"Looks like we got left with some odd ones."

Joshua looked over the other two Adventurers. One of them is masked completely, making his expression completely unreadable. The other one seemed to be more reserved, a bit passive perhaps, will he perform well in a team? Joshua wonders.

"Anyway, could someone perhaps give me a ride?"

Joshua made a miserable expression.

"I'm, uh, having some issues with mine..."

He eyed over Orlando, Kala, and then eye-patched girl, hoping either one of them is willing to give him a ride. He could ride with the quiet one too, but he isn't too sure about the masked man.

Deren watched in surprise as the beasts entered, he'd never been aware of people being able to ride lions or anything like it. He blankly stared, before releasing a disgruntled sigh, he hoped he wouldn't have to run more. He felt pressure to appear strong, hence he kept a straight face and collected himself, as ready as he may have seemed, he was just lost right now, a lamb following the other sheep. Except this lamb could fight, the only downside was that fighting was the only thing he could do. Deren was also particularly adept in the art of eating and sleeping, typical of a teenage boy really.

"excuse me...um......" He muttered inconfidently, he'd blown it, did they think he was weak now? He continued talking to Roku, this time his speech was bolstered with false confidence "how did you get that wolf? And if i am allowed to, can i follow you guys. My question about the wolf was because my pace might make me a burden." He paused and stared at the ground, waiting for a reply, but refusing eye contact, for no reason really, it was just something he did. He watched as the other adventurers left, this all seemed so organised, Deren noted to himself that he needed a life plan. And no, running around slaughtering monsters for money is not a plan.

It was as if an internal clock rang, the way Ashelynn's form suddenly shook itself awake. Upon sitting up, her dulled eyes opened once more. For a short duration she remained motionless, casually listening to the surroundings. When all proved tranquil, she finally came to push herself up. Of course, initially her balance proved insufficient, not so much due to her impairments, but rather the method of sleeping was somewhat offsetting. "Awake?" her voice drifted, holding the shell firmly within her hand. It was as if her question was spread without a target, loosely implying that any could answer. She knew that the red haired girl was somewhere out there, however her response was not expected. After all, there was too much 'luck' involved when it came to finding such a peaceful zone, more so to rest without worry within the open. If she were to be left behind however, it was not Ashelynn's place to worry.

Her empty eyes slowly traced her surroundings, as if attempting to locate the ally that was partaking in this journey. Whether Alex rose before her and was scavenging the land, or if he was simply sleeping near her current location, was unknown. Without worry, or hesitation Ashelynn grabbed for the whistle. Blowing through the crafted item until the steps of the beast could be heard. It's noise was still highly irksome, but it at least served it's purpose. More so, no matter the state Alex was currently in, the whistle could also double to locate him. With the beast meeting her side, Ashelynn quickly positioned herself atop it, already familiar with the design, as well the steps needed. "Let us continue our journey, as we must not linger for long." Her voice rang clearly once more, approaching no target specifically, as she placed the shell within the neck-sleeve of her cloak.

Alexander hadn't gotten much sleep that night, partly due to cautiousness and partly due to him seemingly being incapable of sleeping. Instead, he spent the night on the lookout in case anything or anyone unsavory came along, as well as keeping the fire going. Eventually morning had come around, and when he had deemed it safe enough to leave Ashelynn alone for a brief period of time, he went hunting. Fortunately for him, he had managed to find a hare as well as a few more fruits. After bringing the hare back, he had skinned and cooked it over the fire. He ate a small portion of the hare and a few fruits, and set the rest to the side for Ashelynn, and then proceeded to enjoy the early morning while he awaited for his companion to awaken.

Eventually she did, something he noticed when he heard her blow her whistle. Slowly he stood up and blew his own whistle, petting the mount that appeared shortly after. "I know you want to get a move on and all, but I found us some food if you're hungry. Some hare and a few fruits I managed to find." As he said this he got on to his mount and had it slowly walk up to Ashelynn.

Renig slowly wakes up and feeling a bit groggy takes several deep breaths and conducted several stretches. "Someone say a ride? I can offer one if you are pleased to receive." He quickly gets up and whistles a soft tone, suddenly a rather large gecko suddenly reveals itself from the stone wall and scans the area with its beady eyes and spots Renig. It seemed excited as it scurried towards him and pounced on him. Causing Renig to nearly suffocate and having him to snap his fingers to order the gecko to get off him. It suddenly gets off of renig and scans the strangers nearby and seeming to pant with a long tongue sticking out. ("Why the hell did we keep this abomination?") ("Cause its so cuuuuute! Look at iiiiim!")

Kala blew her whistle and waited a few seconds before her lovely 'little' Norok showed up. Carefully she climbed on and looked over at the other's mounts. "Huh. I would of guessed you'd of had a lion Orlando." She teased lightly before looking to Roku. Odd. Her's looked to have the element of ice surrounding it and yet Roku was a fire mage. "Fire and ice. An interesting combination.." She mumbled softly before looking down at her own dear mount. A wingless drake. She wondered why such a creature per say 'chose' her. Not that she was complaining. Kala loved it and she'd only just meet it a few hours prior. Carefully she pet Norok's head and waited for them to head off to find Rok.

Although feeling kind of embarrassed, Deren put his fingers to his mouth and let out a loud whistle, wondering what would happened, everyone else had managed to call a beast by whistling, so why couldn't Deren. He stared out of the cave into the vast plains before him. His face lit up when a friendly howl erupted from outside, was it his? He looked behind him back into the cave. Stale shadows loomed towards them, taunting them, daring them to go deeper. Suddenly Deren was hurled to the ground, to see a large white fluffy wolf licking his face and yelping excitedly. Deren Squealed with laughter and hugged the beast, burying his face in it's fur. "He's soo cuuuuuute!" He shouted, completely oblivious of how loud or maybe obnoxious he was being. With a swift movement Deren managed to swing himself up onto the wolf's back, still hugging the beast's neck. "what shall i call him guys?" He asked.

((Hoping to breathe some life here))

Orlando took note of how one of the new arrivals also received a new mount that was a wolf, much like Roku. Perhaps the two of them shared some personality traits that caused them to both have a wolf. Kala had a drake as her mount, while he himself obtained a Lion mount, it caused him to think what other kinds of mounts that could be obtained based on someone's traits or personality. When the new arrival posed the question of what to name the mount, Orlando chimed in, "You should not let someone else name your mount, it won't feel right in the future. I suggest that you name the mount yourself that way it has familiarity and it's your own name, not someone else's suggestion.

@Gilgog

Kala nodded in agreement with what Orlando said. "He is quite right. The name needs to come from you." She said then added, "It helps make a bond." She looked from the boy to Orlando. "What's your's named?" She asked him curiously and tilted her head to the right just a bit. Honestly Kala was curious about what all the names where for the mounts. She of course knew her's, but not the others'. Then she remembered Joshua, for some reason, needed to ride on someone else's. If no one else offered to let him ride, she would though she'd hoped he wouldn't ask a billion in a half questions.

@Gilgog @general ostruppen

Deren tilted his head and frowned, deep in thought. "I don't know what to call him." He lay on the fluffy, gentle beast's back, with his arms still wrapped around it's neck in a loose hug.He looked at her with inquisitive eyes, identifying how she acted to try and understand her quickly. He also glanced at the others, taking an educated guess as to what personality they possessed. Many of his guesses were quite probably wrong, so he decided not to treat them as he may have suspected he should have, and simply to wait until he actually understood them without just looking at them. His gaze shifted back to Kala, still pondering over what to call his steed. He opened his mouth momentarily to declare a name, but paused, spending on conclusive and pensive moment be fore announcing. "He's called Baron."

Renewed Journey

And so the story of our rising adventurers begins once more. It was only the night before that the Denizens of the Land brought their hand against the Adventurers. In indignation they slew those who were once known as immortal beings, accusing them of prior betrayal, unaware of the veil shadowing their eyes. In conclusion, the Adventurers were forced to flee the town of Aparches. However, unexpected as it may be, their escape did not go unaided. The Heroes, who were thought to be an opposing force prior, quickly provided assistance.

Sun Zhao leaked some information through Roku, seeing as her memories were being regained. However, even his information could not shed much light. More so, when the speaker appeared before the adventurers once more, bringing further unease. Within our growing group of Adventurers, the idea of a puppeteer is thickening. One who was capable of using both Heroes and Adventurers alike. But the question still remained, could the Adventurers truly trust the Heroes?

In search of answers our group of Adventurers decided it would be best to journey to the DeathGrin Mountains, hoping to meet with the Hero known as Rok. With the nights passing, and the sun barely meeting the horizon, the group sets out on this new journey. Onwards, to the lands that have yet to be charted, the DeathGrin Mountains.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, a peculiar duo set off after their escape. Though it is through Alex's skills alone that they manage to camp safely, as well find a meal during their travels. As he has discovered his companion, Ashelynn's, blindness. But still they travel SouthWest, as if approaching the DeathGrin mountains from the shoreline. However, a mysterious female appears to be tailing them, only known by Ashelynn as she notifies the individual of their direction of movement.

Greetings and welcome back my dear Adventuring companions!

(OOC)

This post simply serves as a "We are back, and moving" post, as well a minor recap. If you notice anything missing that you think is important, tell me. I'm pretty sure all of our memories are at least a little hazy. I did a little bit of skim work, but that does not mean that I managed to grab everything.

When information is confirmed and settled, (Seeing as I might be missing something important that shouldn't be skipped) I will bring about an additional post to further provide directional movement. After all, Group One holds a major handicap with Lana being away,
currently. However, everyone has shown significant balance and self capability without entirely leaning on a single individual for the group. I'll try to support your side from my own means. Seeing as I do not have a physical hand (character) in the group, I'll have less direct influence, but I will attempt to open the proper paths to make way for the arcs. (*)

(*Take Note*: Your options are limitless, as the free-story Arcs will never be limited. However, you can possibly miss an Arc that would bring further light onto the story from a certain angle. This is due to the world always changing, whether you are in the location, or not. The only time you will be restricted to choices is during World Events. Even then, you have the free choice of ditching the event. This is because the World Events are some of the biggest plot points that force the story to move.)

Another Note: I look forward to working with everyone again!

A New Journey

With the break of morning passing, our young group of adventurers depart from the Gleamfang's Den. Riding their newly claimed mounts; Orlando, Kala, Joshua and Deren make way for the DeathGrin Mountains. Though the parting was questionable, Roku chose to linger behind for a short while longer. A lingering thought twisted within her mind, bringing a last moment decision to confront the other Heroes once more before regrouping with her companions.

The journey came with relative ease, as the further south they traveled the less they worried about meeting with the Denizens. With the DeathGrin Mountains looming in the horizon, a chilling breeze would sweep the lands. Cliffs lined the base of the mountain, further warding off individuals from entering. But for those resolute, a single choke point allowed access from the western side which they approached. Cleaving through the rock face, a valley dug straight through the cliffs and into the depths of the mountains. Without natural warmth from the sun, and serving like a channel for the mountain's breeze, the path laid bitten with frost.

It is here, at the entrance of the DeathGrin mountains that our group of Adventurers can be found. The only welcoming sign before them being a large red hand print resting upon a boulder residing next to the opening. Though, with this sign also came the disturbing air of being watched. It was an eerie feeling, more so since the origin could not be pinpointed. However, when the adventurers showed reservations about entering the mountains, cackles could be heard. With presence known, the beings held little reason for hiding away. One should have expected it, after all, these lands were riddled with bottom feeders that preyed on traveling merchants. Where better to strike than those who were either under guarded due to the cold terrain ahead, or worn down from the return. The beings that appeared before the adventurers? It was none other than a pack of goblins.

A gentle breeze met Ashelynn's face, brushing her bangs across her nose like a mild irritant. However, the only relief she could provide was a brush with the back of her hand. This was due to the fact that her hands were already preoccupied with holding a stick. Not just any stick, as this one was speared right through a hare's cooked remains. Though it was probably a little unbecoming, she saw little use in trying to hide her eating habits with the provided food. After all, prior to this her average meal was just bread, well, when a meal could be found. She probably would have continued this journey without even eating if Alex didn't prove so persistent.

"Is it as you had hoped?" Ashelynn spoke outwardly, reaching to her companion, Alex, with only her words. Her head lightly flicking to the side, attempting to indicate the ocean. It's gentle waves easily reached her ears, which probably meant that it was well within sight. If her memory of the previous night served correctly, he mentioned wanting to see it after she forced her alteration to the plans upon him. She held her head forward, but her dulled eyes couldn't help but pull to the direction of the sound. An evasive longing to see the scenery before her, drowned heavily by her own ideals. "A mild luxury that proves only to distract oneself from the history buried beneath. " Her attention snapped away from the waters, locking further onto the steps from Alex's mount. "Though perhaps such fruitless luxuries can be forgiven in the face of another's transgression, one whom is deaf to his companions advice and continues to display unneeded acts of sympathetic benevolence." Perhaps her words carried minor hostility, as not only was her mind resting upon the food with her grasp. But also the previous act of 'kindness' that led him to remove her from her mount last night. Sure she previously saw little point in patronizing another's actions that were based upon kindness, but in the face of unreachable scenery..

Whilst riding on the back of his Lion, Orlando began to think on how he might greet Rok as he did knock him down and now apart from Kala and Joshua, were the only survivors from that party that he knew of. Still the greeting that he was about to think of was interrupted by a small force of small ugly green things: Goblins from the looks of things. These goblins had one goal in mind, take everything that the group owned. Seeing as though Orlando had been elected the unofficial leader of the trio, he figured that he'd take the first action. This was not a very skilled enemy so he wouldn't need to use both of his katana he thought as he dismounted from his Lion, Asgar. He patted Asgar on the head as a way for him to stand back for a moment and only come if help is needed. Orlando then stood in front of the goblins with his left hand on the sheath and his right hand on the hilt of his katana waiting for the Goblins to make the first move as he closed his eyes. Now a normal enemy would wait for a second and figure out what to do, but else goblins were not exactly the smartest creatures. One very brave and dumb goblin charged forwards as Orlando closed his eyes intending on taking advantage of the supposed opening. However, an opening it was not as Orlando opened his eyes and in one swift motion drew his katana and beheaded the first goblin before taking his left hand off the hilt and gasping it above his right. The goblin's comrades became enraged and then began to charge.

Kala had been her usual quiet self as the party rode on. Her mind however, was not as silent. It reeled with thoughts and ideals that would likely drive a normal person crazy. She had her hood and mask up, as her eyes and face remained emotionless; it was not until they got to the pass was it that she started to come back to reality. Norok had stopped shortly behind Orlando's lion, and Orlando had dismounted. AS her eyes trailed further forward, she watched their 'fearless' leader hack a goblin in half then get the hoard riled up. Oh good. A distraction. She thought to herself as she dismounted her loyal drake then pulled Anguish from her back. The sword looked new and ready to test it's metal once more; Kala was glad she had repaired the sword before everything went to hell.

Kala walked forward, Anguish in her hands and facing front ward, it's tip pointed deadly at the oncoming hoard. Her reaction time was fast as she swung out with the blade, effectively slicing a goblin in half before proceeding to dance along with Anguish; the pair taking out goblins as they went. Kala's mind on the other hand seemed to clear as she fought, no more depressing or crazed thoughts passing into it.

@Clockwork Syringe @revior @Vulpes

Alexander has his eyes closed, simply listening to the sound of the waves crashing in the distance. It was oddly calming, but just as well, it did explain why his mount turned out to be what it was. Even though he could remember nothing, the sea did provide him some reprieve from the torturous thoughts that had recently been festering within his mind. With all the things happening recently, he truly needed to decide on the course of action he wanted to take, though no matter what, Ashelynn was his first priority.

Snapping out of his daze at his companions voice, he glances at her, idly noting her words, then closes his eyes once again. He wondered, would this be considered cruel? For him to be capable to see such a wondrous sight, yet her stuck forever in the dark? He supposed so. Well, there was one thing he could to to help, though it could just as well cause as much harm. "It is a shimmering, crystal blue landscape. The waves cresting and crashing causing ripples, distorting the image of the sun and clouds off the water's surface. A mirage effect, so I suppose. A myriad number of fish dance alongside the coast, yet farther out dark shapes dart from one pale sand dune to another. They look so small, yet the trickery of the ocean could have them be monstrous in size." He stops and takes a somewhat relaxed sigh. "And yet, it is not even the image of the ocean that brings peace to my mind. It's the sound, in which both you and I can hear. The soft lulling of the waves, the gentle crash upon the shore. And the smell. The smell of the ocean, drifting across the gentle breeze, carrying untold stories."

Finally opening his eyes, he glances over at the ocean. "Truthfully, this was more than I expected. It has been a cathartic experience to say the least. Yet, I cannot help but feel guilt. While you may still enjoy the sound and he breeze, you are incapable of seeing the shimmering plain of blue. That is why I did my best to try and describe the phenomena. I will ready admit that your intellect is vaster than mine, and as such you are capable of imagining and comprehending things beyond my own abilities. As such, please do not take this as my taunting you with what I can do that you cannot." He runs a hand through his hair and frowns slightly. "While you may dislike me and my actions in trying to help you, unfortunately I will not stop until one condition has been met, and I fear that you may despise me for stating this but, until you have regained your vision, and I do swear on my immortal soul that I will ensure you do get it back even if it does cost me that very thing, I will not leave you. Not until you can come back here, and gaze upon the ocean yourself." With his piece said, he fell back silent, closing his eyes once more and simply taking in the surroundings.

Deren had fallen asleep on Baron's back as they had travelled, he was dissapointed that he didn't know any of these people yet, he'd had nothing better to do than follow them. Upon hearing a high pitched, devilish squeal he nonchalantly glanced up, groaning with fatigue. He vaguely noticed the group massacring a poor other group consisting of the little green vermin known as goblins.

Deren felt no need to contribute to the onslaught as it seemed that no humans were endangered by the pathetic creatures. He remained limp on top of his canine companion whilst hugging him, the only thing that he had to hug. Loneliness was hurting Deren, however he didn't feel comfortable starting conversation. @Clockwork Syringe @xEmoBunnehx @revoir

The goblins were falling left and right by Orlando's katana and Kala's Anguish. It was obvious that they were stronger than the goblins and a rush suddenly overcame Orlando, but he shook it off and realized something. This bloodshed was not right at all even though the goblins started this. To avoid any other bloodshed, Orlando needed to extract a surrender from the leader so he scanned the battlefield for their commander. After scanning for a minute or two while simultaneously killing any goblin that attacked him, he located the leader clad in a bone headdress with feathers armed with a large club and what looked to be a short sword across his back. Orlando began to rush at him while trying to avoid killing anymore goblins if he could avoid it.

@xEmoBunnehx @revior @Vulpes

Kala was far too absorbed in all the bloodshed and fighting to think other wise. It wasn;t until she caught Orlando moving toward the leader that she realized this wasn't likely the best idea. Maybe. Goblins were an easy kill, so she hadn't really taken notice how many she had slain until she saw the bodies. "Oops." She muttered before trying to slow herself down. Perhaps it was not the goblins' fault for attacking but rather theirs'. Had they walked into goblin territory? Probably. Who knew what these mounts had. Maybe more drakes like Norok? Dragons? Giant lizards? Regardless, the creature killing wasn't the purpose they were here..it was Rok and these goblins slowed them down in getting to him. With a heavy sigh, Kala would leave Orlando to figure out how to stop the onslaught. Whether that be through killing the leader or negotiating.

@Clockwork Syringe @revior @Vulpes

Deren hadn't even been watching the battle, he'd been watching the back of his eyelids. It wasn't until baron had yelped and dodged one of the little critters that Deren had moved. He leaped off of his companion, lunging at the oppressor that had tried to hurt his steed and oppressed him back, by impaling his skull with a rapier. With a nonchalant upwards flick the sword burst through the top of the goblin's cranium, with a shower of brain and blood. Out of agitation, Deren felt the need for vengeance.

He charged into the swarm of enemies, swiping, thrusting and parrying with ease, he almost felt pity for them, however they had disturbed his sleep. He hadn't noticed that Orlando wanted this to end, or that Kala had slowed down, as he raced through the crowd, causing death after death. @xEmoBunnehx @revior @Clockwork Syringe

Everything is a blur, and his head is dizzy. What happened? He asked himself, but he could not divine an answer. The grayish blue sky can be seen briefly while he struggles to open his eyes and he became slowly away of the bites of the cold winds. But alas, he found difficulty waking up. The sleep felt so long, a dreamless sleep. But then, sounds of battle reaches his ears. The class of steel and the slicing of flesh. Ah yes, like the day of the ambush, when everything had gone to hell. Not this time, he thought with his hazy mind, this time, none of you will live the tell the tale. His eyes then burst open and he beholden the open sky with the cold threatening to take him back to sleep.

With some difficulty, Joshua got himself back onto his feet, dirt still clinging onto his apparels. It seems he had been sleeping on hard barren ground, though he doesn't quite remember laying down there in the first place. Still drowsy, he looks about and saw Orlando and Kala fending off some little green man, perhaps from outer space. Or are those the other kind of little green man, the ones related to the big green man? No matter, there's no need to know where they came from, the Adventurers sure didn't. He looked around a little more and saw another on his mount, being rather melancholic. What was his name? Darren? Duran? Dare Devil? Speaking of mounts... Yes, now it's coming back.

Joshua was ridding with Kala, having so kindly offered him a ride when he was uncomfortable with his own. And apparently, he had fallen asleep on his way here. It seems to be a habit of his to fall asleep during rides. He sure hopes that he didn't drool on her, no doubt she'll hack his head off if he did.

Done with sorting out his thoughts, Joshua noticed that Orlando and Kala had stopped fighting and lets out a sigh, he realized what was going on.

"Just had to be the goody-two-shoe don't you?"

Joushua muttered beneath his breath.

"You're gonna overextend one of these days and get yourself killed."

His tone was heavy and filled with a dark mood, feeling quite irritable at what he believes amount to be egoism at display.

Silently, he approaches Kala.

"Uhh, you sure we shouldn't be covering him? You know, in case things go bad."

Once again, Joshua's tone was carefree, his previous irritation seemingly vanished into the depths on his mind.

"Actually, hold that thought."

Joshua the readies his bow and took an arrow from his quiver. With a light draw, he aimed for the melancholic boy, now being rather murderous all of a sudden. For a moment, he halted his breath and then... Release! And the arrow struck the ground by the melancholic boy's foot, hopefully gaining his attention.

"Oi, boy!"

He called, despite being the younger one.

"Don't go crazy on your own and pay attention!"

As Orlando ran towards the leader, some of the goblins, although very stupid, realized what he was trying to do and attempted to block him. Although it slowed him down, he was not deterred as he cracked the base of his hilt against the forehead of some of the goblins and even sliced some of them across the chest. Plowing through the enemies, he had just reached the leader when the leader himself, or herself, Orlando couldn't tell, raised a club and screamed, "LOK'TAR OGAR!" and lumbered at Orlando thinking that they could easily crush him with the massive club they carried. Although it seemed that the goblin had done this before, he hadn't fought someone like Orlando who simply dodged the club and struck the base of the leader's right hand causing him to drop the club. The goblin then jumped backwards and drew the short sword from his back, ~Now we're getting somewhere~ Orlando muttered. The two then clashed steel as they began to fight, Katana to Short Sword.

Kala, now more focused, had became away of a few things. One, the guy with the rapier was up and moving. Two, Joshua had spoken to her. He also owed her from the droll on her left shoulder. Three, Orlando was fighting the leader; which could only mean they were aloud to let loose..right? Kala reverted back to her previous speed, hacking down enemies faster as she replies to the newly awoken Joshua. "He can handle himself. If he needs someone or looks like she does then I'll go help." She replied in her usual dull tone. It was clear that Kala had complete control in this situation, or at least seemed to.

Deren jolted with surprise when an arrow struck the ground by his foot, its oscillations generating a ralidly undulating note. The rhythm of his blade dance had been disrupted. He felt somewhat offended at being called a boy, and didn't take kindly to being shouted at, his sleep had been disturbed. He felt inclined to ignore the comment, everyone else was fighting. He wavered as he stepped back, looking between Joshua and the goblins trying to murder him, knocking their attacks aside as if they were using inflatable swords. The now muddy ground from the charging of goblins was also an issue, Detention would occssiobaly find himself almost slipping, using his arms for balance, and realising that his rapier was still in hand, and had just sliced a furious goblin.

"What do I need to pay attention to?" He shouted somewhat angrily at Joshua, "everyone is killing goblins!" He remarked. He continued to strafe .backwards as his attnstion SAS diverted from his foes. @xEmoBunnehx @revior @Clockwork Syringe

Ashelynn's frame froze upon the beast, caught off guard by Alex's words. The individual was actually describing the view before him. Magnanimity? No, her companion was perhaps too simple-minded to use kindness in such a way. This was not to say she saw the individual as naive nor moronic, but rather that his altruistic nature should be predictable at this point. She always held a medium view on every individual, not allowing favor to slip between either side of the scale. 'Good' and 'Evil' were merely topics from standpoint, leaving 'trust' as a disposable entity. Perhaps this was why she was caught off guard by the excessive kindness generated from him. The balance seemed awkwardly tilted leaving little room to stand in the middle.

A light curl met the edge of Ashelynn's lips, an uncontrollable physicality as her mind could register nothing but the hilarity of such an uncouth individual. More so when his words were twisted between kindness, flattery, and self-degradation. Her dulled eyes dared not to approach the speaking individual, locking forward with her lower face buried within the scarf-like sleeve upon her cloak. These efforts were made to hide away the peaceful smile that was placed upon her. He even went the extra mile to make such a baseless oath upon his mortal soul. Only one word could meet such an individual, one who helplessly tried to be selfless*. He seemingly dodged everything she would say time and time again, going an additional mile even when she complained.

"Idiot.." her voice rang lightly, but with a certain clarity. Unlike her general monotonous tone that made everything feel like it was read out, this one was released with energy.

Allowing a moment of silence to pass, Ashelynn regained her normal composure. Idly tossing the empty stick off to the side, opposite of Alex, before placing her hands firmly on the back of her steed. She was allowing herself to become too distracted with such meager luxuries. She already held a key to regaining something close to what she has lost, but with simple speculation she could not forward this information to Alex, even with his prior announcement. No, she needed to meet with that girl from before. Surely they were still being followed, after all, the female seemed adamant in her resolve.

"When we approach the coasts nearing the DeathGrin Mountains there should supposedly be a port town. Perhaps we can take to the open ocean for a short excursion as we regain bearing. After all, in the waters we face little chance of rumors catching our tail. " Such was her mild excuse, though true, it was not quite the main objective. On the mainland there were many places to hide from sight, but on the open water their pursuer would be forced reveal themselves. Unfortunately, this also meant she would entirely rely on Alex. But at the same time, this would test his meddlesome resolve. "Securing a boat will probably be our biggest difficulty."

"What to pay attention to?" was it? Orlando is fighting the leader and Kala is doing her thing (that is to say, fighting) as well. Joshua sighs, at the end of the day, everyone was just doing their own thing. Not to blame them of course, this party was not formed long ago, lack of unity is to be expected. And without knowing Orlando prior, it would look just like he's trying to take down the leader. Joshua can't expect the boy to think that they're doing anything more than killing goblins.

To make a show of it, with an arrow, Joshua struck down a goblin close by the melancholic boy but not within range of his weapon.

"Stay close to your allies and be careful about running on alone. You're fine since these are just goblins, but against tougher opponents you are going to be in trouble very quickly. Never charge in alone, you hear!"

Nice save! Joshua thought to himself, though also hating himself for being less than observant about what it looks like and simply acted on what he knows but others may not. But that aside, what now? End of the day, everyone are just killing goblins. I suppose I should be supporting the new guy while keeping watch on Orlando, he decided in his head, a hell lot of pain but that's why I switch to ranged weaponry in the first place.
