Realistic or Modern Zombie Apocalypse

Tori's feet thudded very lightly on the ground. She was trying to move as lightly as she could, Keeping her breathing in time with each movement of her feet she was able to keep her heart beat to a reasonable rate. At the very least what she figured to be a reasonable rate when you were on a rescue/ murder/acquiring somewhere safe to sleep and life saving medicine mission. She looked to the left to make sure the two others were still with her and was glad to see they were all keeping a good pace with each other and going in one fluid movement if you liked. She simply sent a thumbs up in Tammy's direction when she told them to keep their guard up, Tori sure as hell had no plans in intentionally letting it down. Her steps faltered slightly when she heard the groan of an un-dead her hazel eyes automatically widened and turned toward the current threat instinctively but seeing as it wasn't in the immediate vicinity she decided to give it a bye ball and carry on with the main objective: Reaching that entrance and dealing with what was on the other side. However when the zed came back to bite them in the arse she did finally stop in her tracks, Before she could even react it had a crowbar in it's eye and Tammy was lowering it to the ground. Tori gave a nod of approval and didn't loose another breath pressing on toward the east wing.

Tori stopped and crouched in the dirt watching it smudge into the knee of her jeans by an old crumbling part f wall mere steps away from their entrance point. She had a feeling there might be eyes around here and got as low as she could without actually have to get onto her stomach.'This is it then' she thought to herself. Her eyes bore into the door as if at any moment she might develop some x-ray vision and see what was on the other side, No such luck unfortunately. The shirt break did give her a chance to catch her breath from the short jog here though, She didn't plan on pausing for long she didn't want to loose her nerve. 'Jen is in there' she reminded herself and it was like that small reminder gave her that last of what she needed to Steele herself. The blonde felt that the others weren't to far behind her and so she pushed to her full height and headed for the door in a flat out bolt, She may as well get them by surprise. As she ran her finger slipped nimbly into the loop on her jeans and she was able to free her knife and get it in a firm grasp. "Now or never" she declared and slammed into the door causing it to slam open and subsequently send the man that had been standing guard behind it flying into the wall opposite and hitting his head which granted Tori some precious seconds of stunned surprise.

A pain flashed over her shoulder from where she had barged the door open, It started out like a pin prick and then spread down her arm but adrenaline quickly took care of that problem when the man from behind the door started to regain himself. Tori's heart was beating faster than a freight train and she was sure it was going hard enough to break some ribs, When her opponent came at her with the butt of his gun she was able to raise her knife and get a satisfactory gash up his arm from wrist to elbow. It wasn't enough to kill him but enough to slow him down. "You fucking little bitch!" He snapped and backed up afew steps. Tori just sort of smirked between the adrenaline pumping and getting pissed at this guy for coming at her she was more than ready for a fight. It was like everything over the past few days...hell past few months decided to unleash itself all at once. As he raised his gun Tori lowered her shoulder and tackled him in the chest making him stumble back afew steps and drop the weapon. A bout of disorientation and a sharp pain at the base of her skull soon told her she had managed to get an elbow to the back of the head. The woman cursed under her breath and brought her knife up jamming it into his ribs. He let out a yell of pain and hit red liquid began to ooze out of Tori's hand. A radio at the mans side started to crackle and the assailant brought his knee up to meet Tori's gut "Mother fucker!" She hissed but the guy made a mistake, He took his full attention of the fight to try and go for his radio and thanks to the fact she had been able to injure him he wasn't as fast as he had been a moment ago. Tori took her chance and when he had the small lapse of attention from her because she was winded she lunged and plunged her knife into his neck. She had always thought it would be harder to kill someone...but it slipped through his skin like a hit knife through butter, The blood spurted from his neck like some kind of horror fountain and he made the most horrible gagging sound Tori had ever head before simply slumping to his knees and landing face first on the ground. Tori stared blankly at the body on the ground her breathing heavy and she even tasted a little sick in the back of her throat..she hadn't killed anyone before and she wasn't a fan, She watched as the pool of blood on the ground started to get bigger. She herself had it all over her hands and some in her hair from the tousle. Her head hurt and so did her ribs but..this was just the start. "We need to keep going" she whispered to the others and simply stepped over the body and retrieving the radio on the way. It eould be useful to be in on their communications when shit really kicked off.

Miyuki held out her hand for Tammy but Tammy got up anyway. She didnt feel bad about kicking her, she felt that she was getting attacked and she reacted. She believes that the others would do the same. Miyuki follows the others as she goes over the plan in her head as she hears Tammy tell them be on their guard. "No kidding, next you'll say that what we are doing is very dangerous," Miyuki whispers back as she rolls her eyes. "And iyou wanted us to be on guard why were you pissed when i kicked your ass," she continues in her head as she sighs. She wanted this over with so badly it hurts. She watches Tori then go to the door. "WHAT IS SHE DOING?!?!" She watches Tori fight the people on the other side of the door. Shaking her head, "We are going to die." She wished that Holliday was there but the four of them left to go sneak in. She takes some more pills to keep her awake as she gets out her arrows. "Tori.....you do know you could have waited for us to....oh i dont know.....kill them quietly so we can NOT draw attention to ourselves and get inside? Jen doesnt need us dead." She bends over to the bodies and finds a set of keys and some bullets. She pockets them to make sure they were safe as she sighs waiting for the others. Based on how Austin, Tammy, and Tori were acting, she lost faith in coming out alive.

The situation got out of hand relatively quick. Tammy went from wanting to kill miyuki. To observing tori not follow the plan in the slightest sense and going full force upon the door blasting open tammy followed close behind. They had to keep quiet. If one guard was there that made a sound they would have already been blown before even entering. But she watched the takedown. The way tori slashed up the man's arm she held her weight. She fought and silenced him before it drew enough attention. Tammy led inside and nudged her shoulder slightly "please, stay strong and keep quiet." She knew how tori felt, ending that humans life. But she never brought anything else up. Instead she followed closely and waited for the others to conjoined with them two.

They need miyuki to lead not just for safety due to her silent weapon. But because she had the best shot out of them all and if multiple enemies appeared it might end in gunshots. "We need to stay close now guys." Tammy said subtly as they begun to infiltrate to enemies home. They had no room for error.no room for messing up or getting sloppy. "Jenns in here." She reinstated. They were inside a back hallway near the side exit which used to be an emergency exit. The area seemed so eerie and so quiet. So many rooms were boarded up from what they noticed and breaking into them would drain precious time. If they heard holliday shoot they knew the upper hand would be on their side. If holliday was correct about 20 survivors were inside. Most must have been up in a living quarter style area. Meaning this area was just to be guarded. 'Good call longshot' she thought smirking a tad. As soon as they find jenn the better hopefully grab some extra ammo or even something better. What that could be tammy had no idea. But it would be smart indeed.

Tammy nodded to the crew. She gave a reassuring smile. Something that would light the heat of this battle.

The plan went downhill real fast, Tori had not only jumped the gun a bit but had gone in on her own. This was why he wanted to do this part alone, it was all to risky with the young women who, in his opinion, weren't ready for this kind of thing. And honestly, he wasn't sure if he was either. But if there was one thing he'd learned on the job was that you kept your focus and you did what you had to do.

Just as Austin stepped inside the shots started, "Holliday's started." He spoke in a low voice, and because of the teenager's shooting there was shouting and movement echoing through the halls. The man didn't particularly like being near the exit and before peeping around the corner he jogged up to the first room in the hall and peeked in. There was your average hospital room equipment as well as what looked to be a small nest of blankets in the corner, likely for any guards to sleep on once they got off shift. Once he was content it was clear he motioned for them to keep moving, they'd have to clear each room because there was no way to know where Jenn would be and they didn't want anyone coming out of one and coming up behind them.

The man paused at the first four way intersection of halls, just as he started to near the corner loud and quick footsteps started to approach from the hallway on the right. Austin tensed heavily, there was nowhere to hide and if he ran back he'd get spotted if whoever it was glanced down the hallway, then there were the girls who might not slip into rooms in time. It took only two seconds for a man to step around the corner "He--!" CRACK.

The butt end of the rifle Holliday had given Austin smashed directly into the mans face with a sickening crunch that very likely busted teeth among other damage. Either way the man crumbled instantly and Austin stepped over the body and immediately aimed the gun down the hall from which the stranger had come, expecting someone to have seen and expecting to have to shoot. Luckily it was empty and he'd been alone. Austin looked down between his legs just to be sure the man wasn't getting back up, and if he wasn't dead then he was out like a light.

What the hell, thought a confused Jennifer as she opened her eyes and looked around. She was still in the room. The bodies of the others still lie there. But Jennifer was confused. She seemed to have fallen over, to which suggests she fell asleep? It wasn't entirely impossible. The girl was overtired and had been beaten and hurt. But now wasn't the time to figure out how long she slept. Looking next to her, she had the syringe with the general anesthetics in it. The room was still dark, however, but her eyes could see through the light. The rifle was still slung over her shoulder.

As the young girl started to wake up more, she heard commotion within the halls, followed by gunshots. She knew exactly what was going on. It had to be her group coming to rescue her. It had to be. Filled with a sense of relief and joy, she was about to get up until she heard a voice coming down the hall.

"Kill those son's of bitches before they shoot this place up even more. I'll get the girl," which was followed by inaudible words.

Jennifer immediately went back into her position behind the door. The footsteps grew nearer and nearer, until she heard the door handle creak open. Light shown through the door, illuminating the room where it hit.

"What the fuck, why are the lights off? Hello," called out the voice, followed what sounded like the sound of someone racking the slide on a handgun.

Jennifer's heart sank. She knew that this was going go be a serious situation real fast. A shadow cast itself along the wall where the man was as he entered the room. As he walked in, it appears he was turning to the light switch by the room. It was at this moment that Jennifer jumped up and lunged at him with the syringe. Mere milliseconds before she got to him, he flipped the light switch. The room lit up, and the man started to turn as she was about to reach him. She could see it was that bastard Redman. He swiftly raised his hand to block her attack. As she lunged forward, he got his hand up fast enough to block it. She hit him, but he hit the syringe out of her hand. Both fell to the floor. As they regained their composure, Jennifer saw he dropped his gun. Her AR-15 was still slung over her shoulder, but it would take too much time to get it off of her when the gun was right by Redman. Reacting quickly, Jennifer tried to hit is hand before he could get to the gun. The syringe was too far away from either of them at this point to ever consider it. Her attempt, however, fell short. He got the gun. At this point, her best option was to try and get the gun pointed out of her direction. With a swift motion, Jennifer swung her hand down on his elbow holding the gun. This caused his hand to move upward with the gun, and release it. However, he was not phased. Cursing at her, he grabbed her and tossed her to the group. While on the ground, he had a sadistic look on his face.

"I ain't gonna kill you, little bitch. Oh, no. I'm going to do way worse to you. Plus, I can't let The Disciples not have you. Your capture to them will really help us out. And your friends? Oh, don't worry about them. We'll capture them all and make you kill each and every one of them. And then the things I do will really make you wish that you were never born."

Jennifer tried to crawl backwards, but every inch she moved, Redman followed. She couldn't unsling her gun; it just wasn't an option. Redman then pulled out his knife and smiled. He pointed it at her, and then put it up to her legs.

"I can cut you open right here so you can't run anymore. How does that sound?"

Jennifer backtracked towards the bodies of the two dead in here from before. Redman finally glanced at them, and he immediately grew angry.

"You killed more of my people," he yelled at her. He looked down at her leg, and took his knife and held it over her left leg.

"Time for you to feel some pain for my people you and your group keep killing. But don't worry, I still ain't killing you."

It was at the moment, that Jennifer say the machete right behind her. When he looked at her leg and was about to cut it open, she grabbed the machete, and quickly drove it into Redman's shoulder. He stumbled, and Jennifer managed to get her way up. At this point, Redman slipped on the pool of blood from Tommy's corpse. Jennifer walked over to him, as he attempted to pick his knife up. And with one fluid motion, she drove the machete into his head. It barely penetrated him, and bounced off, more so. He was slightly dazed. She then took another swing at his neck. This time, the machete penetrated his neck deep. Filled with anger, she continued to whack away at his neck as he fell to the ground. Somehow, he was still alive, and choking on his own blood. He looked at her. Jennifer couldn't look at him back. She took the machete and drove it down his neck on the ground. It went through and severed through almost all of his neck. He was finally dead.

Jennifer, almost drenched in blood at this point, her hair sweaty and messy, her clothes red, walked back. She dropped the machete in the pool of blood. She was horrified with what she just did, but she knew she had to do it. Taking a deep breath, she regained her composure and turned to the door. It was closed. She ran up to it, and tried to turn the handle. it was locked again. Damn it! She turned around, and looked at Redman. Out of anger, she took her gun, aimed at his head, which was barely attached at this point, and fired a round into his head. He did the same to Tommy. She knew she wasted two rounds, but she didn't care. Fuck these mother fuckers. Standing over them, looking at the death and gore she created, she listened to the gun fight outside. She didn't know if her friends are alive or not, and where they were. But she was counting on them.

The sudden sound of footsteps outside made her question who was out there. Concerned another person was coming for her, she ran behind the bed that they had her secured to originally when they brought her here. She peeked her head over the bed and had her rifle pointing at the door. If she had to shoot someone, she was ready. She was full of adrenaline, and listened outside the door as she heard footsteps and sounds of a possible fight. Maybe it was her group, maybe not. She didn't want to take chances, so she pointed the rifle at the door and made sure her safety was off.

"Nice hit," Miyuki said as she looks over a wall, seeing a guy with his back towards them as he was walking down the hallway. Taking a deep breath, she disconnects herself and focuses all her energy and emotions on her shooting. She moves over and pulls out an arrow and leans it against the bow string, pulling back. She closes one of her eyes to aim properly and fires the arrow, going though the guy's neck. Miyuki didn't flinch as she walks over to the guy and finds he had a radio on him. She picked it up and turned it on, that way they could hear what men were on what floor and also some information about where Jen is. Normally, Miyuki would suggest splitting up, but because of how out numbered they were, she felt it wasn't the best idea, but in order to search the rooms fast, they needed to cover ground. "Alright, here's the plan. There are about 12 rooms on this floor, I say that two groups covers six rooms. If one of us hears anything inside any of the rooms, do not go in. Instead get the other group as back up."

"I took him down quietly, He didn't get to call for help did he?" Tori shot back at Miyuki and shook her head. She wiped her blade on the top if her jeans watching as the blood smeared across them. A shudder ran down her spine at the fact it was human and she quickly averted her eyes to the hallway infront of them. She felt Tammy come up beside her and looked over nodding her head when the girl basically told her not to freak the fuck out. She had no plans on doing that and right now was doing her best to avoid it completely. She took in a deep breath through her nose and let it out through her mouth just concentrating on the movement of her lungs for a moment, It gave her min a chance to regather from it's scattered and jumbled thoughts. The woman jumped slightly when she heard the gunshot's her head automatically turning toward the source of the sound..though it seemed a good bit away from them for now.

Well they knew they were here than..this was were the real party started. Tori gripped onto her knife in her hand like it was her lifeline and in many ways it was, It was what was gonna keep her alive in here. She seemed to only blink and Austin suddenly had someone knocked out and on the floor.. "Right then..." the murmured to herself and simply moved on with the group. She had been eyeing the doors herself starting to wonder how many there was when Miyuki spoke up. She glanced over at the girl When she spoke up and nodded to the plan "Sounds pretty solid" She stated in agreement with the idea. She didn't really hang around much after that, she motioned to Tammy to come with her and took the left side of the hallway. She took her steps slowly so as to keep them light and began to approach the first door so that they could listen inside.

As they scanned through the area just after she helped tori regain her composure. Tammy noticed miyuki was distracted she knows we can't just unlock every hidden door right? That would take hours. 'We are gonna have to be smarter than that.' She thoght. Rather than telling miyuki to get the fuck up and help us in this fight or that she's a dumb ass for thinking a Bobby pin would be on any of us, she instead told her. "We are gonna need your help." Tammy paused. "Listen," She finished. There were sets of footsteps sounding like they were coming down stairs. This meant they were all coming from somewhere on the second floor. And judging by the foot fall they were at least several seconds away. They headed toward the noise and one guy in a black coat saw the group down the hall. Halting the others. He was armed, with a hunting rifle. "Take cover guys!!!!!" Tammy headed into the first open door room out of the line of fire. They were about 30 yards down the hall away. Shots began to fire from the rifle. And some of the others began to join. "Now guys move!!" She said. The fear erupted in her voice at the end of the sentence but she quickly halted the fear away and took a breath. 'You can do this holliday taught you how to shoot a gun. Just stay strong and follow through.' She thought to herself. The gun fire prevented them from getting out to take a shot. The noise cracked through the hallways. They didn't have any fully automatic weapons though which was helpful for them as neither did they. She waited for her moment. There had to be at least 5 to 7 of their men.

Miyuki was about to tell Tammy that she needed the bobby pin as she only had one set of keys and she knew how to pick locks. When Tammy said listen, she closed her eyes and heard footsteps. Seconds later, a guy comes up carrying rifle and sees them. Tammy told them to take cover and she hid behind a wall, "Well there goes the plan!" She says as more men came up. She pulled out her bow and pulls out a few arrows. She hears one of the guys talking into his radio, telling his men about the situation and their location. Miyuki leans against the wall, "Come on, think....think!" she hears the one who was firing the rifle at them needing to reload as she took the chance and shoots him in the throat, when suddenly she felt a burning on her arm, like it was on fire. She looks down at it and sees that a bullet grazed it. "Great, just great!" She goes into her bag and pulls out a bandana that she would wear during the summer and ties it around the wound. She decides to ignore the wound for now, as the adrenaline help numb the pain as she looks over at the people who were still fireing, "Hope you guys know how to shoot your guns," She says as she waits for a moment to fire another arrow.

Austin had been quick to dive into the nearby room at the first sighting of the men, groaning at the fact that they were now at a disadvantage in more than one way. The man peeked out the doorway and jerked back just as a bullet grazed the wall outside then raised then stepped out partially with a raised Springfield, not waiting long to line up the iron sights he let off a quick shot before ducking back inside. The cursing he heard let him know he'd hit one of them but by the sounds of it, not fatally.

From his position he could see Tammy in the room across the hall from him as well as Miyuki across and a little further, Austin guessed Tori was in the room across from Miyuki's. "We're going to be trapped here real soon as soon as they head us off. Miyuki, Tori, the two of you should keep moving down the hall while Tammy and I cover you until you can get off this hallway. Head off any of them coming around that way and maybe find Jenn along the way!" Austin shouted loud enough for the three to hear him. To him it was a sound plan, well if he did say so himself. The only issue would be that he and Tammy would either have to deal with the attackers or hold out long enough for help to return. Which to be fair it was a long hallway and there would likely be a long standoff until they started getting moved up on. Besides if this went downhill and they did get pinned at least they wouldn't all be captured or killed. Now with the gunfire inside the building everyone from this group could very likely realize they had intruders, it all depended on the person really.

Tammy sat in fear she noticed across the hall stood austin, she had no idea what to do but at least the others were ok. She thought for a moment. If there are 7 people max then there's a chance each of us to take one out thus leaving only 2 max left. Hopefully there'd be less. But only one way of knowing. Tammy pulled the gun holliday donated to her and observed it for a few seconds. She recalled the exact way he said to use it and remember each step. She loaded the chamber feeling a bullet shift into its correct place. And glanced over at austin. "Use these right?" She asked giving a reassuring smile. She leaned out real quick immediately feeling a bullet fly past her. She took aim the way she was taught except the oblong new shape made it different. At the same time it was easier to keep it steady. One man holding a short barreled shotgun was reloading from a similar form of cover. As he leaning out she took the shot. He did not fall.

"Fuck!" She dove back into hiding. And recocked the firearm. The guns recoil was not enough to set her fully back but a normal young woman would have definitely been spooked. She had such terrible firearm expierience, but so did they it seemed. Their shots weren't consistent and none of her fellow comrades were in any major danger. And along with that they were stuck hiding behind cover. Which possibly indicated that they had no fighting expierience. This could play into tactical advantage. "Miyuki, austin!! Can we all go at the same time for a clean shot?!" She said loud enough for them to hear but not loud enough so the enemy would.

Tori was pressed so tight against the wall of the room she was hiding in that she might as well have been a part of the wallpaper. She clutched her knife tightly to her chest and listened to the bullets that ricocheted mere inches from her. The woman was right beside the door frame and dared to shuffle her way down so that she could peak around and see what was going on. Tori spotted Miyuki in the room across from her and watched as the girl tied the bandanna around her arm, She grit her teeth and opted to poke her head out a little more to see just who it was they were up against. Seeing the group at the end of the hall she quickly ducked for cover once more. "Ah hell" the mutter came out more like a hiss. Well it was safe to say with Holliday already shooting his gun and this lot just finding them that the whole building would know they were here by now. 'Just great' she thought to herself.

Tori didn't get long to wallow in feeling sorry for herself until she heard Austin's voice ring out over the group and she frowned. Should they really split up? that was a larger group than them down there and if they left just the two of them here there was no telling if they would be able to keep them held off. However when she heard tammy's voice ring out next her eyes widened. "I can't shoot, I have never shot a gun in my life. not an one anyways" she called over. The only time she ever had was that first day at the fuel station and she had shot it as a distraction. It had hurt like hell too..she cringed at that. No way would she take one of those guys out that plan was to flimsy. She sighed...ah they were gonna have to make a run for it and split like grumpy head said weren't they. She thunked her head back against the wall and closed her eyes as afew more bullets past between them. "Well shit i say we go with what Austin said. We can double back when we make a clean break and get jen and help them out."

Still caaught in a sleepy daze, looking at her for a minute before shaking her head to wake herself up and smiling. " Yeah, Ofcorse it is. It is better if you do it anyway. Don't walk too far. Here, I'll make little rascal follow you." She chuckled looking at the dog and commanding it to follow the pregnant lady. She helped the pregnant lady up soon after. " If you get uncomfortable , try bucking you hips forward a little, or going back to your hands and knees. Yell if ya need me sweetie,' she smiled, before walking off. The puppy had stayed behind,s ticking with Tiff, sniffing at her belly.

Nickole sucked as she walked to where the fire used to exist before it was existed, playing with the ash. She swirled the grey and black ash about, feeling a cold pretzel push her lightly, which she ignored. She was weari her coat, witch managed to keep her warm during these kind of things. She huffed lightly as she's told, forlwing as she big and played with her piercing. " Why can't everything be normal..' She hummed to herself, poking at her eyebrow perching. She WOUDLNT take it out, no no. It might get infected, and that's bad, escecially now. She looked behind her , keeping an eye on Tiff to make sure everything was alright then walked back to the car, opening it to see what was in it, and see how comfortable it was.

She pressed on the cushioning and huffed, finding a small lever to grab and push, so she could tilt the seat back just enough to stabilise the woman's back if she were to give birth as they were gone, which had a high chance of happening. The only reason why she was alive is. E cause she knew how to avoid infections, heal herself. Which was good, so far. She payed a towel down that she had pulled from her bag, one that was meant for drying herself and blocking bloodstream from serve wounds, but she had Ofcorse cleaned and dried it.

Leaving her bag in the jeep she stepped out and thumped on the floor , having her knives on her. She pulled it out, and tossed it up, and down.. Over and over.

When Nickole helped her up, Tiffany sighed and took a deep breath. For the most part, she was holding her belly since it did ease the pain a bit, despite it feeling really heavy. Then again, her body really filled out during the pregnancy, even in a Post-Apocalyptic World. She didn't stray too far from the Campsite. Her thoughts turned to Miyuki and the others. She could still hear the gunfire too, which left her worried.

With a Dog watching her, Tiffany felt slightly safer. While walking, she felt exhausted. After walking around in a circle and leaning on the trees every so often, she went back to find Nickole, to see her relaxing in the Jeep and playing with the knife. Seeing Nickole play around with the knife made Tiffany really uncomfortable as she started shielding her belly before sighing in pain.

Tears hit her eyes as the contractions came and go. It wasn't long until she wanted to lay down again, so she went back her tent and started laying down. "Hey, go ahead and get Nickole...I don't think I can really walk anymore..." She said before wiping the tears out of her eyes and then petting the dog before sending him off to go get Nickole. "I'm so ready to have this baby..."

[/QUOTE]
Nickole took a deep and calm breath as she sat by the jeep, leaning on the wheel. She thought what the baby might look like. Perhaps a stranger Nickole has never met, like the child father, or maybe Tiffany. The soon to be mother was beautiful, and she was strong, which is what young Nickole like most about this motherly woman. She stared at the blade as if flung untoward the air, her head tilting up as it shined lightly. It reflected the light, before landing right into her hand. Soon, she put it away.

The dog looked up and perked its ears, looking something dead in the eye as its tail lowered before his ears lowered and didn't tense as much, looking back up and the mother and licking its nose. He stood up on his hind legs and sniffed her belly, knowing that were was a small baby in there. He didn't touch her though, he just landed on his paws.

He followed her to the tent, bouncing lightly as he followed. As she layed down, the dog sniffed her face, the wet nose stroking her cheek. As she asked for Nickole, he tilted his head back and ran out of the tent, barking at Nickole.

Nickole snapped out of her daze, and sighed. " Calmd own calm down!" She frowned, mgrabbing the towel and her bag, running back to where the dog led her, peeking in. " Hi..Okay, just take deep breaths. You wait outse and watch." She ordered the dog. She sat beside the nursing mother, grabbing the bottom of her dress. " You don't mind, yeah?" She pulled it up, putting the towl under the mother.

Miyuki looks over and listens to Austin's plan. To be honest, it was way better than the situation that they were in right now. She looks over at others, "I agree with Austin. Just don't get yourself killed," She says as she sighs and hands Austin the radio she picked up from the person she killed, "Channel 3, radio us if you have problems," She whispered. She started to feel the pain from her arm coming up again as she looks over at Tori, "Let's go." She says as she looks over and wait for a chance to run. Once the chance came up, she gestured to Tori and they went down the hall to hopefully find Jennifer. Miyuki keeps her radio on and close. She just hoped that they didn't make the wrong decision.

It was both relieving and terrifying to see both Tori and Miyuki leave, and Austin had leaned out of the doorway as flat as he could and raised an arm with his pistol, firing three shots to try and keep the guys in their cover rather than trying to shoot at the girls in the back as they moved.

After he ducked back in he glanced over at the woman and flashed her a quick smile that masked just how nervous he was, "If you want to go with them now would be the time." What was he saying? Here Austin was risking everything and more than anything he wanted to hate it, but to be honest it was refreshing...he sort of felt like his old self. The firefighter that risked his life time after time running into burning or collapsing buildings to save lives. And here he was putting himself as a buffer between a group of men with guns and a bunch of girls, both situations absolutely terrifying but he knew that his decisions could save lives.

The selflessness never really left, but he'd learned to ignore it. But right now, in this moment? He felt alive again, even if he was shooting at other people. Maybe it was partially the adrenaline that helped keep that thought from his mind but for some reason the light smile wasn't leaving his face. Drawing the bolt back to release the shell Austin readied another shot, readied himself near the frame, then took a deep-breath. Standing up he positioned himself in a different area of height than the last time he'd taken a shot, which he'd been crouched on one knee.

"Hey assholes!" He called out, one shot of retaliation hit somewhere in the hall...two....three. Three was a good number, Austin peeked the gun out and lined up a shot with his eye to see one of the angry jerk's aiming back. Austin's finger squeezed the trigger and managed to catch sight of the man dropping just as he ducked back inside.

This tactic would only work so long before the men would probably realize they had numbers and rush them...that or maybe they'd wait them out with bullets. "Our lucks going to run out eventually." Austin called over to Tammy.

@tammynorthland

When the decision was quickly made that the groups best chances were to split Tori took a deep breath, Right ok...she could do this..she nodded to herself and gave herself alittle prep speech in her head. The woman hopped from foot to foot to get her muscles moving and warmed up again after crouching so she could bolt the moment they were able. She looked over the hallway and watched Miyuki hand the radio over, she nodded to her whens he said let's go. She inched toward her door frame some more and one of her feet slid slightly out of it to ive her a good start. When Miyuki shot of Tori was after her in less than a second. She concentrated soley on getting the hell out of that hallway which was actually very useful in ignoring the gunshots and they face they had just left two of their own facing off with people who would very much like to kill them if they got the shot.

"We need to find jen and go back to them. they can't hold that hallway forever" She called over lightly to miyuki while keeping her pace. How on earth they were going to do that was another matter entirely though. The radio waves had been mostly silent during their break in and even when there was chatter on it there was nothing to do with their prisoner. Tori tried to rack her brains on just how the hell they could figure out what room she would be in. "So..got any idea's?" She asked.

The group had the idea to split up. Tammy personally didn't agree since that would reduce number but she came to terms they had their mind set. Tammy during this time managed to lean out her first killshot. The bullet felt like it was in slow motion as if she felt the man's head get split through with a chunk of high speed lead. Tammy turned away watching him fall. She didn't agree with killing. She knew she would have to learn to though.

Tammy glanced over as the others left leaving just her and austin. Which was kind of good. At this point the shots continued to fire and they only had to worry about the other two getting pinned on their own. Tammy glanced around the corner at the enemies and carefully pointed the gun holliday taught her the basics of she was a horrible shot. But se was getting a bit better. And possibly luckier; she aimed at the spot she projected the next enemy to veer from. Low and behold, the body leaned out she breathed out and pulled the trigger after she ensured alignment was on point.

Bang!!

Another shot hit this man's chest and he flung to the ground like a rag doll signaling he was fatally wounded. At this point the enemies progressed moving only about 20 yards away.... close enough for hand to hand.

"Our luck might be getting better now!" She gave a slight sadistic grin to the old man and noted out loud. "Clubs and rocks right?" Tammy referee to her crowbar. Not to mention austin was well built as well. They had a tendency to hold their physical weight as well as throw it around. The idea was to retreat into cover and pick the other two off but she only could vaguely hint that to austin in fear they would hear. She figured catching them in the rooms they were next to would help. And considering they were shooting less and less....they were probably low on fire rounds. Tammy drew her pistol and crowbar and slung the rifle over her relatively stronger than average shoulders. She gave austin another look, "shall I review a plan or do you get the idea." She said amidst the noise and haste

@Crono

Miyuki nods as she holds an arrow to her bow, "Here are the keys to the doors," she says as she hands Tori the keys. "I will guard us." Miyuki was panting as she looks down at her arm as blood was starting to leak though, "Thank the Lord it wasn't a bullet hole, still hurts like hell." She chose to ignore it as Jen had worst than her so she felt no place to complain. She sees a guy's shadow coming around the courner. Once his physical body was there, Miyuki fires her arrow at his neck, killing him. She didnt like it but knew there was no other way around it in this world. "Try the doors, Tori." She says as she wanted to find Jen and get to the others as well as Holliday.

Tiffany found it hard to even move around at all as her muscles started tensing up as her body started responding to the labor symptoms. "Wait, what's that towel there for? Is it for when the baby comes out?" She asked, panting and just trying to catch her breath. Her contractions were steadily increasing in strength and time, so they were stronger and much longer then they were a few hours ago. It wasn't all that hard to tell she was in pain either. "Seems that the little one's being very patient right now though, thank god..." she sighed.

" Uhm, no. For the blood." She smiled awkwardly, timing the contractions in her heads. She sighed lightly, wearing her gloves and rubbing her belly, feeling the slight twitches against her hands, massaging her lightly to put the woman at ease. " I bet she'll be wonderfull and beautiful, just like you." She chuckled me trying to ease the moment. " Tell me when your compleatly ready, okay? She sat on her knees, getting ready for anything. She took a sanitary whipe, and cloeaned her, ending up using more than a few whites to clean the woman's legs thighs and other stufso no infections happened.

Austin looked at Tammy in disbelief as she seemed to be looking forward to the group of guys getting close enough. Austin was the complete opposite, they were outnumbered and would likely get overrun. Sure, maybe Austin could go toe to toe with one or two but all it would take was a second of distraction for one of them to pull a gun and shoot him while he was distracted, the same could be said for Tammy.

It was then that Austin tried to take turn and look thoroughly at the dark room he'd taken refuge in. For the most part it looked rather untouched from before the world ended, easily one of the rooms that never got touched for anything that was useful. The bed across the room was still sitting in a proper position and the bathroom door on his left was sitting wide open. The room was on the inner side of the hospital hallway so his room had no window or any other access, which was momentarily disheartening in that he realized he was either going to die in this stupid room or put up a fight and live.

Then there was the fact that the men knew which rooms they were in, so surprising them wasn't likely going to happen. This idea of hers is going to get me killed... Austin stepped towards the bathroom and grabbed hold of the heavy door, then he slammed it, hard. The sound of a door like that hitting the frame with such force echoed throughout the halls, his plan was to make it look like he was holding up in the bathroom. However he'd actually be around the corner between the bathroom wall and the hospital bed in the corner.

Austin propped the rifle against the wall and took his hunting knife in one hand and his pistol in the other. The man took a deep breath with his back against the wall, watching the direction of where he hoped not to see one of the men peek around the wall and stayed quiet while listening.

tammy backed into the corner of the opposite room across the hall from where Austin retreated into, at this point there were about 3 people left hopefully no more were on their way. Tammy withdrew the rifle that Holliday let her use and slung it over her shoulder. She was shaking with fear and adrenaline, also in addition to that she was trying to push away the fear of the people she had just killed. Tammy drew the pistol as the footsteps continued down the hall.

" they are retreating into the rooms!" a man with a raspy voice called out,

she listened to a whisper in the hallway they had to be ten paces from the two rooms, as the shadows casted she watched one enter the room Austin ran into, she hoped he was ok.

that means 2 were going to go in her room. Tammy hid crowbar in hand behind the door which was open for them. she waited feeling the tense pressure in her mind she had to calm the storms, she took a deep breath.

a shot fired into the room shattering the window in the room, she was trying not to move, they wanted to draw her out it seemed. Tammy saw the first shadow walk in through the door hinge crack, she notice the door was lockable from the inside, probably as well as the outside. he creeped in.

"c'mon out bitch we know your here. he came into view and made clearance past the door. Tammy didn't think just acted, one was still outside, she slammed the door shut with a swift movement and shove him causing him to drop the knife he was holding. She locked the door immediately hearing the man outside, "hey you ok what the fuck just happened!?" he yelled pounding the door. this allowed her to handle one at a time, rifle shots flung through the door as Tammy watched the reaction of the much older raspy voiced man. he glanced around all this happened in probably 5 seconds, his face was old and wrinkled he probably was in his late 50's. he wasn't armed with a firearm. Tammy conserved ammo and swung at him. he managed to avoid the steel of the crowbar and rebuttled with a kick to her chest knocking the wind from her body, she fell back holding firm. considering an average build would have knocked a woman her age down she handled that well. she went for another swing this time contacting his chest he grunted. "fucking I'm uncultured!" he managed to groan and reached for his knife swiping at her stomach again, she doubled back.

"fucking assholes." tammy replied rage inside her.

another shot blasted the door. the man was trying to shoot her through the door.

or perhaps... Tammy swung at the man once more at the same time his slash from the 7 inch bowie knife clanked the crowbar shuttering her wrists from vibrations as well as his, he tackled her to the ground feeling the rifle sling off and sliding onto the ground out of arm reach. Tammys let out an oof as he gave a sadistic smile. her pistol was in hand as he tried grabbing it, "bitch think you can outsmart us?" he grunted as he fumbled for the gun.

Tammy did not reply her crowbar was disarmed as well as his knife. she tried making an aim for the shot as he managed to grab it from her hand.

He pointed it at her, " take this you I'm uncultured!"

she froze in fear watching the finger pull the trigger.

she didn't feel the shot. The gun didn't fire...

"what the fuck?" he said as he sat on top of her.

she reached for the crowbar managing to clutch it in her fingers and pulled it into her hand forming the fist around it.

a smooth swinging motion knocked him over, she made solid contact on his temple. "safety must have been on" she smiled a bit. for once not knowing how to use a gun came in handy. guess he wasn't good with one either.

Tammy watched him stumble to get up just as he did, he reaimed and fiddled with the gun in an attempt to remove safety. another shot flew through the door barely grazing him, it gave tammy an idea. She was up as well as he and she could see the daze in his face, he was clumsy probably fighting consciousness, "don't fuck with our people." she took the swing breaking his hand and disarming him. she heard the bones crack he let out a bloodcurtling scream and she cleared away from the door. with another swing as hard as she could she slammed the hooked side of the crowbar into his neck making his throat most likely collapse, Tammy went numb mentally and stopped feeling remorse at this point. she slammed her body into him thudding against the door, he was fighting consciousness.

BANG!

wood splintered again and the old man coughed....

a moment of silence grew in the hospital, she stared at the mans eyes as he took another shallow breath, and another more shallow than the last. he coughed. blood fell from his mouth as he fell to the tile of the hospital.

'Think outside the box.' Tammy became more insightful and wise during these grim times of the world seeing its last days, and she wasn't going to die.

"Hey open up Will, I can get a better shot!" the man called as tammy collected her scattered weapons, she picked up the pistol, no words came out of her. she figured where the safety lever was. and shut it off.

The man pounded on the door again, and again. she aimed the pistol at the door and fired off until the pounding stopped.

Tammy heard silence outside as she opened the door, the man took about 4 shots to the stomach and chest. he was on the ground silent and cold. she checked if the coast was clear, and began running down the halls.

She heard turmoil in the other room as Austin made his battle. It sounded like a winning battle on his behalf. She scowered the halls looking in each room. She came across a fallen body at the end it was an older bearded man in a set of overalls, she searched the body hastily. She found no firearms, instead a wallet which she found no need for, and..... a hospital drawing, although crudely made it held a couple points of interest. one being where they held weapons, the other.... a room at the corner of the east wing of the hospital 1st... it was marked with a crude drawing of prison bars, 'is this where they keep survivors?' she thought in her head... She pocketed the map after quickly studying it. the man coughed he was barely alive. She glanced back at him and walked up. she asked him, " is the survivor in that room you marked with bars?" she waited the answer.

His breathes were shallow like the older man, he was the man she shot in the chest, most likely had a collapsed lung, he probably wouldn't make it from a shot like that in this world.

he shuddered a breath, " that bitch in there is dead..." he breathed another shallow pieced together breath.

Tammy felt a tear fall from her cheek which burned her cut on her cheek.

she took a step back and pulled the pistol making another shot into his head. "fuck you!" Tammy stepped back trying to register his final words. But he said she was in there, meaning she could at least find the place and see for herself.

Tammy sprinted down the halls viewing no resistance until she reached the east wing.Sh referred tthe poorly drawn map and after what felt like an eternity... found the room. Tammy creeped up quietly, if hostiles were inside she didn't want to alert them. instead She glanced into the smallwindow quietly. The room had no windows, a perfect place where people could not escape from, a good place to hide people, she creaked the door, it was locked. Tammy could not see anyhting the lights were out. If people were in there they certainly would make noise by now considering they would be able to see her through the window, Tammy wedged her corwbar in and begun to pry at the door, it wouldnt budge. Instead Tammy tried to open the door through a more violent manner. Tammy pulled the pistol out and aimed it at the door, although she remembered seeing it in movies she wasnt sure if itd work. She fired a shot at the lock shattering the handle. She tried to open the door, no results, Tammy tried with the rifle this time.

At the trigger pull the gun banged loudly through the halls, the door released shrapnel all over some hit her chest making her wince in pain as she saw it draw blood but not major enough to worry about currently. Tammy yanked the handle and let the door open as she cleared the path of it.

she remained quiet to be ready for enemy gun fire. she opened her mouth holding back her tears in case the man said the truth. " Jennifer?" she almost wanted her not to be inside the room, she was scared for her life, and Jenns. Most importantly She did not want that man to be right. She stayed out of the doors gunfire path. Shaking. "Jennifer?"

@Crono @Jennifer Shotain

The sounds of a gunfight ravaged on through the hospital. Jennifer thought it was her group. She hid behind the bed, rifle pointed at the door, ready to shoot anyone who wasn't friendly to her. Once the hallway fell somewhat silent, she worried the worst; her friends had been killed. As she was beginning to wonder this, she heard footsteps come up the hall. The footsteps eventually stopped at the door. The girl's attention suddenly shifted back to the door. She heard someone try and pry it open. She considered shooting the door, but being that it could be someone from her group, she decided to go about this very cautiously, to avoid killing someone she doesn't.

Then she heard a shot. And the door opened. A muffled voice came through. She didn't hear it. And then she heard it again. She saw legs appear in the room. She swiftly then rose up, gun pointed out.

It was Tammy.

Jennifer was filled with a relief, but at the same time, she wasn't okay. What she had to do in this room would change her forever. So at first, she stood there, covered in blood from head to toe, drenched in sweat, looking like hell. She tried to find a way to response. She didn't know how to.

"Tammy," she finally said, lowering the gun. She said it almost with a mix of coldness and some fear from her experiences here.

She stared at her. The Jennifer that Tammy knew wasn't there. What she had to do in that night in that very room changed her. She wasn't the same. Right now, she was broken. Lookong into her eyes, you could see coldness.

"We have to go," she said in a low voice.

She walked over to the body of Tommy, and checked his body for more magazines for the AR-15. Finding four more, she grabbed them, and stuffed them into anywhere she could fit them. It was at this moment that Jennifer stopped and looked at the blood all over her. And then she stared at the death she caused. She didn't want to cry anymore. She was over that. That was useless, that was naïve. This world required her to do things like this. And she realized that. In ways, it made her insane how quickly she turned from morality seeker to an almost cold blooded, ruthless killed. She snapped out of her trance, and looks up at Tammy.

"Where is everyone else? What's going on?"

The girl had little emotion in her voice. She almost sounded like a robot. She was almost unrecognizeable.

"We have to kill every single one of them. There are some girls that are being held prisoner here. I don't know if they're alive anymore. We have to find them. But I doubt they're still alive. But first, our priority is to kill them all and then loot the place for their stuff and get the hell out of here, last I remember. But I first need to know where everyone else is. Why are you here alone? Did everyone else die?"

You could hear the change in her voice, a lack of emotion, an almost robotic like tone. Her thoughts of trying not to kill all turned into killing them all and looting them, exactly what she preached about not doing the night before, worrying about the morality of it. But now, now she doesn't care. She wants to kill them and loot their stuff. And she has every reason to want to do so.
