I never really heard of those uses before," he whispers to him. He could hear chattering throughout the classroom but wasn't really sure how Mrs. Fontaine would take all of the noise. TheCrowKing TheCrowKing (Mentioned: Midnightchan123 Midnightchan123 BloodWolfRising BloodWolfRising )

Candy(3rd year-Human):
After taking a decent look, touch, and smell on all of the herbs, she sits back down. She writes down the name, scientific name, the conditions best to find them, and where they were most likely to grow. She got all of the right and wanted to write more but figured she could just use that for just her notes. She begins writing down all that she knows of each and every herb before looking up. She was quite impressed with the flower Mrs. Fontaine has made and says quietly to Kieran, "don't you think Nerrezza would love that?" She mentions their younger sister, a pang running through her. Candy hasn't seen her in years but knew roses were her favorite flowers. She looks over Kieran's work, which had the minimal information as well as some answers wrong. She sighs but doesn't complain about it. "Are you done with that?" She asks him and slightly turns her head to look at Jonako. "I can take up your's too, if you want me too," she says with a soft smile. TheCrowKing and RacingBloodWolf mentioned.

Nick(2nd year-Human): He smiles when she agrees to take his notes as well as seeing her at the meeting before he officially turns around and heads off to Herbology. He wasn't sure how long the first class lasted but maybe it wouldn't be that bad. He felt happy, glad that in the end Cassia let him help her. Maybe he could try to break that shell of her's and help her out even more. But for now, he would have to book it to class and he walks at a brisk pace to the classroom. At least he didn't get lost and knew where it was so it wouldn't have taken that much time to get there. The class was basically full but he was lucky to see that the top seats still had some spots left open. Nick goes to the right side of the room so as to not disturb the other students. There was quite a variety of students and he saw some old, some new. But he would greet more of them later and was able to get a seat on the other side of Kieran. "What did I miss?" He asks his best friend, hoping it wasn't too late.

Nerrezza(1st year-Vampire): She tosses her stuff down the tree, there were basically no more students in the front and she jumps down the tree after her stuff. She lands neatly on her feet and looks over to her shoulder, were Erebus was perched and his claws only dug in slightly when she jumped. But she didn't mind and his claws no longer hurt her. She refused to go to the first class, she wasn't even sure if she would stay here yet and she hated how it was daylight. Unbelievable, what magical school didn't accommodate vampires? Well she had nothing better to do than to explore the Academy now that everyone else was gone. Perhaps she would show up to the meeting and see what this was really all about. Nerrezza picks up her bags and heads inside, glad that at least the sun's rays didn't hurt her on the campus grounds. The place was decent at least and she heads to her room, the room and dorm number written on the paper she ripped up. Nerrezza freezes upon reaching the room. There was someone just entering the room and she spots something big and furry. Before she could make another step, someone falls through the ceiling and lands on top of the other person. She scrunches up her shoulders and jumps over them, sliding right into the room. She could now see that there was a tiger right next to him. Erebus lets out a low growl and shows his tiny sharp teeth, however his tail snakes up in front, his stinger out to attack if need be. She sits her bags down on a random bed. She turns around and looks at the two on the floor. "Well, this is unfortunate. He doesn't really like you and I don't really like roommates," she says bluntly, looking between both men. She wasnt sure if both or only one of then were her roommate but either way she didn't like it. HoneyAsylum HoneyAsylum N Nonexisting

Typically the first day was the easiest day. Today was exceptionally easy, especially for Todd. The notes were simple. Fontaine has set up several herbs on a couple tables and asked the class to lable them. Todd listed all 11 of the herbs correctly. They were ginger, thyme, lilac, chamomile, caraway, basil lavender, lemon grass, mint, sage and rosemary. Although herbology wasn't his favorite subject, he understood it's purpose and studied up on it. After notes were finished, they were to hand in their papers. Todd waited for the initial horde of students who finished to pass so he didn't get trampled. He was surrounded by giants when comparing his height to everyone else's. After a few people went he got up and walked to the front to hand it in. He walked to Fontaine with a slight grin on his muzzle. "Quite easy for the first day, but that's coming from me" he said to the teacher.

Jonako

Head remaining on his desk, Jonako flashed a faint grin in Kieran's direction. "Ah, well." He flushed lightly, resting his eyes as he took in the scents again, his early edge wearing down just slightly. "Back home, my Miss made her living off of herbs and plants. She made certain I knew much about them, so I might fetch her particular ones when she couldn't. The walls were barely visible considering how many she hung and dried. It made it a bit much for the nose to handle, but I didn't mind." He whispered back, lightly chuckling. It was only when a female approached did he slowly open his eyes, looking at her before back down at the empty desk. "Uhm...not to be rude miss, but I'm not exactly here for this woman's teaching. Even if I was, I don't exactly have any paper-" Jonako shrugged softly before glancing past her.

The room was mostly filled now, a few people having skittered in when he wasn't aware. Glancing them all over, he couldn't help but stare at them. There were a few species he was uncertain of, they all catching his eye and drawing his curiosity. Mm, pity he wasn't going to stay long at all. "A few odd ones here, but they all seem interesting." His amber gaze drifted back to Candy and Kieran, they seeming to pose the question: what are you? True, he might could smell them, but that would be rather rude wouldn't? Some were rather obvious, such as the fox with the pleasant, black stockings.

The skull spider, once placed back onto the table, starts crawling up the wall and weaves itself a web. A black, sticky, silk like thread starts spreading from the spider's mouth as it starts to create the web and applies it to the top corner of the room, but as it starts to be placed down strange black thorns start growing out of the thread. Alli looks at Sin as it does so - somewhat hoping no-one tries to clear the web, as she shakes her head. Looking back at Lucille, she contemplated her response. "Fair enough, I guess. I hope the Dragon Riding elective is later - I loved it last year."

Nimbus had just entered the room when a strange...being fell from the sky and on top of the Incubus. He fell to the ground with a thud, being crushed under the other's weight. "What the..." he groaned, clicking his teeth in annoyance. "Get the hell off of me" he shoved the person off of him

He saw a woman standing in the room as well, looking annoyed with him and the other offender. "Great." He muttered in annoyance "Who are you?'" Standing up now, brushing himself off, he examined both of his new roommates. If they were both even in this room.

Nimbus growled softly at the creature on her shoulder "Nim, not now..." he moved to plop his things on the other empty bed.

"Yeah, I know. Still, demons don't do music that good - we do, however, control things quite easily." She says with a smirk, as she looks up at the black web in the corner of the room. "Sigh...I'd better cut that web down before someone hurts themselves on it." With that, she walks over to the corner of the room, carrying her chair with her, she clambers onto the chair and after propping herself against the corner with her wings starts slashing at the webbing with her claws. Even with her sharp claws, the web is surprisingly tough and somewhat elastic and cutting it appears to be pretty difficult. That, and the thorns seem to grow specifically where Alli contacts the web, so she is forced to keep changing her slashing point to avoid the black needles.

motheal exhaled softly getting up and brushing himself off. he shook his head. "i apologize for the inconvenience,it seems i did some miscalculating. motheal was calm speaking in a soft voice that carried only a monotone as he looked up at the two with his lavender eyes. motheal was short in comparison to most around him and he was rather feminine for a guy. "i'm motheal.." he answered as pulled a small bottle from his bag and handed it over to enzo. "here, for any injuries..." motheal told him. moth then noticed a little something of his on the floor,a pair of frilly striped panties and ducked down quickly picking them up with a reddening face hoping the two didn't notice as he backed away. he had no idea how the got off with him still wearing clothing but it was kinda embarrassing. a large shadow started to form behind twisting and make a large man sized figure with rabbit ears and eerie glowing sockets as it started to become a huge mass of darkness behind him.

Luna Fontaine - Witch/Werewolf - Herbology Teacher
Luna took the papers glancing over them, she smiled as Todd told her it was easy. "That's good they are pretty basic herbs to begin with so it's easier to tell who is where... unfortunately we won't be getting into any major herb and plants until later in the year." She turned to the class, "Look I know some of you may think that this class is boring and or useless but it's not. I can show you how to use certain herbs without magic for healing or hurting. Some time you may end up using the knowledge I give you to save someone's life, or to kill an enemy..." Her eyes grew dark and a smile curved her lips as her mind flash back to her father choking to death. She shook her head, "I'll leave you to think about that." Val Shinta - Sabertooth Tiger/Demon
"I knew him when he was a kid...he and i hung out almost every day I found him after leaving my mother's place after her passing...his mother had always been sort of strict and didn't like me and then he stopped coming to see me...his mother found me and told me that Luke no longer wished to see me I waited for two years before leaving and coming upon this Academy...I kept coming back here and finally decided to start going here. It's rather fun when you have such a long life..." He shrugged writing down the herbs he knew all of them, "I just never knew why he had stopped coming out I figured he had grown to hate me now I want to know why his mother's house would be attacking him." Rila Fathford - Dragon Tamer Witch
Rila was watching Thuavin's wings but not his tail. She tripped on his tail and went sailing for the floor, "Ow..." She sat up her face going red, normally she was a lot more attentive to her surroundings. She quickly stood, "I...I am so sorry if your tail okay." Others may have found it odd for her to ask him if his tail was okay but for some dragon creatures their tail was a very sensitive part. She had a small cut on it and was turning the white of her outfit red. She didn't pay it much mind though she honestly hadnt felt his tail scrape her knee when she had tripped on it.

Launet Serfa
She nodded, "Well that's good in a way...oh my name is Luanet...um Lu for short if you prefer." She stood to go hand in her paper and held her hand out to take his if he wanted her too.

Lukas Ivory - Blood Vampire
He wrote down the names of the few plants he knew which was like two of them. He blushed slightly, plants really we're not his specialty. A blood bird formed and carried the paper to the teacher. She glanced over taking it and then watched the bird vanish. "Very interesting power Mister Ivory but next time try not to be late for class and lazy as well." Luka's face turned a bit more red, who was this teacher anyway she looked like she herself should be a student. He quickly smiled, "Now if I had went up there would you let me have some of your blood..." To his satisfaction Luna had a slight flush cross her face before becoming serious. "Please refrain from flirting mister Ivory." "Lukas... just call me Lukas..."

Majorelle Vian

He smiles at the other and hands him the paper. "T-Thank you. I truly appreciate the kind offer." Majorelle couldn't help but wince at the way the other forced a smile. He knew the other was probably just trying to be nice. Yet, Majorelle realized he bit off more than he could chew with his choice in interacting with someone who had their thoughts elsewhere to begin with. Still, it had been worth a shot. He had already failed at interacting with those his grade or younger in the previous years, and with his older friends gone he knew he had to start building new relationships. Lost to his thoughts for that short time, Majorelle regained his senses, catching the last bit of what the other said. "I uh, I suppose so. I don't want to keep you any longer. Thank you once again for taking up my paper for me."

McCartney listened to Val as he spoke about the vampire, tilting her head in curiosity. From the sound of his story, it seems that they had similar childhoods, with controlling parents who seemed to want them dead. Mac shook the thought away and grabbed both Val's and her finished papers, before standing up and walking to the front of the class. She made sure to avoid eye contact with people and keep her hood in place. McCartney hated drawing attention to herself. She paused momentarily as the vampire from earlier used some sort of blood magic to turn his paper in. She snickered slightly as the teacher chastised him for flirting. Mac kept a light smirk on her face as she turned and made eye contact with Lukas before heading back to her seat.

Kieran(2nd year-Werewolf) and Candy(3rd year-Human) listen to Jonako talk about the herbs and they both wonder what he means by 'his Miss' but neither of them ask. "You just write down the herbs up there," he points to the front of the table, answering Nick's question. Nick(2nd year-Human) casually listens to Jonako talk while taking a piece of paper from Candy and quickly writing down the correct herbs. He barely had enough time to finish before the teacher came over and collected the papers. He didn't get the chance to say anything to Jonako though as Mrs. Fontaine began speaking again. Kieran turns back around, feeling bad, and hoping that Mrs. Fontaine didn't mind all the talking. Though he tries his best to pay attention, he kept glancing around, and taps his fingers on his desk. Kieran was still a bit anxious and it was hard to focus with all the soft chitter chatter going on. Candy focuses on the teacher, though she enjoyed listening to Jonako talk, class was more important. Nick could understand the usefulness of the herbs but he leans his head back to talk to Jonako some more. "Why aren't you staying for long? You should say," he whispers to him while paying attention to Mrs. Fontaine. Nick glances over to the vampire that spoke up, the one trying to flirt with the teacher and frowns. He didn't approve of his behavior. Candy also looks over to Lukas, recognizing him as the one that she helped earlier, and gives a disappointing look before focusing back on the teacher. Nerrezza(1st year-Vampire): "Nerrezza," she says bluntly and looks between both males again, or what she assumed were both males, though it could have been possible otherwise. She wasn't going to go into specific details about pronouns and whatnot. "I don't think either of us are happy about this arrangement, but this is my room. Is this your room too?" She asks both of them, hoping that they weren't going to say yes though she suspected the one that got landed on, this was at least his room. She looked at Motheal, who introduced himself and landed on top of the other guy. Nim. That was the tiger's name. Erebus was glaring down at the tiger, growling louder, and she speaks to him. "Relax, they're not harmful." There was a moment of silence in her head before Erebus grunts out loud and stops growling, pulling his tail back behind him. She couldn't be sure if they were actually harmful, but would they really attack on Academy grounds? She doubt it, especially not this Motheal fellow. A quick motion of movement caught her eye as Motheal goes to pick something up, what seemed to be underwear. Though she didn't get exact details of the pair, she could tell it was female's underwear. Motheal seemed embarrassed by it as he then backed away a bit but she makes no comments, she wasn't out to get anyone. Instead Nerrezza continues to look between Motheal and the other, not really sure what to do now. After all, she still wasn't sure if she would actually stay or not. Lukas Ivory - Blood Vampire
He frowned slightly not liking being called by his last name. His eyes wandered to the girl in the hood, the one who had given him her blood. As she went to head back to her seat their eyes met and he smiled. He lightly grabbed her hand as she went to walk passed him, "Can I get your name my sweet?" He asked his red eyes looking into hers. Val Shinta - Sabertooth Tiger/Demon
Val held back a slight growl as he heard his friend refer to Mac as 'his sweet' he and Mac had pretty much been friends since they first met. Niether of them knew why or how they had bonded so quickly but they had. Even though they were just friends he did find it a bit irritating when guys flirted with her.

Jin Soul - Humanoid - Sword and Archery Teacher
Jin was just walking down the hall looking over one of the swords he had made when he bumped into someone. As soon as their shoulder's touched a light exploded in the hall. "Wow!!!" Jin turned to look at the person he bumped into, "YOU'RE A LIVING SWORD!!!!" Jin couldn't contain his excitement as he looked at the kid before him. Taelonthesands Taelonthesands
