I’m sorry that I’ve been silent on my end these past few months. My mental health isn’t the greatest. I’ve been staying away from saying something in the out-of-character thread; now I feel it’s as good a time as any to admit I'm not doing fantastic. But still doing well enough. Posting is becoming infrequent in the IC thread. I'm struggling with trying to find my muse for my characters; it's not there anymore. I stayed quiet in hopes I'll get that spark back; so far nothing is working to help bring inspiration to me. I thought it's time to say I'm dropping out. I don't think it's fair for me to just ghost you all and cut and run. I had a lot of fun while it lasted. So, I'm going to end it here, as it's getting long to say my goodbyes.

Your health is more important than a rp so take time for yourself and hopefully start getting better. Hope things go well for you moving forward in that regard

Layton being bad challenge: impossible

Byleth didn’t think of how it would be for Layton to play such a role before making such a ploy lol

I just remembered that Layton played a somewhat antagonistic role near the end of Professor Layton vs. Pheonix Wright. He knew that doing so will help him reveal the truth of the game's mystery and save lives, so he's capable of being the "bad guy" if he needed to. However, Layton has a code of conduct he strictly adheres to and lines that he will not cross, so I imagine it'd be easy to call his bluff.

Though I can't help but imagine Byleth and Layton doing this:

What's cool about FF14 is that you can play all classes and switch between them any time. I wanted to try the Tank role, so I made Stefan a Dark Knight, complete with new swag! I learned that the Dark Knight victory pose is Cloud's victory pose!

Spoiler: I also played around with Samurai briefly and made an outfit for that.

Some damn cool shots from FF14 Shadowbringers. I love that the game is giving me the opportunity to let my character show his dark side. For context, the little fellow, Alphinaud, is pleading with Stefan to momentarily abandon pursuit of the BBEG in order to help the injured innocents.

Spoiler: I especially love the second one. I don't know if it was meant to be symbolic, but for me I interpreted it as Lord Lunaris showing himself briefly.

Great introductory post! Lol it's going to be fun if/when T'ink and Link meet. They don't speak a word, yet they always know what the other is thinking!

I also hope that we get a meeting between Link and Lunaris one day. They'd be great foils for each other. OoT Link is cursed with reincarnation, and while he is bound by fate and the actions of the past, things beyond his control, he still finds a way to move on. Lunaris cannot, as the twisted soul of the Night Dragon will not allow him, and he seeks vengeance for all that has happened to him and what he has lost. Link lost his fairy, his cherished companion, while Lunaris has his. Shiri is that last shred of goodness and humanity within Lunaris, and it would break him to lose her. Link was clearly affected by Navi's absence as he spent his life looking for her, but it still did not change who he is and remained willing to help everyone in need. Lunaris could have been just like Link.

On that subject, I reached this part of FF14 Shadowbringers last night.

Kameron Esters- I wanted to know if you'd like to brainstorm ideas for GUN and the Darknut Empire. I'd hate for these plot threads to go to waste.

Another thing I've been trying to brainstorm since the RP's conception is how the remains of Galeem can be utilized. Victims shot by Dharkon arrows go into a frenzy, but how about if they were shot by arrows made from Galeem's remains? The only idea I've been able to come up with is that the victim loses their personality and free will, essentially becoming a Light-aspected zombie, but I've yet to figure out how that can be useful for Lunaris or Odessa (as Odessa is the one in possession of the arrows), or why they would choose to do that over simply using the Dharkon arrows to cause chaos.

Good to know you still have plans for those groups.

That's how I've been looking at it too. The Galeem and Dharkon arrows are in limited quantities, so Odessa has to be smart with their use. The reason she hasn't tried shooting a Smash Brother yet is because she's dead if she misses (or the Smash Brother resists the arrow's corruption) and an out of control Smash Brother may be dangerous to both her enemies and allies.

Galeem arrows could possibly be used to capture a Smash Brother by taking away their free will, but at the moment Odessa isn't brave enough to try it.

Sorry I was on a road trip. I'll be back tomorrow, but I have to think a little bit. I think that the Luminary would for sure try to locate the pillars to try and protect them. As for specific goals. I'm not sure yet. I think I would have to get a feel of things to come up with a specific direction I want to take him.
