Realistic or Modern Zombie Apocalypse

Holliday waved away the food when it was presented to him. “Thank you,” he said, “but no.” Accepting the food would mean that he had a moral obligation to stay with the group. On top of that he would have to share his own supplies down the road as a result. He’d rather just eat the gruel he was used to preparing over his campfire, a campfire that he had neglected for to long by now. He needed to get back to it and put a log on in order to keep it going. “I appreciate the gesture and all but I have my own supplies, it wouldn’t be right for me to take yours. Now I need to go attend to the fire.”

Holliday walked back over to his makes shift campsite and tossed a log on the fire. Then he unstrapped his tactical holster and re-equipped his leather cowboy holsters, as they what he favored most. He turned around and thought about heading back towards the girls when he saw a flash about 200 yards away on the edge of the mills fencing. Holliday instantly knew it was the glint of the suns light flashing off a scope. “TAKE COVER!!!” He screamed towards the girls, but it was too late. The blast from the high powered round echoed over the compound. Skylynn lurched and then fell to the ground. “NOOOO!” he yelled as he ducked behind his truck, using as cover though they were still taking pot shots at the girls. This was his chance.

He threw opened the driver’s side door and retrieved his Winchester rifle. Quickly he depressed the loading gate and the currently loaded rounds flew out. They were too weak to be of use at this range. In the drivers side door however he kept a red box filled with specialty rounds that were designed for big game hunting and he thumbed one after another. It took too long, he could only hope the Tammy and Miyuki were still ok.

Holliday popped his head out from behind his makeshift foxhole only to feel a rush of a bullet as it whizzed by him. This wouldn’t deter him however. Holliday raised his rifle and aimed at his attackers positions. With only iron sights and relatively week rounds, the chances of him making a kill were slim. Still he had the skill, and with just a little luck he might succeed.

For every shot the enemy fired, Holliday replied with two. He wasn’t having much luck making any hits, but he did keep the snipers suppressed, which was throwing off their aim. Finally as he was close to empty he heard a loud yell, and a man rose out bushes clutching his breast. Holliday took another shot putting the man down. He thought he heard another yell, “He killed the commander, what should we do.” Holliday used this moment to quickly reload a few extra rounds, and when he raised his rifle he saw four men retreat. “Damn!” he cursed. There was no way in hell he was going to let them get away.

He hopped in his truck and threw the key into the ignition. Then he gassed it and swung by the girls. Holliday faltered for a moment when he saw Skylynn laying face down dead. He looked straight at Miyuki, “This place isn’t safe anymore! You need to get everybody out within the next half hour. Even if those bastards don’t come back with friends, this place will be crawling with zeds. Take care of Skylynn, I’m going to make those fuckers pay.”

Holliday gunned it and drove straight through the gate. As he passed the spot where the snipers had nested he saw deep marks in the mud from where their vehicles had tore off in a hurry. Holliday swore, this only made his job harder. The good news was however was it looked like they tried to take on the blocked routes that he had attempted to take many days earlier.

After 20 minutes of driving, Holliday heard gunshots and slowed to a stop. He pulled his vehicle to the side of the road and exited it slowly, as not to make a sound. The gunfire must have meant they ran into some cursers, so he didn’t want to draw them in with his truck. Instead of his rifle Holliday opted to bring his double barrel shotgun instead. It would make a mess of them once he got in close as he had planned.

Holliday worked his through the back alleys following the occasional gunshot. Eventually he came to where they had abandoned their car, and found some 9mm ammo on the ground. Now he knew what too look for and increased his pace for a gallop. The gunfire had stopped for the time being. As he was about to cross a street he saw the men he was looking for just a block away. He watched them as they took shelter in a building, a Pizza Hut. Once they entered, Holliday dashed towards it. Not wanting to be seen through the windows, he worked his way around to the back.

When he got there a man stepped out the back door, with a knife in his hand. He wore a faded t-shirt with a picture of the cast of Bob’s burgers. His face was that of terror when he saw Holliday standing just a few feet away, grinning sadistically. The man dropped the knife and fumbled for a small pistol, which he had stuffed in his pants belt. Holliday just uttered the words, “Hello Bob!” and pulled the trigger to the scattergun and ripped apart Bobs gut with buckshot.

Someone inside heard the commotion and was running towards the door, but he was not the only one. Holliday high tailed it to the front of the building as he heard the moans of at least 10 incoming zeds. He should have been fast enough to avoid the herd seeing him, but the guard’s re-enforcement wasn’t so lucky. He heard the sounds of gunfire followed only by his screaming as he was torn apart.

It was then Holliday saw the remaining two men burst from the front exit, followed by a few zeds. Holliday popped one round of the scattergun closest man’s leg. It folded in half and he fell onto the asphalt. Several zeds dropped down on him and finished him off. One however made a B-line towards Holliday. He blasted this zed with the remaining round and it crumpled.

Holliday kept running after the final man, dodging zombies left and right. He was beginning to get very winded, but he heard a yell. After rounding a corner, Holliday saw that the man had twisted his ankle and fallen. A pistol was only a few feet out of reach. Not having time to reload the shotgun, he let it fall and instead reached for the revolver in his holster. The final man, who was really just a boy a year or two Holliday’s senior also made a reach for his gun. Adrenaline coursed through each person’s veins and time slowed. As the kid’s hand touched the gun, a bullet ripped through his fingers. Then a second one went through the elbow of his opposite arm, then his knee. Holliday slammed the gun back down into the holster and then took out the knife that he had stored in his boot. The kid watched helplessly as Holliday approached and put sunk the knife into a wound and twisted. “Alright boy, I want answers. Now! Where are you from! How many of there are you! What supplies do you have! Why did you attack us! Why did you kill my friend!”

The boy just gasped for a moment and Holliday twisted the knife more. “The Hospital!” He yelled, “We came from the Hospital. Im the last of the raiding party. There were about 26 of us before we met you, and 33 before we took it. We exhausted most of our resources clearing that place and became desperate for more. We thought, and still do think that it is going to pay off in the long run, but we needed more supplies. We scouted you out earlier in the day when you came off of the old highway. The leader of our scout group ordered us to attempt a raid a s you didn’t look that well armed. He’s the one who took the shot and killed your friend.”

“Thank you,” Holliday said as he twisted the knife some more. “But you’re telling me that the Hospital is completely clear save for 20 men, who are low on supplies.”

“Y-yes”

“Ammunition and weaponry, as well?”

“We had assuault weapons, but there is only enough ammo for one now. As far as other weapons the raiding party had a quarter of what was left on us.”

“Mm-hmm,” Holliday said interested and what of the meds inside it, still mostly untouched.”

“We’ve barely begun to start consolidating the meds that were left in the initial raiding. I couldn’t tell you what’s on hand though, but there is a lot.” The kid was now quivering, blood loss finally getting to him. Behind the two of them, Holliday heard the murmuring of approaching zeds. He withdrew his knife from the boy and stood up to leave. After picking up not only his shot gun, but the kid’s pistol as well, he heard the boy yell “Please, don’t let them get me.”

Holliday sighed and shook his head. “You may be just a dumb kid, but you’re older than me. That woman whom you and your buddies killed had just given birth less than a week ago. That baby will grow up without any family in this world. I have no sympathy for you, and if I had the time I cause you much more pain.” With that, Holliday turned and left. Behind him the kid screamed, as he became a happy meal.

After what seemed like forever, Holliday reached his truck. He reached for the door handle, but noticed his hands were covered in blood. In an attempt to clean it off, hew brushed his hands on his pants. Then he entered the vehicle and sat down for a moment not knowing what his next move should be. They would probably already have evacuated by now, but he had to find them. Though Skylynn was now dead, this horrible incident led to some decent news. The hospital was now a viable option for retrieving meds for Jennifer, and a large amount at that. Holliday just started diving, hoping that he may eventually run into them by sheer luck. After a while he just pulled over, and closed his eyes to take a nap. He needed his sleep, even though it would be plagued by nightmares of the actions he had just taken.

"SKYLYNN" Mikyuki yells as she got down when Holliday said something, tackling Tammy to the ground. She got up once the bandits left and Mercer told her to get very one out in half an hour. Miyuki ran over to Skylynn, tears in her eyes as she sees that she is dead. Miyuki then sees that Skylynn protected the baby by curling up as she sees the crying child in her arms, "Shh, it's ok." She says as she picks up the baby and looks over at Tammy, "We need to warn the others now." she says as she gets up and sighs. She didn't want to leave Skylynn's body but she didn't believe she had a choice. They needed to pack up, make a plan and get out. She runs over to the mill seeing Austin and Tori on the roof still, "We need to leave." She calls out to them while running up to the mill.

The news of Skylynn's death struck a severe blow to Tiffany. When they started packing and getting ready to leave, Tiffany still did the same thing. She could only hope that the Jeep she had was bulletproof. Sadly, they were forced to abandon the Skylynn's body and it really pained her that they could not give her a proper burial. She started the ignition, switched the car into drive and hit the gas pedal in order to go find the rest of the group. Lastly, Tiffany, promised herself that she would take good care of Josh, now that both of his parents were now in a better place...

"I'm sorry if my mood or attitude isn't to your liking." Austin told Tori with a sarcastic tone, though it still bugged him nobody was keeping watch but hey it wasn't his life they'd risked. Tori proceeded to express that she was happy for their return and his in particular and the man shrugged, though at her question he found himself rubbing at his forehead. "What kind of question is that? Yeah, we had to deal with some zed's, in the end that's what drove us back."

Austin had turned to say something when the shout from downstream came, the man jumped to his feet as eyes searched to find out what was happening. Then came the shot that made Austin flinch downwards just a little, eyes trying to find where it came from for just a moment only to see Skylynn drop. "Get down, now!" He ordered Tori as he moved closer to the edge as more shots rang out and instead of taking the slow and easy way down he decided to take the drop rather than risk taking a bullet. Landing he attempted a little tuck and roll though the twinge that came from his knee prevented that, Austin flinched and was forced to drop his good knee. With a light grunt he pushed himself back to stand, it was clear that Holliday was returning fire at this point. Though as Austin moved quickly around the corner of the mill's entrance to take cover behind the wall things had gone silent.

Peeking he watched as Holliday's truck drove to the girls, which he'd expected the teen to bring them back to the mill in it. Instead he drove off and left them, much to Austin's surprise and annoyance. "The hell is he doing!?" Austin growled, more frustrated than anything. He couldn't tell if the silence and lack of shots meant their attackers had left, been killed, or were waiting for easy shots.

The crying of a baby far off wasn't helping and eventually Austin threw caution to the wind, "Screw it!" Though before he could rush out and make a run for the others location, there came Miyuki sprinting towards them out in the open and Austin couldn't help but think of what a fool she was, especially with Josh in her arms. "Are you crazy! Why didn't you wait! And where the hell did Holliday go?" Though it was nice to see that the baby was alive.

The first thing from the girls mouth was that they had to leave and Austin rolled his eyes, "Yeah, no shit." Austin took a quick glance at the river just to make sure he couldn't see anyone. "I'll get one of the cars pulled up to the door, you all just grab everything you can from inside!"

Austin moved quickly down the path, his knee twinging with each step. Wasting no time he turned the vehicle around and backed up to the front door of the mill to allow easy access with a less likely chance of getting shot.

Miyuki goes inside the mill and gathers her bow and arrows and swing them over, still holding Josh. She didn't let Austin's comment bother her as she tells tries to gather up everything she could. She had tears in her eyes for Skylynn but she needed to get out and keep Josh safe. 'I can't believe I just stood there. Why did I forget my arrows......what if....' She shakes her head as she goes over to the others to see if they needed help with anything.

The girl was putting her bolt and carrier back into place as she heard a crack, which sounded like a bullet whizzing by from a shot nearby, and then scream, followed by more shots. Fearing she needed to ready her weapon as soon as possible, she slipped the bolt and carrier into place, put the charging handle in, slid the stock on, and put the lower receiver into place, snapping the pins where they needed to be. With a quick functionality check, Jennifer grabbed her backpack and a magazine, promptly sliding it into the magazine well, and readying the gun, flipping the selector switch to "fire".

She is hot, and safety's off, she thought to herself, quoting her father when he had her start to shoot.

Jennifer made her way towards the door, staying low, hoping to avoid any potential fire that came her way. She heard more shots, but they seemed to be closer. She couldn't determine if they were enemies approaching them, or someone was returning fire. Either way, she stayed low, fearing that she might be a target. She had already been in one shootout a day ago. She can handle herself well. However, it wasn't until yesterday had she actually ended a human's life. The same situation might happen again.

The shots eventually ended, and then a truck started. It was the Kid with the truck. He heard him stop and say something, though she couldn't quite understand him. And then it sounded like his truck sped off. Jennifer peeked her head out to check to see if the coast was clear. It was. She got up, and walked out of the mill. She looked around the surrounding area, and her eyes met a sight she was hoping not to see.

Doc. Doc lying dead.

The sight of that made Jennifer shocked, heartbroken. She hadn't known Doc enough, but she helped fix her up. And she was kind. Jennifer wasn't expecting this. But she could mourn later. She had to figure out what's going on.

"What the fuck's going on," called out Jennifer, hoping someone would hear her and explain the situation.

It was all a blur. Tammy was pushed down to the floor from miyuki the food went all over the ground. Fucking waste. She had worse problems a gunshot went off and tammy heard a body collapse. As she looked up she saw a corpse. Not a corpser. A corpse of a woman, their doctor that she donated the baby formula to,skyly, fell to the earth lifeless. The bullet entered her head and blood trickled from the body like a water hose not turned all the way off.

"Holy fuck..." Tammys mind scattered like scrabble and she reached for her pistol that clunked to the ground. She stood up while miyuki ran off. Tammys mind wandered. She felt as if the whole world started to slow down before here. Ears rang as she became dizzy. She was entering shock. 'Fucking a what is happening in can't move.' She thought as everything spun around her.

Minutes felt like hours as she stood there her mind wandered. 'What would happen if that was her. What if she was shot or someone like longshot or one eye. She saw lights flashing.

Her eyes blurred for a while and her mind raced. 'I have to fight this off I can't let this happen here' Tammy fought the internal battle controlling her breath her eyes almost could not register what happened and it sent her mind into shock. She never watch someone get murdered in front of her. Apart from the zombie outbreak response squad she only saw one guy who was barely alive . The other deaths never felt as real as this did. 'What could I have done.' She couldn't fire a gun, cover someone,barely protect her self,she realized surviving this long with so little has solely been the strong desire to stay alive. She was meant for more than this. More than herself. Her selfishness kept her on the road as long as it did. No survival skills all was learned these past few months. She wasn't shit.

......her vision cleared to the corpse of skylyn. "I'm not shit." She muttered she took a step wobbly. And firmed her grip flexed and clinched her teeth. "I'll become stronger to make sure this never happens again!" Her leap moved her sprinting toward cover to the mill. She barged into her "room" cleaning up all her stuff opening the secret drawer she kept her favorites. Packing her backpack she counted all her food stocks, her water still intact,she chocolate bar.....a secret score. As she departed the room her friend longshot voice rang. 'Treat every gun as if it's loaded," She smiled and slipped her clip in jogging down the stairs, as she pulled the lever back she felt the pistol shift the fresh 9 millimeter bullet in. "Just as longshot said." She reunited with jennifer (@Mercer @Shimakage Thunder

A reply to her question met her ear from side. She turned around and was greeted by Tammy, who seemed to be just as confused about the situation as she was herself.

"I have no fucking clue what's going on. I was sitting inside, cleaning my weapon, when all of the sudden, all hell broke loose. And I have no idea where the baby is," she replied to Tammy.

Miyuki ran past Jennifer, hurrying inside, and Austin jumped in a car, and pulled up to the mill. She assumed this meant they were leaving, and they were grabbing what they could.

"Tammy, quick, go inside and get whatever you can. I think we're leaving," she said to Tammy, before she herself ran inside and collected her things.

Her backpack was open, and some contents of it were scattered around where she slept. The swiftly grabbed everything, shoved it in her backpack, closed it, and swung the straps over her shoulders.

Still confused about the situation, Jennifer ran over to Miyuki.

"What are we doing? Are we putting whatever we can in Austin's car and getting out of here," she asked quickly as she approached her.

@KathleneWilliams2121 @tammynorthland

Tammy had her crowbar in her back attached to a strap as well as her pistol in hand. The sounds of the gunshots and screams definitely caused unwanted attention. She glanced behind her south where they were shooting and saw a flock of corpsers moving up. Not only were we getting shot at but we had undead on the way. Tammy roared with rage her hands shaking with the adrenaline that pumped through her body. Jennifer was right beside her along with Austin lurking close by the group. The others were either missing, dead, or grabbing equipment to get away in. Having been on foot she had no worries about finding a seat in a rig.

Tammy lunged forward with a quick jog toward the corpsers, jennifer behind her.

As ground between both her and the corpsers were being covered she stopped and took off her pack wielding her bar. She learned to pick off the ones further away first. In close quarter they would be the easiest then separate the rest. A woman corpser about 5 yards ahead of the rest was first up. Her eye was missing and her neck had a open wound already, a weak point. Tammy held the crowbar back screamed and unleashed a hooked end baseball style swing into her neck causing a Crack in her spinal collumn. As she fell she spun counterclockwise to avoid her fall. Another was already in position. Her mommentum allowed her enough speed and we'll enough timing to slash the hook square into the skull. And she begun to lever it out creating a mess much like when someone dropped a watermelon onto the floor. That what it looked much like.

The time it took her to undo the bar out of the said "watermelon" of a skull there was a corpser right behind her. Her mind raced...

'Know what lies behind your target,' his voice rang in her ears. She smiled as if she was fucking insane. She turned around, pulling out her pistol, and stuffed it into the corpsers mouth as it clawed at her. She closed her eyes.

' BANG' the shot rang her ears and the corpser that had his mouth full and on directly behind fell to the soil.

She stood up and did a couple boxing style leaps back to create more distance allowing herself some time to recoup and gain ground to fight on again.

@Jennifer Shotain @Crono

Tori was still awkwardly looking around herself after her rare moment of niceness and trying to decide on how to regain her sarcastic self when the first shot rang out, She almost jumped out of her skin her eyes going wider and she automatically whirled toward the noise but when another soon followed and she already pressing herself close to the roof of the mill before Austin advised her too. With her belly placed against the cold surface of the roof her very chin grazing against is she pulled herself so close to t she could see directly down below. A whoosh of breath escaped the blondes lungs when she saw the body laying down there..the one that a mere day ago had been a living breathing person, Hell a mother even. Tori's stomach churned uneasily she had seen plenty of dead bodies but none of anyone she had actually exchanged words with, it just felt different. It wasn't until these thoughts had raced through her head that she actually recalled the child...where was the child..but when someone soon enough ran forward to get it she let out a breath of relief. After that it was like someone had hit fast forward on them or something. Everyone seemed to go into hyper drive, Suddenly they were exchanging fire back and forth, Tori found herself alone on the roof, Holliday had taken off and Tammy and Jen were fighting of dead beats. "Shit".

Tori realized she wasn't being a whole lot of use up here and decided it was time to kick her ass into action after all she could hide up here to the cows came home but neither her pride, common sense nor conscience would let her. Afew moments later she had made her way down and dropped at the back of the mill making her way inside She was suddenly very glad she had kept her bag on her back but made her way through grabbing anything if use she could shove into anyways..did they have any baby shit? Fuck she didn't know and although it was kinda rude to go through a dead woman's stuff she did anyways and gathered whatever she had room to carry for josh. Her feet hammered against the wooden floors as she rushed through the building, Tori allowed herself only a second to stop at the room she had put so much effort into for them all and she glanced in at it. "Damn sad waste of time" she muttered to herself but quickly moved on. No point in dwelling now..she was soon out the front door and dug around in her bag for one of the knives she had previously found, She quickly swung her bag onto her back again and it knocked gently into the shotgun, She really needed to learn that asap. "We needa move! i grabbed what i could!!" She shouted to the others as they held of walkers. She decided the least she could do was grab one of the vehicles and bring it closer, It looked like that was Austins plan too but they mat as well have two of them. It could come in useful, She jumped into the drivers side of one and chucked her bag in at her feet, A quick twist and the engine roared to life "Come on! now is time for running, save the fighting for later!"

Miyuki swings the quiver over her shoulder and held the child in both of her arms as she turns to Jennifer, "Bandits found the mill and killed Skylynn. Holliday went after them and we need to leave." She says as she looks around and makes sure that she got everything. She heard Tori grabbed a lot of items for Josh as she looks out the window and sees some of the dead outside, "Great." she says as she looks over and sees that Tori got herself into one of the cars with Austin. "Cover me." she says over to Tammy and Tiff as she carried Josh. She shakes her head as she couldn't believe what she was about to do. After seeing a break in the zombies, Miyuki made a run for it and jump into the back of the vehicle with Tori and Austin. She puts Josh down on the seat, keeping him close to her as she pulls out her bow and arrows and started to shoot the zombies so Tammy and Jen get though. She looks around as she shoots, "Guys, where's Tiff?" She asks as she looks around for the soon to be mother.

There was no time left to waste, so Tiffany gunned it on her Jeep and pulled up behind the vehicle that was being driven by Austin. "I'm right here guys! Now let's get going before we all get killed." She yelled as she rolled the window down.

@KathleneWilliams2121

"Fuck," exclaimed Jennifer. "Time to move, time to move," she said, running out of the mill and seeing Tammy fighting off some undead. They were in her way, and Tammy's. It was time to get in combat mode.

Pulling her gun up and aiming on the 45 degree rail. The dot of the RMR found its way on the heads of the undead. With a squeeze of the trigger, the firearm went off, the suppressor keeping the shots in safe decimals that it wouldn't cause hearing loss, which hearing itself is vital to the world now. The gun kicked back, just as she had been used to. The 7.62x51 round shredding the head of the undead it hit. She then moved on to the next target, and started a surgical neutralization of the targets she could get. She tried to keep her distance, as she wasn't the best at hand-to-hand combat, and her rifle surely wasn't meant for it either.

With each pull of the trigger, she brought down a undead bastard. Until-click. Jennifer slipped her rifle to the side and looked at the ejection port. It was a stove pipe. Pulling the charging handle back, the casing fell out of the gun, and letting it go forward, it picked up another round. This made the undead have a break at her. One lunged at her, and she kicked it backwards. As it toppled over, it hit a couple behind it. She then pulled her gun up and shot them in the head. On the last one, the bolt locked open.

Empty magazine. Shit.

The girl didn't have time to switch her mags, as she stupidly left them in her backpack. She put the rifle over her shoulder, and took out her knife. Suddenly, an arrow impacted the one that was a foot away from her and closing.

Thank god for Miyuki.

"Tammy, c'mon, let's make a break for Austin's car," she called out to Tammy, who was dealing with the undead herself. Jennifer ran over to try and clear a path for her, as she was getting swarmed. She stuck her knife in one approaching her. It left an opening for Tammy.

"Let's go," she yelled to her, turning towards an undead closing on her, then turning towards the truck.

@tammynorthland @KathleneWilliams2121 @Crono @Lola Shimmer

Undead fell closest to her jennifer posted up next to her as tammy grinned. "Glad to see you again." She lunged forward using the crowbar like a spear around her the closest corpsers collapsed to gunfire. She impaled the eye of a once male corpser. It collapsed as she withdrew the bar of blackened steel. A twisting motion like a 360 degree spin knocked the next one off balance and the bullet shattered it's skull and it fell.

"Thanks guys!" She would never back down. They all turned and ran she passed the makeshift camp that holliday set up. She stopped.

'He probably will need this' Tammy thought.... acting quick she looked around there was another flock of corpsers approaching from the western road. As well as another gunshot that was fired it hit the flock,she couldn't see if one fell. Hastily she began to pull apart the campsite. She yanked out the sleeping bag and tied it to her pack. His tent was unknown how to disassemble so instead she pulled out the rods and folded them and wadded up the tent. In about 2 minutes the bodies were yards away.

She was getting yelled at and hopped in the car with austin,miyuki. And jennifer.

@Crono @Jennifer Shotain @KathleneWilliams2121

"Good to see you too, now let's haul ass," Jennifer said, before she darted to the car.

Thank god I'm quick, and have good cardio, she thought to herself.

With undead trailing behind her and Tammy, they bolted to the car and got in."

"We got everything we could, everyone's in, now let's get the fuck out of here," Jennifer said to Austin, after closing the door, and the undead flocking on the tail of the car.

@Shimakage Thunder

When Tammy and Jennifer had been cut off, Austin had started to leave the car in an attempt to help but the twinge in his knee prevented him from taking it any further. And yet Jennifer was out there wounded being more useful than him, a growl escaped the mans throat before shoving himself back in the car. Of course instead of making a break for them Tammy was going for the campsite, any of that stuff was replaceable and he cursed her for being foolish.

The dead were upon them so he couldn't wait for anyone else, whoever was in was in and whoever wasn't...he wished them luck. Austin put his foot on the pedal, driving down the path while keeping the river bank in his peripheral hoping that there wouldn't be anymore surprises as they escaped. The group never spoke of any kind of rendezvous point, Holliday was missing, dead, or abandoned them.

Just as they got to the road he spotted One-Eye fending off a large group of undead on their left. Shots were fired from that direction and suddenly tiny shards of glass flew into the car, chunks scattering into his face as the driver window busted. This caused Austin to jerk the wheel hard to the right, trying to drive the opposite direction as fast as possible and glancing off a parked possibly broken but most likely run out of gas truck that sat in the road. As they drove away he kept peeking into the rear view mirror to check for any of the others.

"Shit!" Austin cried out angrily and suddenly, hitting his hands against the steering wheel out of frustration.

Miyuki picked up Josh as Austin floored it as they took off. She stays over the child, keeping him safe as she hears the window brake, sending shards into Austin's face as he jerked the wheel to the right hard sending Miyuki right into the window, hitting her head hard. She groans as she looks down at Josh, happy he was ok. She feels her head and felt dampness. Pulling away and looking down at her hand, she saw blood from her hair. Sighing she wipes the blood on her leg as she hears Austin cuss as she looks up at him as well as everyone, "Is everyone ok, well....ok as we can be at this moment?" she asks, not sure of what to say or where to even go.

@Shimakage Thunder

When Austin floored it, Tiffany did too, wanting to stay close behind with the group and not wanting to get separated from them. Chances of her surviving alone were extremely slim. It scared her that she was more likely to be killed by Bandits then Zombies. If the roads weren't so crowded with abandoned cars and corpses, then Tiffany would drive side by side with Austin. She was still saddened by Skylynn's death, but resolved to continue on and raise Josh, because she was confident that was what Skylynn would have wanted. She hoped soon that they would find a safe spot to rest, mainly because her contractions were starting to act up...AND she was tired. However, she wasn't due for the next month or so and is extremely afraid of premature labor. Without the Medical Aid that they had access to before the Apocalypse, it made her much more scared despite knowing how to deliver a baby.

Tammy sat in silence in the car as Austin drove. She started to ponder where Longshot went and more importantly what he was doing. She started to worry a little it as he was alone. although extremely skilled in gunplay, What if he was disarmed? Or a shot managed to hit him...She shook off the thoughts of those options and assumed the best case scenario for him and hoped he did not return to camp. Instead Tammy pulled her gun out from her backpack and begun to hold it steady. To be honest she was not sure if it was on safety or not. so she did what she watched Longshot do. She pressed the button dropped the clip and pulled back the pin to release the live round she stuffed both into her pocket a she did not know how to reload but that's no ones business.

Tammy begun to relive the first corpse she murdered in her head. the time she pushed it down stairs of the apartments she once lived in and jumped the stairs curbstomping its skull. she remembered the face of the body shattering and its jaw separating. she knew that after that killing would never be an issue to her. Today she watched someone she helped die. she did not want to relive that. The jeep behind stayed close and they continued to drive.

Nikole dragged her feet as she forced herself to walk. She has been walking for days,with only a small side of water and bread. at least she had her young dog to keep her company. Without her little sucker, she shouldn't be able to think. luckily, she had him. She looked down at the dog as it looked back, its eyes shining with an interesting color. She smiled, chuckling as she leaned down to pet it. She was on the road to the hospital, thinking there was most likely something worth while there.

She looked down at her wrist, it was loosely bandaged due to a recent accident. she sighed, and began to tighten it the best she could, trying to get the slut to join once again without ripping it more. Before she could stop, She heard her dog barking and growling. She looked, and saw a car. It seemed slightly dented, but it looked like it was just recently on. She waved her hand at the dog and put her finger to her lip, quickly crouching beside a rubbish bin and finishing her bandaging, looking at the car.

The dog followed behind and peeked, sniffing the air with concern. '' Someones in there..'' She said with a silent tone, her voice sweet but deadly. '' Go check it out, boy.'' She pointed. The dog slowly walked by, its head low, it sniffed the floor, before reaching the back of the car. It looked, and barked, quickly running back cowering under Nikoles safety. She back up, and pulled out a mirror, using it to look behind her without being seen. She held her breath and hoped for the best.

It was impossible for Holliday to catch any shut eye, his mind kept replaying all the events in his head. The sight of each man falling, the sounds that they made as they died. Strangely that wasn't what disturbed him so. No, their deaths didn't phase him at all. It was Skylynn who haunted his dream. He hadn't been able to save her. Deep down inside he knew that all of his actions were too little, too late. It was just as it had been months before when the last person he loved was killed. Humans were cruel, and Holliday was more disgusted with them than he was with the Zeds. In the end the things that had taken everything he cared for were men. He had promised himself back then that he wouldn't make any more attachments, but why, why did he actually care for Skylynn and the others? He should just leave them while he has the chance and leave them to deal with their own issues. But why didn't he?

Holliday shifted when he heard the sound of a dog. It barked and came close to investigate, what was strange was that it still had a collar. The owner had to be somewhere nearby. Damn it he thought that sonovabitch lied to me. Alright you've been in tighter spots before, we just got to find out what this guy has got planned. Holliday stayed dead still, keeping up the facade that he was asleep. He had left his sunglasses on to help cut out the remaining light of the day when he had taken his nap, now they were serving to hide the fact that his eyes were fully aware and taking everything in.

The dog turned and trotted back to wherever it's master lurked. This was his chance. His hand slowly reached down and unholstered his sixgun in a way that only his arm moved and nothing else. Holliday looked around waiting for anything to happen and noticed a small glint of light off of a mirror. Ok, he thought so whoever this guy is, he's not a complete dunce. But I doubt he has a fire arm as he would have tried to use it by now. Alright, lets gamble on that.

In one swift motion Holliday threw the door of his Dodge open and swung out. He quickly leveled his gun, lined up the sights, and shattered the mirror with a bullet. "Come on out! Now! And tell that dog of yours to heel or he'll get a bullet. I also recommend you move like molasses, else you'll get a bullet too. You're friends already tried their luck and lost, plus you're holding a broken mirror. So don't get any big ideas."

@Dibbydoo

She held her bbreath as she saw him pull out the gun and aim, and before she expected it, she dropped the mirror, it being shattered by not the drop, but by the bullet. The vibration wrapped her wrist and her wound, making her whine. She gulped as she heard the man yell out, the scary voice intimidated her. She held her wrist as it began to bleed, slowly getting up. She walked out, and slowly held her hands out. She raised an eyebrow when she heard 'friends', But said nothing about it.

Her breathing slowly got quicker as she eyed the man, her white, with some red, hair fluttered with the wind, along with her clothes. Her dog, clearly a young one, stood beside her and sat, seeming to be calm, not knowing what this was. He play fully yapped, not seeing danger in this, he stumbled and jumped, running toward the man happily, his tongue dangling out.

Nikole frowned and face palmed, holding her breath as she tensed up. This wasn't the first time this dog thought it was play time while getting mugged or anything. She really had to teach him, But, she was a puppy, so what was she gonna say? She tensed, and waited for the shot to be fired. The dog happily yapped, its head moving about happily.

Holliday gritted his teeth in annoyance, it was darn puppy. He used to find them cute, now it was a if not a complication to the whole scenario. He kept the gun aimed at the woman, figuring that if the dog did try something he could just kick it away. As a precaution he drew his second revolver, keeping it low and at the ready.

Through the sights of the gun he took a good look at the woman in front of him. She was young, that much was obvious, but what age he couldn't tell. If he had to guess he might say 16. Her hair was unique in that it was silver and red making her stand out like a sore thumb. Aside from a few throwing knives she didn't appear to have any real weapons. All in all, she didn't seem like a threat. Still there was the chance she was some sort of decoy.

"Alright, drop the knives and do it slow. There of no use to you at the moment anyhow. Ever been told that you shouldn't bring a knife to a gunfight, try something and Ill show you why." Holliday watched to see what she would do. His expression was cool and calm. He had the upper hand and he knew it. If there was someone else waiting to take him out they'd be down a companion before they could make their move. "Your name, what is it. And what business do you have with me."

@Dibbydoo

The puppy sat in front of him, and waited happily, it's tongue lolling out as it waited. She reached for her knife belt and unhooked it, slowly putting it down, soon taking off any other knifes, and some arrows. She slwoly held her hands back up and looked at him, her fists clinching slowly. She listened to the questions and was silent as she looked at him, slowly replying with a soft and hard to hear voice, but she spoke loud enoguh so it was audible. " Nikole.. And I was just going to the hospital.."

She said, fear clear in her voice. Her hair blew more, and blood began to run down her arm heavily, passing the bandages as they were fully soaked and coudlnt let any more blood in. She was clearly injured and loosing blood fast. " Please, just let me get through to the hospital.. I'm a medic and I need that stuff to live.." She said, her skin some how getting more pale. From afar, he could see her eyes and how they were coloured. Pale, with dark rimming around them. Her bags were deep and dark, she hasn't slept for days. She looked like her body was about to give in.
