Realistic or Modern Zombie Apocalypse

As Austin gunned it with the car, Jennifer grabbed a couple mags from her backpack. She stuffed two in her pockets, which barely fit as is. Next, she took out the empty mag, placed it in her backpack. Then, she out the new mag in, and hit the bolt release. It made a satisfying 'click' when the bolt went forward. Just as she put the new mag in, something impacted the front windshield. Austin then suddenly turned the car in the opposite direction as fast as he could. Jennifer wasn't expecting this, and she hit her head against her gun. It left her in a short daze, but then she snapped back into it, however with pain in her head.

"I'm okay, just hit my head hard on my gun," Jennifer replied to Miyuki. "Austin, what the hell happened? Was someone shooting at us," she asked him, amid his frustration.

Jennifer was unaware of exactly what happened, and she knew that Austin certainly did. From what she could piece together, there was something that impacted the front windshield, which by the looks of it were bullets, and this caused Austin to turn around. But who was shooting at them? She thought the area was clear of bandits who attacked them earlier, as she hadn't encountered any fire from anyone when she made her way to the car.

Glancing out the window, Jennifer noticed a person, who tried to wave them down, but they passed him, nearly hitting him.

"Who the hell was that," she said, turning around in her seat to see if she could see behind them.

"Nathan dodging out in time stands up with a patched up leg walking towards them to warn them to turn back as he gets to the driver window he says"Turn back a I came from the direction you're headed a large horde was going after me"As he asked if there are any other survivors"

@Jennifer Shotain

Miyuki looks over at the window with the strange man in the window as she holds Josh closer to her. When the man said something about a huge group going after him causing her roll her eyes, "No kidding. We just came from that direction." She looks down and sees Josh falling asleep. Miyuki takes off her jacket and wrap the child in it to keep him warm.

Miyuki shakes her head as she looks over at the guy, "Yes I did hear you property, hence the response I just gave you. We just came from that location." Miyuki tried to keep her voice down as she was trying to keep Josh sleeping as she looks at him. She looks over at Austin, wondering why she was the one talking when she was behind him. She looks over at the others, hoping that they would help her out.

The car swerved as tammy held her grip. She wasn't weak at all so she tensed up and held the corner swerve. She wanted to be driving....she was probably better. Austin slowed the car. There was a man. Wait... 'a man!!!' She thought. She drew her gun slowly the gentlemen didn't look threatening but she was not going to chance that.

She rolled down the window while he made notes for the passangers.' A horde was coming? Wait what the fuck is happening' she thought. He was right in our fucking grill. Standing in front of jennifer window. Tammy rolled down the window enough to let a pistol through. She impulsively drew it. "Keep your space, we aren't here to fuck around with strangers !" She said out of rage.

In nature animals used to use defenses to fend off predators. The frilled neck lizard is harmless but when threatened he will buff up his neck to intimidate prey. They then would lunge forward to push back the enemy predator.

This appeared to be a tactic she was currently using. Jennifer glanced a disapproving look at her as she started to realize the gentlemen probably was stronger than her. She begun to notice the equipment he had. She might have pulled the wrong move but she wouldn't let herself regret it.

She just remembered 'Oh ya.....my guns unloaded....'

@Crono @Jennifer Shotain @Lola Bedia @VirtualNotoriety

"Not at us, least I don't think so. But in our general direction." Austin told Jennifer, the babies cries were slowly driving him mad in the backseat. Though he left out just who it had been, because more than likely they'd want to go back for David. And that was out of the question at this point and it'd likely only end with someone getting killed. The man was ignoring any of the cuts on his face made from the impact of the glass, mainly thanks to adrenaline and secondly because none were beyond just cuts.

Austin saw the person ahead of them, but assumed it was an undead like the rest. It wasn't until they nearly ran him down that Austin saw the waving arms and realized it was a person. Austin swerved but only a little, he was willing to try and not hit the stranger but not at the risk of crashing and killing them all. "Motherfucking fuck!" Austin would have kept going ignoring the moron who decided standing in the road was a good idea, but the women had a different plan. It was three against one and while Austin was still adamant they could turn on him at any second, so he put the brakes on and took out his pistol.

The man proceeded to waltz up to the vehicle and Austin just kept a death glare on him and held up his gun to keep him at gunpoint, this guy rubbed him the wrong way in more than one. Great, there was possibly a large group of the undead in the direction they were heading. "Yeah, well we'll take our chances." Austin nodded to the direction they'd come from, "It's not too good in that direction either. So my suggestion? Head East or West."

Jennifer wanted to pull her gun out, but the large rifle was hard to maneuver in a small space, even with the stock folded. She did, however, try her best to point the gun at him. She was concerned that he was with the group that shot Doc.

"Are you part of that group that just fucking killed one of us," she said, pointing the rifle at him.

She had no way to know whether he was or wasn't, but it wasn't an opportune time to just waltz on in. Tammy, being the way she was, she drawed the firearm on him, and immediately started to get pushy. Tammy seemed to be the very impulsive by nature, so her reaction didn't surprise her. Jennifer, however, noticed a critical flaw in her spur of the moment draw; there was no magazine inside of the handgun. If this were a critical situation where the first one to draw and fire won, Tammy would have lost. But with training, she could improve. Jennifer was like that at one point too, but with practice, she got better, which took place before and after the undead started to walk.

"Austin, we don't have time to just sit here, we've got to go," Jennifer said to him, while keeping her eyes and rifle on the man.

While Jennifer was acting quite defensively, she had a good reason, and was surprised the others weren't so defensive. They didn't have time to stop and talk. Their place of occupation had just been shot up, resulting in one dead in their small group. She and the others had no true way of knowing if this man was actually part of that group or not, and whether or not he was a good or bad person. This was just a bad time to catch them, and she would feel sorry if he was truly a good man. But now was a bad time to show up, and Jennifer was angry at how people killed Doc.

As the survivors pulled out guns aimed at him, he says, "Woah! Let's not do anything Drastic I'm a SAS medic I wouldn't shoot someone without reason." Putting his hands up to show he isn't hostile.

The Hospital. That was all he needed to hear to confirm his suspicions. On top of that she pleaded to let her return. Holliday could only laugh. "Now why would I let you go back to your friends over there? So you can tell them my location? So they can kill me just like they did my friend? You people, just because you wasted so many supplies clearing that damn hospital you think you can just go kill others and take theirs. This is why I hate humans."

Holliday was about to pull the trigger, it would only have taken the slightest twitch of the finger. He didn't care how weak she looked, he was now confident that she was the enemy. But a split second before he pulled off the shot mooing caught his attention. Out of the darkness stumbled at least 20 zeds, coming in from several directions. It didn't take Holliday long to do the math. Between the 3 revolvers he had on him at the moment, he only had 18 rounds. That left at least two undead standing, not accounting for the fact that the low light would throw off his aim a bit. Sure he could try and use his machete to finish the last of them off but it was way to risky. No, his best chance was to try and get the girl to kill a few of them as well.

"Ill tell you what miss. Pull your weight and Ill let you live." It wasn't really like he had a choice though. By the time that the fight would be over his guns would be empty and he wouldn't have the time to reload. She could probably rush him or run away, depending on what she wanted to do. Sure he could retrieve his rifle or shot gun from the truck, but it would still take to long. He'd need her help, ironic as it was.

Tammy held her ground and instead of Jennifer stopping her or someone else telling her to back down Jennifer joined in. Tammy was impulsive but she was not stupid, even thought the firearm was not loaded Tammy did not even think twice about how she would feel on the other end. 'treat every gun as if its loaded' Holliday said in her head. the voice echoed like a conscious.

she held her ground which was not much due to the fact she was siting. The man opened his mouth.

As the survivors pulled out guns aimed at him, he says, "Woah! Let's not do anything Drastic I'm a SAS medic I wouldn't shoot someone without reason." Putting his hands up to show he isn't hostile.

she let the idea steep in her head for a moment her mind was on overdrive and she was still shaking with adrenaline which this situation definitely did not help. she begun to speak slower. "An SAS medic? what inclinations do you think we would have to believe that?!" her mind raced if he went hostile she immediately knew the bluff would fail but Jennifer would pull the trigger. She held firm grip firm but not to tight. Tammy begun to realizez that the gentlemen was still keeping the hands raised, And to be honest on her grounds she would break them with a swift swing. she knew her limitations though.

"who are you? how many are there of you, and why should we believe you?" she said as she started to notice her sentence was probably the most protective responsible thing she said since she was with these survivors, who probably definitely did not trust her now, especially after her and one eye hopped in and the man went missing mysteriously with the horde.

Miyuki watches Tammy and Jennifer hold their guns at the guy as he says that he was some sort of medic. She shakes her head as she looks at the guy, as she keeps Josh close to her, "How can we trust or even believe you, for all we know you could be one of the raiders who killed our friend." She says as she looks at the man. She didn't trust him, not in the slightest. What were the odds that just right after a raider's attack and just escaping from a group of zombies do you just meet a man; her guess, not very likely.

She got angry, and scared. '' I-I'm not friends with ANYONE! Stop thinking that! Ugh! You don't even know how to tell a real person from a raider, do you!'' She fumed, her face getting fed from anger. She quickly held her wrist and tightened the bandaged, stopping the bleeding. She gave the man a harsh look once he said he hated humans. '' Look, I didn't kill anyone. I don't know Who you are, or why your being such a dick, but its probably personal..'' She huffed.

She braced as she saw him rest his finger on the trigger. Well, Now she knew this was surely the end for her. Being shot by a maniac that had personal problems and is very paranoid. Wasn't the way she expected to go down. Soon, She heard the rumbling and groaning behind her. She turned her head, and flinched, the dogs awareness getting instantly raised as its ears fold back and it growls. She quickly pulled up he

r belt for her knifes and held her arrows, stepping back as she faced them, moving back quickly. '' Bunny, Side.'' She said quickly. The dog quickly ran beside her as it calmed, its eyes glaring. She mentally estimated them. '' At least twenty.'' She said silently. She looked to the man. He seemed to be well armed, but not well enough, he couldn't take them all on.

She looked, and scowled at him, moving back quickly to make space between the hideous monsters and her. She looked, thought, and nodded lightly. '' Fine, But NO funny business..'' She hugged, taking out a knife. She looked to him, Waiting for him to attack first, but the dog didn't, It quickly ran and got one by its ankle, pulling it and forcing it to trip as it dragged. It noticed it was too big and ran back to his owner.

( I hope this doesnt end in hatred and instead in love, and couldn't the raiders/bandits have like, a special mark, like a necklace or special face makeup?)

Holliday sighed at the dogs failed attack, it looked like he would be doing most of the work after all. His guns flew and found themselves pointed at the incoming zeds instead of the girl. He then let loose several rounds, with the twin guns sweeping back and forth targeting those that were the closest to his position. He took special care not to cross the barres of the two pistols as it would not only slow him down, but it would throw off his aim. Being able to successfully duel wield was something that only a very select few could do, but thanks to years of practice Holliday was one of them.

Holliday stayed put in his shooting stance as he gunned down the incoming horde. He was already shooting at moving targets, any extra motions would just make the shots harder. As it was he was only able to aim with the faint glint of moonlight shining of off his iron sights. Each time he pulled the trigger one could see the fire shooting out the barrel. His eyes darted back and forth, from one gun to the next. Always finding the target that presented the greatest threat. Between the 12 shots loaded in both of his twin peacemakers, he was able to down 11 of the damn undead, astonishingly being able to only missing once.

Not a second was spared to appreciate his handiwork so far. Before the twelfth shot had been fired, Holliday was already beginning to re-holster his first weapon, which was already empty. As soon as the second gun had fired it's final shot, he was already drawing his big old 57' Remington. By this time the zombies had gained some ground on the two of them.

Holliday immediately began to fire, but as soon as he did he noticed a problem. The wind had died down to noting. The air was stagnant. When the old cap and ball pistol went off, flames spewed out a good 4 feet from the barrel. The difference between the modern, clean burning, smokeless powder and old muzzleloading black powder was like night and day. Where there was flame, there was smoke. It filled the air, blotting out what little bit of visibility had left after just a few shots. Holliday lost sight of all of the zeds around him and was coughing on the stench of the cloud. He started to back up, to try and get his wall against something to assure they couldn't come from that direction. He brought the revolver in and held it firmly with two hands. He began sweeping the area around him, eyes locked on the sights, continuously scanning. He stayed calm, and narrowed his breathing. Finally a figure reached out to grab him from the void. Holliday side stepped and was able to make out the outline of the head. He shoved the gun close to it and pulled the trigger. At point blank he didn't miss.

Staying on high alert, Holliday kept moving slowly to the side. When they came he had to be ready otherwise it would be is end. Finally two zeds closed in. Holliday had to bludgeon one with the 8 inch barrel of his gun to knock it away in order to buy enough time to shoot the second. He made his shot and took the zed out. The zed he knocked out came charging back at him. Holliday cocked the gun and pulled the trigger only to hear a click. The cap hadn't gone off. Whether it hadn't been seated on the nipple right, it was just faulty, or if the cylinder hadn't cycled properly, Holliday couldn't tell. It didn't matter though, as he was out of time. In the heat of the moment Holliday began to bash at the zombies arms and head as it advanced. It was the only thing he could do. Finally the zombie got ahold of Holliday's arm and tried to bite it. If it hadn't of been for Holliday's thick Carhartt jacket, he would have been infected. Holliday just kept swinging and eventually the zed stopped moving.

Holliday tried to do the math in his head quickly. By his count there should be 3 left. Where they were, he didn't have a clue. It would be up to the girl now. He could only pray that she would somehow take out the others otherwise he would probably be screwed. Holliday kept back stepping and tried to unsheathe his kukri machete. At this point anything could happen. He just had to be ready and hope for the best.

She watched him in his bad assery, Tilting her head. She saw him get clouded by his own weapons aftermath, She saw only three standing. She tkok this as her chance. While he was trying to wave the clouding gas out of his face, She ran to a Zed and pulled her knife, throwing one. It hit right in his eye, But she though it wasn't enough. She pulled out an arrow, while the monster stumbled back, She stuck the arrow in its skull, Kicking it down as her dog went for its face and tore it apart, retrieving the knife and following his owner.

She managed to take down the other with two more knifes, throwing both at the same time.It went in the side of its head, making it die almost instantly. The last one. Her dog grabbed its pant leg and tripped it.She ran over to it, and drove her prized knife in its for head, wiggling it around as she made scramble with its brains. She got up, and looked to the man.

She walked to the man, the dog happily following. She blew the cloud from his face, and smiled. '' Still think ima bad person?'' She asked, crossing her arms. '' Now, Here. Stab me.'' She handed him a knife, putting her hands behind her back and closing her eyes. Her appearance was more clear now. Lip peircing, Pale skin, Small scar on her lip, And almost porcelain like face.

@Mercer Sorry, Tis short.

Tammy reached out of the vehicle with her hand still holding the pistol aimed toward him in case he tried something shady. as she grabbed the bottle and gauze stripping she pulled them into the vehicle and stuffed them into her pack. "lets use this shit!" tammy said smirking. in her head anything that was free was worth it. as he walked away she heard a shot echo through the woods , she trembled slightly. "who was that..." she asked. then again, and again, and again. these shots were way to perfect each shot being perfectly timed apart.

she thought for a moment, no one can fire a weapon with such perfect synchronization, no this had to be... "Holliday!" she exclaimed. "that has to be him, his shots are always perfect and well timed!" she said thinking out loud. she withdrew her gun from the window as the man left further and further. She remembered how he handled the horde with his silver gun that had a drum look to it much like the ones cowboys used, quite fitting for him. she looked in the direction it couldn't be far, at least a quarter mile away? a half mile?

she rolled up her window and asked Austin, "head toward the bullets I know its going to be him!" she said. with in the next second the shots seized.it was definitely him she just had a feeling. "lets go!!"

Tiffany was really hoping that the Chaos would soon cease, because the stress that was building up was probably going to send her into labor and she wasn't going to deliver her baby in a tight space...Or alone. Because her Husband disappeared from the face of the Earth after the Zombie Outbreak, Tiffany wanted Miyuki to be by her side for emotional support when the time comes to deliver. Gently caressing her belly, she continued to drive, avoiding the hail of bullets and the zombies in practically every directions. Keeping up with the other survivors was tough, but if she got separated from them, she was most likely never going to see them again. That was what she was afraid of. Opening the Windows to fight posed a big risk for her, so she just focused on driving and getting to safety. She would continue to follow her fellow survivors.

Miyuki looks over to Tammy after she said she heard the gun shots, "Wait, it could be those raiders just as well. We don't know if it is Holliday." she says. She looks back over at Tiffany who was in the jeep, 'If this doesn't stop she is going to go into labor, something we don't need at the moment..' She tries to think of a solution, anything that could help them. "If we need to know for sure if that really is Holliday and not anyone else." She says as she looks over at Austin, Tammy, Jen, and Tori.

The willingness to give up the gauss pads and antibiotics was rather shocking to Jennifer. In this new world, money wasn't the thing that controlled everyone. Instead, it was food, water, medicine, firearms, and ammunition. Money didn't buy you things anymore. Your life solely depended on those factors. Your safety did, as well. And the fact that the man had just given it up was rather suspicious. If he was a good man, than Jennifer is grateful for them, but felt wrong taking them, in a sense. He's by himself, he may need them. She's with a group of people. Something about it just didn't feel right. Perhaps it was the humanity in her still tugging away at what was morally right and morally wrong. Regardless of what she thought, Tammy took the supplies. Jennifer kept her eye on the man as he walked away. Something just didn't feel right about that whole exchange to her.

With the sound of gunfire in the distance, Tammy became excited, believing it to be Holiday.

"You don't know that. Anyone could shoot well timed. I could shoot just like that if I wanted to. All we know is that it is gunfire, and we don't know the source. I agree with Miyuki, it could be raiders or something to that matter. They could be fending off undead, or Holiday. But the point is that we can't just blindly assume that that is Holiday based off of the gunfire. It's a gamble to go that way. Either it is him and we don't have to go wandering about to find him, or we'll be running into raiders, with their bloodlust to kill. Or the third scenario is that whatever it is had drawn in the undead, and there will be a whole hell of a lot there once we get there. I don't know about pursuing this. There are too many 'if's,' and not enough credible evidence. I don't know if it's a good idea to go after them now," Jennifer replied.

"Hey, Austin, you've been rather quiet about this. What do you think?"

@Shimakage Thunder @Lola Shimmer @VirtualNotoriety

Tammy was over shooting herself. They were right but she felt so certain."what bandit could shoot that perfectly though?" Not everyone is trained in firearms!" She got in jwniffers face a little protecting her view but not as harsh as she usually would be mainly because she kind of knew she had a point. " What if It is longshot and your wrong?!" She stated deadpan stare. Her eyes flickered off the sun. She knew there had to be more than just coincidense. As the sun was going down they knew time was not on their side. "Austin say something!!"

@Crono @Jennifer Shotain @Lola Shimmer @KathleneWilliams2121

Miyuki sighs at the stubborn girl. "Any one can shoot like that with training and skill. Holliday isn't the only one who knows how to shoot a gun, just because you can't doesn't mean others can't." Miyuki was getting a little bit annoyed now, "Tammy, we have a pregnant women and a baby with us. We have to make DAMN sure that is Holliday before going out there because if it isn't, we are dead. No questions asked." She says as she looks over at Tammy. She wasn't trying to be rude but she wasn't too sure based on what was happening lately.

@Shimakage Thunder @Lola Shimmer

"What is it with you military types and crashing your copters all over the place." Austin shook his head lightly. More or less he decided to let the women deal with the stranger, which may or may not have been the best idea. Austin growled irritably when everyone started shouting for his opinion. "What are you even talking about with perfectly timed shots? You sound like a crazy person." Austin said turning in his seat to eye Tammy. "Things move and pop up and situations change, if they're perfectly timed then that means someone is doing it on purpose and not likely killing things."

"Holliday ran off to play lone wolf hero the second shit hit the fan, why should we go chasing after him even if that is his shooting?" Turning back to face the steering wheel Austin glanced out his shattered window. Holliday could handle himself, and he'd put himself in whatever situation he was in, not to mention there was no proof it was him. Austin would like nothing more to leave and let Holliday dig his own gave but the fact was that Austin owed him one.

"We split up." Austin spoke suddenly, if they wanted his opinion they were going to get it alright , glancing at whoever was in the passenger seat to see a reaction. "We can't risk preggers, or the kid. Jennifer's barely healed from the surgery yesterday, and we have no clue where the others are." The mans eyes glanced at the rear view mirror to see those who were in the back, "So I'll go check it out. Maybe find Aedan, Tori, or David along the way. You all can take one of the cars and I'll take the other."

To be fair he wouldn't mind a hand, or an extra set of eyes. There was no telling what he'd be walking into, though his only choices were Tammy and Miyuki. Neither really screamed helpful, though not useless either. But if this turned out to be a suicide mission, better just him than get others killed as well. Then there was his throbbing knee...
