Fantasy A Time of Kings

The Demon, Enigma, slowly reaches onto his back for his sword. He grabs the hilt, unsheathing it slowly. The ringing noise of it seemed to mute all sound for a short moment. He inserts the sword into the middle of the ritual circle. This sends a discharge of kinetic energy all throughout the cave, waking the undead that rested beneath it, and making the cave itself unstable. Multiple stalagmites began falling from the ceiling. Enigma wasted no more time with Adin. He opens a portal. He hops through it. He appeared in Caed Nua. His sword, being enchanted, appeared back in its sheathe.

The skeletons down the hall suddenly appeared in the hallway, they were unarmed and limping quickly towards Adin. Soon enough, more skeletons and undead followed them. Most of them were being crushed by the rocks falling from the caves ceiling, the rest just kept coming. @The Imperial Flame

@Foxgirl Jay Neither have I, but I'll post now)

Yaro was wide awake. He laid in bed, letting his wounds heal over the night. As morning broke over, Yaro walked over to the inn-keeper, and bowed his head. "I am sorry if I caused you any inconvenience. There appears to be.....more going on then I had been let on. Please accept my sincerest apologies. "Yaro said, before looking around at the room.

Taking a seat near Robin, Yaro sat down, and looked over towards her. "You seem like you just woke up, so this might not be the best time....but I must ask: Can I travel with you, once again?" he asked. "I am a good blacksmith, and You'll need your gear in the best condition if you're going against a tyrant. Add that, but I am a good fighter, and I've learned how to use my skills to my advantage.......I owe this to you, Robin. Let's liberate Hel's Point together. It may not be the old days, but we can still make better memories here. "Yaro said, laying all his cards on the table.

@Sexy McGee (There seem to be two seperate groups. There's the main party, which is at Caed Nua. On the previous page, I did a fair sized post for a time skip. The second party that's formed, which seem to be having some issues, consists of Windows98, The Imperial Flame, Stickly and Keizerin )

Robin had already decided, even before he asked. But still, she let Yaro speak his peace. "I had already decided, last night when I was asleep." Robin won't go in to the details, just yet. "You don't need to try and convince me of your worth through skills. We'll go to this quest together, with the rest of our new band." She was looking away from him, down at the table. Mainly because the bright sun still hurt her sleepy eyes. She yawns again, rubbing the back of her head. "Why you gave me this, I know not. The ring is yours. I still have the one you made." She says while reaching in to her pocket, and placing the small metal band on the table, in front of Yaro.

(@Foxgirl Jay Mako will be with the main group let's just say he fell ill or something)

Mako woke up from his slumber. His head felt like shit due to the sickness he had contracted. He stood up and started to walk, it was sort of painful to walk because he hasn't been walking in days now.

"It was a.....small reminder, of better times. "Yaro said, placing the ring back on his finger, breathing out a deep sigh of relief. Maybe if he traveled with her, he could find some way to jusitfy his existence....maybe even find a way to reverse his un-life, return him to normal. If that were to happen, he'd most likely die of happiness.....better way to die then getting stabbed through the stomach. "Thank you, all the same....now, you're weapon, may I see it? "He asked. He wanted to make sure she still kept it in good condition. The Fight last night might've done a number on it.

"Keeping a reminder of the past is a good thing... but become too attached with what had happened before, and the future ahead will leave you behind."

She presents the sword, unstrapping the sheath from her belt. She's wearing all her usual clothes, just without that familiar bright-red cloak. For such a traditional Longsword, it's a work of art, but not overwrought with frivolous design. Most would say conservatively designed with beauty in mind. The sword is kept cleaned and shined, the blade finely sharpened along both edges. "Why, what of it?" She asks, even though she has no issue showing it.

Adin stood, and glanced at the immobile woman, that had passed out. "Too heavy for me to her carry out, I'll conceal her, and lead the undead away." He said casting the spell. He turned to the undead, and yelled, and shot beams of light at them.

@Windows98

Lanister coughed lightly when he took in Robin's form. He hoped that she was most likely too tired to notice his blush across his face, and he quickly took the sword from her. "Hmm.....This is simple sword, elegant in this form.....without the right materials, I doubt there is much I could do to improve it......obviously, I could add magic to it, but that is your choice, not mine to make. "Yaro said, examining the hilt. "One thing I could do, if you want, is add a crystal in the bottom, at the end of the hilt....If you store magic it in here, you could release it in a charged burst, sort-of like when you put all your strength into a strong-attack. "He said, giving out ideas.

Ava awoke to find herself alone, lying next to the dead boy. She recalls sitting next to the body the night before, making him look much more presentable for the funeral she had planned for him, but she must have fallen asleep. Both Alger and Ambriel were gone, not that she minded, but she could not deny that she was a bit curious as to their whereabouts. She ignored it.

The priestess finished placing flowers on the lifeless body, covering his wounds and even leaving a rabbit femur as an offering of sorts. She prayed for the pitiful boy's spirit for a few moments before leaving the clearing, retreating back into the woods and making her way towards Caed Nua, however avoiding any roads or paths.

(Lanister? :P )

Robin shakes her head. "Enchanting is expensive, and neither of us of us can afford right now, or take the time to do it" She explains away, brushing off the idea for now. Her sword, magic and hand-cannon were fine enough weapons for her. And Robin will not have any arguing on the matter; she's set her mind to that choice. She finishes her morning meal. That, and the conversation was getting her to wake up nicely.

Ava would find the spirits of the woods surrounding the approach to Caed Nua to be young. A battle with a dragon two decades ago saw that the fortress was ruined, and the forest burnt to blackened ash and scarred ground. When the dragon first approached it's breath started a fire that would last for a week, and in the midst of the dry summer, the fires spread quickly and without restraint. But as with any forest that dies to a fire, it only returns stronger, with a fierce vengeance. But not angry spirits, they're solidly calm, and will not bend.

(@Foxgirl Jay Different OC different roleplay xD )

"Fair enough....."Yaro said, eating his own meal. After packing up what was left, leaving a tip of 20 gold pieces, Yaro pulled out his blade, and handed it to her. "Here, you'll find the Last blade forged from Zaterra.....I call it 'Burning Coal'. Enchanted to wield the Element of Fire, Burning coal is the staple of my weaponry, and It is probably my finest work.....Master Zeref would be proud. "Yaro said, remembering his Blacksmithing mentor Fondly. Zeref's work was still prized in many shops that sold them.

"It's a... Well, your sword is a fine looking sword and I can feel how heavily enchanted it is." Robin says to him modestly. She thinks that it's a little extravagant for her tastes, but won't say anything on it. She takes it by the hilt, and hands it back to Yaro, handle pointed to him. But she made it a point to stress that it was his sword. She has a feeling, by the way he spoke to her, that Yaro would try to give the sword to her. Just a feeling though and it could be wrong.

Enigma, curious, was standing in front of Caed Nua. He gets closer to the entrance. He stops, thinking. If he walks in, he might be able to find easy prey. But it could also be guarded. He stands like a statue, debating the issue. (Caed Nua has guards, right? Could you roll play them, Foxy? @Foxgirl Jay )

The guards stand on the walls. During the day time, it's four of them for each of Caed Nua's two gates. Another four garrison the five other walls that make up Caed Nua. Two guard towers at the gates have a couple of archers. Security is tighter, after last nights attack. One of the gate guards spot the sinister armored Enigma. Anyone cloaked of black, looking suspicious or untrust worthy was to be turned away. "Oi, edgy-armored bastard over there! We're not to be lettin' people such as yer'self in the keep! And don't go whining about it, just fuck off!" He shouts. The other guards around have taken notice as well.

As Ava walked, making her way to the bridge that would get her over the river and lead her right to Caed Nua, the dead whispered of their fate. They told her of the magnificent beast who had rained fire down on them, some dying instantly while others would succumb to their burns later. The spirits spoke no ill will towards the dragon, only the truth. They had come to terms with their fate.

At times Ava wished she could see the souls that wandered the land, to speak to them directly instead of eavesdropping on age-old whispers. But alas, such a skill was one she did not possess. As she made her way across the wet and rotting bridge, she closed her eyes and pictured what the forest may have looked like: the land drowned in ash and soot, embers still burning in the charred remnants of trees, while the smell of flesh filled the wind and the roar of the dragon still echoing overhead... What a sight it must have been.

Ava shook her head, regaining her senses and continuing down the path leading to the gates of the once-ruined fortress. She kept her hood down as she approached Caed Nua, staring at her bare feet, using her wooden staff as a walking stick.
