Orlando had been fighting the leader who surprisingly had kept up with him. Unfortunately for the goblin leader it was time for this to end. Now he decided that the best tactic would be do try to disarm him and extract his surrender. After they clashed blades once more it was time for his plan to be put into action. He started to put more pressure on the goblin by attacking faster and the goblin leader began to try to keep up with him. Sadly for him, the leader was not able to keep up all the time as he received a katana hilt to the chest when the leader had left an opening. Staggered, the goblin leader attempted to counterattack with a very sloppy move, but Orlando simply sidestepped him and swung his sword at the goblin's sword. Although when they had clashed before, the goblin's blade flew out of his hand due to his prior staggering. Orlando then held his blade in front of his face and said, "You have lost, call off your forces!" The leader took a visible horn off his belt and blew it to get the attention of his tribe. The goblins then suddenly stopped fighting as the leader began to speak. "Ogar! We leave now!" The leader then began to leave, but Orlando had a question for him, "Where can we find Rok?" The leader then pointed in the direction that the path took through the mountain. "Scary big man that way," the leader replied as he then left taking his tribe with him. Orlando then sheathed his katana and walked over to the group. "Well they won't be bothering us anytime soon. Also we're going in the right direction to get to Rok."

@revior @Vulpes @xEmoBunnehx

Deren hunched over and rested his hands on his knees. At the beginning of the fight, Derek had been fine, but after the distraction and a loss of flow, Deren had started to tire. He panted lightly as he carefully treaded back towards his Mount, relieved by the sound of metal scraping as he carefully sheathed his rapier. He nodded thankfully to Orlando as he made his way back to Baron.

He gently stroked his companion's flanks as he lethargically clambered on top of him, and lay down in his usual manner, continuing his interrupted sleep. He wondered if Joshua would continue to be irrational, or if they had just had a bad start, or maybe Deren was being the irrational one. He closed his eyes and let Baron follow the others as he fell into a slumber, his breathing now slower and calmer.

Once again Alex was startled by what Ashelynn had said. Not the term itself, but with the energy within that single word. Smiling lightly to himself, as any time he could bring out energy to her words was a victory for him. Then he took in her words afterward, and began nodding to himself, plans whirling in his mind. He was sure he could easily get a boat for the two of them, though he wasn't sure if he actually knew how to navigate one. But first and foremost, they needed to get to the port town and from there, it would be up to him to ensure that they got off the mainland as quickly as possible.

"In which case, we better make haste. While on foot the Denizens couldn't get to that port fast enough, they may have sent a messenger bird in their place. If we ride into town on our mounts, they will know who we are, and if they are armed and ready to fight us, everything will go down the drain. Best we get there sooner so that no rumors ruin our chances of getting out to see." He pauses and glances over at her. "So unless you have a different idea, I say we go full speed and from there I'll find us a boat the moment we get into town."

He pauses again to take a glance at the sky. No birds flying overhead, which means that they were either safe for now, or a nasty surprise was waiting for them. Scowling to himself, a sudden realization hit him. In terms of strength, he was weak. And that was a problem, but just as he was about to get into a downward spiral of self-degradation, he snapped out of it once again. First make sure Ashelynn is safe, and THEN he can beat himself up about his own weakness. Looking at her once again, he shook his head and let out a small chuckle. "And while I very well may be an idiot, that doesn't change the fact that I will continue to do what I am doing until my promise is fulfilled."

@Kel Vas

What a mess. Such was his impression as he over looks the battle. In the end, the goblins took off, but it wasn't as if we're all friends now. They'll just go and attack someone else next time and there's a chase they'll run into them later. The whole thing was more or less a wasted effort as far as he can see. And then, thanks to some mix ups in communication, Joshua and the new guy sort of got off the wrong foot. Man, he thought, this is just like the time with Kala. I might just be terrible at this. And while they work well together, it seem that this party still has little unity, everyone just runs off to do their own thing. Perhaps the assignment of roles is in order. What a mess.

Joshua releases yet another sigh, though this time, he lets loose his troubles along with it. No point worrying about all that now. He'll just have to focus on what can be done at this point.

Refreshed, Joshua calls out to Orlando.

"It's good to know that we're heading the right way and all that, but perhaps we should prepare ourselves before going onward. We all remember what happened last time don't we? I suggest we assign a role to each of us and decide on a formation. And without Roku here, we are a bit low on firepower, so I would prefer if we are more defensive and quiet. What do you say?"

@Clockwork Syringe @Vulpes @xEmoBunnehx

Kala watched as all the goblins ran off. Huh. That easy? She wondered before placing the giant blade Anguish on her right shoulder and turn toward Orlando. Joshua was right, as much as she hated to admit it; their party needed rolls and a formation of the sorts. Hopefully they could all get to Rok then discuss that. With a sigh, her eyes would drift to Joshua, "Kid. We're out in the open. Best we move on to Rok before talking about that." She said then put Anguish on her back and walked over to her dear 'little' Norok. Kala pet her scaly drake before she climbed on and waited for Joshua to do the same. Maybe this time the kid wont droll on me..

@revior @Clockwork Syringe @Vulpes

"I'm in agreement with that," Orlando remarked as he continued to walk over until he was at the group before climbing up on Asgar, his Lion. "However since Roku was a big contributor to our group power like you've stated, we have to be careful in assigning roles. Everyone can handle themselves in a fight, but I believe that some should stay in front of others." Orlando turned to Joshua, "You're good with that bow from what I briefly saw and you're good with swords too so I have no qualms about you providing support with arrows so you should stay behind us in the rear. I'd rather not risk a surprise attack that could cripple your ranged capacities." He then turned to Kala and Deren, "Kala, you and Deren should stay behind my mount to provide protection to myself or Joshua when the situation calls for it. As for myself, I'll take the front so that if anything happens i'll be the first one hit."

@revior @Vulpes @xEmoBunnehx @Kel Vas

Joshua, following a few steps behind Kala but not yet getting on the mount, continues to speak.

"Actually, it is precisely that we are going to meet Rok that I am proposing this now. There is no guarantee that he'll be friendly. Heck, maybe he'll even challenge us to a duel to 'prove that we are worthy'. I wouldn't put it pass the big guy. Not to mention, we could still get attacked on our way there too. So I say better sooner than later."

Quite swiftly, Orlando decided on a formation, showing a good understanding of the group's capabilities. Though one thing still bother's Joshua.

"I see a problem in that. You are the leader Orlando, if you took a hit and it's fatal, we'll collapse in no time. Best that you stay guarded somewhere in the middle. And perhaps you could send me to scout ahead. I'm quite confident in my stealth capabilities."

@Clockwork Syringe @xEmoBunnehx @Vulpes

"I'm flattered that you're thinking of my safety over your own first, but I understand," Orlando began. "However, if you were to scout ahead, there's only one problem, you don't have a mount and we all do. I wouldn't want you to tire yourself to keep ahead of our group. That being said, I will keep what you said in mind and move myself to the middle when things go down. For now however, the formation should stay as it is. Also, Joshua, two things. First of all, why don't you have a mount in the first place? We all received one. And about Rok, with Kala's help two days ago, I actually knocked him on his back so I doubt he wouldn't forget that."

"Wha-w-weeeeell, there were some... complications..."

Joshua's voice cracks terribly when being questioned about his mount. He knew this day would come, he hoped it didn't and did not want to think about it.

"B-besides, late time we fought Rok, we also had a few dozens Adventurers with us, now it's just four."

A tactical diversion as he would call it, but it would seem that he had drawn too much attention to his mount with his stuttering speak. With all eyes on him, he relents to the pressure And pulls out his whistle.

"Well just so you know, it's a bit hard to be stealthy on this one."

And he blew on it.

It took a moment before "it" appears and with each passing second, Joshua crept closer to Kala, being more comfortable being near her than what is to come. And then, sprinting down from the horizon, a terrifying beast of white fur, red eyes, and long legs. A giant albino spider, the terror of one specific man, Sleipnir.

Without anyone's notice, Joshua was already hiding behind Kala, the closest person around just scary enough to rival the beast, but not enough to deter Joshua from hiding behind.

"Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. I can't, I can't do it, I can't ride on that thing."

Sleipnir tilts it's head downward upon hearing those words seemingly saddened.

"It's not you, it's me! Actually, it is you! So get away!"

Joshua then turns to Orlando, tears welling up in his eyes.

"Y-you see, it's this big, they'll see me before I see them."

Ashelynn's eyes met the ground as her mind began to drift lightly. Alex was correct, the denizens very well could be sending word via messenger bird, if they haven't already. Perhaps it would, indeed, be safest to rush. More so, one had to wonder how far the influence from the banner of the Phoenix would reach. Was it possible for an Adventurer to hide their title and peacefully roam amongst the Denizens? No, she would not allow chance to rule their safety. It was then that the small chuckle tickled her ears, her companion breaking the train of thought. Once more he announced his peculiar resolve. Amongst many things, Alex has proven himself as a stalwart individual.

"A stubborn idiot." She repeated the word, hardly carrying the weight of an insult with it. Though the word was simple, it was one that brought mild relief to her mind for a reason unknown. And without allowing him room to speak, her heels quickly prodded the bears underneath her. With connection made, the creature lurched forward, somewhat off balancing Ashelynn's frame once more until corrections could be made. Lower her form against the more forgiving scales upon the back as if to prevent being knocked off. With the sound of wave along her side, she held little fear of speeding off in front of Alex.

Alítheia, that was the port town that should lay ahead. It's size was lesser, but comparable to even Aparches. Perhaps due to it's location being a decent intersection between the main town of the highlands, and those within the mountains. Like any town, the walls surrounding it were sturdy enough to ward away beasts. Surprisingly, for a commerce town, guard was surprisingly weaker than most. It was definitely an ideal location for adventurers to take to the ocean, if it were not for the previous massacre. But, the banner upon the walls was not that of the Pheonix, but rather a brilliant orange linen engraved with the shape of a lion.

Within the walls one may find the community quite lively. The streets were certainly thriving with Denizens, however none really appeared to wear a single style of clothing. There were traces of culture everywhere, whether it be the fur pelts that certain individuals wore as caps, or the fine silken clothes that adorned others. Perhaps even the nations from further north had citizens within this place.

@Exanis

Kala about burst into laughter at the fact that Joshua had chosen her to hind behind and that he was afraid of such a little cutie. "Awww look at the little guy. He just needs some love." She teased before hopping off Norok and approaching the fluffy beast fearlessly. Kala reached out and gently pet the spider's head. It was so cute. How could he fear such a thing? Kala continued to pet the beast as if it was simply nothing. "You're a good boy..right?" She asked the thing, not expecting an answer as she loved on it. Now..one might note that Kala has a particular liking for animals, or fuzzy. "Come here, Joshua." She demanded, turning her head in his direction. She knew he was a big baby, but afraid of his own harmless mount? Come on.

@revior @Clockwork Syringe @Vulpes

Sleipnir was initially hesitant when Kala approached it, but took to her fairly well, comfortable under her petting. It even snuggled up to her at one point and one could almost see a purring cat within its figure.

Joshua on the other hand was trying to run when Kala turned to him, but his legs had given way and he found himself unable to summon any strength from himself.

"NO!"

He shouted defiantly.

"Why can't you just leave me alone, Sis!"

Sis? As in sister? Why did he say such a thing? Then again, this was like that dream wasn't it? The one he had last night. But Joshua, couldn't remember clearly, he doesn't know what he was talking about, all he knows it that he said something embarrassing and his face lit up in red. Suddenly gaining strength, he leaped from the ground and quickly got away from Kala.

"I-I mean lay off, Fruitcake!"

And that my friends is the end of the young man named Joshua, may he rest in peace.

One might say it was disturbing how fast Kala changed moods at the mention of 'Fruitcake.' Her face became a twist of anger and rage as a visible black cloud loomed over her and her hair seemed to stick up and flow around her.
"Excuse me.." Was all she said between her gritted teeth before she very abruptly walked over to the poor soul, Joshua. Her firsts were clenched tight as she hit him quite hard upon the head, a large orb forming. Before the boy could get away though, she'd grab him by his shirt and lift him a hair or so from the ground until he was level with her eyes. The duo color of them seemed to have a burning flame of pissed in them as she looked the dead man in the eyes.

"My name... IS NOT FRUITCAKE!!"

She shouted. Her voice was loud and angry, almost powerful enough to blow the boy's hair back.

It was clear Kala was not happy about his little 'name' slip there, and her being..well likely bipolar..he'd set her off and angry women were not fun to deal with.

((Lots of exaggerations xD ))

"BOTH OF YOU STOP RIGHT THIS INSTANT!" Orlando uncharacteristically yelled. "I WILL NOT HAVE MY COMRADES ARGUING AND CALLING EACH OTHER NAMES!" Asgar also seemed to roar as well since his master was yelling as well. Orlando turned to him and placed a hand on his mane and quietly said, "No need for that," before turning back to the group. "Now Joshua, everyone was given their mount for a particular reason. You were given a spider for some reason we don't understand yet, however, it has no ill will against you, unlike the spider we saw 2 days ago. He will not hurt you, you just need to accept him. However, if you really think that we'll have a better shot of remaining vigilant, then go ahead and scout. We can deal with your arachnophobia when we reach Rok's site.

@xEmoBunnehx @revior @Vulpes

Chuckling again as Ashelynn repeated her previous insult, though it didn't feel like one, he simply nudged his mount forward and braced himself as it took off, following closely behind Ashelynn. Glancing to the side, he noted that given a few hours at most they would arrive at the town. Looking down at his mount, he urged it forward again, and it began to escalate in speed. Giving Ashelynn's mount a similar look, he hoped that it would get the hint and keep pace with him. He'd rather not leave her behind after all.

Time passed relatively fast for Alexander as he simply rode towards Alítheia. Once it was in sight he slowed down Khloros. Eventually, they arrived at the port town. Glancing about, he noticed the wary looks he and Ashelynn received, though it was fairly justified considering he was riding an undead looking land shark, and this WAS a port town. He wouldn't doubt if there was some folklore about something quite similar to his mount. Nevertheless, he made his way towards the port itself, glancing back every once in a while to make sure that Ashelynn was still following him. Arriving there, he noted each sailor that warily glanced at him, or turned away. Frowning, he continued ambling through the port on his mount, trying to find the one captain that would fit for his and Ashelynn's needs. After a few minutes, he found one. A grizzled looking man who was staring straight at him, and when he started staring back the captain didn't flinch. Smiling thinly to himself, he directed his mount towards the man.

"Aye Cap'n. Me and my companion,-" At this he glances over at Ashelynn, "Are looking for passage to roam the sea for a while, preferably setting sail immediately. We have more than enough of the gold for it, and I'm more than willing to lend a hand on the ship. What say you?"

@Kel Vas

Deren hadn't noticed much of what was happening, he'd been vaguely aware of a formation, and hadn't been surprised that Orlando had said "Kala, you and Deren", nobody was going to directly address him because he was the stranger "boy". Although slightly disappointed in his companions, who he didn't seem to get along with, they were better then the alternative loneliness. The hint of sadness had been visable in his face, until he saw Joshua being scared of his spider.

The comedic scene had left Deren suppressing a laugh. Big boss, condescending tactics man, as Deren formally knew him, had been scared of a spider, albeit a large one. It surprised Deren that he'd been brave enough to call Kala fruitcake, or maybe it was just an ardent attempt to assert dominance. Deren thought that fruitcake was a nickname that had clearly been misused in the past. He remained silent, simply listening and observing.

Apparently Kala had hit Joshua slightly..too hard and knocked the poor soul out cold. The boy was a rag-doll in her grasp and she could only smirk under her mask as she decided it was high time to teach the little bugger a lesson. So, without saying a single word and ignoring Orlando, Kala took the boy over her shoulder and walked back to his adorable little spider. Without hesitation, she laid him on the beast then walked away as if it she had done nothing wrong. After doing so she simply climbed back onto Norok. "Let's get going." She said rather sternly as she lined up behind Orlando and waiting for him to move forward. It would be truly a wondrous sight when Joshua woke up on the thing he feared the most and perhaps it would teach him a lesson about calling Kala 'fruitcake.'

(I wonder if the coding will break, yay for being stuck with my phone during this time!)

With commotion growing, Ashelynn could not help but press herself hard against her mount, lowering her stature further. There was not a shred of silence between those that looked upon them, and those that simply continued their prior duties. It was like a loss in every possible way, she held no directional awareness due to the incapability on concentration. As well, they entered the port town mounted, resulting in the Denizens to cast their attention upon them. Luckily it seemed that her mount was dedicated to following Alex's, which was possibly the only silver lining in this situation. Her steed would jerk in such peculiar directions, bringing curiosity on where exactly there were even going within this town. Without sight, nor proper hearing it was as if she was in a peculiar void of endless sound.

However, on one occasion their pause in movement held firm, her ears barely catching the tail of Alex's words. Alongside it, a hefty breath met the air, smelling strongly of alcohol as the man thought only for a moment.
"If ye' have the coin an' a sturdy back, then I see no reason to deny. " The man stared at Alex, expression stern as he sized the individual before him. At last a boisterous laughter escaped him, "Lucky for you, the cargo arrived a few hours ago. The rest of the crew should be meeting back at the ship within the hour. But that also means you and the lass's arses are ours 'till we reach shore. With that said the man began to walk away, only pausing to deliver his final notes."If ye' go down the line you should find Sam loading the crates. The crates have a big ol' handprint on the side, just hop on the ship those are boarding. We'll talk work and payment when we hit the waters!"

@Exanis

Orlando had finished giving his suggestions when all of a sudden, Kala had Joshua in a rag-doll like grasp. ~Well I guess Joshua has no choice in the matter I suppose,~ he remarked to himself. Seeing Kala place him upon his own mount Sliepnir earned a silent chuckle from Orlando as Kala then climbed back on her own mount. When asked if they were ready to go by Kala, Orlando responded with a grin. "Well not the most effective way to conquer his fears, but it's a start in the right direction I believe. On the subject of getting ready to go, yeah I believe we should get ready."

@Clockwork Syringe @Exanis @revior @Vulpes @xEmoBunnehx @Wandering Hollow

Please reply to the OOC

Good day everyone, with the recent addition of Wandering Hollow to our ranks, a realization has struck. Our current RP is not quite New-Comer friendly, due to the amount of change that has already occurred through the Massacre Route. Furthermore, I am incapable of editing the overview posts to include such vital information that otherwise leaves our new friends lost.

So the question arises, shall we make a new thread?

-When Lana comes back, she would still be the main core GM, that is an unchangeable fact that will not be changed.

Pros

- With a new thread information would be cleanly written, and continuously updated. (Resulting in New-Comers having an easier time adapting.)

- 'Cleaning' threads would be easier, including deleting unnecessary posts.

- Additional tabs can be added.

- A master list of characters can be added, along with their current location / party / interaction cycles.

- Updating the maps section would be easier.

Cons

- We would lose our current page count / post count.

- You have to watch another thread

- You have to transfer your character via Copy + Paste

- For your next post, you will probably need two tabs. (Just so you can remember what you are replying to if need be.)

The path to the King of Berserkers

@Clockwork Syringe @xEmoBunnehx @revior @Vulpes

"And so our Adventurers set forth, entering the treacherous terrain known as the DeathGrin Mountains. The valley was narrow, cliffs facing both sides as if to engulf the passage in darkness. The only light shone within was the simple reflection passing between the ice glossed walls lining their path. Setting aside the wails of the wind tearing through, this valley was relatively quite. However, the unsettling feeling of being watched never ceased despite the goblin's dispersion. As well, the source was now heavily surrounding them. Perhaps this was the soul of the mountain itself spying upon them. But it mattered not, the goal before our Adventurers was clear as they pressed on.

Within time, as the valley met a saddle between the peaks, their entrance was a complete success. Following the mountain path, the adventures were led atop one of the shorter peaks. From that peak, all may note the large structure resting across the way. However, this domain was more tranquil then one would imagine out of such a large man. Along it's edges were trees, a sight that was heavily offsetting due to the otherwise unforgiving lands. Perhaps the best way to describe it's structure was to compare it to a place of worship, how it so peacefully rested upon the mountain face without strain. It flourished with shades of red and white, a gentle earthiness instilled via accents of brown. It was certainly made to be seen, uncaring of those who might seek to cause unrest.

Proceeding towards this land mark the party was forced to descend from the peak, back into the saddle of the mountains. One would think the journey would be easy from here, seeing as the destination was so obviously clear. However, this was the DeathGrin mountains.

The wind picked up into a torrent as they reached the saddle, the white powder of snow creating blinding conditions. Chunks of ice even met the air, pelting Adventurer and mount alike as if in attempt to ward them away. Still they pushed forth, biting through the conditions. When the storm finally broke, one would think they were finally in the clear. The sound of drums, encircling the Adventurers. Though the storm was no longer at it's peak, the white wall still clouded their vision from the source.

"Tar'a Kin, Tar'a Kin, Tar'a Kin" the voices boomed so vibrantly, the land itself resounding the chant. The air felt chill, and not only to the flesh. Torches lit within the masking white, revealing the circle that had long since been around the Adventurers. The drum's beat silenced, and figures were made clear. Around them stood perhaps forty others, all wearing fur clothes, faces painted deep red. Most noteworthy, is the fact that all stood with weapons at the ready, bloodthirst thick within the air. And then he emerged, a taller man baring his chest to the cold, and a bears head adorning his own. Wielding twin axes and leisurely rested to his side. His eyes cast downward upon the group, challenging them in silence. "

" Would this path of massacre never end? Bloodbath after bloodbath, their path seemed so narrow. Or, could there be a new path hidden within this white mist? "

Last edited by a moderator:
As The white mist parted and Orlando saw the large man with a bear head helm, he simply crossed his arms and shook his head. They were not their enemy and he did not want to engage them for bloodsport, however Orlando was not sure that they would read this as they did not want to fight. Being that they were mountain men, they looked to not be a part of Rok's entourage and he hated the idea of killing more people. So Orlando sat upon Asgar and waited.

@xEmoBunnehx @revior @Vulpes @Kel Vas

Kala watched as the great mist parted and the chatting began. For a moment she thought they were summing Rok like before, but it seems that was not the case. As she looked around Orlando, her eyes would land on a man with a bear helmet. Was the only way to get in by proving themselves? Again? With a heavy sigh Kala hoped that was not the case, but knowing their luck..it would be. "Hey Orlando. What if they want a challenger to come forward and prove that we are worthy to see Rok? I think that's a possibility here." She said, her voice low enough so that Orlando the group could hear it, but perhaps not Rok's men unless they were listening rather closely. Kal of course wondered if that was the case..then who would prove their metal for their group?

@Clockwork Syringe @revior @Vulpes

Orlando looked around at the group including himself, Joshua, Kala, and Deren to quickly size everyone up. Joshua had switched to a bow so the suggestion that he could fight for the group was out. He had only seen Deren fight in that instance with the goblins and from the brief glances that he had observed, Deren fought with too much emotion behind his weapon. Kala would be a good choice, except there was the issue that only her and himself knew about, her split personality that was a battle hungry maniac. Although he didn't see the same nature last battle, he did the last time he fought beside her against Rok, Orlando was not willing to take the risk of her dormant nature surfacing. So that left himself, a swordsman who wielded a katana, occasionally two, who could handle himself in a fight and not let his own emotions take over. However, why was that he wondered due to the recent fight in which something like Kala's other personality seemed to surface briefly before being shut out by Orlando's mind. Did it have something to do with his eyepatch and why he refused to remove it even when he slept? All of these questions about his unknown past self swirled about in his mind, but they would have to wait until another time. So as if he acknowledged Kala's question and suggestion, Orlando rode forward on Asgar slightly and then called out to the man, "Why do you stand in our way?"

Smiling back at the captain, Alexander nodded. "Thank ya kindly, Cap'n!" Glancing down at his mount, raised an eyebrow at him. "Well, you heard the man Khloros. Get us to the ship and then you can have a nice long rest." That seemed to motivate the giant land shark as it began to happily trot down the line, looking around for the crates that the captain described, it's tail waving back and forth as if it was a dog, a sight that terrified more than a handful of sailors. Glancing back, Alexander let another sigh of relief as he noted that Ashelynn's mount was still following him and Khloros, averting more than one disaster that would have happened if he had lost them.

Finally finding the ship that the captain spoke of, Khloros walked up he ramp, ignoring the curious glances of the crew who seemed to not truly care that a giant undead looking land shark was boarding their ship. Alexander supposed that their captain somehow sent word ahead, else they may have been startled. Removing himself off of Khloros, Alexander patted it's head and watched it walk to an unoccupied corner of the deck and curl up into a ball, proceeding to go to sleep. Granted, it did earn such rest after the frantic pace in which they went at to arrive at this port so quickly. Glancing over at Ashelynn, he addressed her. "And here we are. I told you I'd deal with the specifics, and now we are on a ship, off to enjoy a nice little cruise. I do believe that we'll likely depart within the next few hours, quite possibly within the next hour if the captain decides that we must make haste. I'll likely have to do some manual labor with the sailors, so you won't be able to enjoy my wonderful company the whole trip. I'm also sure I have more than enough gold to cover the fair for both of us, so that should be no problem either. Really, all you need to do is simply relax, and I'll deal with the rest. Though, if you happen to need anything, I strongly encourage you to tell me so I can make sure you get what you desire." With that said, he walked over to his mount, and sat down, leaning against it as if it was one giant pillow.
