Fantasy A Castle of Roleplayers

Princess. The word played in her thoughts, repeating itself unnecessarily but doing it all the same, If this isn't a hoax then I'm a princess... she thought. That would be a new concept. Arya blinked, her striking green eyes taking the place in, "This is so weird..." she thought out loud, Wait can princess's wear skinny jeans? she wondered, it would be a total bummer if they couldn't.

"Thanks." came the mumbled reply, green eyes flickering between the floor and Kanashimi's. As soon as the chessboard was pulled out, Gem's easy demeanor began to return and she felt a grin tug at the corner of her lips. She loved chess. "I'm honestly mediocre at best but I do enjoy a good game or two." She shrugged sheepishly and swept her hair over one shoulder, tucking a stray brown lock behind her now exposed ear and raised a brow, settling into a seat. "White or black?" She hadn't lied about her lack of skill when it came to chess, she just simply wasn't adept enough at reading others and what moves they might make, she would however, gauge how seriously Kanashimi seemed to take the game and act accordingly. She'd do her best at least.

Ana's eyes grew wide at the mention of jobs. Was she actually going to be forced to interact with people? "Th- the letter didn't say anything about jobs... Did it?" She tries to swallow her worry, but the last time she'd gotten a job, she'd gotten so nervous she couldn't even speak to the customer and had gotten fired on her first day. "V- viscountess is good too... I think." Ana loved history, but no one in their right mind could keep all the thousands of levels of hierarchy straight in their head.

"It's funny that you ask, if you can not tell I am a knight and Ser Rogar is my name. Some call me Rogar The Strong but it's just a nickname the knight I squired for gave me," Rogar said with a hardy laugh. "I never got your name madam," Rogar said with a questioning voice as he clipped off a rag from his side and wiped his sweating beaded brow.

Pippa Clarys Evans

Location: Inside the One true Castle | Mood: Awe-struck | Time: Who knows

Pippa continues walking through the huge castle and keeps snapping random pictures of things. Whether it be of the rug beneath her feet, or of the throne His Majesty sat upon. Her phone buzzes. She gets it out from her jacket pocket and turns it on. A text message from her best friend, Phil. Hey Pip! How's the "One True Castle" situation going? Is it fun so far? Anything "photogenic"? Pippa texts back, ERHMAHGAWSH YES!!! Everything's so BEAUTIFULLLLLL. 'Nilla likes it here too. I just can't figure out WTH I'M SUPPOSED TO BE DOING. She turns off her phone, as it usually takes Phil a few minutes to answer. After taking a few more pictures, her phone buzzes again. I bet you can't, knowing your luck. So who's your "roommate"? Any perves I need to personally fly over to beat up? Pippa rolls her eyes. No. Actually, I haven't found my room yet. And I really don't know whether or not I actually have a roommate. She turns off her phone and puts it back up. Walking forward, she wanders around, searching for someone that looks like they might know where her room might be.

Arorua watched the girl leave even though he had yet to introduce himself "it can't be helped I guess" he then turned a heel and walked down one of the corridors there was priceless vases and paintings that hung along the autumn colored walls it must had been the east wing of the castle and just like the outside the atmosphere was fresh and beautiful. It will look great on canvas, he could send around the world and be a painter known for his works of the mysterious island if he would be permitted it may attract unwanted attention to the King and this secret beauty, so he cant count his chickens before they hatch. "I wonder if there is a ballroom around here it would be so much fun to act fancy!" he didn't fear shouting since there was no one in sight.

Juniper replied, "Juniper. Juniper Alani" she said as they got inside the castle which seemed to be grander as they became closer. She then was reminded that she was a Squire and him being a Knight. "Oh. Great" she though as she looked ahead with no distinct emotion in her face. She was just looking ahead at the castle, hoping that she would just fall asleep in her own room.

@jole875

Gem nodded and suppressed her growing grin, studying the board momentarily, she contemplated a few moves before brushing her fingertips over one of her knight's. She moved the piece from it's starting position to what would be C3 from her perspective. "Alright, your move."

Arya grabbed her Violin's case if she wanted to play then now was the time to do it, seeing she was alone. She quickly positioned the violin's shoulder rest, tightening the bow and quickly eyeing its hair to make sure none of them were loose, Everything's good, and 3, 2, 1, She stuck a high note, playing a classical song with a joyous melody, since she was near the castle the violins brilliant sound flowed threw the hallway and she relished in its lovely sound. After finishing that song she switched to a pleasant Irish jig, something that people usually danced and clapped too. She danced around a little as she played her red hair flying around with her and she laughed a bit, messing up a tad but not really caring, she was honestly having to much fun to care.

It was an interesting game, that was for sure. Gem was noticeably inferior to Kanashimi in skill, but nonetheless she kept him on his toes throughout the game, and now only five pieces remained on the board. Three were Kanashimi's, a pawn, queen, and his king, while the two others were Gem's, her king and queen. Kanashimi nodded before gesturing at Gem. "Your turn. Will you take the pawn with your queen, risking it's loss but also giving yourself an advantage and a opportunity, take the queen with yours ensuring a draw and the loss of your queen, or will you move up your king ensuring another draw, but without losses on either side?"

@GemShem

Gem contemplated for the longest time, brows drawn together in unmistakable concentration. The way she saw it, a draw was better than a loss and although she didn't want to seem spiteful, she did however consider taking Kanashimi's queen a last act of defiance. With slightly mixed feelings, Gem made the move, regretfully signing her queen's death warrant and slumped back into the chair. "I suppose that answers your question then?"

Kanashimi took the time to sweep off the chess board before speaking again, carefully putting it back in his suitcase before leaning back in his chair and sighing. "I have one last question that I would like for you to answer honestly. It won't affect my opinion of you, just reaffirm what I have deduced so far." He took a long, deep breath before continuing. "If this match represented a real struggle between nobles in the future, and all of your pieces represented my life, would you still have made that move, dooming me to death by the enemy noble? If you're up for it, I'd also like a reason why, but I won't push. You don't even have to answer."

@GemShem

"No. People aren't chess pieces in a game. People are not to be toyed with and you can't bend them to your will, otherwise they'll snap and break, I refuse to do as such." the answer came without a thought, an automatic response. Gem studied Kanashimi closely, green eyes boring into his. Despite his outward demeanor, the game and question showed that there was much hidden beneath the surface. "What is your opinion of me Kanashimi?"

"This place is gorgeous! I can't believe somethin' like this exists!" Genieva shouted gleefully as she was pulled along by Alaska. And it was. The castle was the most beautiful structure Genieva had ever had the luck to lay eyes on and she'd been to Ireland.

"We get to live here. Oh my God we get to live here!" Genieva whooped again and then smiled manically when Alaska mentioned a ballroom.

"Do you dance? Cause dude, that's sweet." She would have held her hand out for a high-five but the two remained in motion and such an idea was not a possibility at the moment. Instead she settled for running her free hand through her short hair and pushing her glasses up her forehead and onto her head to act as a headband.

@Clear Water

He just smiled and shrugged, picking up his suitcase. "I don't have an opinion, as it would be unfair to judge you by just what I have seen so far." He looked towards her, holding out his hand. "Do you have anything you would like for me to carry? The king might kill me if he sees you carrying your load while I'm around, and I'd like to be a bit helpful."

@GemShem

Gem's face remained hard for only a moment longer before she forced an easier demeanor to overtake her features. She shrugged and emptied her pockets, her second pair of glasses and heftier hardrive in each hand. "Only things I brought. I apparently travel light." She still contemplated Kanashimi's abrupt question but brushed it off, now wasn't the time to bring anything up. At mention of the king however, Gem immediately thought back to the ornate double doors she'd long since abandoned, maybe they led to his whereabouts. Maybe she could finally meet this sketchy figure and find out just exactly what was going on....

"Is the gold stash here?"

A high mischievous squeaky voice rang through the empty hallway as Ravian pushed every door open to look for that valuable treasure room. Her plan is already hundred percent complete, first she gets to look for the said room then stash her loot bag with money then she goes home sneakily.

The girl even forgot about the fact that she gets to be a servant for that...um, let's see she forget the name but it's something like Alaska. Now that she thinks about it, what does that envelope means anyways? But she can't pay any attention to any of that unless she finds the treasure. Her eyes sparkled when she saw another door, probably this time something valuable is in there. She opened it but alas, it's lock. She groaned, hoe could she forget her magical hairpin which could open every door with the right tactic.

"Dang it! Where am I anyways? What a big castle." she puffed her cheeks, irritated by everything and mainly because she's lost and she haven't saw anybody for a while. She continued to Pam the frustrating long ass hallway with red carpet all over the ground. She wondered just what the king wanted from them, she means he let them stay in his castle. How important could his business be?

Nienna nodded. "I suppose it probably is. All I know of old things like that are Kings and Queens and Lords and Ladies. I have no idea what it means." Nienna looked around, checking for others and possibly a person in charge. "So, what do you think we are supposed to do next?" I should hope that we are going to be shown around and told what exactly we're doing here, Nienna thought, slightly enraged. Not only were they all placed there, not knowing who they were invited by, but no one came out to greet hem? No, instead a bunch of letters with meaningless assignments came out. What a great way to welcome your guests.

X stared around the massive halls and rooms. Well, it was a castle, she'd give the guy that much.

He was still a filthy kidnapper, though.

There were other people, wandering just as aimlessly as she was. They seemed... oddly calm, for the victims of what would seem to be a mass kidnapping. She noticed a girl fiddling with her phone, and hurried to intercept her. Her own phone couldn't get any service- or, more accurately, couldn't seem to get any service that might interfere with her remaining where she was. She could get on the app store, use the internet- but try to send a text, make a call, or even use chat or email? No sell. Bastard had messed with her phone, and there would be words.

As soon as she was relatively sure he wasn't going to kill her.

"Ah, 'scuse me for interrupting, but are you able to text and make calls and stuff? My phone's been bizarre since I got... abducted, basically, and I haven't been able to contact anyone. So... maybe we can help each other out?"

Pippa Clarys Evans

Location: One True Castle somewhere | Mood: Lost (is that a mood?) | Time: Who the fuck knows?

Pippa decides to pull her phone back out and opens "Crossy Road". Someone comes into the room, and she notices, but decides that her game was more important than human interaction. The person calls to Pippa. Dammit! Pippa turns around in surprise. Just as she looks away from the creen, she dies. Fuck. "What? Y-yeah, sure," Pippa hands the girl her phone. I bet the king disabled it somehow because she was reluctant to come. That's probably why it isn't working. Mine still works because I came out of my own free will.

X grinned at the girl as she handed over her phone. "Thank you so much- you have no idea how much you're helping me right now- seriously, just- oh, son of a-!" The second she opened the phone app, no signal. Crafty bastards, how did they even do that? She sighed, handing the phone back. "It was worth a shot. Thanks, anyway. Say, what's your name? I'm X."

Pippa Clarys Evans

Location: One True Castle | Mood: Neutral | Time: I don't know

Pippa takes the phone back and shuts it down, closing all the apps beforehand. Shit. I just hope that it'll work when I try later. "I'm Pippa. Nice to meet you, X," Pippa says, offering X a small, but genuine, smile. "Hey um, do you know where the hell we're supposed to go? Or what we're even supposed to be doing? I was looking for my room, although I don't know how I'd be able to tell which room is mine," she adds, laughing awkwardly.

Aroura soon learned he had ventured a bit too far from his original location of which he did not know how to get back to. Nearby sat a window that he used to find his location. This was the second floor facing the garden. This is when he had an idea the bush below would break his fall if he were to jump. He then proceeded to make that mistake and skin both knees "not as bad as I thought it would be" he spoke before getting out of the bush to the garden path.

"Do I dance? Ha! Every cultured lady, especially a queen, should know how to properly dance!"

Alaska shouted in a breathy voice, slowing her pace as she reached two enormous double doors. It seemed everything in this castle was super-sized.

"I'm thinkin' this is it," Alaska whispered, clasping her hand around the two sculpted bronze handles. With a quick pull, the doors budged open with a loud screech echoing through the corridors. With one final shove, the doors began to open further by themselves, and the ballroom was then exposed. Black and white checkered marble floors reached from corner to corner of the elegant expanse, and enormous stone pillars held up the high ceilings. Hanging from the ceiling was a large, wheel shaped chandelier that cast a candle-light glow on everything in the room. Fancy would be an understatement.

"I learned how to dance as soon as I got the letter; thank god for youtube videos, am I right?" Alaska laughed, stepping through the doors in to the middle of the room. "If I'm going to be completely honest, I only learned because I wanted to impress him. The king, I mean. Weird right? Like I've never even met him, yet I really care what he thinks about me." Alaska said. She walked around to the red drapes hanging from the balcony, touching the silky fabric with awe.

"Hey, do you want a lesson?"
