Anna felt a jostle as the boxes were loaded onto the ship. Sneaking aboard was a simple matter of finding an unattended box, prying open the lid, removing about a third of its contents, climbing inside, hide among produce inside and wait. The box was crammed full of oranges, not that it mattered but Anna was rather partial to oranges so being stuck in the box wasn't all that bad if not for the fact that she has her longbow, a quiver of arrows, a dagger, a cloak and her small traveling pack with her. Besides once the voices outside went away, it was a simple matter of pushing up on the lid and.... Oh? Its stuck. The sailors must have stacked another box on top of this one. A pity. It was a little bit too cramped for her to cut her way out of the box with her dagger, not that she could even tug it out of its sheath. Now if only she had outside help... Oh that's right, she does! Anna slowly squirmed her arm to reach the willow whistle that hung from her neck before raising it to her lips and blowing.

Outside the ship's hold, all hell breaks loose as Matcha, a large rock gecko, came charging up the ramp onto the ship's deck, knocking some sailors out of its way. His giant tongue lashing out in the air as it scurried around the ship's deck before it dove into the ship's hold. There, he
swiftly scurried towards the box Anna was in and nudged it. Anna tapped the sides of the box in response before Matcha opened his jaws and pulled the bow out from under a second box of oranges. Matcha then crushed the box in his jaws to free his rider, splattering juice and oranges all over the hold, and with Anna in his jaws, he trotted out of the hold and onto the deck before depositing a spit and juice covered Anna, pack and all, onto the deck.

"..... Good Matcha...." Anna said softly, reaching out and failing to pet Matcha as she lay on the deck,
squinting at the sun's glare.

Deren had been awake since they had entered the Deathgrin Mountains. His face was covered with little red striped from lacerations by the aggresive hail. Deren had been riddled with discomfort throughout the entire journey. As the group became surrounded, his left hand quickly grabbed the handle of his rapier, his arcane glove at the ready. He shivered slightly as he waited on Baron. He could feel the wolf giving s light, rumbling growl. He slid his blade forward slightly, making an effort to emphasize the metallic scratch, as he stared down his foes.

"What do they want?" He asked Orlando, completely careless as to whether the men could hear him or not, his voice was relatively monotone. 'And moreso, what have I gotten myself into?' He thought, 'I'll have to ask one of the group later, and actually find out their names too.' He waited, unwavering, mostly, showing no signs of fear, unless they thought he was shivering out of fear, which Deren would have found rather embarrassing.

The path to the King of Berserkers

Bringer of War - Nuetral Route

@Clockwork Syringe @xEmoBunnehx @revior @Vulpes

" The moment was a heavy one, Adventurers encircled by these men of the mountains. Though unease grew upon them, blood was not needlessly shed. The large man adorned with a bear's pelt stood at the ready to meet their act of aggression, but was instead greeted with a defensive question. As moments passed in silence even the men lining the circle seemed to share anxious glances to their 'leader'. During this lull of battle they seemed to be losing steel, adrenaline threatening to drain if this period continued. Even the large individual appeared unnerved, unsure as to how this confrontation would proceed. But at last, with teeth clenched and eyes consumed with rage he charged forward, right axe raised as he proceeded towards the katana wielder atop the lion.

Amidst his roar of pain and anger, an echoing snap rung through the mountain's pass. The man's axes dropped, howling in pain as a bolt of light could be seen protruding from his raised arm. "So my suspicions were correct. " A feminine voice snatched the air, one so dominant that it practically muted the berserker despite him still screaming. If one snapped their view to the female they could catch the glow quickly fading from her gloves. She wore a large fur cloak that practically dragged in the snow behind her. Like black silk, her hair rested in a low tail that contrasted the whites, swaying far and wide as every step she took seemed to predominantly spew energy. With focused golden eyes there was no question that she approached the injured man. Flicking her wrist as she walked, her fingers snapped. The weapons the other mountain men held glowed brightly before vanishing within the air, only those the roaring man held remained. "Unsavory turncoat!"

With a burst of light the gloves glowed once more, hands tracing the air as a bardiche formed before her. The weapon appeared spectral, as if no definitive form was truly given to it's shape. However, with ease the female wielded the large twin brother of the axe, and cleaved man in twain. With glow fading once more, the ghost weapon returned to nothingness, irritation remaining evident upon the female's features. "He is a foolish king, at fault only for his generosity. I do ask that you forgive traitors being amongst his ranks. " Her eyes rested upon the Adventurers, annoyance still buried within. "Then again, it's your fault for coming so early that he appears so unsightly. Don't you understand that the Order hates you? Why would you approach a king of an entire faction expecting to reach him without 'their' dogs trying to apprehend you?"

The female released a sigh, turning away as if to refuse a response from the group. Retrieving the axes from the ground, silently looked over them. A dull light encircling their forms before quickly breaking down their physical form. For an instant one could possibly note their newly spectral form, however they were quickly erased once the light faded once more. "See for yourself you ungrateful dullards. The Adventurers are little more 'bringers of the end' than our king." Her voice snapped at those standing idly around, who once stood with bloodthirst. And, without turning around, she proceeded forward. "Alright Adventurers, let's go meet with Rok."

Without answers the Adventurers were drug forth by the questionable female. If one were to question her during the minor journey she would simply ignore them. They were left within the dark, but there was little reason to distrust her for now. With her presence ahead of them, minor glints could be seen within the rocks and cliff faces. Probably other dwellers that lived within these mountain that recognized the individual, passively releasing the Adventurers from otherwise unnecessary conflict like before. Sometimes a few of the younger ones would even make their presence known, idly waving to the travelers as they proceeded. It was surprising to see, as one who knew of the treachorous mountains would not generally relate it to the subject of family or children. This really was a safe haven within this extremely large zone.

Before entering the structure our group of adventurers crossed a threshold marked by two large boulders, each marked with the large red hand print. Within this place the flooring consited of chiseled stone, it's dullish grey seemingly softening the otherwise vibrant contrast of red and whites. More so when the green of plotted plants lined the corners of the entrance room. One really had to question the purpose of this place, it's gentle serenity was far unfitting of an individual known as 'The King of Berserkers'. Was the Rok here truly the same individual that the group met prior? That giant of a man that smashed through a number of Adventurers with overwhelming ease. Sure the scene of the mountains matched one's imagination, but this? As they proceeded through the large structure a number of noteable rooms could be made. Without doors there was zero privacy, including even the washroom, so even if the Adventurers weren't trying to snoop it was impossible to avoid the contents. Training rooms were thick within these walls, children seen with weapons as they were coached and trained. As well, most inhabitants seemed to be female, perhaps due to the males being used for combat purposes. However, internal shop were present, as well various places to get a meal. It was as if this structure contained an entire town within.

At last the Adventurers came to a large open room, a series of steps upon the opposite end in attempt to raise the flooring by a foot. Without a wall on the far side, the room opened as if it were a balcony overlooking the mountains. Surely the view was pleasant, but the cold, biting wind that entered through the opening was somewhat unpleasant to the skin. Where walls were present, murals rested upon them stretching the full length. "Rok, visitors.." The female spoke, bringing attention to the individual who sat in the center of the room. Much like how the far end raised, this central portion sank into a floor of sand. All prior suspicions were forcibly removed, as there the giant of a man sat. His deep, charred-like skin complimenting the rooms scheme as if he were not but a statue. Only the female's voice seemed to awaken the giant as he slowly stood to full height to look upon the Adventurers. " Have you come to challenge me already?" The man's voice roared, though loudly it felt energetically amused. "Truly, warriors of praise! Let us test your might once more!"

"Let's not destroy your home Rok. Besides, I don't think these guys are here to fight you." The girl chimed, a light air of disbelief resting upon her as her features softened. "Were you always so thickheaded, my friend? " With her words Rok's grin lessened, but remained.

Shortly thereafter the female made her departure from the room, declaring that she would be relaxing within the halls. Alone Rok stood with the Adventurers, a generous smile spread across lips as he looked upon them. "You must be in dire need, coming here without intention of accepting my challenge. I welcome you to my domain, and offer you a place to rest after your journey. You are free to use the rooms as you please, and if you see fit, the use of our instructors." Rok outstretched his arms, as if trying to physically display the safety of his domain whilst welcoming them to it.

From atop this structure, the bell doth toll. Resounding deeply within the Adventurers as the cycle was restored.

"With this the Adventurers found a place that proved accepting. An unlikely ally, providing the roof that would begin their new path."

As they reached their destination and after their greeting by Rok, Orlando began to figure out who held what role here, much like in their own rag tag group. Rok was obviously the leader of the berserkers, and it was a good sign that he remembered them. Then there was this new woman who seemed to be his advisor. If he wanted to speak with someone, he would have to speak to this woman who was with no doubt, one of, if not the most, intelligent person in Rok's court. For now that would have to wait as he had a burning desire to see what was hiding under his eyepatch, he had waited far too long. So Orlando then bowed to Rok and spoke, "Our group humbly accepts your hospitality your majesty. I however need to excuse myself for a moment." Orlando bowed again and if anyone was watching sharply enough, they could see a look of worry and anxiousness appear upon Orlando's face. Looking around the place for some sort of reflective surface, he found one out of the way in a water trough that nobody was using. Mustering all the resolve he had, he made sure nobody was watching and slowly removed the eyepatch from his face. Orlando was suddenly taken aback by what had been hiding under the eyepatch for it was not a scar like most would assume. ~Perhaps this might be why all of a sudden new battle emotions themselves are surfacing for the first time. I think my past self was correct in leaving the patch on so I will do that.~ Orlando then placed the eyepatch back on his face covering the eye it had before and then began to find an empty room that nobody was using to meditate on these thoughts.

Kala followed along silently, her mind ringing with questions but she did not ask them. As they entered Rok's domain, she would take a moment to look around and take in the scene. It was very..tribal or so it seemed and it was quite fitting for the man himself. As they finally met with the man, Kala expected his response to be about the offer he made them. As he extended his welcome to them, Kala dismounted Norok and walked toward the giant man; her eyes set on him. Small bits of anger and rage set in her as she looked upon him, the man that had nearly broken her beloved Anguish in two with just his skin. Kala had been so busy with quelling her anger that she didn't see Orlando sneak off to do whatever he was doing. She stopped a few meager feet from Rok and gave him a bit of a hard look.

"I'll take you up on that offer."

She challenged. Kala had been meaning to test her reinforced blade on him, in fact she could remember wanting to face him again after he broke nearly broke Anguish and now that the opportunity presented itself she would take him up on that. Alone. The man may be greater than her power ever would be, but he would prove a good dummy to test the new and improved Anguish out on.

Deren followed along in a dreamlike state, he had a vacant stare, he simply followed with Baron. He felt lost, truly lost, still with nobody to connect with. 'Hell, I don't even know what we're doing here.' He didn't really react to the woman or screaming. Deren regained his composition when he was acquainted with the gargantuan figure of Rok. The reason for having no back wall was beyond Deren, maybe they were too busy being like cavemen to realise that a backwall would fix the problem that made them all look more weather worn than the mountains themselves. He dismounted Baron, resting his head against his companion and passionately stroking the gentle beast. He then let Baron wander off, to DL as he pleased.

Deren bowed great fully to Rok, and quickly headed off to the training grounds, running and shivering at the same time through the badly planned structure. He hoped to be able to spar and become better at fighting, because that was all that the group seemed to be doing at the time. Maybe he could get better at magic too.

Everything is a blur, and his head is dizzy. What happened? He asked himself, but he could not divine an answer. The grayish blue sky can be seen briefly while he struggles to open his eyes and he became slowly aware of the bites of the cold winds. But alas, he found difficulty waking up. The sleep felt so long, a dreamless sleep... No wait, we've been thought this. But perhaps, perhaps just for few more minutes? Not to mention, what of the horror of what awaits upon waking up? That is to say, the spider and the height. Sure, the ground isn't too far away from the top of the spider, but the fact that it's high enough that one's feet are unable to reach the ground is certainly a cause for concern. No, I will sleep, but I will remain watchful nonetheless. And he remained drifting, between consciousness and unconsciousness, each time he was awake his head throbs intensely. That will remind him never to use that name again.

"Perhaps you could wait for a moment, Kala? I have a few questions for this hero here."

No one knows for sure when he had fully woken, not even himself, but he had and he had not forgotten why he came here in the first place.

"It is fine, yes? King Rok. If there are no problems with you, I would like to know more about this Order that's been busying themselves of late, why they had the Denizens attack the Adventurers, and perhaps even where do the heroes stand with them."

More than ever, perhaps even more so than anyone thought Joshua was capable, he uttered those words with polity and meekness.

"I am sorry Kala, I understand that you are itching for a fight and trust me, I would like to kick their asses if I can, but would you let me have this?"

Perhaps too much meekness and polity for him. Now he just sounds like Orlando.

Ashelynn's grip on her beast remained tight, holding obvious unease about the fact that they had left their sturdy footing behind as they climbed the ramp. Every little water seem to unbalance the boat, generating an experience that was even more unwelcoming. Though she heard the heavy footing of Alex as he dismounted, she showed mild hesitation to follow his lead. But, with his words of delayed departure she proceeded in awkwardly dismounting. With legs joined on the left side of the beast, she seemingly threw herself forward as if to avoid it's sharper scales. Her balance was regained quickly, form coming to a still as she remained motionless on this new platform. Though sight was beyond her, sound itself whispered within her ears to serve as a partial guide. The sound of open water guided her across the ship's deck, meeting with the railing that she leaned upon. Though front and back were somewhat distorted, at least the sides of this vessel were apparent.

It was then that a ring pierced her ears. With hands quickly acting as a shield, her form immediately lowered to the deck. That accursed sound was one that was easily recognized by Ashelynn. An individual, one relatively close, has blown a whistle. As if to confirm this suspicion the steps of a beast could be heard clambering aboard the ship. These mounts were given to the Adventurers, and seeing as the Denizens held little reason in repeated summons the chance of their using a whistle were low. Inquisition wasn't even needed to acknowledge the fact that another like Alex was aboard this ship. The only real question was, what kind of fool so outwardly pulls this sort of stunt? Were they attacking Denizens of their own volition? If that were the case, perhaps it would be Alex and her responsibility to put the individual down. It would clear any suspicion that was placed upon them.

Rok stood tall before the adventurers, only really shifting his weight when Orlando stepped forth to represent the group. With a large hand, he lightly scratched at his forehead, seemingly put off by the title of majesty. "Do what must be done." the man nodded, dismissing the apparent leader from his audience. Was the boy's journey more tedious than he anticipated? Perhaps a better welcome would break any tensions that otherwise restricted their interactions? However, that moment of thought quickly broke away, his eyes resting upon the approaching female. Rage seemed to adorn her eye, bringing a genuine smile upon the giant. More so, when her words pierced the otherwise stagnant air that lacked energy. "Yes!" His voiced boomed, a new liveliness taking to both it and his form. The previous arm that was used to scratch his had now raised before him, fist clenched tightly as he held it forward in celebration for her words. "That is how a warrior must be! You have earned my respect, as I will gladly face you!"

Though confidence and joy gleamed so harmoniously within his eyes, a mild tinge of sorrow could be caught to those most gifted. However, all momentum was broken when another spoke. Rok's hopeful eyes gazing upon the next Adventurer that spoke . Were there more warriors amongst this group that would immediately test their strength against his own? Unfortunately, what meant him was kindness and inquiry. A gentle smile replaced his otherwise eager one, respecting those who sought this type of path as well. His entire mass eased, returning to his full height as he stared earnestly at the adventurer.
" I am afraid you are asking the wrong man, Adventurer. Despite my title, I am no king, but a warrior. I am unfamiliar with this 'Order'. They might be the ones that called me down from the mountains in your prior trial, or, perhaps they weren't. " Within a moment after these words he gave a light nod, as if checking his own memory before moving along. " Perhaps my friend has some answers. She tends to travel the world, learning who and who not to trust. That young lady that brought you here, if no one else, it would be her that stumbles upon a group making such dishonorable actions. She does want to 'destroy all unsavory things wrong with this world' after all." Another nod escapes him, head lightly tilted as another aspect shows upon him. Even without words one could tell that he was remorseful for holding little answers to the question placed upon him. "Do inform me if something can be done to make this domain more welcoming to your kind. Otherwise!"

The man's stature restored once more, arms resting at his sides with fists clenched as he looks back to the female.
" I would ask if you will rest before our duel. It would pain me to fight one who only just arrived from their journey. When ready, seek me out in the far south eastern chamber. The walls are sturdier there, as well it gives us more space."

@Clockwork Syringe @revior @xEmoBunnehx @Vulpes

So in the end, it turns out that Rok doesn't have the answer and now Joshua must go to someone else and who knows if that someone else will send Joshua to gather twenty of something before she would talk. How nostalgic, those tedious tasks seems to relaxing and peaceful now, even thought they don't pay all that well... or at all. For a brief moment, Joshua wonders if he'll see Aparches ever again. It wasn't home, but it was the closest thing ever, not that it's saying much. Heck, he even misses the item shop lady now. But perhaps the most important thing of all, the one thing that links all of the Adventurers, the temple resides there. One of these days, they'll have to secure it.

"I thank you, K-Sir Rok. Your generosity is highly appreciated, for taking you time to answer this lost Adventurer and for your kind aid those that should have nothing to do with you. You are a very fine person, I am not ashamed to say that I was wrong about you. I will be taking my leave now if you don't mind."

Joshua bowed with a practiced elegance normally not associated with his character before turning away. It was not simply a gesture out of formality, but of true respect.

Before leaving, he turns to Kala, somewhat fearful that he might have worsen her mood again.

"Um... Kala. Do tell Orlando I'll be late in returning, this may take a while."

He spoke timidly before climbing onto Sleipnir, with the very act of getting close makes his hair stands on end. But he's getting use to it and what better way to traverse the mountain than on a wall climbing spider. He's certainly isn't going to run everywhere.

Now then, how am I going to look for her, thought Joshua before deciding on a direction, I know she has black hair and is a friend of Rok. By the way they talked with each other, they must be close. Is she a hero perhaps? Well, I'm sure someone like that is bound to catch attention.

And so he decides to begin by asking around... though perhaps he should have just asked Rok first.

Still on a spider's back, he went back in again with a reddened complexion and a self-mocking smile.

"Um, yes, sorry to disturb again, Sir Rok, but perhaps you can tell me where can I find your lady friend at this hour?"

After Orlando had discovered what was hiding under the eyepatch, he remounted Asgar, his lion, in his disheveled state, and headed back towards Rok, intending on asking Rok about where his advisor went. As he rode Asgar back to the main throne, he got a few looks of puzzlement and intrigue from the citizens, probably because he was riding a Lion of all things. Soon, he made his way back to the hall and then saw all of his party, save for Deren, probably because he went to go train or something. He noticed Kala's burning aura as well, ~Uh oh, this is about Anguish isn't it? I better stay clear of Kala for now, unless he thought he would do some good by watching her fight?~ Finally, he saw Joshua asking the same question that he was about to, the location of his advisor.

The moment the whistle was heard, Alexander's eyes had snapped open and he glanced over at Ashelynn, already knowing it wasn't her who blew it, but making sure that she was safe. Seeing her lowered form brought a twitch to his jaw, and moreso as he noticed the giant reptilian that ran through the ship, knocking over sailors left and right. As it disappeared into the holds, he stood and nudged Khloros, motioning for him to keep an eye on Ashelynn while he went to check out the intruder. Wielding his scythe once more, he gave a disarming smile towards the sailors as he made his way towards the hold. "Please, allow me to deal with this nuisance." Meanwhile, his mind was racing on how to twist this in a way that didn't end up with them losing their passage on the ship.

However, he stopped as the giant lizard once again made an appearance, carrying a girl covered in what seemed to be orange juice. Watching the lizard drop the girl on deck, his eyebrow twitched once and he began to make his way over to her. Crouching down above her so his shadow would encompass her form, he smiled down at Anna, though there was more than a hint of hostility in that smile. "Soooooo. Nice day, ain't it? Sun is shinin', waves are crashin', birds are singin'. And I really, really, don't want to be killin'. At least, not another Adventurer while on the deck of the ship I'm about to be boardin'. Which brings up a few questions..." His eyes harden as he glares. "Who are you, what are you doing here, and who in their right mind tries to stowaway on a ship, and then proceed to break out before you even leave dock?"

Kala let out a short huff. She understood the need for rest, but she had desperately wanted to face the man. Perhaps he was right though..when was the last time Kala had a good rest? She did not know the answer to that. In fact she remembered that vision this morning had interrupted her sleeping, causing the woman to only get a mere hour or so. How her body could function on such a small amount asleep was unbeknownst to her. "Very well Rok. I shall meet you later." She said before turning on her heel. Kala cared not what the others would think about her challenging him, though she would leave them the opportunity to come find her should they wish to talk. Her eyes landed on the newly reappeared Orlando before speaking, "Should you need me, I will be resting in one of the rooms..." Her eyes looked over at Joshua, "The same goes for you." She said, the rage in her now gone as she waved a small goodbye and excused herself from the room.

It didn't take Kala long to find a spare bedroom she could rest in and since she had left an invitation for the boys to find her should they need her, she left the door unlocked. With a small yawn, Kala would take Anguish off her back and set him down next to the bed before she found her way into the bathroom and undressed. From there she bathe herself, hoping one of the boys wouldn't walk in at a time like this. It would be rather..troublesome. Kala seemed to relax within the bath, her head resting against the back of it as she closed her eyes and began to get lost in thought. What did that dream mean this morning? Was it really the past like Orlando had said it was? What did Cain do to her? Who was this..Cain? Why did he feel..important? What did the mark on her chest and arm mean? So many questions..and yet there were no answers to be had. The one thought that worried her the most was..could she trust herself around her teammates?
I never..want to hurt them..but..fighting..hurting people..it feels..so..right. Seeing real people's blood..it just..awakens something in me that makes me want to go crazy..but why? This isn't normal..It can't be.. I can only hope that I'll be able to control myself should we ever have to fight real people again.. But.. Can Orlando really keep his promise to me? Surely he, out of the others, could be the one that could take me out..right? I certainly hope so.. With these doubts and thoughts on her mind, Kala found it hard to relax.

@Clockwork Syringe @revior

Orlando only caught the tail end of the conversation as Kala needed to rest before challenging Rok to a fight. It was probably wise that Kala took him up on his offer as well as very generous of Rok himself. Still, he figured that it would be the best to keep an eye on the fight itself to make sure that nothing unfortunate would happen both to Rok and Kala. Kala on the other hand he was more concerned with due to her split battle personality. If it came to pass that she did loose control, he might have to tap into his own unknown side, a side he briefly witnessed when he removed his eyepatch. For now, while she rested, it would be an apt use of time to ask Rok where his friend was located. Friend was the better term to use as he suspected that she was an advisor to him, but he didn't want to voice his thoughts just yet. In the meantime, since Joshua had asked Rok about her, he figured he'd go with Joshua despite being in his disheveled state of appearance from his earlier shock.

Anna's eyes slowly widened as she found herself sheltered by Alexander's shadow. She blinked a few times before staring back at Alexander as he smiled down at her laying form with... hostile intent? Maybe...? He looks like farmer with that large scythe he carries but he did notice that she was an Adventurer which wasn't hard to guess honestly with the way Matcha came to her rescue. Does that mean he was one too? Probably. Anna slowly looked around, the air smelled like salt and oranges while waves can be heard. So she managed to sneak onto the ship but had to free herself from the box hence her summoning Matcha, who was now sunning himself a few meters away. Anna looked back up at the man as he asked why she would escape before the ship even left the dock. Hang on... Is he... glaring at her?

"Hnnk!" Anna made a odd, strangled squeak of fear as her eyes widened and she suddenly rolled away from Alexander before scrambling away on all fours to hide behind Matcha, dropping her quiver of arrows and her pack in the process. Once she's 'safely' hiding behind Matcha, she peered at Alexander with wide, staring eyes. Warily watching his every move like a spooked mouse.

So respect met the large man, forcing him to watch the individual mount his spider before taking his leave. It was odd that the Adventurers seemed to rely upon their mounts for travel, even within a place of rest. However, he saw little purpose in addressing this. After all, to each his own, every being deserved their own ways of life. When the lad reappeared within the doorway however, Rok's boisterous laughter rang clear. The boy proved red, hosting a sense of embarrassment that caught him off guard. During this time the first individual to approach him had entered once more, as well the female warrior took her leave.

"
That question is not an uncommon one." The giant's words carried through holding light sympathies at the perhaps otherwise difficult task. "Kit tends to wander, it has been that way since the beginning." Taking a moment, a heavy breath escaped through Rok's nostrils. With features softening, it was as if times of old were silently running through his mind. Dispersing the thoughts, his eyes glued once more to the Adventurer. " She mentioned resting within the halls, though I do not imagine her remaining there for long. Kit may have very well even already left this place. However, worry not, there is a trick to make her come to you. Though keep in mind, it is not to be used lightly." The giant spoke, releasing one of the containers resting upon his sash that adorned his lower wear. With a twist the container opened, revealing a small golden bell. With gentleness that was perhaps beyond the giant, he cradled the small item as it faced upwards. A ribbon of silk hung from the bell, black but etched with gold. Perhaps the scene was even humorous, seeing as this bell was no bigger than a golf ball in size, whilst the palm of Rok's hands were bigger than the common man's head. Holding this bell, the man beckoned the Adventurer to take it with caution.

"
I would ask that you either step outside, or go to the room I shall duel with your friend before ringing this bell. "

@Clockwork Syringe @revior

"Oh... Oooooooooh!"

These sound made by Joshua are filled with both foreboding and intrigue, it was as if he had seen something both terrible and interesting, though mostly terrible. What is it that he is referring to? Why the tiny little bell of course. Though it is not so much the bell and rather it's functions.

"I have a bad feeling about this one. I think we may need to prepare for this one, maybe even a full party... No, scratch that, it'd be best if we can come up with a raid party"

Take it outside? Use it in the dueling room? Not to be used lightly!? And if one think back on the temperaments of the heroes, there is only one answer. There's gonna be a fight.

"A-anyway, I think it's best if you take the bell, Orlando. I wouldn't want to ring it by accident. Heck, I think I'll just go check the halls to see if she's still around. Alright? Alright. Tata."

And so he went, atop the terrible Sleipnir, Joshua set forth in panicky hurry to search the halls.

Orlando accepted the bell graciously and decided that it would be the best if he were to go and train for a bit before watching Kala fight. walking over to an empty training room, he picked up a discarded wooden sword and positioned himself across from a dummy. Once mentally and physically ready, he then practiced his form with the wooden sword. After a few tries with the sword, it was obvious that he was well versed, but what with two? Since he started to use two more often than not, this would be a good time to practice. Looking around the room, he found one more sword and gripped one in each hand before going to work. Sure during a battle the current style type would suffice, however, due to his observations while practicing, he was able to clean up his 2 sword form. Much like before, while he was training a few people would pass by the room, look in, and then move on. Since again, the duel would not be for another while, Orlando decided that he would head over to the arena to ring the bell. He was confident in his abilities as a fighter, and with his newfound knowledge, he could probably beat whatever the bell was going to call if it wanted to fight, within reason of course.

She wasn't there. What's up with that, there's not even a trace, no one had seen her. Not to mention, doesn't that woman move about way too quickly. So she led us to Rok, took a break, and then left? That wasn't much time at all was it? Or was that only Joshua's perspective and in reality, it has already been a day or two? Well, maybe she didn't took a break at all and just left. What a whimsical fellow.

At any rate, since one could not find her, then one could only bring her to oneself and fortunately, and perhaps also unfortunately, there is a way. And so Joshua returned to Orlando, expecting an assembly of a thousand men, an entire legion loyal to their cause, only to find the number somewhat lacking.

"I would suppose this is as full a party as we're gonna get, huh."

Well, there's Kala and Deren, but if Orlando couldn't get them, which Joshua assumed he did, then what chances do Joshua have.

As Orlando walked to the arena musing on his current state of affairs, he was soon intercepted by none other than Joshua. "I would suppose this is as full a part as we're gonna get, huh?" were the words that escaped his mouth. "I would think so," Orlando replied, "Kala's off taking a much needed breather and I have no Idea where Deren went, so looks like it's us for now. Although, I think we can handle the challenge," Orlando continued flashing a grin on his face as he spoke. He looked around for a bit before finding the arena Rok spoke of. It was a relatively good sized circular space that receded down into the ground surrounded by a 4 foot tall wall. Finding a gate, he opened it and closed it behind him once he knew that Joshua was with him. As he descended the stairs, he continued again, "I can only imagine what this bell would do so we'll need to be on our guard when I use it. Be prepared for anything." Orlando soon reached the ground and walked to the center of the arena. "Here goes nothing!" Orlando spoke as he rang the bell that Rok had given him all while silently praying that he was not about to make a very big mistake.

Joshua was slightly perturbed by Orlando's confidence and found within himself a concern for the man.

"Just so you know, if either of us die even once, it'd probably over for us."

Joshua's expression is stern and one could even argue that it is harsh and it made him look as if he is serverely displeased, while making such a face he looks Orlando straight in the eye.

"Don't die, you hear me. Even if you have to leave me behind, even if you have to use me as a shield. Do. Not. Die. You are the leader of this party. Know that we are only together because you are here, but I suppose it goes without saying that we don't really get along. At the very least, if you die here, I don't think I can manage Kala and Deren. And I don't think I'm comfortable following either of them."

Johua's eye's broke of for a second and took a breather, one that seems to be longer than necessary, before turning back.

"I know you don't like what I'm saying, but sometimes you can't save them all. At the very least, you need to keep the party together. I repeat again. Do. Not. Die. No matter what."

And there, he finished and he waits for Orlando the ring the bell, and once the bell is rung, he spoke once more in a lightened tone.

"Man, if I had known we'd be fighting in such a condition, I would have tried to pick up some magic. No guaranties I'll be any good though."

Alexander could only raise an eyebrow as he saw the reaction of the unknown girl, as she scrambled back to her mount, trying, and in his opinion failing, to hide from him. He doubted that the overgrown lizard could fight him off, and even if it could fight, he always had Khloros to back him up. It was a giant land shark after all, he was fairly sure that beat giant lizard any day. Shrugging one shoulder to himself, he rested his scythe on his other shoulder and began to slowly amble towards Anna, kicking the stuff that she dropped further away from her and making a point to not take his eyes off her. As he neared the lizard, he simply stared at it for a split second, before walking around it and standing in front of Anna once more.

"Ya know, it's rude not to answer someone when they ask you something. In fact, I feel quite cross about that. So cross, that I may toss you off into the water this very instance. After taking anything you have as compensation for the gold you undoubtedly just made the sailors waste with your lackadaisical destruction of their cargo. But that would be ever so cruel. So, I suppose I can give you one last chance. And maybe, maybe, I'll think about forgiving you for these transgression." His stare once again deadens as he looks down at her. "Who are you, what are you doing on this boat, and what in your absent mind drove you to give us Adventurers name than we already have with your impulsive actions."

And so, the accursed bell was rung by the hands of the adventurers. The cry it made was gentle, softened by the fact that it's inner lining held grooves to distort the sound. Perhaps this itself lowered it's value and purpose as a bell, but the retreating sound was undeniably pleasant. Though a bell's normally sharper notes tend to invade the space, this one seemingly melded into it. If there was any doubt that danger was upon the horizon, it would be within this short moment. It was within the following moments that the bell's purpose could be found. The surroundings of Orlando and Joshua emitted a soft golden light, waves of energy channeling to their feet, indicated by the enveloping mist as it rose from below. However, this golden glow held a burning sensation, as if exposed to fire. There was no escape, no matter the movements they made the central focus of energy would follow them. And when this collection of light reached it's pinnacle, it seared into their flesh, devouring the glow within the room as it etched their forms. These golden markings continued to burn excessively, but somewhere within they could tell this effect would only be temporary, and that this was in fact a gift.

"So I overestimated even the Adventurers." Kit's voice met the room with vexation, forcibly announcing her presence within the vicinity. "I have said this to her, and I shall say this to you. No mortal is meant to become a God." With her words, her location could be found. Standing atop the wall of the sunken arena that the Adventurers stood within. Her appearance was far too outlandish, no longer masked by the fur blanket that was Rok's coat. Disregarding the beads of water that loosely hung from her hair, as well the awkwardly bound hair as if she was hurried into tying it up, her attire made it seem as if her state of time were completely separated from the others. With shades of black and red, one may have been forced to ponder whether or not this mysterious female was indeed the individual they saw just a short while ago. "Though your ties with that renegade are beyond vile, it is the act of using her bell that deems you as unsightly bastards. Was the power of Rebirth not enough to sate your delusions? Or, is it precisely because it is missing that you have to seek another power to claim your position as gods amongst men? Self-deluded brats, taking advantage of Rok's kindness. I will beat into your minds just how powerless you are, even with this curse."

Kit abandoned her perch from the wall, jumping forth into the pit of the arena. From here her gloves glowed violently, as if raw energy was flowing uncontrolled. Tails of blue light whipped away at the air endlessly, as if searching for additional sources that it could possibly consume. "I bestow upon you both, my own gift." With finger pointing towards the ground, like a gun she fired energy into it's depths. Light enveloped the ground near the two Adventurers, and before them a spectral staff would appear. If their hands did touch the staff, the spectral form would shift wildly before solidifying into a form that matched their ideal weaponry. "Hold no reservations in this temporary gift. Your weapons hold no chance against my own, and it will only make the difference between us that much clearer." With a clap of her hands the energies swirling around them finally combined, and when they came to part, a link would be formed. And with their combined energy, her arms thrust upwards. Orbs bursted into existence in the air above, taking the shape of very diverse weaponry that loosely hung within the air. Each holding a unique liveliness as they seemingly swayed whilst waiting for a command in their spectral form.

"To you unsavory Adventurers, I bare my name. I am Kitsara, 'Hero', and Master of Weaponry. To most, I have survived within this world for hundreds of years using my own power. And you? Within a week's time you reek of her vile stench!" At words end, she went on the offensive. Like Rok, she proved to hold an attribute for speed, but nowhere near the level of Sun. A spectral short blade quickly met her hand as she made her approach. However, with altered momentum her form twisted into a grinding slide, blade already shaped into a bow as the arrow was released. It's form was like lighting, vicious energy devouring the arrow as it spiraled towards the adventurers. Without break her bow altered into a great sword, thrusting this momentum into an encompassing swing. If even the smallest of injuries were taken, they could note the golden glow consuming their wound, that intense burning never leaving their sensation. But, with it, the wound would instantly be healed. This was the power of the accursed bell, a magic that instantly rejuvenated any wound during it's duration. With conviction, it mattered not how immortal the Adventurers would seem. Weapon after weapon, Kit would remain on the offense with her dance. Even if certain death should lay upon the Adventurers, only for them to stand once more, she would not break. Perhaps this trial could even be related to that of Rok's. However, this time it was the Adventurers who could seemingly last forever, with Kit having to endure the duration. But in truth, the bell's power is not indefinite, nor does it shelter them from the pain. However, the spectral blades still floated idly within the sky, bringing into question just where the advantage remained. If it were not for their use of the given spectral weaponry, they would even find that the paired assaults would also prove unblockable, as the spectral blades easily slice through any physical entity, including the ground.

" So you are saying that she is still a victim to misunderstandings? That stupid girl is blinded by her own ambitions. "

Regret. Was it ever such a powerful emotion? For Joshua, he had felt it so many times and never was it so raw, so physical, so real, until this very moment. At this very instant he can feel the emotion know as regret overflowing through his veins, burning him, persecuting him for his foolishness. Or perhaps it was just the golden light emitted by the bell. Perhaps it was, for when the light fades, the burning sensation had vanished and Joshua felt a great strength welling up inside him. Is this the bell's effect? He wondered. I thought this was supposed to summon the hero known as "Kit" was it not. Don't tell me, her arrival is but an intended side effect? Why do I have a bad feeling about this? No wait, I've always had that.

"So I overestimated even the Adventurers."

Sure enough, the hero known as Kit appeared before them with an appearance that was not like before and could only be described as "supernatural", an odd word in a world of magic and monsters, but even by that standard, she stood way above normal, that is for certain. And by her words, Joshua knew this meant trouble. Within himself, though he respected the man, cursed Rok for being so damn cryptic, and then himself for not pushing for answers further and was in such a hurry to leave.

"I have said this to her, and I shall say this to you. No mortal is meant to become a God."

With each word spoken by Kit, Joshua felt the situation escalating further, none of which are by his own doing funnily enough.

After listening through what amounts to nonsensical babble to Joshua that in no way he could comprehend, the newly down-converted idiotic boy reached his own conclusion. This lady here is an airhead. From that point on, his mind simply went blank, awaiting for the woman to stop moving her lips. However, that time does not seem to be near, so instead, he became distracted by the pair of staffs that materialized from the ground. By instinct, he wanted to grab it, but in a rare moment of clarity, his better instincts took over and he retracted his hand from the staffs, for grabbing it will signify his intention to fight, one that he had little confidence in winning, especially not after what he saw of the woman's capabilities. Not to mention, to be so confident as to grant them weapons leagues from the junk they use so that they can even hope to match her. As expected of a hero, she's an airhead, but she's undeniably powerful.

"To you unsavory Adventurers, I bare my name. I am Kitsara, 'Hero', and Master of Weaponry. To most, I have survived within this world for hundreds of years using my own power. And you? Within a week's time you reek of her vile stench!"

What the hell is this "her" she keeps talking about? Such is the question in Joshua's head, but he was unable to dwell on it for long, much less decipher it's meaning, for once she was done talking, or rather speaking, for it was rather one sided, she went immediately on the offensive with the myriad of ethereal weapons at her disposal, made of magic that Joshua could not even begin to understand. Well, at least they know her name now.

As a wise man once said, there will always be three options: To move forward, to remain, and to retreat. In this case, moving forward means fighting, remaining means not doing anything, and retreat means to get the hell of out of here. Right now, fighting actually seems plausible, with the astral weapons presented before them and the overflowing strength from the bell, but despite so, Joshua still isn't confident. Remaining is just plain stupid, to simply stand around waiting to be killed. Retreating is not possible, simply because that they can't possibly out run Kitsara with her speed and there's no chance in hell she's letting them go after that speech. Joshua, to put it plainly, thinks all three option sucks. But the wise man, or perhaps he was just a man, or perhaps it was a woman, Joshua can't remember, never said that there can't be more that three options, in fact, Joshua recalls that he made it a point that three was not the limit. Therefore, perhaps a much more favorable fourth option?

With a plan in mind, Joshua turns to Orlando, the airhead hero closing in fast.

"Orlando, I have a plan, but as you can see, I have no time to explain them. So I need you to choose. It's either trust me, or do whatever you want. I can't do this alone so I'll follow through with your decision. Just make it quick!"

As the bell rung, a golden glow enveloped their surroundings, both figuratively and literally burning like fire, as well as temporarily granting them some unknown strength. So I overestimated even the Adventurers. Orlando looked around and found Kit, the woman in question standing before them above them. I have said this to her, and I shall say this to you. No mortal is meant to become a God. A god? what was she talking about? Orlando had no desire currently to become a god-like being any way at the moment. Though your ties with thatrenegade are beyond vile, it is the act of using her bell that deems you as unsightly bastards. Was the power of Rebirth not enough to sate your delusions? Or, is it precisely because it is missing that you have to seek another power to claim your position as gods amongst men? Self-deluded brats, taking advantage of Rok's kindness. I will beat into your minds just how powerless you are, even with this curse. Orlando was not at all taking advantage of Rok's kindness, he respected the man far too much to do such a thing. He even hadn't taken advantage of the power of rebirth as he wanted to save people, not leave them to their deaths, much like with Alex back at Gleamfang. And why does Kit think that they are power hungry, the only thing that Orlando was hungry for knowledge, preservation of life, and whatever dark secret lay hidden within him. I bestow upon you both, my own gift. A ball of light formed a staff much like the one she had used earlier in the day, no doubt it would meld itself to his and Joshua's own unique weapons. Hold no reservations in this temporary gift. Your weapons hold no chance against my own, andit will only make the difference between us that much clearer. Was she seriously underestimating them? Orlando could understand the honor in this fight, but it mattered not, as she seemed to be quite air headed. "To you unsavory Adventurers, I bare my name. I am Kitsara, 'Hero', and Master of Weaponry. To most, I have survived within this world for hundreds of years using my own power. And you? Within a week's time you reek of her vile stench!" Who is this her she speaks of? Did we even meet her? All these questions were flowing through his mind when all of a sudden Joshua's voice broke these thoughts.

"Orlando, I have a plan, but as you can see, I have no time to explain them. So I need you to choose. It's either trust me, or do whatever you want. I can't do this alone so I'll follow through with your decision. Just make it quick!" Orlando didn't have much of a plan currently as this situation had been thrust upon them. As he was about to make a decision, a voice suddenly echoed through his head. "Ah it's good to be back I see, good to see you again Orlando." ~Who are you and what are you doing in my head?~ "That's of little consequence currently, what is of consequence however, is the fact that you're the leader and you shouldn't be listening to him. I myself have a plan to defeat this "Hero" but you need to listen to me." Orlando's other side had taken root finally, showing itself. However, as tempting as it was, he spoke loudly while clutching his eyepatch, "get out of my head creature!" The voice silenced itself as Orlando turned to Joshua, "Sorry about that, anyway I will trust your judgement as I have no prior plan to figure this out."
