The Fourth Seal
Battles were fought long and hard. In this world, there were some things you could only accomplish with violence. Such was something that had always been said, by people who really had a penchant for exuding their will.
When you’re pushed against a wall and someone comes for your life, anyone would usually fight for it. Prey would fight in such a circumstance, but cycles of life were boring limitations. An animalistic twitch in his pointed ears, eyes tore away from whatever he was focusing on to instead look at the man who had made his entrance through the portal.
He took a look above from the corner of his eye, even as things shifted and the air changed, he didn’t let himself be disturbed. A leg folded over the other as a frown was across his face.
“WE’RE UNDER ATTACK!" Q-Bot screamed shrilly, clutching his square-head as tears hung around his eyes, Lala floated right above him, her hands in her hair as her wings rapidly flapped behind her, “WE’RE GONNA DIEEEE!”
“Kekekekek, I was wondering when this would go to shit,” that was the blonde’s response to the fear of his underlings, he pushed himself to his feet, a casual hand in his pocket as the tiny creatures ran through his legs and knocked his set-ups over, his tiny resort falling apart as drinks spilled across the ground. The stage show disoriented as the performers ran off the stage. Silently, Pei walked over to the television he had set up, pressing a button to let a VHS pop out of its slot, sliding it into his suit jacket. With that he decided to finally look at the situation in total.
A group of killing machines with some old man with tobacco addiction. Maybe back when he had wings he would have some taste in his mouth that would fuel him to poke his eyes out, but he had tossed away feathers for stripes. They were not black and white though, he was a bigger fan of purple. He wasn’t particularly in the mood getting it stained. In this show he was just an extra, his role could be taken by another cast member. Ideally, he would have pushed such a role onto his secretary, but she was occupied at the minute.
“Hey, Shitbot!” Pei ordered towards the oversized piece of junk, the Playmate still occupied the flailing sound before Pei’s words grabbed his attention, “Y-Yes!?” He stuttered out, before a jagged point from his master’s finger and a jovial grin made him freeze, “STOP FUCKIN' AROUND! MODE 3!”
With Pei’s prompt order, Q-Bot’s eyes widened in realization, with an informative nod he dashed over towards Pei, before leaping in the air, “Transformation! Pi-pi-po!” He announced, before his body’s limbs disengaged and his joints changed structure, his body flattening and curling as it looped around Pei, sliding underneath his feet and coiling before it expanded. A metal ball surrounded him, encasing him in protection, Q-Bot’s face stretched across it.
“Pi-po-po! How do you like that? So long as I’m like this, you can’t do anything!” He taunted towards those silent wraiths, a decision that was quickly answered with a series of punches and stabs against the metal, immediately earning a shrill cry from the robot as it was a victim to the brunt of the attacks, the force causing the metal hamster ball to roll around across the ground, crushing everything in its way as it was tossed around. It bounced off the walls as Q-Bot’s screams and Pei’s echoey cackles echoed throughout the room and the background of the battle.
Suddenly, Q-Bot’s eyes quickly gained transparency so one could peer inside, there was Pei, upside down with his back bent in a way that he would surely regret in 20 years from now, a bright grin on his face as his voice projected outside of the metal hull, “Kekekekek. Hey, geezer!” Pei shouted from within his confinement as he twisted his body around, contorted just so he casually rested his arms behind his neck as he grinned, “Isn’t it about time you did something? Or you just here for decoration?”
A bold question coming from a guy who hadn’t done anything this whole time.
