The night's air proved chilling, especially with the winds picking up as distance was made. The air whipped at her with every bound the creature made, her hands barely sheltered by the spine-like scales which she clung to. Luckily, upon the middle it's back the scales proved smoother than the rest, so at least the ride wasn't completely unforgiving. But still, this cold air only proved to make her eyelids feel heavier, the truth of time actually sinking in within this steady tempo of movement. Before rest could find it's way, the beast slowed, somewhat forcing Ashelynn to regain awareness. More so, it slowed even further when the other creature could be heard at it's side. Out here she was at a disadvantage, so it could very well be that Alex spotted a source of potential hazard. However, what greeted her was the topic of speculation. She expected the topic of blindness to come up eventually, seeing as it was a subject of burden in practically any situation.
"I am." She responded lightly, seeing no reason to delve into excuses. After all, it was not as if she was attempting to lead Alex to believe otherwise. Nor was there a reason for her to feel regret or guilt over some handicap, as it would do nothing to change her situation. However, her senses quickly clung to the idle weight upon her hip, checking for it's continued presence whilst her arms were still being used to maintain stature upon the creature. The imagery of the red haired girl glaring at her flashed throughout her mind for a short moment. Besides, there was further potential within this world, if there was an ability that allowed someone to appear with such clarity before the blind, then there was something further she could do. "Though you should not inconvenience yourself with such knowledge." Her words held no strain, almost as if the topic held little interest.
"We should perhaps find an encampment before too long. Whether or not we have to remove a few inhabitants before doing so. " She introduced the topic that proved a more immediate need. Blind or not, it was simply recklessness to move too far within the night. "If we chance upon a creature camp, it would be advisable to seek shelter within it. Unless of course, you happen to be experienced in crafts and camping."
