Fandom 19 Years Later (Looking For More People!)

Cassandra understood the situation as well as any outsider of the new order would. A romantic rival. She realized, and from the sounds coming from the kitchen, James wasn't taking it well. I'm not getting involved. She decided. If someone was attacking him, she'd be the first to get involved. However, no one was- this was an emotional struggle, not something that she could wave her wand at to make it go away.

Well, maybe she could, but that wouldn't be very helpful.

"I see." Was all Cassandra said at first, then nodded to Andrew. "I am Cassandra Longbottom. I'd say that it's nice to meet you, but... Well, I'd be lying. No offense." She honestly didn't have anything against the guy- she didn't know him at all, so why would she? She simply wasn't thrilled at the situation.

Victoria regretted everything she said as soon as James began slamming his fist into the counter. Clearly telling him she was engaged to Andrew had been a terrible idea and she didn't get the satisfaction she was craving when she saw his heartbroken look. She didn't even bother reaching for her wand when she noticed James looking for his, if he wanted to hurt her then she'll let him. She deserved it and wanted to help James get through this shocking revelation and harsh heartbreak. She took a few steps back, her lower lip quivering as Morgana stepped forward and tried to calm him down. "James, I-" Her voice cracked and she closed her eyes. What was she going to say? That she didn't love Andrew and the marriage meant nothing to her? That she wanted to go back to the roof and return to their previous position? Tell him she was sorry? All of those options could work, but not right now, not with James in such a fragile state. She was thankful for Morgana's help, if she managed to calm him down she'd be able to have a good conversation with him and apologize for her actions. "I'm sorry." She said softly, leaving the kitchen and running towards the living room where she was greeted with Greyson pointing their wands at another stranger. She immediately recognized him as Alexander, the-next-dark-lord. How she wished she had her wand now. "What are you doing here?" She spat, taking notice of his snake.

((by the way I walked to the kitchen door, im not in the living room i was watching you guys already xD
Ah that was better. Honestly the entire business at the door had been so anti climatic that he had honestly been set un at ease by the situation. While having wands pointed him was slightly unhelpful this was a situation he was far more used to. He smirked slightly and almost of its own accord the jacket slid off his shoulders so if it did come to a fight he wouldn't restrain his companion who rose dangerously now free hissing Greyson as it rose in the air threateningly, the snake seeming big enough to swallow him with some effort like one of those giant anaconda's in the amazon rain forest, as it loosened its hold on his master as he raised his wand. He raised it not at Greyson but at Victoria as he was confident he could take her out of the fight if it came to one and turn around and deal with Greyson if Jörmungandr hadn't dealt with him by that point. He had enchanted and protected his snake personally so most hexes would have a hard time getting their full effect and he knew how poisonous the snake was. He smiled a bit menacingly, his cold eyes meeting Greyson's blue ones so he could move the second a fight started though he kept his senses alert for anyone attacking him from behind. "Isn't it obvious?" He said his voice still carrying a bit of amusement. "I came here to see who my enemies are, or my allies. It has to be one of the two has it not. Though when I walked in here expecting a group who planned to fight the ministry I defiantly did not expect to walk into a soap opera, so much fuss over an arranged marriage." He said with a bit of mocking in his tone. Honestly he was not surprised Victoria was here, daughter of the current minister of magic and with her hanging out with members of the two biggest blood traitor families in the eyes of his type it was probably inevitable but Andrew was probably the most surprising pick, his family was rich and powerful under the current regime, he probably was ethier spying or had his own special reason to be here and now Alexander realized he was probably holding that reason. Still considering that Andrew seemed more gloating then anything else and the looks of pain on both James and Victoria's face was more then enough to guess the current relationship between the three from what he knew of pure blood usually marrying to keep blood lines as pure as possible even over the objections of their children. Keeping his wand leveled at Victoria and his eyes on Greyson he seemed almost bored, though inside he was sweating a bit since having so many mages around him was something even he was not sure he could deal with and those in the dueling club knew him as one of the most fearsome and deadly duelist when it came to magical skills even if his grades were only average as if he was only doing the bare minimum to pass. "I came to join the order, though now I'm now worried its a waste of time. If you people are divided and as soft as you are now you'll be dead by next year, except for maybe this one over here." He said inclining his wand a bit at Victoria. "Her father might try to let her see things his way first though his methods will probably be far from gentle." He said his dark eyes scanning the group before glancing at James deliberately taunting him with his wand pointed at Victoria. "Did you plan to challenge her father with only this much resolve?"

He was about to answer Morgana with a yes, mostly to get out of everyone's view because he was not capable of containing his emotions at the moment and he hated, hated being vulnerable like this. But, before he had the chance, Alexander's presence was brought to his attention by Victoria and Greyson. He's head turned so fast that one might have thought he'd give himself whiplash. The first thing he noticed was the giant snake that was uncoiling itself from Alexander and preparing itself to strike and then noticed Alexander's sharp gaze locked on Greyson and lastly he noticed his wand pointed at Victoria. As mad as he was at her, as much as he thought he'd like to see her blown into pieces right now, seeing Alexander's wand pointed at her forehead made a different kind of anger rise with in him. Instinctively, he gripped Morgana's hips and pushed her back behind him, away from the fight that was sure ensue, and charged aT Alexander in blind rage. Clearly not himself, for James was normally very calculating and careful in high intensity moments, his decision was incredibly stupid. First of all, Alexander was armed with a snake and a wand, which neither he nor Victoria had. Second of all, he could not only take a shot at James at this point but also Victoria or Greyson or anyone else for that matter. And thirdly, James could get himself killed running at an armed and talented wizard without any means of protection other than his fists, which wouldn't do him much good against magic or venom.

Somewhere near the back door of the house, Iggy was cloaked behind the magical brilliance of the invisibility cloak, which she'd stolen from James who stole it from his father. She was getting ready for her daily morning sneak in to get some food and then head back out to her apartment above the Potter barn. She most certainly wasn't expecting to hear a number of voices and a few raised ones at that. She heard James yelling and the tension hung in the air hung like a thick wave of humidity on a stormy summer day. She slipped her wand from her pocket as she silently slipped through the hall of the house, making her way to the kitchen doorway from where she heard the voices. When she came to see Alexander, wand aimed at a girl she recognized as Victoria Knight and with Greyson's wand pointed at him, she shook her head. Clearly, the order meeting had gotten a little out of hand. She witnessed the snake strike at a charging James right before the word '
Expelliarmus' fell from her lips and sent Alexander's wand flying backwards from his hands. She caught it as she let the cloak fall off of her and stood there, twirling it between her fingers with a small smirk on her face. "Well, well, what do we have here?"

Just as she thought she was getting somewhere with James, another commotion started on the other side of the kitchen. She noticed Alexander and his infamous snake but couldn't react as she was grabbed and pulled behind James. 'Oh crap..' It was the only thought as James rushed towards the other boy, clearly intent on hurting him. She stayed where she was for a few moments before Alexander's wand was taken. Once that had happened however she decided to speak up, even if only one other person and the two snakes could hear understand her. Merlin raised his head to stared at the other snake with an almost bored expression that would have been insulting on a human's face. ~Alexander, do not fight. We may look like a bunch of teenagersss, but we have trained together for monthsss.~ She knew she was going to get more than a few odd looks. Even the teachers at school thought that she didn't speak to snakes, and that was because she didn't, well at school at least. She had been doing it at home for years and the only person outside of family that knew was James. As she spoke, her own wand fell from its sheath into her hand.

Alexander could have not have been more shocked by James sudden charge. Of all the attacks he expected to be aimed at him a physical attack was not one of them and it might have even hit him if he was alone so shocked was he by this suicidal maneuver. Unfortunately for James he was not alone. Seeing an obvious physical threat to its master there was a a loud hiss that pierced the ears of everyone in the room as the snake seemed to fly from Alexander's body despite being massive nearing 20 feet long it detached from his body and hit the poor boy's shoulder with bruising force as it wrapped around its body, its mouth open with fangs deadly about to sink into his neck even as Alexanders wand went flying in a blow that would have ended to boy's life in moments. The venom delivered by the fangs was not something that could be healed or resisted if delivered directly to his vulnerable veins. However the blow stopped as a strangled his came from Alexander sounding furious causing the snake to stop, its fangs actually resting against James neck. Meanwhile Alexander glanced back at the girl currently holding his wand with something resembling a wary look. "I didn't even even sense her... Sloppy." He thought to himself with a bit of disquiet. He already figured that she had made herself invisible somehow since he had not seen her before, etheir by cloak of disillusionment charm but even then there were usually signs that someone was there but he missed it. How could he know that the stolen cloak was one of the deathly hollows and even if Dumbledore was there himself he would have not have sensed her presence. Never the less their situation's werent so different, he had a hostage and she had his wand. This situation wasn't so bad for him. So he smiled and shrugged. "You got me, though I also have a hostage so that's kind of null and void. Now we can do a simple trade off of wand for hostage so we can actually speak about why I am here to join the order or we can stare at each other till this becomes a blood bath. Even if you kill me at least 2 of you will die." He said with a serious if a bit cocky expression as he starred her down as if she was a strange animal about to attack him, his hands moving his pocket where he had a sharp knife as a last resort. He glanced at someone else he didn't recognize, speaking in Parsel tongue causing him more then a bit of shock, he didn't think there was another who could speak his tongue but he didn't stand down, though he did not grow any more hostile.

Ezekiel Smith

Ezekiel was told by his brother to hold off on his arrival, spend time with the family before departing for the potter manor to meet up with everyone. After all their parents had but two children and would of liked to spend time with them longer then a day or mere hours before they would leave for Germany. It was true their cousins would be staying with them, but that was different to their own sons, but despite it all Ezekiel couldn't wait. So when his parents were about to set off for Germany, Ezekiel convinced them to let him stay behind instead of spending the first day or two in Germany with the Smith families old friends. It took some doing, a little speech for good measure on how he would like to stay home during the break feeling a bit homesick and all. It was a little hard to believe but it worked, though his parents suspected he merely didn't wish to take Arnaldus's place in the issues with the eldest son of their friends, both after all shared a similar dislike for his behavior and constant loud opinion that he was the superior of the age group.

Surprisingly between the two during these trips to visit the family friends in Germany, it was Arnaldus who was angered and acted upon it more so then Ezekiel had done. To Ezekiel this was a nice change of pace for once he was not the one getting into petty scrapes and arguments with others, but it was Arnaldus. Though he did have his fair share of scrapes with the families youngest son who was Zeke's age, there was just simply no way to mix the Smith boys and the Wagner boys....... It was like mixing water and oil, it just didn't work, it didn't mix. As Ezekiel stood waving good bye and seeing his parents off, saying his best wishes to them and their journey while giving his love. The four remaining smiths for this trip, departed for Germany and left Ezekiel behind.

Since Ezekiel quickly readied his trunk shrunk it down to size with his wand and was off. He took off on his broom and flew towards the Potter manor with great haste, there was no way he would waste time after all in his own mind he had already missed quite a bit. Ezekiel only just recently discovered his brother was as he suspected apart of the new order. He only just discovered his brother was far more adventurous then Ezekiel has ever imagined and there was no way Ezekiel would be kept out of the fun, he wanted in and wouldn't take no for a answer. Even after all Arnaldus had done to put off telling him, stalling him from joining, making one reason why to wait after another all to prevent Ezekiel from joining, all in attempt to protect his little brother whether the younger smith agreed with it or not or would hate him for it, Arnaldus had done everything he could to keep him out of trouble and safe. Arnaldus never doubted his brothers potential and ability, he always supported and encouraged him to succeed........ But he also knew his brother could be a danger to himself and didn't want to risk both their lives by telling him to join or not do what he had been in order to protect him. If the worst would come to happen then he would have been responsible for his dear parents losing both Their children because he failed to protect his family and his little brother who he still saw as one he would need to look after always, something that would never change no matter how much Ezekiel grew, because simply Arnaldus was the older sibling and that was his job and his responsibility and one he took to heart, one he took seriously.

As Ezekiel approached the Potter house racing through the cold and falling snow, luggage in tow and tucked in his robes thanks to his spell. He came to a stop and got off his broom while standing at the door and confronted with a dilemma. Should he or shouldn't he knock? It was late, people were likely asleep and he did not wish to wake and disturb them. But on the other hand it was cold, late and very likely he would catch a chill or two if he hadn't already, if he didn't knock. Quite the dilemma for Ezekiel then again.......... Listening intently on the home he could hear noise, people were awake? Oh yes this was quite pleasant to learn. A cheeky smile formed across Ezekiel's lips, his hazel eyes becoming sharp in their gaze but light still as he looked toward the wooden door before him. "It sounds like someone is having quite the time. A commotion at this hour? I do say it sounds like cause for a improper and non approved entry." Ezekiel grinned

He stood before the door and took out his wand and set his broom beside the door, standing in the snow and leaning against the home. While his gaze looked to the door once more his wand ready and grin remaining on his face, a corner grin like his brothers but more devilish. "Chances are with all this seeming commotion that a door wouldn't be locked...... So no need for the alohomora spell, correct? Yes correct." Ezekiel thought in deduction of the situation. " I hope I am right........ I would like quite the fool trying to open a locked door. Then again i would look like a fool using a unlocking charm on a unlocked door." He pondered in self debate, spell or no spell? That was the real question....... Now atleast.

Making his decision and opening the door to the Potter home. Ezekiel in typical fashion entered with a tall and light footed walk, purpose in his stride and lighthearted in his face with wand in hand, just in case. He spoke and looked around the room and towards the kitchen. "What did I miss?"

? Location: Slytherin Dorm ? Interacting With: @.anyone ?

tumblr_mbabayp5I31ri5dtdo2_500.gif

Flashback...

"You worthless witch! I asked for my wand, not your bitch of a mother!"

"I'm sorry father, but your note was so vague, and so last minute! It took a while to even sneak out of school, much less come find you! It's really a miracle I'm standing right here!"

"You were my one shot at redemption and you've screwed that up as well. The Lestrange name has definitely gone to shit with you as the last heir. Your aunt would be ashamed."

...

What had the note meant to the girl? Was a a new hope? Or perhaps an excuse to be missing out on Hogwarts? Or maybe it was neither of the above. Maybe it was because she still had a feeling that there was still at least one person she could love the monster she was. And she was no monster, not compared to the entirety of her family line. Not compared to Liliana, the wicked mother who abandoned a child she could never love, not even compared to the coward of an uncle she had, who died soon after. Rabastan Lestrange was the only man she could resort to, and when she was sent a note from him, from Azkaban, she knew she had to take a chance.

But a shout from the outside of her dorm room awoke her from the nightmare that often replayed in her mind,
over and over again. Nothing happened, not physically. But mentally? Knowing that not even your last living relative that considered you family could love you. Her mother was nowhere to be found, but last Aria heard, she remarried to a wealthy muggle in America. God damn Yankees. But never mind her mother, it had been days, weeks, maybe months since she last came back to Hogwarts. Her absence caused somewhat of a small stir, but she provided back up easily, and was just getting started on catching up on her schoolwork. What was even going on? What was the difference between alchemy and occulence? Who knew? But perhaps her sudden attendance at school would provoke others. but Aria wasn't the type of girl who would simply stand back and watch worthless peasants become the so called "queen" of the school. Because there was only one Slytherin queen. And that was Aria Lestrange.

Author's Note: I've been out for like weeks so this is just how I'm going to explain the sudden absence of my character c:

Victoria stood completely still, observing the situation and trying not to throw herself at Alexander and scope his eyes out with a spoon. A powerful wizard was pointing his wand at her, his snake was could kill James in just a matter of seconds and her wand was still upstairs. She hated being in these kind of situations without her wand to protect her. She wouldn't win any duels with wandless magic and she didn't want to admit that her fate could be in the hands of the boy everyone thought would become the next dark lord. Her luck changed when a stranger appeared out of thin air and took Alexander's wand. Without a wand being pointed at her, Victoria was able to think of a plan that could save them from a possible duel and a few funerals. "Alexander, do you know what time it is?" She asked, sounding bored and tired. Taking a look at the clock hanging on the wall, she yawned and slowly rubbed her eyes. "It's almost one, honey. Do you really think the Order would have a meeting at this hour? Now, how about we drop this unnecessary drama and go to sleep? I'm sure tonight's events have gotten us madder than usual and speaking about the Order wouldn't do us any good now, would it? So please, tell the snake to go and this won't turn into a massacre." She said calmly, as if she weren't interested in the intense situation. She knew they could have a meeting, she just wanted to talk with the other members before accepting anyone else. Besides, new recruits had to be tested and she really wanted to give Alexander the worst exercises imaginable. She pretended to check her nails while she waited for him to reply, doing a good job at hiding her alarm. She wasn't about to let the possible threat know she was alarmed, the best thing to do was to ignore his presence as if it didn't matter. Smiling at Ezekiel when he arrived, she waved at him and winked at Alexander. "You didn't miss much, just a few childish games."

Andrew just couldn't ignore the opportunity to listen to the argument going on in the kitchen. After all, he had no idea why Victoria had invited him in the first place. "You'll see, thank you for agreeing." He remembered her words clearly, even if he'd thought he'd invited him to actually relax for the holidays and to improve their relationship. While he did feel some affection towards her, he wasn't in love with her and he knew she wasn't in love with him even though she was trying to fool herself into thinking otherwise. Something that was probably not going to work, considering how close they were to the wedding. Now hiding behind a wall to be able to listen to the argument, he had to stop himself from cheering when James was attacked. Too bad Victoria was able to make Alexander calm down, he would've loved to go to his funeral to see his family suffering. His thoughts remained glued to the mentions of the Order and the fact that Victoria seemed to be helping the blood traitors. Was she really that stupid? She wouldn't have risked her life for such a stupid cause, right? One of the reasons he didn't fight his parents when they told him they were going to be married was her intelligence. He wouldn't want a dumb bride and Victoria was brilliant. So why was she ruining her life with this... Order? He'd definitely talk to her about it in a few minutes when the others went to bed. For now, he just wanted to see how much information he'd get from this conversation.

When she didn't get a response from Andrew, she rolled her eyes, made a disgusted noise, and walked into the kitchen. When she saw that a guy with a snake had James captive, she narrowed her eyes. Oh, hell no. She thought, flicking her wrist so that her wand landed in her hand. She glanced down to see Mithos, a white cat-kneazle mix brushing against her leg, growling at the strangers in the room.

Not wanting her pet to get himself killed, Cassandra reached down and picked up the feline, keeping an eye on the stranger. Just in case. The situation seemed to diffuse somewhat, luckily, but she wasn't known for trusting easily, so she kept her wand in hand.

Paige & Greyson Kingsley

The upset emotions subsided in the time that it took for Paige to haul her trunk up the stairs and into the empty guest room. She organized her things and set her sleepwear onto the bed she was going to sleep in. She wasnt going to sleep now, but she needed an excuse to get away from the others. Taking a moment to wipe her face on the sleeve of her sweater, all she could think about was what happened in the kitchen. But for her own sake, she tried to push it aside. Slowly, and hesitantly, she begun to make her way back down the stairs, but stopped midway, catching the sound of a new voice in the kitchen.

Greyson stood his ground, wand in hand, ready to make his move. "Expel--"

"Expelliarmus!" a voice beat him to the punch.

Greysons head turned, following the disarmed wand, returning to the one who claimed it. With a cloak falling to her off her shoulders and to the ground, a woman had suddenly appeared from out of the blue. At any other time, Greyson would have immediately begun his flirtatious schemes, she was beautiful, no doubt about it, but now wasnt the time, and girls were the last thing on the boys mind right now. James, with anger and emotion still at a high level, charged at Alexander, and as quick as he was to try to strike, the slytherin's snake was a lot quicker. The serpent coiled its body around James, contrictig enough so the boy wouldnt move while the snake attacked with his teeth. Alexander intervened with parseltongue and the snake retracted its fangs.

At the sound of "Expelliarmus," ringing through the house, Paige ran down the stairs and stopped in the living room, looking into the kitchen. She saw the snake offensively wrapped around the Potter boy, readying itself to sink its teeth into its victim. Paige turned from a timid, quiet girl, into a protective, quick thinking machine. With Alexanders back turned, her blue eyes landed on the back of his head and her hand hovered over her pocket. Her stance was wide and she had a look in her eye that Greyson knew too well. The older brother looked at her with his eyes only. She was right behind Alexander, so it didnt seem like Grey was looking at someone else at first glance. But the boy pinched his eyebrows together, and made a stern serious face toward his sister, telling her not to do what ever it is she was thinking to do. Paige was quick to react, especially when she saw wands out. At any given moment she was ready to strike; a sharpshooter she was. Like the serpent around James, she had a quick reaction time, honestly, if it wasnt her soft heart for the well being of others, she wouldve been in the deuling club a long time ago. Greyson had even tried to encourage her, but she refused after her first experience with deuling.

After some exchange with words between Victoria and the intruder, the snake was called down, and Greyson relaxed slightly but not entirely. "Excuse me I have been rude," Alexander began talking. Greysom scoffed,"Rude is an understatement," he mumbled as Alexander continued.

After some more talk, the hostile newcomer extended a hand to the theif with his wand,"My wand?" he asked so casually, and it made Grey sick. How could he ask for it back after acting the way he did. Coming in her, unannounced, uninvited, unwanted and then attacking the owner of the home. Sure enough he knew of the rumors about himself, and wouldve expected everyone in the Potter home to be suspicious or defensive toward him so why did he show up like this? Waltzing in like no one would care. Its almost as if he wanted wands aimed at him. And then to have the audacity to ask to stay the night,"If hes staying the night here, with us, I dont think he should have his wand..." Greyson announced his opinion loud enough for everyone in the kitchen to hear. Even though Grey didnt live in the Potter home, he even thought it was offensive for James to be attacked under his own roof and it pissed off Grey to witness it. It was clear Alexander didnt have an ounce of trust from Greyson, and he most certainly think it would be safe for someone like Alexander to have his wand, while potential members of the new Order will be vulnerable in their sleep.

Paige on the other hand, was eager to make her move, but would only do so if things were too out of hand, or if her big brother gave the okay...

(Sorry its a little cruddy im a tad sleepy)

Ezekiel looked toward each present figure ranging from Greyson to Paige then on toward Joey and Cassandra, his hazel eyes moving on toward another pair of fellow students, Rey and Morgana. He continued to deduce just what he had been confronted with or rather walked into upon his seemingly timely arrival. While looking toward two other slytherins Andrew and Alexander, noticing James position and Victoria. A smile crossing his lips as she told him of what he had missed while tensions seemed to cease for now atleast and wands kept ready and others discussed of whether or not they may return to their rightful owner. "Childish games, Victoria? I wish I had known sooner, I would of rushed here like a bolt if I had known. I do love games." Ezekiel smiled and gave a wink his wand staying in hand while he walked closer to everyone and further away from the door, ensuring its closing behind him. "Good evening all..... Or shall I say morning? Ah well...." He paused looked toward the snake his eyes narrowed toward the rather large creature. Out of all the animals and reptiles in the world there was something about snakes that made him uncomfortable. After a few moments he turned his gaze toward Iggy preferring not to think about his unease around snakes, he never could quite trust them........ Not afraid but never trusted the form of life, despite his love of animals and most creatures he never could feel at ease around snakes. As Ezekiel looked toward her and gave a silent nod and smile in greeting, he returned his notice to the room as a whole pondering a few thoughts and curious of the details. "Well I must say you never fail to keep it exciting, Victoria. Quite the turn out for the holiday get together, glad I could make it and join the fun."

All the commotion seemed to freeze once Iggy had Alexander's wand in her hand. James was desperately trying to stay as still as possible, seeing as the snakes fangs were resting right up against his jugular and he wasn't about to die from a snake bite, of all things. He also felt just a slight bit disappointed in himself. Bloody idiot, he thought to himself as he struggled to keep his breathing even and hoped Iggy could get him out of the situation. Which he was sure she could, she had a way of talking people into almost anything. But, much to his surprise, it wasn't Iggy that talked Alexander down. It was Victoria, coming to his rescue. He grimaced as he now made note that he owed her one. Falling to his knees after the snake released him, he rubbed his neck and glared at Alexander. "Thank you, Victoria, for diffusing the situation before I had to or before Mr and Mrs Potter woke up and kicked us all out of the house. Now, I agree with Miss Knight here. I think everyone is very tired which isn't helping the situation one bit, so why don't we all sleep on the events from this evening and come back to it tomorrow." Iggy said, placing her wand back into her pocket and then, with Alexander's wand still twirling between her fingers, she awknowledged Greyson, "I agree with that as well. Until he's been thoroughly tested and we can be sure to trust him, he shouldn't be allowed his wand. I'll keep it with me." And with that she placed his wand in her pocket beside her own.

December 24th, The Potter Home

Victoria had always considered herself a morning person. She usually woke up earlier than everyone else and liked to be as productive as possible as soon as she woke up. This was probably the first time she'd woken up because of the noises the others were making in the kitchen and the living room. It was probably because she'd gotten less than five hours or sleep and the fact that she was sleeping on the cold floor didn't help. Well, the fact that she was tired wasn't important. It was definitely going to be a busy day, training recruits was no easy task and she didn't really want the adults to see what she made the others go through to prove their worth. She let out a loud groan as she tried to stretch her arms and was greeted with a horrible pain in her back. She regretted telling James she would sleep next to Andrew if he forced him to sleep on the floor like some animal, she wasn't going to let anyone know though. She could live with an aching back for the rest of the day, it wasn't such a big deal and she'd gone through worse things. Letting out another loud groan, she slowly stood up and stretched her aching muscles.

It seemed like most of the adults were awake, luckily, they weren't paying attention to the children. She was sure James would take care of explaining why there were more teenagers once he woke up, if he wasn't already awake. Looking down at Andrew, she remembered what had happened when she'd told James about their engagement. Even if she didn't want to speak to James, she knew they were going to have to talk about it sometime soon. Fighting and losing their friendship over such a stupid argument was useless and they were going to have to stay together if they planned to bring down the Ministry. At least he wouldn't find out his friend was engaged through the howler her mother was sending to serve as invitations. The problem wasn't just James' anger towards the wedding, even if she didn't want to admit it. Deep down, she felt something for James. Feelings she didn't want to let out or even acknowledge, after all, she'd spent years trying to force herself to fall in love with Andrew and James was not going to ruin that.

Arnaldus Smith

Unaware of all the commotion and arrivals from last night for he was in the den talking with Camilla. Arnaldus awoke quietly in the den realizing he had fallen asleep at some point after their talk, he carefully stretched and rose from the couch heading upstairs toward the guest room that had his things, closing the door behind him as he did and got out some clean clothes for the day. Washing up, putting on some cologne and now wearing his fresh clothes, consisting of a plain shirt and jeans with his black coat and cloth hood worn overtop. After fixing his hair as he liked it, Arnaldus cleaned up after himself and left the guest room heading back downstairs beginning to notice others were already awake and moving about in the house that had become even fuller then before as Arnaldus would discover later in the morning. Despite his sleeping for a bit last night then waking up for nightly stroll through the snow and chilling air as his paws left imprints in the snow as they sank down just a bit while he moved across the ground in his animagus form, then heading back in after speaking with Apus and Camilla where he continued on to the den with Camilla where he was up talkin for some time before falling asleep again. But despite his night Arnaluds woke up rather early in the morning perhaps not the first to awake from a Eve's slumber, but early still.

Arnaldus walked around the room downstairs before walking settling on the spot before the window as he looked on toward the morning sun and light fall of snow. It was certainly cold and not grandest time of year but still Arnaldus found a certain beauty of snow falling upon freshly covered ground and trees, the sky above possessing a certain quality and the feel of cold breath giving off a noticeable presence as ones breath was exhaled. It was crisp, cold and your body desired warmth and detested prolong stay outdoors, but beauty still remained in some form to Arnaldus it was a magical time of year and great for flying if one wished. Why not gaze at the season and enjoy the time off from school to its fullest? If wasn't for his unknowing of the night befores events after he went to the den and sat across the warm fire, he may have been in a much different mood. But since he was and he hadn't, Arnaldus was in quite a good mood and couldn't imagine of what else to think at the moment then simply gazing out into morning sky and watching the eve of Christmas first snow while waiting for others to awake and they could go on about the orders day and what they may or may not have planned.

Paige & Greyson Kingsley

Christmas Eve morning. Though, after the events that occured the previous night, Christmas seemed farther than it really was. Paige was sound asleep, being emotional often took a physical toll on her. Her brother, however, didnt have a wink of sleep. His mistrust of Alexander's actions kept him from sleeping even the tiniest bit, and kept him thinking. The sun light behind winter grey clouds began to light up the sky. Electric blue eyes moved from the ceiling to James' bedroom window. Grey sighed, knowing he went through yet another sleepless night. He didnt feel tired at all, the boy grew acustomed to being a sleepless night owl on occasion. It was still very early, and Greyson knew most would still be asleep, for now atleast, so he took the opportunity to get up and get some fresh air.

Rising to his feet, he stretched, extending his arms toward the roof and pushing down on his tippy toes, a yawn escaping his lungs. When he recoiled, he rubbed his eye and walked to his trunk he left in James' room, after carrying it up the stairs last night...or, earlier that morning. His hands moved slowly and quietly, being careful not to wake James up. The locks were removed with care and when the top was lifted, a noise squeaked from old hinges,'Bullocks!' Greyson cringed, scrunching his face then peeked over his shoulder at the sleeping James. He relaxed, and continued with rummaging through his things. At the bottom was a single black hoodie, plain, with white draw-strings at the neck. He slipped the article of clothing over his bare chest and torso then stood straight up in his dark blue and green, flannel patterned pajama pants. He wasnt quite ready to zip the sweater up yet, concerned it would make too much noise for a quiet house, instead he pulled the hood up and stuffed his hands in the pockets of his warm pants. he stared at his shoes for a moment, deciding what to do with them,'If i go down the stairs in those things, there'll be more noise,' he concluded, and instead picked them up to carry with him. Lightly tip-toeing to the bedroom door, he opened it and silently snuck out, making sure to close the door behind him with out disturbing his still sleeping friend. Greyson walked, step by slow step down the stairs.

When he reached the bottom he took a look around the living room and jumped back against the wall, when he saw Victoria sitting up. His action made an audible clammer, but when he noticed it was just Victoria he huffed,"Bloody hell Victoria, you gave me a fright," he whispered, looking her then down his bare-ness, fumbling to zip his sweater as quick as he could despite the noise. Yes, Greyson was a flirt but he was still quite chivalrous and deemed it inappropriate for Victoria to see him like that. Still, he wasnt expecting her to be awake, and he couldve sworn that when he was at the top of the stairs, coming down, she was still asleep! A smile dashed across his lips, he wanted to laugh for scaring himself but his current objective was still to keep quiet. He continued on his path to the door and opened it, still keeping himself on check with the volume of the unlocking door. Once he was out, he closed the door. He stood there for a moment, his eyes looking around in thought, as he remembered last night's episode of the locked door. Alas he spun on his heels and opened the door once more, poking his head through,"Oh.." he whispered, looking at Victoria again,"I was making sure the door was unlocked," he gave a nervous snort and retreated back outside.

Standing on the porch, he slipped his shoes on then marched down the 3 or 4 steps that were there, and treaded out into snow covered yard. The snow beneath him crunched, it had hardened over night and was no longer fresh. The sky was silver, grey clouds still looming over but the sun behind it made it somewhat bright. Greyson looked up, squinting at the white light, and taling note that the clouds beginning to drop a light snow again. He sighed, his breath visible before him, and ran his fingers through his bed-headed, raven black hair. With out last night's wind, the air wasnt too cold, still a little chilly but he could handle it. The still air was crisp and refreshing, clearing his thoughts and feelings, making him relax after all that happened, and he felt much better.

After talking with Lilly for a bit and drinking the warm milk, Serenity thankfully found sleep easier, and even better, it was dreamless sleep. When she awoke, she felt refreshed, but still uneasy, as if she ate something bad, or if an event that she wasn't looking forward to was coming up. Now that she was awake, though, she wanted to find out why there was so much shouting the night before. So, the blond girl climbed out of bed and headed upstairs, knowing the layout of this house as well as her own, she easily knew where James's bedroom was. She opened the door carefully and without knocking, not wanting to wake him up if he was still asleep. When she opened the door enough to see that he was asleep, after all, she retreated, closing the door once more. Her questions could wait, she decided as she went back downstairs.

Alexander hadn't slept that night, always one for preparation he had waited hours after people had fallen asleep to make his move. Getting up as silent as a footpad in the night, he had casted a few simply charms on himself to quiet his movements, going as silently as only one used to sneaking around could go, placing small little devices in certain rooms and hallways that looked like small black buttons. Listening bugs, amateur spy equipment was one way he was known to get information because simply not many wizards expected it. Muggle technology was out of sight and out of mind for most born in the wizarding world who mostly ignored technology since it was almost impossible to use magic and technology together without ruining one part or another. Being muggle born however he grew up with it and knew how to harness it to great use even in the wizarding world. These little bugs would record conversations around the house, though if anyone used any kind of charm to seal off a room from conversation they would not be able to listen in unless they were in the rooms and he didn't dare take that risk right now, though he did set one in each upper left corner of the door, almost invisible ontop of the door seal where they rested. They were sensitive enough to hear conversation in the rooms as long as one was watchful enough not to make a sound. His biggest scare of the night was when a rusty hinge manage to signal him that Greyson was coming out of the room causing him to duck around the corner in silent but obvious panic. Luckily Greyson seemed very concentrated on keeping silent and though watching him walk down the stairs step by step was agonizing Greyson left quickly. Allowing him to bug that door, last one of the night before he left quickly in time to get back to his room before Serenity checked on James room.

Once he got back in his own room he sighed rubbing his neck. It had been awhile since things had been as stressful as that. He had bugged the common rooms back at Hogwarts and parts of the library but there was so much magic in the castle and so much babble in the common rooms he rarely got anything useful but little gems over the years had allowed him to gain quite the advantage over certain people. Making people think he could read their minds or had servants hidden in the walls had always given him an advantage in certain scenarios and even when they were found out rarely did anyone actually know what they did and his snooping remained unfound. A bit tired but knowing there would be little time to sleep and he could work off his full condition much longer then this he woke up Jörmungandr and pulled out a small bag from his jacket, dropping it one the bed to a noticeable thud even on the soft fabric of the simple bed. Obviously the bag was enchanted and he pulled out a new set of cloths. He had worn his uniform when he had fist come here because it was warm but now in the house he changed to his usual esamble. A short sleeved button up t-shirt he left half undone reveling a few scars on his chest including one deep jagged one looking like it was done deliberately at close range peaked in the noticeable opening in his collar, going up his chest almost to his neck which hadn't been visible yesterday with his popped up collar to hide his snake from the muggles. He wore simple but comfortable and form fitting jeans and black shoes. He had learned years ago looks were a powerful factor in influencing ones opinion of you so he took care of his body well and while he wasn't rippling with massive muscles he had a hard and lean body without a trace of fat, well displayed by his current dress. The combination of the scars and his well toned body gave him a striking look set up even further by his dark eyes, making him look both attractive and dangerous. A combination he found that suited him. With a quick hiss he called his snake to him though for now it did not cling to his body but slid beside him as he went downstairs and found Victoria giving Andrew a look as if thinking about something. "That's an interesting look on your face right now, Victoria wasn't it?" He said to catch her attention as he came down the stairs looking at her, his eyes still carrying a hint of respect for her calm last night, she had intrigued him with that as well as they're intelligence not to give him back his wand.

Victoria finally looked up, deciding looking at Andrew wasn't interesting anymore, and focused on Greyson. She grinned when he admitted she'd given him a fright and rolled her eyes at his obvious embarrassment. She hadn't focused on his state of clothing until he frantically began trying to zip up his sweater, why should she care? She was in a relationship and knew Andrew wouldn't like it if she tried to flirt with Greyson. Still, she couldn't help but to make fun of him as he stepped out of the house. She made sure her laughter could be heard outside the house as he stepped into the cold, hopefully knowing she wouldn't forget to give him a hard time for his embarassement as soon as he returned from his walk. Now with no one else to take care of, she returned her gaze to Andrew and wondered if waking him up would be a good idea. He didn't seem too happy last night and while she wasn't afraid of his reaction, she wasn't in the mood to deal with his anger. One angry teenage boy was enough for one day, thank you very much.

She didn't expect to see Alexander just a few seconds later and certainly didn't expect his unusual question. Was the way she looked at Andrew odd? Sure, there were a lot of complicated and disquieting thoughts in her mind but were they being reflected in her gaze? She certainly hoped that wasn't the case. After all, she didn't train how to hide her emotions for years for nothing. Then again, she never bothered to hide what she was feeling when there was no one else in the room and Alexander had popped out of nowhere. "It's called love, honey. Ever heard of it?" She replied, waving her hand as if it were nothing important and stopped looking at Andrew, now looking at Alexander right in the eyes. "Is anyone else awake?" She asked. Knowing that they were going to start training as soon as everyone had woken up.

"I do not believe so, or at least I did not see anyone on the way down." He said meeting her eyes, his dark eyes meeting hers a dark brown that was almost black that made it seem like they encompassed everything they saw. "Also your a pretty good liar but not that good, I doubt you care for the boy at all." He said before his glance flicked upstairs in the the obvious direction of James room which lay at the top of the stairs. "At least not this boy, I'm well aware how pure blood families like yours work things out between each other for the line. There are similar situations in much of my house." He said shrugging his shoulders making it obvious he was not fooled in the least. "If you wish to lie to me, I would have tried to keep that tortured expression off your face yesterday." He looked at Andrew before looking back at her with some amusement. "I could always have Jörmungandr eat him if you want." He said, and his offer seemed oddly earnest at least coming from the smooth talking Slytherin.

Victoria couldn't help but to laugh at Alexander's words. Even the stranger knew what was going on with James and Andrew, how wonderful. "I wasn't lying." She replied, grabbing the blanket from the floor and folding it. She doubted James' parents would appreciate their unwanted guests leaving stuff on the floor for them to clean up after them. There were other things to pick up but Andrew could take care of that once he woke up. "Everyone knows I'm not in love with Andrew, lying about my feelings would be pointless. Still, it was a good way of driving you away from the conversation. Well, at least it seemed like a good idea back then." She replied, a small smile forming on her face. "The snake can eat him after the wedding. I already bought the dress and I plan to use it. Thank you for the offer though." She said playfully, looking down at Andrew and poking him with her feet. "How did you find out about the Order? Did anyone tell you?"
