Fantasy A Castle of Roleplayers

Gem made her way up to the gates, just generally strolling along and inwardly scolding herself for her previous awkward social encounter. She wasn't exactly a professional when it came to interactions with people of the same species, she readjusted her glasses and cringed at the blemishes in her vision. She removed them, still half stumbling down the path of Purgatory and wiping the lenses on the fabric of her hoodie, cringing at the indistinct blurriness of her surroundings. "....blind as a bloody bat..." She muttered, pursing her lips in distaste as she continued cleaning her trusty and durable frames.

Alaska grinned at the bag of gummies, sticking her hand in and snatching one, before popping the worm thing in to her mouth. Alaska always used to have a sweet tooth, but it faded over the years. The gummy was sugary and slimy, and it made her eyes go squinty because of the sourness. She liked it.

"Oh, I don't know the king either. But I got Queen." Alaska said, licking the sugar off her right thumb and wiping her hands on her jeans. She didn't even show half the excitement she was feeling in that moment, hearing the word "Queen" echoing in her mind. Alaska dug around in her back pocket and pulled out the envelope, studying the page.

"Did you get a servant too? I'm not really sure how I feel about having one."

Alaska said to the girl, reading the name of the person who was assigned to being her alleged servant.

"Ravian McQueen. Hm" she thought, wondering who this person was.

"I hope I get to meet them soon."

"Yeah," Nienna murmured as she gawked at the looming building, her eyes as wide as saucers. "I still have doubts about this king, though. I mean, inviting a bunch of random people to his palace, and ranking them in an ancient way? What kind of person does that?" She gripped her envelop in her hand tightly, almost crushing it in her fist. She loosened her grip a little and glanced at the white paper, before looking back at Anabeth. "Oh, yeah. Did I hear you say something about your rank? What is it, if you don't mind me asking?"

@giraffesarebetter

The girl nods. "It's weird. I bet he's some psycho like the rich dude from Would You Rather." She says with a laugh, a real one this time. "Oh, was that out loud? I got Baroness." Ana answers, a bit awkwardly. She'd not expected such a high ranking, and she certainl hadn't meant to speak out loud. Talking to herself was something she did when she was alone, but it did occasionally happen in public without Ana noticing. "What did you get?"

@dragonslayr

"Yes, There was this Kings of Kings who sent me here" Juniper said she looked ahead of the castle. Juniper found talking company and a possible knight if she was going to be a squire. The idea of a squire to her was a bit absurd. Yes, A squire was only a rank lower than a Knight, but was going a lot of work before she would be Knight'd. She didn't have too long of a path before she ended up at 'King of Kings's Castle of Medivalness'. She then said, "So what Rank are you" she asked "And, what's your name?" Juniper added.

Genieva popped in a handful with a loud snap. Than with a dramatic gasp she hopped in front of Alaska and bowed with a flourish.

"Well hello your Majesty! Tis the greatest honor to be in your presence-no! Within a mile of you m'lady!" She grinned toothily and stood straight then once again offered her hand.

She stuffed the bag into the back pocket of her overalls and waggled her fingers in what she believed to be an enticing manner. "
If you would be so kind as to grasp my hand, we could hurry along this expedition and get to the real fun part, whadda say?" Genieva's haughty tone dropped towards the end of her spiel when she became caught up in pure excitement and anticipation.

@Clear Water

Alaska blinked for a straight 5 seconds before the hysterics began to kick in. Grabbing Genieva's hand, Alaska laughed and laughed, her tummy tensing up.

"Yes, I suppose we should stop dawdling and get right to business!" Alaska spoke, her eyes gleaming with enthusiasm. Tightening her grip on the hand of Genieva, she began to advance to the castle. There were so many thoughts floating in her mind.

"What if this was a joke?" Alaska asked her companion, biting her lip worriedly.

"I mean, really. Like, Kings? Queens? Castles? Kingdoms? I can barely wrap my brain around it," Alaska sighed, running her fingers over the gold lettering of the envelope. They were approaching the castle now, and boy was it big. The walk along Purgatory Path was terrifying enough, what with it being a freaking monster bridge and all, but the most terrify part was the fact the the castle was something she was going to be living in, not just something she was seeing from a postcard. It was real, it was there, and it was ginormous.

"Your thoughts so far, Miss Genieva?" Alaska asked in a shaky voice.

@Genieva Von Bubbles

Arya rubbed her head, trying not to wince. Was it really necessary for them to pull me by the hair? she wondered looking around the purgatory path. She had seen a few other people and they mostly seemed to be teens, a castle made of teens, this is gonna go well. She thought the corner of her lips turning up ever so slightly. She noticed a flash in the air and looked up seeing a glint of something shiny, a letter? It fluttered in the air and she chased after it, eventually grabbing it once it got to a height she could reach.

She inspected it, it was white with her name is a fancy gold cursive, knowing it was hers she opened it up carefully and pulled out the piece of paper. Arya blake: Princess. Wait What! Princess! her a princess. Wait do I have to call the King and Queen Mom and Dad? She wondered. That would be awkward if she had too. Arya threw her bright red hair over her shoulder and looked forward, the castle now coming into view, "Oh my gosh" it was huge. and not just big, big it was completely Ginormous and she was brilliantly amazed.

Pippa Clarys Evans

Location: Pippa's Bedroom | Mood: Insomious | Time: 11: 34 p.m.

Pippa's eyes flick from left to right as she scrolls through an e-mail from her best friend. She lets out a little yelp as a yellowing letter sails through her window and into her room, landing right in front of her hands. She picks it up, examining it. Unfolding the strange odd yellow sheet of paper, she reads it, growing more exited by the sentence. But when she reads that there will be a three item limit to what she could bring, she frowns. All of the work she's done tracking the government's moves, down the drain! She obviously couldn't bring all of her equipment. There was too much.
Great. She gathers her three items: Vanilla ('Nilla, her stuffed lamb), her Nikon D7000 (including the strap), and her iPhone 6 plus (Including headphones. Her nice grandma's company gives her Apple products). She changes out of her pajamas and into her "day clothes". This consists of a black strapless mini dress, a soft green button-up cardigan that stops at her thighs, thin light grey stockings, black above-knee socks with two red stripes at the top, and dark brown suede lace-up booties (http://31.media.tumblr.com/34b82d61f6fa386bcbe6befbda5b38fc/tumblr_mes68extiQ1qhi2bro1_500.jpg). Pippa grabs up the airplane ticket and whispers a soft goodbye to her room that she had been living in for the past four years. She puts her phone in her button-up pocket and slips the camera's strap over her head. Hugging 'Nilla close to her chest, Pippa softly opens the window and climbs onto the sill, and jumps.

Pippa runs very quickly to the gate and opens the latch, then closes it quietly behind her. She puts her headphones on her ears and plays a song, still running. She lives close to the airport, it was about a fifteen minute walk from her house. Ten minutes if she ran most of the way, including short stops for breath. She is about four and a half minutes away from the airport, when she comes upon a small Exxon gas station. She brought along twenty dollars in her phone case. Pippa jogs up to it and buys a Killer Taipan Venom energy drink and a pack of Solstice 5 Gum. She pays for it and runs out of the convenience store, stuffing the gum in her pocket, without opening it. 'Nilla under her arm, Pippa opens the energy drink, slowing down so she doesn't spill it, and drinks a third of it so it won't spill on her while she's running. She starts back up running again. Once she makes it to the front of the airport, Pippa shows the lady her ticket and soon enough, after the security check and the twenty-minute wait, she's on the plane. She's sitting in the back on the right-hand side in the window seat with no one beside her. The flight attendant hands her a thin, soft red British Airways ((not the actual blanket color, just made it up)) blanket and another flight attendant explains the rules and whatnot. Soon enough, they're off, and the lights are off. Pippa looks out the window, she loved riding airplanes during the nighttime.

~Le Timeskip!~

"Miss Evans....Miss Evans, please wake up. We're here," a stewardess shakes Pippa slightly as Pippa opens her eyes groggily and yawns. The stewardess leaves Pippa to herself, and Pippa gets off the plane. When off, she checks to make sure she has everything she needs. Yup, now where to? She notices a little pice of stock paper floating down to her. She reads it: Pippa Evans: Baroness. Baroness...What the hell is a "Baroness"?! Welp, I guess I'll find out soon enough. Pippa walks out of the airport, headphones on her ears, music playing. She doesn't notice the huge castle in front of her. As soon as she looks up, she stps clean in her tracks and gapes at the ginormous castle in all of its beauty. "Wow," Pippa whispers, awe-struck.

X glared down at the slip of paper in her hand. She was not amused- assigned a rank of commoner?! Her?! It just... wasn't done.

The affront to her vanity was only the last in a long, long line of things that just weren't done, beginning with spying and culminating with an actual kidnapping. When she'd come to, she'd thrown a pretty impressive fit, if she did say so herself. The two... knights, apparently assigned to escort her, had taken her somewhere to cool off, and she'd gone all-out with the I'm a helpless little girl and I'm scared, be nice to me act (though it was not necessarily an act), which had worked much better than expected- they still looked a little cowed, and had started treating her with a bit more delicacy. Evidently, not even antiquated government kidnappers were immune to the pretty-girl-in-distress card. One touched her elbow, drawing back and making an obvious effort to look nonthreatening when she jumped, turning to look at him with big, shiny sad-eyes. "Ah... miss... you should really go along the path with the others, to the castle."

Well, might as well see how far she could push it. She sniffled, ducking her head and looking up through her eyelashes. "I don't want to go to the castle. I want to go home."

The knight shot his partner a desperate look, and he stepped in to help. "I'm very sorry, but that just isn't possible at the moment." Taking in her crestfallen look, he forged ahead. "But you'll like it here! Everyone does! All your needs will be provided for, and the food's pretty good. And if you need anything at all, you can just ask us, okay? ...please stop looking at me like that."

X bit her lip, nodding a little, and trying to bring the kicked-puppy look down a notch. They weren't going to help her escape, that much was obvious. "
...okay, then. Um, thanks, I guess." They beat a hasty retreat, leaving the tall girl to stare down the path. She pushed a curl behind her ear- really, of all the days for her hair to decide to behave! - and set off for the castle. If nothing else, she could try and get a look at this One True King person.

Arya finally made her way inside, looking around and feeling completely out of place. A redhead wearing mint green skinny jeans and a maroon graphic tee with a picture of a nerdy marsh mellow in the middle of a grand palace that she had already gotten lost in, Lovely. She was to lost in thought to realize were she was walking and that resulted in knocking over a small half pillar with a vase on it, "No!" she squealed and jumped for the vase, the pillar wouldn't shatter it was made of wood but she could guarantee if that vase fell it would probably be the death of her. She flipped (for once her acrobatic classes coming in handy) and grabbed the vase mid air, flipping again and landing on her feet.

A large thud was made as the half pillar hit the ground and she prayed that she didn't break anything. Arya looked at the vase, it was gorgeous and unorthodoxly light. She put the vase down on the ground near the wall so she didn't break it then started attempting to put the half pillar up right, "Stand. Up. You. Stupid. Pillar." she said as she pushed it back into place then grabbed the vase, placing it were it was before. It looked normal so she non-guiltily turned on her heel, started whistling and walking down the hallway.

Aroura glanced around he did not remember much but what he did remember was beating scrubs on a child's game because he cant operate a first person shooter without killing himself when strange man kidnaped him. Never the mind that he then was asked to pack his stuff and was brought to an island he was shure they never discussed in school, not that he had the attention span to pay attention to class anyway. He was currently sitting under a tree that grew tempting apples but he had no sweets in sight "This stinks they drop me off on some island AND leave me no sweets how crewel." He threw a minor fit before standing up and trekking down a path that he hoped wouldn't get him too lost. Another man much taller then he came out of nowhere and handed him a letter, he took it without a moments notice. "I'm a servant to some lady.......well she better be awesome" he spoke in a cheerful voice he was not one to act in a situation with negativity.

Genieva didn't particularly care for the nervous tone Alaska was using. It wasn't so much annoying as it was dissatisfying. She decided to help out a bit.

"Well, I mean even if it was a joke, its a pretty cool place to explore. Besides that, I honestly don't think anyone would go to such lengths to gather a group of strangers to play pretend. Its most probably-most definitely real." She squeezed Alaska's hand just a little.

Genieva skipped ahead a little, pulling Alaska along to the castle doors just a smidgeon faster. She cast a crooked little smile over her shoulder at her new friend, a playful teasing about the way she then spoke. "
So Alaskaaa, what do you think your lovely Prince-excuse me-King charming will be like? I bet you that you get a grungy old guy with sweaty palms and baaaaad BO. Oooh, and he's a mouth breather!" Genieva giggled and winked.

@Clear Water

"I suppose you're right," Alaska said, feeling more assured than before. I mean, really. Even if it was a prank, what's the big deal? He's the one paying for plane tickets and a huge castle to accommodate twenty or so people, so in retrospect, it's the guys own damn fault.

"Just go with it." Alaska said to herself, knowing nothing bad could really happen, especially since she'd made a new friend.

As Alaska listened to the second part of Genieva's sentence, her face reddend.

"I bet not! I'm sure my-- er-- the king is a really nice guy! I mean, at least I imagine he will be. I already like him either way, so looks don't matter to me!" Alaska said worriedly, giving an unsure chuckle.

That wasn't entirely true; I mean, sure, if he wasn't the greatest looking guy, it's no big deal. But Alaska wasn't too fond of the old guy types, you know, the "old enough to be your grampa's grampa" type. And wouldn't the be illegal too...?

Anyway, the two were gaining on the castle, and Alaska's eyes grew wider than her head. They were just passing under the large brick arch that would lead them to the large platform that holds the whole castle, and the doors were in sight.

"Well, I'm ready when you are. Shall we?" Alaska asked giddily, hopping from foot to foot.

@Genieva Von Bubbles

Aroura seemed that he finally made it to the bridge in time he certainly hoped that he did not hold anyone up tardiness was only ok if I was followed by a prank, words to live by. He grew more excited by the minute and ran for the door you could almost not tell he was running until he went past the double doors and slipped on the king's fancy looking carpet. His mouth now tasted like fuzzy yarn and pain, if that really had a taste. He then spotted a bowl of candy he got straight up from his 'carpet nap' and dug in anything sweet would be excellent right now. With the candy and small stature he became almost unattainably adorable even if he really didn't mean to be that cute. "Thif id th grasth" he attempted to say while his mouth was stuffed, now all he wanted was to find this king guy.

Arya stopped in the midde of her run down the hallway and tilted her head, stumbling upon a boy who fell on a carpet and was now indulging in candy and attempting to talk, "Glad to know I'm not the only clutz around here." she thought aloud with a smile.

"Oh and I'm Arya and you are...?" she asked.

She wanted at least one acquaintance in this place.

Arya grabbed one of the candies herself and popped it in her mouth,

shoving the wrapper in the pocket of her green skinny jeans.

She noted the chandelier that she just so happened to be right after and

since she had seen one to many movies we're someone had died to

one of those falling on them,

she took an awkward step to the side.

@Aroura

Nienna laughed with Anabeth at her comment about the supposed King. This was a girl she felt she could relate to, and maybe even become friends with. Hopefully, the rest of the people were as nice and friendly as this. "That's a pretty good position!" Nienna exclaimed, even though she really had no idea where any of these ranks fell on the ladder. "I was dubbed a 'Viscountess.' I wonder what this means for us as visitors? Do we get jobs relating to our status, or maybe room assignments change with how high ranked you are? I suppose neither of us would know."

@giraffesarebetter

Pippa Clarys Evans

Location: Purgatory Path at One True Castle | Mood: Curious | Time: 8: 21 a.m.

Pippa holds 'Nilla between her knees and fumbles around for her camera. She snaps a few shots of the amazing castle before her and then of the surrounding area. She flips through the pictures, hand over the little screen to help her see better. The sun freakin' sucks. She lets the camera go, it falling to her chest, and picks the stuffed lamb up again. Pippa thinks about her dad's mom, Gail, whom she had lived with, and feels kind of sorry for her. She'll get over it, she hated me anyways. And that dick for a grandfather will be glad I'm gone, for sure. And plus, they would've dragged me here anyways if I refused to come. I can't stand restriction, it urks me. At least I left of my own free will. "Now where the hell am I supposed to go?" Pippa asks aloud to no one in particular. A few people stop and stare at her like she's insane. Pippa smiles awkwardly at a few of them and then continues along the path towards her new life. She approaches this big tall tower-like thing, and walks through the double doors. She holds 'Nilla between her teeth and grabs up her camera, snapping pictures, turning a full 360 whilst doing so. She continues walking around, completely lost. How the hell am I supposed to know where to go?! I guess I'll just wander around snapping pictures. Pippa notices a guy slip and fall down. He gets up like noting happened in a matter of seconds and races over to a bowl full of candy. He looked as if he was in "candy heaven". Pippa giggles a little bit as he attempts a sentence, but can't get it out because his mouth is stuffed with candy. That's so adorable!

Gem stepped into the castle quietly, ignoring all else around her and simply marveling at the lavish decorations and furniture. Masterworks of wooden carvings, paintings and other such wonders adorned the foyer, each piece laid out specifically to draw attention towards a set of massive double doors that all but beckoned one to enter. To the left was a smaller set of similar doors and the right an identical set to those. Gem's curiosity began to build and she wondered where exactly she should venture firstly. Left? Right? Forwards? She glanced over her shoulder, it seemed like nobody else had quite come this far although all were making their way down the path, some seemingly conversing as they went. Unable to fight the burning curiosity, Gem stepped forwards, towards the massive double doors and pushed one incredibly hefty door open with a soft grunt, unsure of what she'd find behind it.

His hands finally stopped placing Legos as a realistic knife sat in front of him, the rest of the Legos neatly packed into the suitcase with just enough room to place it in. He stood up as he took the suitcase into his hands, heading off into the open palace. I suppose there would be no point in hesitating further, after all this 'King of Kings' person doesn't seem much of the waiting type to me. And I might as well meet this 'Gem' person, after all I hear it's bad to keep a girl waiting. Luckily for him he had taken care to know of all the others that received such letters of invitation, so locating the brown-haired girl standing in front of large double doors wasn't that hard. He gently tapped her shoulder and waved with a small smile. "Hello, I'm Kanashimi. Would you be Gem Shem?"

Gem stifled a small yelp of surprise, she hadn't even heard the guy coming up behind her. She nodded automatically at the mention of her name, nervously adjusting her glasses so they sat higher on the bridge of her nose and she peered through the lenses at the boy. It took Gem all of three seconds to recognize the name 'Kanashimi' and she plastered an awkward smile onto her face, shoving her hands into her pockets and fumbling for her now lost letter. "Uh...Yes...I am she. It's nice to meet you Kanashimi." She laughed softly, a nervous undertone to the sound and backed slightly into the door behind her. She had absolutely no idea how to act with all this 'title' business and she was still a little jarred from the surprise. Her curiosity now forgotten, Gem focused instead on composing herself, taking a sharp breath and closing her eyes for a brief moment, calm overtaking her features. "Apologies if I seem a little skittish, you admittedly surprised me."

Arya laughed then turned on her heel and walked outside, if there was one thing she knew from reading is that there is always a garden at a castle. She walked down the path then turned on a smaller one and walked for a while, eventually she found the garden and smiled, it was gorgeous there was a large fountain and a tree's branches hovered over it. She walked over and took a seat on the fountain noticing a few roses over in a cluster, "Pretty." she said with a sight than laid down flat on her back staring up at the clouds.

Genieva liked it when other people rambled.

She giggled and pulled Alaska under the arch and to the door. She stomped both her feet into place.

Genieva placed one hand on the door and looked over at Alaska with a stupid grin.

"On the count of thirty-no hold on. Thats too long. Maybe three. It was definitely three. Alright majesty, on the count of three we open the doors! One! Two! Fourrrr! naw I'm kidding. Three!"

@Clear Water

Alaska shoved open the door with the help of Genieva, and the two went at full speed in to the castle. Alaska was laughing and, dare I say it, snorting, upon entry, totally oblivious ot the breathtaking views inside the huge palace.

"Whoa," Alaska spoke quietly, once she finally calmed down and took in her surroundings. This was it. Her new home. And of course Genieva's new home.

And twenty or so other people's home. But Alaska was the new Queen to this castle, and that was frightening but also thrilling to her. She had a king as well, but that part would come later she guessed, so she darted off with Genieva still in hand.

"I bet if we look hard enough we can find the ballroom!" Alaska shouted behind her, blonde hair billowing through the corridors of the palace.

@Genieva Von Bubbles

Kanashimi grinned. "No worries, just tell me if you need anything. I may not be pleased with my rank, but that doesn't mean I would hold it against you or anything. If we aren't around others, just treat me like a friend." he popped his suitcase open again (without the fancy toothpick thing) and pulled out his chessboard. "Care to play a game? To be frank I get to know people best by playing against them, and it would help me adjust to this a bit easier." And decide whether I'll go with this whole thing or shake it to it's foundations, but that's another matter. I know my limits and capabilities. I'm not a leader. Never will be. So the question is... He made a meager gesture towards a nearby table, continuing his nervous kid act.

...Who here will I follow?
