The White-Gold Tower

The High Queen stood atop the tower at the center of Kalina, eyes closed. The gentle wind blew through her hair, free from her helmet and crown. The air smelled like the pine forests that surrounded the city, as well as the salty ocean around them. Her mind wasn't racing for once- instead, she simply chose to not think. She chose to enjoy the air around her, the feeling of being high in the air, things she would miss in a years time.

Behind her, there was a large flash of light, and the sound of heavy breathing. She opened her eyes, forcing herself to come back to the world of being a queen. "Yes, soldier?" she asked quietly, turning to look at him.

"My lady, I have returned from Orezmoth. The dwarves have answered your message." The courier held out a scroll, sealed with the royal seal of King Wyer. She took a deep breath before taking it, ready for any outcome. Estre nodded to her courier briskly, opening up the scroll he had returned with. Thanks to the magic of portals, he was able to return almost immediately.

As she read over the letter, she calmed slightly. Her offer wasn't rejected, but rather considered. As she finished the letter, Estre turned towards the massive stairwell down the tower, her courier and lieutenant close behind. Kira held a paper and quill aloft, ready to write whatever she ordered.

King Wyer of Orezmoth,

I thank you for your quick reply. I am pleased to hear that you are interested in an alliance. My I suggest that we meet in the Andorian City of Raldbathar? It is close to Orezmoth, and nearly impenetrable. We should have no worries of spies listening in on our conversation. May our possible alliance benefit us both.

Coid ar' ayla,

Estre, High Queen of Andor

Estre sealed the letter with her royal signet, and handed it to the courier. "I trust you shall move with utmost speed. Go."

After a long walk, Lanaya and her soldiers can atlast see the City of Light: Andor. They come close to the gate, and Lanaya steps forward and asks the guard:" Step Away, I have bussiness with Estre. She will not deny my entrance to her castle... Dont dare ask what bussiness I have with her." Lanaya looked back at her allies and said:" Stay here... Ill be back in a while." @Rook

The Gate of Kalina

The guard nearly laughed but kept his composure. "Do you not understand what is going on? Andor is at war. I don't care what your social standing, you shall follow protocol like the others have before you. Even the General abides to these rules," the guard explained. "The High Queen is currently busy with diplomatic matters, but High King Emric is here. We shall escort you to the palace where you can meet him." Nervously, he signaled for the other guards to open the gate, who swiftly did their job, allowing the sounds of the market district to reach the outside. "Come with me, and do not lag behind. Outsiders are not looked upon kindly in Andor." @steevenajj

Lanaya raised an eyebrow as the guard giggled, but said no word as they opened the gates. She realised the citizens' looks especially her purple glowing hands, her psi blades always showing always made her ready for any ambush. She then told the guard:" I follow no rules iam 121 years old, iam thr rules!" She followed him and waited for them to reach King Emric. @Rook

The guard sighed, shaking his head. "You do realize who the Andorians are, correct? The Highborn? The hundredth year is when we enter adulthood. You're rather young compared to many of the citizens." They continued through the city, passing through the market district and entering the Residential area. The city was laid out in rings: the inner ring was the palace, surrounded by a very tall wall. Ten there was the residential area, which was separated from the market district by yet another wall. finally, the market district was separated from the farms on the island by the largest wall. "Do try and be respectful to the King. He may be a human, but Myrah has blessed him with wisdom, and the right to rule us."

They reached the gate to the palace, and were met by lieutenant Kira'thatan. "I am here to take the visitor to the king," he said, his expression stoic and firm. "Return to your post." The guard nodded, turning back and swiftly walking back to the outer gate. Kira turned to Lanaya with the confidence of his superiors. "The King is waiting. I hope I don't have to remind you what will happen if you attempt to attack him." He casually rested his hand on the hilt of his blade. "Follow me."

Lanaya giggled and looked him and said:" If i wanted to kill Emric I would have done it long time ago…but this isnt why iam here...plunge me a hundred and fifty five times and I will feel no pain, you will be the one in pain then.. You can remove your hand off your sword." Lanaya followed him to reach King Emric @Rook

Kira laughed lightly, making sure not to look at the visitor. "I'd like to see you try..." He muttered under his breath. "The king is through this door, in the council room. He may be more patient than the queen, but do not allow your pride to get the better of you. You are in his halls, taking his time. Choose your manner wisely." With that, the lieutenant briskly walked away, towards the Queens-guard armory.

When he arrived, he sat down on his bunk, pulling off his helmet. His long hair fell onto his shoudlers, damp with sweat from the hot weather. First the Angmonians, then the dwarves, and now more elves? How many people did Andor need to be wary of? With a sigh, he lay down, closing his eyes. Why did his job have to be so easy, yet incredibly hard at times?

The Council Room

Emric sat with about 3 of his councilors, talking about how to deal with the nations of there new alliance, as well as their enemies.

"My lord, you can't honestly believe that Sindria, Wendat, and Delvin are open to simply leaving us be," the high councilor said, leaning forward. "We must be prepared to defend out lands- from any nations that attack. The Somalian fleet should be no problem for our defenses, and our legions can handle the Heligs. The Shadow Legion is prepared to sail to Angmon if they attack, and Estre herself is solidifying our non-aggression pact with Orezmoth. But we would be unprepared for an attack from any of our new allies. Dont think they cant see this."

"I know, Harkon. But sometimes you must have faith. People can surprise you," Emric replied, rubbing his temple.

"Let us not forget the fact that there is a Salbarcian in our archives as we speak. What are you and the queen thinking?" the second councilor added in.

"I have not forgotten, Albea. I can feel vile magic from here. But it is the only way to avoid war-"

"War is upon us, Emric," the third councilor interrupted, looking straight into the king's eyes. "You and I both know that your reign is ending soon, thanks to Boethia's attacks and Estre's condition. I know that you wish to do everything you can before stepping down and allowing your son to reign as High King. But if you are careless, you will prematurely cause our demise."

"Ruben..."

They were interrupted by a guard entering the room. "Councilors, High King," he greeted. "There is someone here who would like to speak to you. She appears to be of elven kin, but not of our lands."

Emric nodded, glad for an escape from their conversation. "Send her in."

Lanaya entered the room, the guard hadn't introduced her and so he did it her self " I salute you Emric, for what you have done to this city... Its marvelous!…incase you didn't know me Iam Lanaya the Empress of The almost eradicated Vash Alanour... I heard that a war is approaching your city, and i would be glad to help... I would like to forge an alliance between us... I will offer you a glimpse of the Violet Archives, And merge your armor with MoonStone... You know MoonStone boosts all magical effects you or your allies cast. Us Night Elves have never lost a war... Thirty NightElf soldiers can turn into 150 with just a blink of an eye. If there was a specific nation attacking you, I will open the Violet Archives and just share with you the weaknesses of that nation... The rest would be a mystery to all but me." Lanaya then looked around with her purple glowing hands seeking something to slice, but it was not the time. And so The Templar Assassin waited for King Emric to reply. @Rook

"Thank you for gracing us with your presence, elven-kin. Your offer is most interesting, but..." the king trailed off. Emric studied the empress, trying to figure out what her motives were. Why would she suggest an alliance if she didn't ask for anything in return? He sat back in his chair, mulling over his options. Ruben, Harkon, and Albea watched him, waiting for the king's response.

"But where is the honor in such a form of fighting?" Emric continued, standing up. "I am interested in such an alliance. But i, and my people, value honor above all else. They believe that their weapons and armor are mere tools, but they are the true weapon. They have crafted their own sets of armor for centuries, and will most likely be un-open to the idea of modifying them. But that is a trivial matter. What are you expecting from this alliance, may I ask?" Ruben seemed to relax slightly, sharing his fears were shared by his king.

[Eldan: Andorian Archives

@Rook ]

Eldan refilled the book cases with the finished books carefully, making sure to return them to their previous positions. It had taken a majority of the evening, but Eldan had gone through the majority of necessary volumes within the public archives. He had skipped over exactly three that were more centered around semi-myth, but mostly because they collaborated with what he already knew and offered only miniscule extra details. Attempting to pass into the rest of the Archives had come to mind about halfway through, but Eldan dismissed it due to the sheer amount of effort the task would require.

Besides, what he originally needed was given to him already.

And then there was the foreign magic in the vicinity, Feasili was usually the go to guy when it came to detecting unfamiliar magic. It wasn't really Eldan's fort'ei, but even he could feel this.

He assumed some ambassadors were meeting with the local royals... understandable.

He exited the Archives, finding himself immediately flanked by an escort... also understandable. Now that the necessary reading was done, he'd need to inform one of the upper echelon of where he'd be during the hunting portion of his stay... Just to be considerate.

Now if his deduction hadn't failed him, and it never has, then he would find such individuals in the direction of the foreign magical presence.

Arriving at the entrance of the Council room, Eldan wasn't quite surprised to find his path blocked by more Andorian guards. They mentioned the importance of the meeting occurring within those doors. Hearing the situation Eldan' escort immediately joined the guards in 'insisting' that Eldan halt till the occurence was finished... again... understandable.

Far be it from him to intrude his current host's "private" business. He folded his arms and leaned his head back, he could wait.

Lanaya narrowed her eyes and looked at the king and said:" The weapons that me and my kin hold take for more time and work than what you hold, she raised her hands... I have all the elements in my grasp a dangerous mixture am I right?... Well since Vash Alanour is running very low on resources we would like half of the profits you get out of this war... With us you will not lose this war." She then leaned on the wall and said:" Me, the empress is here and no seat is to be offered?" @Rook

"Oh, please, where were my manners. Guard! Get the empress a seat," Emric ordered, and one of the nearby guards jumped to his task, bringing in an extra seat. "Now, please, sit. We have much to discuss."

He looked down at his map, locating the Empress's lands. The north... They had no touching borders, nor any existing trade routes. What was her end-game? Emric took a moment to form his reply. "First, i would like to bring up this armor... dilemma. The Andorian soldiers view their armor as a personal accomplishment. They even engrave their Clan Crest into the side of the helmet. Its very personal to them, and they will most certainly be un-open to altering it in any way.

"Also, i would like to address this 'Violet Archives.' I have no desire to catch a glimpse of the weakness of my enemies, although it is tactfully sound. I, and my comrades, value honor above all else. What is the point in a fight if it unequal?

"Finally, i must admit that your request is ridiculous. What are we to make from this war other than the death of my people, and the loss of lives? Andor has seen war for far too long to expect any reward from such a thing. Based on your age, I believe you were still a child when Andor rose to glory through the fires of war. Do not believe yourselves to be the only ones to have never lost a war, for our people are more than happy to remind you of their history.

"So the most i can offer you is a non-aggression pact. Andor will stay out of your lands, if you will extend us the courtesy of staying out of Andor. Would that satisfy your... desires?"

Lanaya had a feeling that Emric was starting to decline her offer but nicely, as the seat reached she sat down and said:" Iam more glad to have such honor as an ally, I assure victory... Well we NightElves are known for our sneakiness, we do have honor but our feminine fragile bodies obliged us to seek critical hits, Well I should be going now. When you need me just let go of this Night Owl, and it will do its job in a jiffy." Lanaya stood up and said:" If you pleade I shall leave this room, me and my soldiers have a long journey back home." @Rook

Emric nodded, his eyes tired. "If you wish, you may take a few of the horses from our stables, if they would speed you along your journey. They are of fine lineage, and should do you well in the future," Emric offered, leaning back in his chair. Suddenly, a guard walked through the door, bowing swiftly before speaking.

"My lords, the Salbarcian scholar has come to speak with you."

Emric nodded, rubbing his temple. When did he become a judge? He once again put on a face of strength, as was his duty as king. "Send the scholar in. He is the guest of my wife, and I should not delay him entry to the council. Ruben, Albea, Harkon, you are dismissed. I shall handle this alone." His advisors nodded, standing up at once and leaving through one of the many doors out of the room.

[Eldan: Outside The Council Room

@Rook ]

"The King shall see you now."

Those words made Eldan level his gaze and fold his arms behind his back before rolling his shoulders a bit to relieve some stress. He nodded to the guards as the doors opened and he entered. He glanced over to several others who were already exiting before tilting his head to the side passively and approaching who he could recognize as the Andorian King. He looked him over once quickly before removing his own headpiece and tucking it under one arm before speaking.

"Good evening Your Highness, if your dear wife has not told you yet allow me to introduce myself properly." he said with a small bow "I am Eldan, high scholar of the Salbarcian Hive. "

He straightened up once more before continuing "Now as I'd hate to take up too much of your time, I shall get right to my reason for requesting a meeting such as this. I have finished my research of the Public section of your Archives and, as settled with your lovely wife, my next course of action is to be escorted to several varying patches of wilderness to do some light hunting to properly study the local wildlife. As I'm sure it may be concerning, I wrote a list of those areas I will be perusing through with those escorts and wish to gain your approval specifically before I set off."

As he spoke he retrieved a small list of several woodlands he had pinpointed in his studies, once he was done talking he offered it to King Emric.

[General Vaas: Outside Israeth]

Vaas swished a large amount of blood in his mouth as he laid there next to the giant hole in the ground. He spat out some blood with a chuckle before picking himself up and shaking the dust from his head. He spat out a tooth as footsteps approached, a familiar voice calling from the distance "General? Tell me you haven't gone and broken yourself!"

Vaas rose to his feet with one arm, as the other was currently snapped out of place. In the distance he could see the form of a Beast Tamer approaching, riding on a fast creature. As it came into view, its quick pincers stabbed at the ground it passed over, while two legs on either side of its bloated body raced across the ground towards him.

The Beast Tamer held onto a metallic harness that wrapped around the Creature's body, and was raising a hand to point out Vaas to the creature. The creature closed space before halting before Vaas, the Beast Tamer patted the Fervor's head a bit before dismounting it. Up close, Vaas could see the reddish mist surrounding the Beast Tamer.

"Good, I see she didn't succeed in killing you." The Red Patriarch's echoed from his new host before crossing his arms and tilting his head "You know... most who enter the breeding arena would bring some form of weaponry with them."

"Ha!" Vaas bellowed "And deny her the pleasure of going skin to skin with her competitor? Your Greatness, I try my hardest to be a gentlemen when entertaining the opposite gender."

"You almost killed her..." the Red Patriarch's host pointed out

"Oh pshaw." General Vaas Waved it off as he began painfully resetting his dislocated arm in the right position. Looking in the clenched hand of said arm, Vaas nodded towards the severed forearm of his quarry which was still gripped in his claws.

"Look, she even left me with a gift to remember her by." Vaas stated as he moved the prize to his still functioning arm.

The Red Patriarch's host released a sigh "Just be gracious she survived, I'd hate to prosecute one of my most dedicated. You should learn to be more careful with your dates."

"Whatever," Vaas said as he looked around "so what exactly made you stop for me? I know you didn't think that beast of a female would be able to take me down, and you already knew she'd survive so-"

"I was heading out anyway." The Red Patriarch's host stated, receiving Vaas's confused stare "I haven't been taking trips in a while, now with all this open sky around I thought it would be fun to take a little trip with this body you currently see. Give my body a rest for a small while as I use this one."

"You sure?" Vaas asked as he watched the Host mount the Fervor I know you can just sever your connection with him and all but what's the point?"

The Host paused and stared off for a while before shrugging "I want to take a trip. That is all you need to know my loyal general."

And so the Red Patriarch's Beast Tamer host took off on the Fervor, Vaas just shook his head and sighed before heading back into Israeth.

(So many E names, I keep getting confused)

Andorian Council Room

Emric spoke as he took the list from Eldan. "I do hope Estre didn't cause you too much trouble. She can be... rash. Hopefully, you received little harm." He skimmed the list, looking at his map occasionally to inspect the areas he couldn't remember in his head. "All seems to be in order. I shall assign you an escort- you may leave as soon as he has arrived."

Before handing the list back, he turned to one of the guards, quietly giving orders. "Go fetch a member of the Queensguard. Only one should be sufficient, and make sure he is properly equipped for an escorting mission. He should have the sleep lacrymas, as well as at least two portal lacrymas. Go!" The guard bowed before scampering off towards the barracks.

"Your escort should arrive shortly. Is there anything else you need? Tools, laborers?" Emric continued, turning back to Eldan and handing him his list. "I can fulfill nearly any desire you should have. Just say the word."

The Queensguard barracks

Kira was just dozing off when the guard rushed into the room. He seemed to be looking for someone, so naturally, Kira sighed and forced himself to sit up. "What do you need, soldier?" the captain asked the guard, looking up at him.

"I am here to find an escort for the Salbarcian scholar. He plans on surveying our lands, and Emric has asked that one of the Queensguard should keep an eye on him," the guard answered, panting slightly.

"Alright... Kira, you up for a job?" the captain called back. Kira didn't want to, but he was as good as volunteered since the captain had asked him.

"Yeah, yeah..." he muttered, standing up from his bunk and straightening his armor. "Lets go, guard." He walked out of the barracks, the guard close behind him, and towards the council room. Why did he always get chosen for the annoying missions? Whenever the queen was away, it was always 'Kira do this' and 'Kira do that.'

On the border of Heligdom and Andor

Toryyg lifted yet another huge stone into position. The fort was coming along nicely- it was only a few days time until it would be finished. Walls kept un-climbable thanks to magical oil, archer towers, a huge keep- the two legions should be able to view the entire border from this position.

"If I may ask, General," a soldier began, also lifting stones and painting them with concrete, "why are we wasting time building a fort? Shouldnt we be attacking the Heligs while they are unsuspecting?"

Torryg grunted, moving another stone into position. "I would, boy. But the king has expressly ordered that we not attack until either his word, or the queen's."

The soldier stayed silent after that, knowing that the General did not like multiple questions. Torryg sighed, pulling off his helmet and wiping his brow. The sun was about to set, but the magical fires of the elves would allow them to build through the night. Maybe this war would be easier than they thought.

[Eldan: The Council Room

@Rook ]

After regaining his list Eldan looked to the side a bit before shrugging, he met the King's eyes with his own and replied "Your highness, after how the Queen's meeting with our Archmage seems to have gone I find myself flattered that she hasn't tried executing me. Feasili has the unwanted ability to sour relationships. And our ruler's... distant tendencies when dealing with things personally do nothing to fix our image. I should be the one apologizing to you, your highness, if my mate were demeaned by a prideful twat such as the Archmage I would find myself quite enraged. I applaud the patience of you Andorian nobles, hopefully the lesser scholars will find similar traits in the other nations they visit."

Eldan paused to switch his headpiece to the other arm before continuing "Either way, I don't find anything else necessary. I have the necessary abilities to carry out my studies and I am sure that whatever escort you send will be more than capable of giving me any information that I lack in the subject."

Andorian Council Room

Kira entered the room, nodding briskly at the guards before bowing to the king. "You summoned me?" he asked, head lowered.

"Yes, i did. You are to be Scholar Eldan's escort in our lands. Please, answer any non-confidential questions he has, and be prepared to deal with any threats that come his way. I shall assign the two of you horses for your travels, or a chariot, if you wish. We have the finest steeds in the discovered world."

Kira inwardly sighed. He would have to protect this thing? Before he could get any more negative, he shook his head a few times, forcing himself to focus. This was his sworn duty- to fulfill his ruler's words to the letter. "It shall be done, my liege." Kira then turned to the earth-dweller, keeping a scowl off his face. "After you, scholar."

As the Jason, Alec and the generals held their meeting there was a high pitched whistle. He wasn't sure if the others, particularly the generals, heard it but Jason did. It was one of his scouts. He waited for a few seconds as the scouts whistles continued. Two short and one long. A message.

"I hate to leave but I will return shortly." Jason excused himself, exiting the room and then the ship. He walked down the docks as the scout met up with him.

"Sir I have a letter from one of the andorians, I believe to be one of Estres personal guard." The scout addressing him goes by the name jacjac. We gave him the name due to him being a jack of all trades.

Taking the letter from JacJac, Jason quickly departed. making his way back to the ships meeting room. On his way he read the letter and as he entered the room he laid it across the table. "It appears we are not the only ones with suspicions of these earth dwellers. As far as i can tell the andorians are none too welcoming of them either. Should we send a letter back? we could address it from just myself or from the alliance as a whole."

[Eldan: Andorian Council Room

@Rook]

Eldan nodded before donning his headpiece once more, "I respectfully accept two steeds, my thanks to you your highness." Once he was done securing it he turned to Kira and looked him over real quick once more before turning and exiting the council room "Ah yes, young lad, I'm sure with our combined skill the creatures I have in mind to hunt will be of little challenge."

After acquiring the King's swift steeds, Eldan led the Lieutenant onward to Northern Andor. Soon the two were surrounded by woods that, though nothing compared to the monstrous plant-life in Wendat, still rose forebodingly as Eldan repeatedly checked a map he had copied detail by detail from one of the books he had seen.

"Withenites," Eldan stated after a long period of quiet traveling "a herbivore race of dexterous creatures said to inhabit the Ulken woods of the north. I require the full knowledge of a herbivore, omnivore, carnivore, and Apex Predator. We shall start easy then work our way up over time. Care for a bit of Archery, my friend?"

At the last part he glanced back at the Andorian before turning to steady his steed's direction cautiously.

[Red Patriarch's Host: The Salbarcian Border]

The Red Patriarch's Host, currently a Beast Tamer, rode the Fervor until the expansive desert of Salbarcia gave way to dirt. Eventually the dirt led to plants and eventually woodlands. The Host paused at the trees and took in their appearance before chuckling and continuing on.

"My my," The Host said with the Red Patriarch's underlying voice "looks like this is going to be a very informative trip."

And so, the Host road the Fervor... directly into Heligdom (@Robertaka123 ).

"I know of a few creatures that fit your criteria," Kira said, soothing the beast beneath him. Salbarcians were not a common sight in Andor, and the horses were only used to the scent of humans and elves. "Herbivores... well, we have a few creatures that eat plants exclusively. I believe they are called Oliphants in the common tongue. Surely you read about them- very common, thick skin, 4 large tusks. Cliff Racers would be a good hunt. They are like large birds, but without the feathers. They an be rather dangerous in packs, but a lone Cliff Racer shouldn't be too much of a hassle.

"A carnivore- maybe a dragon? The Red Dragons would be impossible for the two of us alone to take down, but possibly a younger Brown Dragon, which lacks the impenetrable scales of its older cousins. But this Apex Predator... i know of one creature. In the common tongue, they are called Leviathans. They live in the swampy regions to the north-west, and are rarely seen... well, by survivors, at least. Incredibly huge, they're mouths are lined with rows of teeth the size of blades. I would prefer not to hunt one, but... if we are incredibly lucky, we should be able to take one down."

Kira took a long breath, finishing his explanation. Did he really plan on hunting down these creatures? The Oliphant and Cliff Racer should be easy, but the dragon and leviathan were on the total opposite end of the danger spectrum. Much of his own family had fallen to the fires of the dragons, so he knew not to take them lightly.

@GrieveWriter

Eldan took in the info straight-faced, "Very well, we shall make haste to the nearest area known for its Oliphant population. Kill it, skin it, perform my check up then move on to single out a Cliff Racer. I agree, Brown Dragon shall make this go quicker. Now Leviathans, I'm actually surprised you Andorians have similar aquatic behemoths. Oh, this'll be great, prey like this gets my heart pumping fast again."

After speaking he shifted his gaze along the map, then adjusted it a bit with a pen from his satchel.

"There we go, we shan't keep those Oliphants waiting."

He began humming slightly as they continued on their way. (@Rook)
