Fantasy A Time of Kings

Looks at the two quite startled "I-. I'm sorry..." she says this sheathing her sword. "Who are you two?" She starts to stroke her horse and makes a worried look at the two of them "Names?"

Alger lies on the ground, his wounds bleeding. He had covered his chest with his hand. He looks up at Ambriel, a painful expression on his face. "It's a- a werewolf. They're cur-cursed humans who transform into beasts at a full moon." Alger rolled over onto his stomach and got onto his knees. He reaches into his belt and grabs a large bottle - A potion. He bites the cork and pulls it out. After this, he chugs it down, blue, glowing, liquid spilling down from the corners of his mouth, down to his chin and falling to the ground. He finishes the potion, discarding it in the grass. He gags and coughs. Steam started to emit from his armor, the cuts anyways. He drags himself over to a nearby tree. He ignored the witches words. @keizerin @Stickly22 @Foxgirl Jay

(Okay. Basically the potion was risky, it sends electrical charges to stimulate a process called angiogenesis, which is the development of new blood vessels, which also means it sends more blood to the wound.)

Looks at Alger slightly worried "I'm glad I got here in time... I don't think you would have survived a werewolf attack just by yourself..." she takes a normal bottle of water out and offers it to Alger "This might get the taste out of your mouth..."

Alger quickly took the water. He downs the entire bottle of water. "I would've been fine.." He smiles slightly. He coughs. "Thank you for the water though. The visible wounds had quickly scarred over. He stands up, sheathing his silver sword onto his back. "My name is Alger." He says in a soft, quiet tone. "Who are you?" As he says this, he slowly reaches towards her hood. Being at most 6'9, he towered over here. @Stickly22

Ambriel thinks for a second before answering the mans question. "I am Ambriel. " She responds softly "I hope you are okay...." She moves over to the woman "And what is your name miss?"

As she walked away, Alger couldn't reach her hood. He pulls his hand away and follows her. His armor and swords jingling and clanging as he took each step. He wanted to here the witches name, as he never asked it earlier. He was going to ask it before they had a meeting. Alger's expression changed to a mixture of curiosity and excitement.

The priestess, having watched Alger reach for the mysterious Ambriel's hood, tugs her own down over her face. Her ears were buzzing with all kinds of whispers, making it difficult to understand what any of the spirits were trying to convey, and she almost did not hear the woman's question. "I'm... Ava," she answered quietly, almost reluctantly, "Ava Brennan." She slowly stood, taking great care to lay the dead boy's body back on the ground, and moved towards her wooden staff.

As she moved towards it Alger walked over to it and grabbed it. "What is this? Does it assist you?" Alger holds the staff out to her. Smiling. But his smile faded, as she pulled her hood over her head. He knelt and angled his head upward in attempt to see Ava's face. His eyes were squinted, His swords dug into the ground. As he leaned forward, his swords bent the other sharply, causing Alger to fall foward onto Ava.

Ava mumbled a thank you as Alger handed her her staff. As he attempted to get a better look at her face, going so far as to squat down and try to peer under her hood, she stepped away cautiously until he fell forward. The human knocked into her legs, causing her to stumble backwards and lose her footing. She landed on her back with a gasp, but wasted no time to scramble back on her feet.

Alger fell. He hit the ground surprisingly softly. "Apologies. I tripped." He gets up. He doesn't seem ashamed or embarrassed in anyway. He bows briefly. He then walks back over to Ambriel's side to listen for her name. "Could you show me your face? I don't know why you need to hide it." Alger asked this without hesitation. @keizerin

Watches the two talk with wonder. She eventually wanders over to the body peering over it taking off her hood. "A shame..." she then unsheathes her sword and begins to cut a line across the dead werewolf's neck. "Just to be sure..." she then turns back to Ava and Alger. Sorry if that was your friend...

As Alger awoke, he stretched his legs. He looks around, seeing Ambriel and Ava arw asleep. He quietly gets up, his swords making loud clanging noises. He closes his eyes tight. He then realizes they haven't moved. He grabs his sheathes to stop them from making noise, he then quietly sneaks off down the path to look for food. He had left his sack back at the tree he slept on the previous night. He stops and remembers last night. He then looks down at his healed and scabbed over wounds. He had discarded his breast plate that night, as it wasn't as useful anymore. As he gets further from Ambriel and Ava, He walks normally. He was then stopped by a wall. Alger stumbled, but as he looked back to see what he had walked into, it was normal. It seemed like a regular path. He starts again, down the path. Only to be stopped again. He scratches his head, confused. He starts patting the invisible wall. Every time he made contact, ripples were sent through the invisible wall. He slides along the side of the wall. He then falls through and opening, and then down what felt like stairs. It was dark. He gets up and sets his hand alight.

The area he was in lit up - He had fell into a cave. The walls were engraved with ancient writing. Alger guessed this is what gave it its invisible properties. He continues down the path, deeper into the cave. As he walked, the cave got wider, and wider. Skeletons became visible up ahead, they were propped on the walls like they were sitting. Alger kneels down to look at them. As he inspects them, It looks like their bones, like their ribs and neck were broken - No, cut through. Alger frowns as he looks further down the path. There's a dim red light. A shadow dances across the wall, deeper into the cave. Alger yells, "Hey! Come back!" He gets up and begins running down the cave towards the light. As he approaches the light. He turns down the cave, that had strangely started to look more like a hallway, to the left. He stops at the sight.

It was just a book on a pedestal. Two giant horn like structures of even height, and as black as night. Stood erect from the ground. Alger approaches the book. He grabs it slowly. He opens it. He squints his eyes, the words in the book seems to be moving, swirling. They turned into pictures that were indescribable by words. Alger started to here whispers. He began getting dizzy. He closes the book out of fear, breathing heavily. His chest felt like his heart was going to explode out of his chest. He places the book in his belt and runs back towards the entrance of the cave. He runs back towards where Ava and Ambriel were quickly. "Come with me! Quickly!" He yells. @keizerin @Stickly22

Flutters her eyes slowly looking up to the Alger quite confused. She gets up slowly trying to comprehend what he is requesting. She then finally gets it and begins strapping on her armor asking "What is it? Is something wrong?" She finishes getting on her own attire and tries to wake Ava up by lightly kicking her.

"I've found something amazing! Come with me, quickly!" He runs off back down the path. He arrives at the same cave, which he had marked with rocks before he had left. He hurries down the stairs, back down towards the chamber he was just in. He pulls out the book and places it back on the pedestal. @Stickly22 @keizerin

"Oh? Have you?" She puts her sword in her sheathe and runs after Alger not before leaving a quick note for Ava. She watches Alger place the book on the pedestal slowly with a skeptical look on her face. "Whats this book, is there something interesting in it?" She takes another step towards the pedestal inspecting the craftsmanship of it. "Or is it the pedestal?"

"It's the book. It's enchanted. I'm about to read it, please Shh." He raises a finger to his lips. He opens the book and looks down at the words. "I summon you. I have a quality soul to sell if the price is right..?" All of the lights in the chamber go out. The book disappears. Alger hand was still on the pedestal. A spikes quickly arises from the pedestal, stabbing Alger straight through the hand. Alger screams in pain. The two horn structures in the middle of the room glow, Then, in a flash of purple light. A portal opens. A single man, in full demonic armor, steps through. The portal would close behind him. @Stickly22

The Demon would stand there

Adin was wandering the woods, when he heard a discharge of magic nearby. Sprinting to the noise, he spots a invisible wall, with his well trained eyes. Glancing around he sees a hole, and hears talking from within. Hurriedly he steps down the steps. "Are these the shadows I sense?" Coming to the chamber he sees a man and a woman, and some other figure. Adin just stands and watches, fading into an illusion spell. @Windows98

The Demon approaches Alger. The Demon was about 7'0. He grabs Alger by the neck and lifts him like he was nothing. It was visible that Alger's soul was being sucked from him. Alger struggles momentarily before there was the noise of the snapping of his trachea. Alger went limp immediately. The Demon drops Alger, then looking at Ambriel. He was emitting fear. He walked closer to her, in attempt to scare her. @Stickly22 @The Imperial Flame

Adin acted as soon as the figure moved. Flourishing his rose staff, He cast a voice changing spell on himself and yelled "Lesser Demon, Begone this party is under my protection, I will not allow such insult!" His voice is angel like, womanly, powerful, and loud. With the last word the entire cavern lit up with pure white light. @Windows98 @Stickly22

The Demon didn't flinch at the sudden voice. He was thinking. "Lesser Demon?" He looks at his hands. He clenches a tight fist. He looked over at the source of the voice. He unballs his fists, seeing right through his illusion spell. He flicks his hand over towards Adin's location, sending a force at him with incredible speed and power. @The Imperial Flame @Stickly22

Adin smiled, he knew he was no lesser demon. He flips to the right, nearly getting hit by the attack, and focused on saving the two he casts flash spells, and made illusions of himself to block the vision of the demon. He yells"Run!" @Windows98 @Stickly22
