Does anyone know what's going on in Turkey? The military staged a coup is what the news is reporting with Istanbul being closed off to outsiders.
I hear there's a coup going on by the military to "maintain democratic order" or something. Pretty weak excuse as far as they go but I guess they're going for it with the deployment of troops in the capital and shutting down the air and road ways into the city.

Loads of different things are being reported, majority are saying it is not a coup but an illegal military act and the government remains in power. I guess we will have to wait and see though.

Isn't the president, prime minister, or whatever official that's in control of Turkey a horrible dictator that censors personal attacks even on FB and twitter? It seems like you have the established autocracy versus a military dictatorship.

Tanks, jets, and soldiers are reported to be all over Constantinople. I highly doubt this is a small rebellious group. It's Turkey's attempt to save face.

Let's hope it's not those Ottoman fuckers.

He's a mercenary, even as a captain he's not used to having people going to fetch stuff for him, especially his horse since he almost always takes care of it himself. And who was he gonna ask to make the at least 20 minute journey outside the rock to get it? Tidus as they were walking to meet Tiber?
And that's what he offered Kuriva, who insulted him more then once. Even if they came up it could have been cause to negotiate further. And Tiber indirectly asked about Ibben when he asked about allies. He had to say it because as I said if Tiber found out at a later time the reaction could have been as harsh as Tiber's sudden leaving was, only when they likely needed his support the most. Besides if it comes to the point when negotiating with Tiber is more expensive then hiring a faceless man I'll hire the assassin and see if the next lord Lannister was more accommodating
Maybe ask Tidus to send one the men when Caden was waiting for Tiber, which took quite a while.

Kuvira also has actual support in Westeros, I would argue Daenna should have to pay a lot higher price since the chances of her actually taking the throne are minuscule, if Tiber would turn down an ally merely due to a few insults then he's certainly not as smart as everyone is giving him credit for. "Daenna currently has no allies in Westeros, though she is vying for the support of these noble who have a history of supporting her house" if you can get iber to put enough into the war then he wont just pull out when he finds out Ibben are involved, I doubt he'd let his men go to waste. If you can afford to hire a faceless man why wouldn't you send it after Kuvira or Aerea and just have Daenna inherit the throne?

Yeah reports say that it is also happening in the Capital city of Ankara and that the lead general of the military has been taken hostage.

The faceless man would quickly be put down by the shadow assassin, just fyi :P

Something like that. I know they censor the internet but I'm not sure to what amount. It's almost like a smaller scale Syria, where two major sides are fighting and neither of them would turn out very well for the people there (and the one who wins that would be good for people? Too weak yet getting US covert military support. At least I wouldn't put it past the US gov to do that -_- ) Hope the embassy and stuff is alright though, must be on lock down and everything. Maybe I haven't been paying attention but this one came outta nowhere :|

They are saying it is a organised military coup against the facist islamist government.

I dont really know what to make of all this and will likely wait until it is settled and we know everything to comment on it.

Still not used to people doing things for him
Because then I'd need two assassin's lol. And he'd have no guarantee they'd have the support of the Vale or even crownlands. If he had gotten Aerea he might have attempted Kurivas assassination after she left the rock with his 200.

Aww, hiring a faceless man is an official weapon :P , what else am I gonna do if I wanted to kill him, put out a public bounty like little finger so I get killed rofl

Single combat would be your best bet, rather than Faceless men or assassins or something. Hell if the terrain favors you, just pull a Bloodraven and rain down arrows on Tiber. He'll die fairly quickly then.

Single combat would fail because Tiber has Roland or Martyn and would have little reason to accept anyway (unless I convinced Daenna to send Nagito across the sea)

And we're in the Rock, the terrain couldn't favor me less xD

Well, that sounds like a personal problem to me. xD

Cayden challenges Tiber to a duel, Tiber names Martyn his champion. Cayden says he wants to fight somebody else and oddly Tiber agrees. Tiber then names Roland his champion instead and Cayden just runs away.

Cayden has far to many personal problems right now. Maybe I should have Cayden start turning Daennas story towards Westeros so I can get Nagito to help. Also have been really tempted since my last post to have Cayden start planning to overthrow Elia

He leaves for five years and even misses his father funeral. And when he finally comes back he plans to overthrow Elia. How do you even justify Cayden not being a douche to yourself?

You just accept that your character is extremely cruel and twisted, selfish, and perverse.

lol he missed the funeral before he even knew he died, Oberyn also left for Essos for his own traveling time and he's not the only one to spend time in Essos. If Elia plans to sell their family for peace that is not only not certain but possibly dangerous to them for something that many houses might not even want (I doubt any stony dornish house will support even the possibility of serving the stag and theyre likely other houses who want to involve themselves in the war) not to mention technically swearing to any other King or Queen but Daenna is a break in the oath they made to the Targaryens since Kuriva and Aerea are bastards. Yes political marriages are expected but since you guys still call Cayden a pedofile for crushing on Daenna so I can bring up the problems of political marriages and selling your family off for power or peace.

Though if I'm being completely honest with myself @LittleWolfie inactivity and sparsity of actions from Dorne is kind of influencing my choice because I want Dorne to do something or at least Cayden and Elia being able to argue about it

Not saying Cayden isn't selfish, he is. He wants to keep everything he loves and wants at any cost. Perverse is probably true depending in the context your talking about. As for cruel and twisted that's certainly debatable in my personal opinion but your allowed to have your own. We have the guy who ordered his own daughter raped and murdered. Barbra is threatening to send Benji to the wall. Brandeon and Rory hate each other and Brandeon left Astris at the Rock. Baelor dispises his brother. All the Targaryens both bastard and not want to put each other in the grave. Even somewhat happy relationships like Evelyn and her son's @TheFordee14 plans to ruin. Cayden doesn't plan to kill Elia, just remove her from power with as little bloodshed on both sides as possible because he thinks she's putting the rest of the family in danger. Compared to the rest of you Caydens rather tame, especially for someone who spent 5 years as a mercenary.

Well, technically Braedon doesn't know Astris is at the Rock. Only Wendell does :P

Still hates his brother

Honestly one of the better family to have is Tiber and he killed his father which is really really sad considering hes one of the better ones

lol no proof sure.

Still it is believed he removed an abusive parent, promised Celena would never be married for political reasons and seems to respect his family a great deal. He's not the Garry Sue of family relationships or Celena wouldn't be worried about what hed do if he found out she was a warrior but he's pretty good

Speaking of which wandering, will Celena be wandering around in a dress again soon or does she plan to stay in armor a little while longer?
