Fandom Zoids - Bio War

Aarius Germaine

Diplo Base / Hangar 1

Aarius's smirk seemed to linger as the first explosion caused a tremor to run through the ground. His right eye squinted, leaving him in a half-pop-eye expression. He watched with what seemed like glee as everyone within the base started to panic. He was already facing the entrance and placed his thumb and index finger into his mouth, whistling extremely loud. His Zoid let out a chatter, though it was drowned out by the sirens, and 'hopped' over to him after several of the other droids had exited. He looked to the lieutenant that had got into his Dibison, the grin back on his face as he hopped back up into the top of his droid's 'head'.

As the Dibison was passing him, the Lieutenant would see quite a bizarre sight. Aarius was slowly sitting down and pulling the controls casually over his body. And just before the cock-pit closed, his face was visible for a split second with all of his teeth displayed out to the world. His right eye was seemingly 'winked' closed. The bridge of his nose was wrinkled and his left eye seemed to 'twinkle' as if it was watering up due to pure joy. The face only a psychopath would love, no doubt.

Guts_slasher_smile_7502.jpg

After quite a few others made their way out of the base, the scorpion twisted its body as it propelled itself forwards and out of the hanger's entrance. The tail swatted from left to right, slashing the side of the entrance as it skittered towards its top speed. And with a loud "YAAAAAAAAH!!!" all four rocket boosters fired, causing it to lurch forwards at a great speed. It's feet tapped along the ground at a slower rate before finally placing all eight leg-spikes on the ground. The two front boosters snapped downwards as it leaped into the air, catapaulting itself over the Dibison and even over the Gojolus with plenty of room to spare. The 320 ton war machine plummeted to the ground at an angle with its claws held forwards as it literally 'dove' into the dry earth and swam through the sand.

Vienna Louis

Hangar 1 -> Hangar 2

At first, Vienna followed the orders given to her, but as soon as Ms. Monet decided she needed no help, Vienna got the hell away from her, wanting to rant on the way to Falco. What the hell are these dumbasses thinking? How in the hell are they going to assault an entire base through the front fucking line? It was stupid enough to give Vienna a near permanent scowl, no sane tactician would pull something so dangerous and stupid.

Since she was already in her flight suit, it was a quick and simple trip to Falco, who was ready for her. "Let's get them, buddy." She said, taking off just as the anti-air shield was being set up. she managed to avoid it completely, finding herself outside of the base just after some of the first responders.

"Central, this is Shadow-Two, takeoff successful, prepping for first run. Am I clear for a strike?"
She asked, wanting permission to begin her anti-air attacks. She normally wouldn't need permission, but she wanted to know if C3 was there.

"Shadow-Two, you owe me a date after this. Permission granted." Central-Three responded, her usual joking manner very obvious despite the chaos. Vienna smiled after hearing her voice, glad to know she was okay.

"You know it. S2 out." Vienna replied as she readied her ranged weapons. Their fliers wouldn't see it coming.

Alcesi A. Elkin

Personal Office->Hangar

The almost black sheen that covered the hole in his mug rippled as his jostled movements threatened to send it soaring from the container. Alcesi resisted, a rare event, the smell that was carried by the steam, the darned misty fog tickling his nose with the promise of tasteful retreat, however Alcesi had much more important things on his mind, and he tried to make it as one track as possible so as to not veer off course. His movements down the hallway were speedy, but controlled, his desire being to get there quickly, but no goal in the world would make him throw away his coffee and waste any of it. The taps of his feet echoing out as he went down the stairs that lead to the Hangar, or at least closer to the hangar, Alcesi went over what he needed to do. He didn't know the particulars of how many enemies the base was about be assualted with, however, with how everything seemed to be pointing to, the only conclusion was that there was plenty, an amount that made him very worried for obvious reasons.

There would be many fights, and many skirmishes from afar and close up, so he would need to get through the battles relatively unscathed and unseen as to not get into a fight he was not mentally or physically ready for. Coming from the stairs out into a long hallway, Alcesi stared straight ahead as his muscle memory took hold and lead him down the left corridor, towards the Hangar. As he passed by each door, the sound of the alarm rang loudly, continuing to alert everyone to the presence of the enemy and doing a grand job at making sure no one slacked. No one was going to underestimate the danger of the base being destroyed if a really loud alarm was being played. Making no movement to actually check and see if there was anyone still lagging behind, Alcesi did easily dodge a very hurried young man as he went towards Alcesi's eventual destination, his military uniform and tags showing him to be a new recruit, but one that Alcesi had obviously not gotten to introduce or greet yet.

Allowing himself to take a small sip of the coffee in his hand, not willing to hold in his urge any longer, Alcesi bathed in the deliciousness that came with the hot liquid, and felt invigorated, not only in body, but in mind as well. He wouldn't fool himself into thinking that he wouldn't die, so if he was going to go down in flames, he would be going down with some great tasting brew. Pushing the metal door of the Hangar, it easily turned on its hinges as he applied enough force, and entered the Hangar. It was a kind of controlled chaos as everyone got into there Zoids, turning their battle systems on, speaking to them for comfort and confidence, and others simply jumping in and taking off once they got the chance. This was an unexpected emergency, and there were just too many fresh recruits and new mercenaries to perform any convoluted military tactic that might increase their chances of survival. They would be relying on their size, and hope that the Bio-Zoids, the devilish perversions, would be overcome by the ruthlessness shown by some of the mercenaries in the place.

Looking around, Alcesi's face was stoically calm as he walked towards the back of the Hangar, where many of the decommissioned or unused Zoids took up space. Alcesi had preferred to have his Zoid here, mostly because of his Zoid's tendency to enjoy solitary places, and for the other reason of Alcesi not wanting to take up any space for active soldiers. Alcesi made it back to the back with no problems, and finally laid his eyes on the beauty that was his Zoid. As if it had noticed his presence, which it had through their intense connection, the majestic and calm Moose Zoid rose its head from the resting position it had taken. It was obviously confused, Alcesi's visits usually limited to the Sundays that he would bring all of his daily paperwork and do it while in the company with his old friend. Smiling with warmth, Alcesi walked up to his friend and lifted his hand, his palm facing upwards. The Zoid took softened steps towards its rider, and let Alcesi's palms stroke the tip of the giant croon of its neck, Alcesi's fingers only managing to rub the slightest bit.

Alcesi received a feeling of affection and determination from his Zoid as his action provided all he needed to know for the plan. It was always ready for the call of its master, and just like Alcesi, it would do all it could for him. Letting its body rest, the Lanstag let its legs bend and fall, allowing to lay its head even lower for Alcesi to get in with much greater ease. Alcesi smiled as he began to the slow task of getting into the giant beast that had been his companion for so many years. Underneath him, the Lanstag waited silently and patiently for its master to get situated correctly.

Kiara

Northeastern Gate

She sighed having to deal with this at thus time. She pulled up speed to lead the other voids. Before her com with Viktor came on privatly. After hearing what he said her zoid halted. And she commanded the soldier's back to the front line. "Vik hurry it up, or else. And i usually support fire." She said roughly loud.

Waiting for what felt like forever Viktor finally got there. She gasped at his voids gun. "Well i guess i could run in a little more, and try out these new close range guns." She waited for a response before. She started off towards the coordinates. After running at a speed they finally got there. Seeing some battle going on she flanked near the right. Her zoid started up the sound of the machine gun spinning motor. Quickly letting out many bullets at amazing speeds. Taking out a few before cool down. Quickly a bio raptor ran at her.

Jacob Saunders

Battlefield

As he was departing the hanger, he saw something slightly disconcerting. he couldn't shake the feeling he saw a look of pure sadistic joy wipe across Aarius' face. It was that of a malignant Psychopath. Then a bit after the Death stinger moved he heard a loud roar. Not of a zoid, but rather of a Zoid's engines. He looked up screaming "WHAT THE-?" in enough time to see the Death stinger fly over him and Moloch, and clear the Gojalus to boot. Then after that fly downwards and burrow into the ground. Jacob shook his head, "Who the hell did we hire...did we do no psychological screening?" Still once again, this was not the time. there was a battle going on, and currently, the psychopath in question was on their side.

The dibison rumbled onwards, 130km/h was not particularly fast for a zoid. But the armor and weaponry on Moloch readily made up for it. He thumbed his comm, "This is second Lieutenant Jacob Saunders. Alright ladies and gentlemen, lock and load. we got 50 enemies heading towards us, got one direction for you, avoid the claws and go crazy, with these guys...no kill like over kill, double and triple tap em.' Now with that out of the way report in, get your positions synced. support each-other where you can, call in if you want an artillery barrage. Moloch is more than willing to bring down the hammer."

Viktor Isayev

Leaving the Northeast Gate > Attacking the Enemy's Flank (North of Diplo Base)

Viktor felt a sarcastic quip forming on the tip of his tongue at Kiara's initial response. A standard Hellcat Zoid was built around stealth missions. While the Captain may have done some modifications of her own the mercenary found it almost laughable that the panther Zoid could out shoot his Gun Sniper at range. With Diplo Base in a frantic frenzy though he just bit his tongue to stop himself from saying something unproductive, and returned his attention to the task at hand. "Understood," answered the man simply after Kiara agreed to let him do what he did best as a hired gun. His first priority was to get his relatively small Zoid out of the mad rush leaving the base. There were a lot of larger Zoids running about, after all.

One in particular even made him arch a brow in vague surprise. As he and Kiara left the base from the Northeast Gate a large black scorpion of all Zoids flew over the wall propelled by four powerful boosters. The Longshots merc was half expecting it to hurt itself landing face first into the desert, but instead it dove into the sand with relative grace and kept on going. The man let out a low whistle in mild admiration of the sight. He would have to find out who that pilot was later on, and inquire about the black Zoid's propulsion system. The empathetic and telepathic bond with his Gun Sniper signaled his own Zoid's stubborn pride questioning such a thing. "If you do not need the help then run faster, slacker," came the pilot's calm response. Kiara's panther was outpacing them, but that was fine. He had no desire to be the first into the fight.

While he was chasing after his employer a ping on his radar caught his attention. The digital map displayed for his view was busy with symbols and numbers, but what was peculiar about this blip in particular was its location. Whoever it was they were a long way off from Diplo base, and they were headed for the Northeast Gate. Either it was a lone Bio-Zoid who got separated from the herd, or a scout for another approaching force. The thought never occurred to him that it could possibly be an ally given the circumstances. It was far out of range at the moment though, so he decided to just keep an eye on it for now.

When Kiara closed the distance with the enemy the Captain's Hellcat put out a fair amount of fire from its machine guns. Sheer weight of fire was one way to kill a target. In comparison Viktor preferred to make killing something as less a fuss as possible. One shot, one kill. Of course, with the small army he was confronted with, all Bio-Zoids from what he could see too, these was a less than ideal situation. Fortunately the stalwart beast known as Diplo Base was already starting to show its teeth, and biting back fiercely against its aggressors. Flying Zoids danced in the air above raking the enemy forces, only then to clear the immediate skies to make way for a deluge of artillery shells. The thunderous roars of the explosive impacts was a familiar and reassuring sound to the Longshots veteran.

Finding a good vantage point atop a rocky outcropping his Gun Sniper turned its back to the enemy and dug its anchoring claws into the bedrock. The hydraulically powered stabilizers locked into place as the raptor's tail straightened out and stiffened with audible clanks. He followed Captain Graueter through his targeting system easily enough, not being more than a half-mile away. Honestly it was still too short a distance for his preference, given the infamous endurance of Bio-Zoids, nevermind there being a whole pack of them this time. Picking out a target trying to engage Kiara in melee the Gun Sniper's rifle fired. A 144mm sniper bullet whizzed through the air to peg the Bio-Zoid mid-jump in the side of its neck. He couldn't hear the Bio-Zoid screech as it fell, but from its agitated flailing on the desert sand Viktor knew it was pissed. 'Damned Bio-bastards, and their thrice-damned armor..' Unable to target any vital spots from his current angle the mercenary settled for spending three more bullets to finally put his target down.

A new voice crackled over the radio, a man claiming to be Second Lieutenant Saunders, the person he had been looking for earlier. Viktor listened to what Jacob had to say while lining up another shot in support of Kiara. Fifty enemies weren't a terrible threat to the base if they could be put down at range. When told to report in the mercenary growled. He had to take his attention away from his scope to recheck his and Kiara's position on the map before calling in. "Gun Sniper pilot Viktor Isayev, engaging the enemy's left flank under Captain Graueter's command, north of Diplo Base." He was about to go back to sniping then, but paused when that one stray blip on his radar was substantially closer, and continuing to approach from the Northeast.

His Gun Sniper repositioned itself on its perch, swiveling around to bring its scope into view of this anomaly. It appeared to be a Lightning Saix if his assumptions were correct, moving at a pretty good pace. It was also armed from what he could see. Keeping the reticule of his target finder on the feline Zoid Viktor tried to hail it over the radio. Whoever it was might have been lost, or on some kind of patrol. It was possible they didn't even know about the fight going on in the Northwestern part of the area. In any case Viktor wasn't going to take any chances in leaving his back exposed to this unknown variable.

"Pilot in the Lightning Saix, identify yourself. You are encroaching upon an active war zone. Fail to respond, and I will shoot to kill."

Rylie Freyhem

Hangar - Outside

Eh. So Hayden was here too. Rylie never liked him much, but he was Shay's best friend, so she had learned to tolerate him. Well, come to think about it, she didn't really like anybody. She was eagerly awaiting to get on to the battle field and crush something, someone goddammit, but of course Shay started a speech. Fuck going to the first, Mugen Liger, Barrigator, Berserk Fury, yada, yada. She got it. Play it smart. The thing that sucked most was that he didn't want to go to the front. She almost complained about this but decided against it; maybe it was the better idea.

Rylie wasn't worried, nor was she scared. She was itching to fight, drumming her hands awkwardly on the dashboard. Shay and his Mugen Liger bounded off to check they weren't walking into an ambush. Good for him. Rylie was losing her patience. Would she sit here like a good little girl and wait until Shay came back? Maybe she could just run off, crush a few Zoids, run back, pretend nothing happened. Hah. The alarm sirens were still wailing, but in the distance she could hear the faint roars and cries of the enemy army.

S: "You two need to move as fast as possible. I'm going to scope out the side of the base to make sure we're not walking into an ambush. Get going, now!"

Hey, she could move fast! It would just be a waste to make the Berserk Fury start to hover, it would be better to save it's energy. She would get him later for calling him slow. Well, practically calling him slow. Sort of. The Berserk Fury let out a low growl. Guess he took it as an insult as well.

R: "Yeah, yeah. Coming."

She steered the Berserk Fury forward, it's weight practically shaking the ground around it. Not only did she hear the roars of enemy Zoids, she heard Shay's Mugen Liger as well.

S: "It's going to be a long day for the Oxerian Empire."

At this, Rylie smiled but sighed. Probably thought he had some cool saying or something, like he was walking away from an explosion in all those badass movies. Idiot. Rylie stomped after the Mugen Liger, rather slow but good enough.

R: "Ey, Captain Catchphrase. Are you happy with the environment around ye?"

Elsa Dryden

[Near the Northeastern Gate; Flanking a Small Group of Bio Raptors]

She skidded to a halt.

The northeastern gate was one hundred kilometers away. Her vantage point on top of a sandy hill allowed for a faint view of the base. She was too far away to see distinct shapes. But data was starting to populate her monitors. Her sensors pinged with clustered activity near the front of the base, though small pockets were breaking away from the main grouping.

Her Lightning Saix prowled several meters across the sandy hill, arcing away from the gate. Its tail twitched in sharp jerks, and Elsa felt her own nervous agitation simmer in her stomach. She took a deep breath, tasting sour sweat on her lips, as her zoid flanked one of the smaller pockets. Habit forced her to check her weapon systems. Once. Twice.

Jacob Saunders’ voice abruptly crackled over the radio. He issued instructions, confirming her suspicions about the activity near the base. Confirmation didn’t ease the agitation in her stomach. She wasn’t looking for a fight of this magnitude. Not this soon.

Elsa grudgingly let her Lightning Saix transition out of its slow prowl and into a gallop. The distance between one of the smaller pockets of activity was closing quickly. Her sensors started to spit off data; asserting that the small pocket of activity was composed of three bio-raptors. She frowned. The armor on a bio zoid was tough.

She dismissed the data.

Her zoid broke into a full run. The speed ate the remaining kilometers and gave Elsa a jolt of adrenaline-induced confidence. The frenzied fighting became visible, and she could see the small grouping of bio zoids attempting to flank a modified Helcat. She shot through the group without incurring damage and stopped abruptly. The momentum from her speed let her turn in a half-circle to come face-to-face with the raptors.

She peppered the group with a handful of shots from her pulse laser rifles. The laser fire irritated the raptors; their jaws worked with angry annoyance and showed off a set of dangerous looking teeth. Elsa swallowed, some of her confidence fading, and ran at the group again. She was still faster than the raptors, but a heated claw scratched at the metal platting of her zoid.

Elsa hissed and immediately put spaced between her Lightning Saix and the raptors. The heated pain didn’t quite dissipate. But the damage to her zoid was only superficial. She flexed the muscles in her arm as the radio cracked with a new, demanding male voice. "Pilot in the Lightning Saix, identify yourself. You are encroaching upon an active war zone. Fail to respond, and I will shoot to kill."

“Elsa Dryden.” She snorted to hide the sting of involuntary tears from the fading burst of pain and opened a special radio frequency for base personnel codes. “I have an authorization code.”

The raptors were following her, now, trying to get at her zoid’s unprotected flanks. And there wasn’t much distance between them. Her Lightning Saix automatically moved into an easy gallop just above the bio raptors’ top speed. When a handful of meters separated the zoids, Elsa turned and raced through the group.

Her Lightning Saix caught the middle raptor at high speed with its front, right claws. The caught zoid shrieked and toppled over onto its back. Its armored tail cutter sliced into the Saix’s belly, gorging the metal and exposing circuitry. Elsa yelped at the impact. Shock kept the fresh wave of pain from filtering through her nerves. She twisted away from the raptor and turned just enough to rain down a burst of fire from her double-barreled vulcan guns.

Kiara

Enemy flank northeast of duplia base

Shots fly by her taking out the raptor about to attack her. Hearing Viktor call out a lightning Saix. She looked at it trying identify it. Her zoid locked down onto the Lightning Saix. Waiting for response she notice there were bio raptors catching up to her. She knew those were definitely enemies so she locked on target. Right when she pulled the trigger on a bio raptor. The zoid responded, she recognized the voice. Double tapping the bio zoid "confirmed. Vik open fire on the bio zoids."

Aarius Germaine

Underground

Aarius listened half-heartedly while the others responded to where they were and what their position was. He really didn't see the need to tell them where he obviously was, but he assumed it would at least put their mind at ease to know that he was willing to communicate and get the job done. "Aarius. Underground." His microphone went quite as he had a 'shivering' laugh as if he was barely able to contain himself. Almost as if someone was trying to pronounce the 'H' sound at a rapid speed. *H-h-h-h-h-h-heh* "Doesn't matter who starts first. I-" He seemed to suck in air through his teeth with a sick *fuf-fuf-fuf* sound as if he was gearing up for some sort of 'naughty' action. "-Got you covered."

He didn't care who it was or what kind of zoid they were piloting. Aarius made his way to the front of the pack, burrowing underneath the ground and awaiting the eventual sound of gunfire, rockets, and pulses from lasers. As soon as all of that started, he would make sure to dive straight up underneath any approaching zoids. Not the ones in the front, of course. He was going to search for prey that was in the farthest reaches of the pack. The ones that would least expect it. The ones that normally would be kept safe. And usually- The leaders.

Alcesi A. Elkin

Hangar

Alcesi was calm as he finished to pull the last safety strap around himself, creating a rubberized "X" of safety across his chest. He was unsure of what everyone else stylized their Zoids with, but his was built for safety. He was old for goodness sake! He couldn't be doing the flips and amazing jumps those young soldiers were doing! No, he had to rely on the very handy railing that gave him a very convenient way to get up. A way, he reiterated, that would get him into the Zoid without a broken back being attained in the process. Alcesi took a deep breath in as he looked at the controls, before calming himself with an exhale, then he took an even bigger gulp of his coffee, and let it run down his throat as he got into the fighting spirit.

Putting the coffee cup into a special cup holder he had had specially built into his Zoid, with permission from the Lanstag first, of course, that made it so that anything below literally flipping through the air would be unable to make his coffee spill. It seemed to harness the artificial gravity workings of the special Gravity Wheel device worked into his Zoid. That thing was a lifesaver, and a coffee saver. Before he had gotten it, Alcesi hadn't been allowed to drink coffee in the Zoid! Those were some dark days.

With his coffee now safely placed away, immune to the motion his Zoid was about to go through, Alcesi cracked his knuckles and both flinched at the pain and smiled at the delightful popping sound he had gotten used to over the years. Alcesi outstretched his hands laid them firmly down onto the control handle. Feeling his connection grow even stronger with his Zoid now that he was in it, Alcesi smiled warmly at the beauty that was his Lanstag, and began to push the buttons on the side, activating the systems for the Lanstag.

Sensing its need to awaken completely for battle, the Lanstag straightened up from its crouched position and began to speedily walk towards the Hangar door. Dodging some of the stragglers of the group easily with its frame and special mechanizations, the Lanstag launched itself out of the Hangar. Alcesi took another breath as he prepared for what he was about do, the confidence within him surging as he made sure to keep thinking solely about finding out what state the Frontline Base was in. His eyes holding a determined sparkle, Alcesi put his hand on a special gearshift beside his chair, and pulled it all the way back.

From the inner parts of the Zoid, Alcesi heard a heartening whirr sprout from the innermost depths, one filled with progress and Science! From the outside of the Lanstag, the glint metal of the sun on the Lanstag began to blur, as if the sight was but an object on a picture that some began to paint over. Ever so slowly, the Lanstag disappeared from sight, the Gravity Wheel successfully pulling all the sunlight away from it and making it virtually invisible.

From the inside, Alcesi looked approvingly the tiny screen that went green as it notified him of the successful use of the machine. Putting his hand back on the Control Handle, Alcesi began to direct the Zoid's rapid movements towards the enemy, but in a diagonal direction, heading more for the sides than the dangerous center. They said there was calm in the eye of the storm, but there would certainly be no calm in that mass of hellions.

@Battle!

Vis- Hangar 1to bar

The moment the alarm went off and the man he was supposed to talk to just bolted to join the fray was the moment he exited. He simply sighed as everyone jumped into their zoids and hopped onto the battlefield. He would simply stay behind while everyone else fought until the contract that came with the hire was properly filed out and authorized. Only when said paper work is done would he have proper clearance to fight. As obtrusive as it seems he was just following boss' orders which were there to prevent various hassles. Namely the headache involving the handling of expenses incurred by combat, any sort of damage claims, as well waiving responsibility over certain things. And of course there was the payment issue.

Whatever he would be earning from the employment by the army would be reduced by a certain percentage as cut for the boss as profit from hiring him out. And bossman doesn't like when the paperwork hasn't be processed and when payment for services rendered is interrupted. For Vis' part dealing with his boss being annoyed was the least of his problems compared to that one time he had twenty weeks worth of back pay and was practically starving while accruing all sorts of expenses for his zoid. Leaning in the chair his datapad was currently in the process of sending the paperwork to the proper office for some sign of confirmation before he does anything.

Hayden and Shay

[superthiefbrosmelee]

H: "Moving fast isn't what Cuddles is for." Hayden said smirking as most of Shay's tactics fell on deaf ears. Inputting directions into the cockpit Cuddles listened and moved forward ready for a fight against anything that dare attempt to attack. Taking another bite of his burger he encouraged Cuddles to move at his top speed to get into battle faster. After waiting a few moments for Shay's liger to scout the area he contacted him again. H: "See anything yet? Because I better not have to travel too far, this desert isn't particularly favorable for Cuddles over here." Hayden said itching for some action.

S: "Cuddles doesn't like the desert? That's where this whole role-play is going to take place."

Shay brought a hand to his face, shaking his head with that same smirk fixated onto his visage. The Liger had since stopped rawring, and instead looked over to the Berserker Fury and the Barigator.
S:"A number of what appear to be foreign Zoids to the northeast. We could hit 'em from the side where they least expect it. I picked up ten at first, but there's more than that for sure." When the two Zoids caught up, Shay pushed the throttle on the Mugen Liger enough so that the pace equaled that of both the larger, slower Zoids. They weren't really in a rush to get there, but obviously the quicker they did, the more available time became to allow an attack during a vulnerable point.

Hayden sighed and attempted to correct Shay's misunderstanding. H: "It isn't that Cuddles doesn't like the desert, he just isn't in his ideal area, he likes places where he can hide or lurk in water for a surprise attack. Open desert just isn't preferable." As for the foreign zoids they wouldn't be a problem so long as Shay could rip them apart Cuddles could endure like he was meant to do. "It won't be much longer till I get there and when I do those zoids are going to be scrap metal." Hayden said proudly thinking of the devastating damage a single bite from Cuddles could deal.

S: "Yeah, yeah."

Shay's smirk had not faded quickly. In fact, it was sooner replaced with a determined look. Hayden's desired battle conditions would not be fulfilled as he would have liked, but Shay was confident that the Barigator would fair just fine so long as it was hitting hard from a distance. Not needing to explain such a tactic to the owner of the Zoid, Shay kept a solid pace with the other two Zoids before they reached the side of the fight. A Lightning Saix had just taken some damage, but unfortunately for Diplo, such Bio Zoids were not the only wave of offense. Perfect. The crew had arrived just in time to hit the bio-noids from the side. The speed of the bio-raptors had been far too great for Shay to pull off his initial plan, so instead he stopped his advancement. With the halt of forward movement from his own Zoid, Shay hoped the other two pilots would follow. In front of the three, the bio-raptors moved for the base, tunnel-visioned to the point where Shay, Rylie and Hayden weren't initially spotted. The Mugen Liger pushed it's chest forward, revealing its three-shot gravity cannon - which withdrew air before firing. Three shells found themselves crashing into three bio-raptors, instantly causing the Zoids to explode on impact. Suddenly, the three had much more attention on them than they initially had; ten raptors began running for them as fast as possible as a result of Shay's offensive attempt. Luckily enough for Shay, the majority of the Zoids moving in their direction failed to target the Liger. Such actions from other pilots or Zoids usually found the same strategy. The Barigator was naturally much more harmful than the Mugen Liger; or such was believed to be true. Regardless of the validity of such an argument, the Lumiere was always overlooked. Shay often put in heavy amounts of damage due to such an oversight.

Hayden smiled seeing the bio raptors run right towards them at full charge. "This is gonna be easy." Taking another bite of his burger he thrust the controls forward as his bargator ran into the action. "Now to make them angry." He smiled as the dual AMD 20 mm Beam Guns fired into the incoming group doing little damage but enough to switch their attention to the barigator. As the drew closer he smiled waiting for the perfect opportunity. "Just a little closer... A little bit closer." The bioraptor made a mistake and came in too close to the barigator which lunged forward at surprising speed and latched its teeth around one of the bio-raptor's legs and sunk them in, deep refusing to leg go. Another Bio-Raptor attempted to attack from behind only to be caught offguard by the Barigator's large tail. The tail smashed into the second Bio raptor's legs causing it to topple over. The Barigator refused to let go of the struggling Bio-Raptor as it was unable to break the hold Cuddles had on its leg.

H: "Shay, I got two of them ready for ya and plenty more are pissed at Cuddles! You're free to tear em apart."

Hayden said as he saw the teeth sink even deeper into the Bio Zoid as the struggling only helped accelerate the process. Hayden fired the beam cannons directly above the bite location of the Zoid's leg. The teeth sunk in deeper as the zoid was almost done for. "Just a bit more." A loud snap could be heard in the Zoid's leg as most of the resistance disappeared. "Now pull it off!" Hayden shouted as Cuddles pulled violently back on the leg completely removing it from the now shrieking Bio-Zoid.

H: "Now that Zoid is done with." Hayden said proudly turning his focus to the rest of the group that had been having trouble penetrating the armor on top of Cuddles.

As the Barigator got swamped by two initially, Shay recognized that more were still headed over. The one that had been grabbed by the Barigator's claw would me dealt with first. As it's leg was separated from the rest of it's body, both the Murasame and Mugen blades belonging to the Liger's back would surge into the Zoid's back side-by-side. This was before the Zoid was torn in half, causing the top half of the torso to fall off the already-dismembered portion of it's lower body. And so, there was still a few Bio-Raptors latched onto the back of the Barigator. Shay forced the Mugen Liger's boosters to blow at full, before ricocheting the gigantic sentient mecha over the frame of his friend's Barigator. The force of the mane's blades were felt by one, but the entire momentum and force of the body belonging to the Mugen Liger caused all but one of the Bio-Raptors to fall off the back of the Barigator. Lumiere landed on the same raptor which had been hit by it's crown in the first place, before ripping it apart piece by piece with its extremely sharp teeth. First, the neck, then the arms. Unfortunately, Shay had failed to take care of the Raptor which the Barigator hit with it's tail. When Shay forced the lion-type Zoid looked up, he saw a total of seven Raptors gathering up in front of him. Taking a couple of steps back, Shay weighed out his options. Two had been taken out, another was still immobilized by the tail whip.

S: "Rylie!"

It was about time the Berserker Fury got some action.

Rylie Freyhem

[Outside]

The boys chit-chat could be seen on her screen, but Rylie, for some reason, was in a quiet mood today. Sure, she always had something annoying to say to someone but she didn't care as much as usual. For the banter, she meant. Oh, for the fighting, she cared a lot. S: "A number of what appear to be foreign Zoids to the northeast. We could hit 'em from the side where they least expect it. I picked up ten at first, but there's more than that for sure." That, she payed attention too. Ten. That was easy, they could obviously handle it.

While the boys enjoyed their little tag-team effort, a Bio-Raptor took a liking to her and instead of grouping up against Hayden and Shay, went for the Berserk Fury. A big mistake, right there. The Berserk Fury didn't roar, didn't move, just stood and waited. Her hands hovered over the controls, waiting for the perfect moment. The Bio-Raptor let out a small screech, drowned out by the flock past them as it swooped down. The Berserk Fury opened it's mouth, awaiting for the perfect moment to chomp down, but at the last second the Bio-Raptor swerved away.

The Bio-Raptor dived down once more, preparing to use it's Heat Hacking Claws, screeching loudly. Rylie's eyes widened in anticipation. "One.. more.. second.." She knew that her good ol' Monster was just dying to get in there, crush that puny Raptor, but Rylie knew they needed to wait. "NOW!" The Berserk Fury did a full 180, just as it prepared to attack the giant Zoid's tail crashed into the Raptor, sending it into the ground, full force. It didn't get up.

S: "Rylie!"

Rylie flinched. She had been so focused, so in the zone, she hadn't noticed Shay being flocked. They hadn't really known that she was in action either. Suddenly, six seemed like a whole lot more than it actually was. Crap. She thought to herself, trying to come up with a quick solution. What about the Particle Cannon? But it needed to charge. Rylie flipped the switch. A whir began, but it would at least need a couple minutes. In the mean time..

She flipped another switch. For the Electron Fang. And then, one button to rule them all - the thrusters. The Berserk Fury hovered over the ground and charged forward, snapping at one and electrocuting it while at the same time crashing into one more with it's side. Just as Rylie prepared to attack another, one came up from behind and chomped down on a thruster. That wasn't good. The Berserk Fury shook a bit, struggling to regain it's balance, but it still had three other, it could hang on for a bit longer. "Damn!" She cried, and tried to shake it off but that Raptor was holding on tight. She couldn't reach it because it was smack on the side, the tail wasn't long enough and the Berserk Fury couldn't exactly crane it's neck there.

R: "I managed to get two! Get this thing off!"

Viktor Isayev
Attacking the Enemy's Flank (North of Diplo Base)

From the powerful scope mounted on his Gun Sniper's back Viktor kept a wary eye on the Lightning Saix that had just entered the fray. It looked to be helping Kiara's Hellcat, but a fair warning had already been given. As he watched the cheetah Zoid took a good swipe from a Bio Raptor. Viktor didn't see any real damage from the hit, but as a Zoidian he knew such a thing wasn't always so benign. When the pilot did respond to his demand for identification she was prudent enough to also show him some credentials. Kiara chimed in over the radio then telling him to keep fighting, addressing him rather too casually for his liking. 'She really is her mother's daughter,' he thought to himself with a frown recalling how Kali had done the same not long after they had first met.

"Acknowledged," came his curt reply. He still gave the transferred information a brief scan before returning his attention back to the battlefield though, just to sate his paranoia. The mercenary took aim at the Bio Raptor Kiara was currently firing at before joining in with his Zoid's sniper rifle. Tap. Realign his sight. Tap. Again he he adjusted for the recoil. Shooting from a Zoid always seemed so effortless. A guttural, inhuman growl in the back of his thoughts reminded him otherwise as his Gun Sniper disagreed telepathically. It never did 'speak' audibly like most other Zoids, and that was a quirk Viktor had grown to be fond of. Not all hunters felt the need to roar. Combining his firepower with Kiara's they managed to down one of the Bio-Raptors chasing the Lightning Saix.

Elsa did well enough in grounding another with a well placed strike. In the ensuing melee though her Zoid took another hit in return. The woman's cry over the radio didn't go unnoticed by the red eyed Zoidian. The anchor claws on his Zoid's feet unlocked and ripped themselves out from the rocky outcropping his Zoid was using for a perch. Instinct told him to keep his distance from the two more robust Zoids that formed his haphazard 'team,' and let them deal with any close combat. On the other hand common sense told him that the Helcat and the Lightning Saix couldn't very well serve as a buffer for him if they got killed.

In anticipation of a nasty experience the barrels on the Gun Sniper's wrist mounted gatling guns whirred into life as it then sprinted closer to better support its allies. The covers on his Zoid's missile launchers sprung open before letting loose a small flurry of sixteen missiles. The guided projectiles cut through the air before hammering two more Bio Raptors chasing after Elsa, and knocking them off their feet. As the distance closed Viktor directed a torrent of beam fire at the nearest Bio-Zoid to keep it suppressed and disoriented. To permanently put the monster out of commission the blue Gun Sniper stomped on the Bio Raptor's head and pierced through its glowing eye with its large anchoring claw, making sure to twist the blade around a little.

Keeping the claw firmly locked into the Bio Raptor's skull Viktor turned his own Zoid to face its straightening tail towards the second Bio-Zoid as it started to get up. The sniper rifle fired several times at nigh pointblank range. Viktor's target stumbled back before a final shot plowed right between its roaring jaws, only to exit out the back of its head after.

"So much for a flanking maneuver. This might as well be another front of the attack with all the attention we are drawing here."

Berry and Ashlin

Ash had a small sense of dread when the woman spoke up, partly from the truth behind her words. This was a very small force to have broken the main defensive line. There had to be more out there but that would have to be figured out another day.

"Right, so with that said, if Jugalos ends up getting shredded, We'll be ejecting, the buttons here." Berry directed ash to the location of the lever that would eject at a heavy pull. "I only have one parachute mind you so you'd have to hold tight." Berry shrugged and then blinked as a piece of shrapnel bounced against the cockpit, a piece of Aerial zoid having seemingly been torn off. Berry flicked the 3-D screen back to it's original position and smiled as Jugalos stomped over the first pieces of shrapnel to appear on the ground; Berry always liked how aerial zoids would always be the first to collide, the leftover bodies always gave her an idea of when she was close enough to engage.

Ash wasn't sure if the woman was joking or serious about having to cling to the woman or not.

Barrett felt a tinge of energy coming from the zoid, it loved battle as much if not more than she did, and it immediately stopped as berry rolled the joystick forward, the 930mm Double barreled shock gun locking to it's place over the shoulder and a guidance reticle flopped to the side and in front of the cockpit. The behemoth of a weapon was charging with energy a sort of pulsing tremor coming from within the humongous zoid, the whole cockpit shook and Berry began to bounce up and down with excitement as the weapon pulsed and was prepped to fire, she aimed directly at a large group of battling zoids. If the tremors didn't make the basic troops the words over the private military communications would.

Ashlin ended up being bounced around as the woman showed her excitement of battle. Oh dear lord this woman is crazy.... She thought to her self completely out of her element. She was used to stay on the side lines and out of sight. Catching the stray's which left the main field not being in the thick of it and having zoid parts raining down on her. She noticed the woman taking aim at the middle of the battle field where there was a large cluster of Bio zoids fighting off some command wolves. "H-hey some of those are on our side." Ash spoke up.

"Move or die." The weapon fired and the Gojalus dug into the dirt, a huge ball of energy blasting off into the crowd, some zoids made their move away from the crowd although some were unlucky. The energy collided on target and exploded on impact, the shock wave that followed would shake even the Gojalus, now more than a few meters back from it's initial position. Dust filled the air and created a sort of smoke cloud and grit and sand would sweep over the entire battlefield. Sadly, Barrett couldn't see much of the situation as she was submerged in the puff of frills that had engulfed her during the sudden movement backwards.

Ashlin was let out a small yelp as the force of the shot rocked the cockpit and submerged her in a tidal wave of frills. She had only ever synced with Mirage in her life but even with out a true connection with the Gojalus she could still feel waves of excitement. Along side this was a tremendous force of power and strength that would have given her a good rush if she wasn't scared for her life as well. She wasn't sure who was more of a danger The bio-zoids or the cornell. "What the fuck was that?!" She panicked slightly flailing a bit in order to beat down the fluff of her skirt so the monitors weren't blocked.

She saw several of the zoids which in the target area knocked off their feet. Two or three of the Bio-zoids were already starting to crumble and fade to dust as they died. Ash was seriously impressed with the amount of fire power that one shot had but wasn't exactly sure if Berry was the best choice to be using it.

Edurad Desert, 11:45AM - Present

Ezra Bleier was boned.

He had just driven a heavily and visibly armed war machine into a restricted military zone, during a time of war, with no easy way to communicate with the control tower. In simpler terms:

Ezra Bleier done fucked up.

He frantically searched for his credentials, which had the secure radio frequency and encryption, in order to signify his clearance, when there was a flash. BAM! Alakazam, out of that orange-colored sky came several high-explosives.

FUCK

Ezra sure knew how to make an entrance, showed up thirty seconds before an assault on the base. It'd be a miracle of he made it out of this unscathed. A red blip popped up on Ezra's radar, the cockpit's lights went dim, and several new displays revealed themselves. Haru's stance changed, several guns swiveled and a volley of beams were unleashed at the sky. The shell was detonated midair, a display in Haru's cockpit flashed up with the trajectory of the ordinance and an approximate location of the assailant, but as Ezra turned Haru, he found he didn't need the computer's help. The enemy was a horde of bio-zoids, relatively small ones, luckily, but Ezra had a feeling this was just the scout force.

Holy Shit. That is a lot of--

Then the adrenaline hit. A breath. A blink. A push of a button. A flick of a joystick. A pull of a trigger. A clunking sound. A pneumatic whoosh. A telling whistle of a tracer round. An explosion. It was all in slow motion, with muted sound and oversaturated color. Ezra took another breath, focusing on Haru. He synched his breathing with Haru's cooling system. Tensing muscles where Haru's pistons and rotors were primed. He let his vision defocus, and when he blinked, he saw what Haru saw. He saw the screens before him, but he wasn't looking at them, he was looking through Haru's eyes. His hands moved around the controls reflexively as he simply thought of motors whirring into motion, or pistons to fire. There was a disconnect between Ezra's senses and his cognition. His eyes took in the information from the screens in front of him, processing it as though he just knew. As long as he kept his intense, hypnotic focus, Ezra was, for all intents and purposes, one with Haru.

Ezra began backing up to the south, tweaking his aim occasionally to keep a constant barrage in the general area of the approaching horde. Unsure if he hit anyone, let alone killed them, Ezra continued to add to the distance between himself and the enemy until he was able to creep around the corner of one of Diplo's buildings.

Satisfied that he had sufficient time before he was discovered, Ezra refocused, taking a moment to adjust to the different atmosphere of being in a Zoid, rather than being the Zoid itself. Then Ezra rummaged around his consoles once more, finally finding the radio information, which he punched into Haru's controls. The panicked chatter of a relatively unprepared military force under assault broke into Ezra's cockpit, and he caught the tail end of Saunders' rallying speech. Ezra tapped more controls, getting a trace on each radio receiving or broadcasting on this frequency, pinging off of them to keep real-time tabs on them. Ezra zeroed in on his temporary C.O.'s position. He opened a clearcomm line, and Lt. Saunders' image sprung into the already crowded screens of the cockpit.

As he waited for an answer, Ezra rounded the corner again to find a couple of the enemy force scouting out his location. Both sides shocked into inaction, there was a surreal little standoff as each side tried to process the other's existence. Haru was the first to react, the vulcan cannons spinning up as they aimed at the unfortunate scouts. This spurred them into action, and the Bio-Raptors leapt, one to the side, and one straight at Haru. The latter was launched skyward by the Dark Horn's namesake crasher horns while Ezra swung the vulcan cannons in chase of the former, unloading lead all the while. Ezra's ears were assaulted with loud cracks as the hailstorm of oversized bullets rained after the Bio-Raptor. The Bio-Raptor was sprinting in an arc around Haru to outpace the rotating death-guns, and as it got directly behind Haru, the other Bio-Raptor slammed down onto it, both of them landing in a tangled heap of metal.

As the Bio-Raptors recovered, Haru's hulking figure loomed over them. There was a single moment as the CP-05A beam cannons charged up during which the Bio-Raptors stood in terrified silence and immobility. There were no screams. There was no time. The Dark Horn called Haru had spoken. There was only brilliant green light, then nothing. The huge, high-powered, long-range energy beams having been set up for use at extreme range left only a memory and radiating fear where the Bio-Raptors were seconds before.

Ezra took a moment to bask in the residual horror that he felt exuding from the scorched spot on the ground where the enemy scouts stood before. He mentally noted two more kills with victims expressing fear at the time of death. Fear was the most common, followed by regret, then rage, sadness, contentment, and then calm. That penultimate data point always struck Ezra as odd. Contentment shouldn't be the last mood running through someone's head. Be terrified of death, or fight back.

Ezra was snapped out of his macabre reverie by his clearcomm line opening, so he set up Haru to keep a steady bombardment on the enemy's rear forces, preventing an easy escape. Ezra doesn't do 'retreats'. Once Haru's aim was set up, Ezra caught Saunders' attention and rapidly signed to the liaison:

'REPORTING FOR DUTY, SIR. AM I IN TIME FOR THE PARTY?'

Jacob Saunders

For Jacob there was a peace in destruction.

Well...that sounds sociopathic, contradictory and rather odd. It was the feeling that he was putting a dent into the enemy forces, it was the feeling that progress was being made, it was the feeling that they could win this fight, that even though there was a hoard of bio Zoids ahead of them, Jacob had something that none of them save the Artilery pieces had.

Superior fire power...

Moloch began launching salvo after salvo of shots from the 17 guns on it's back. The recoil shaking the zoid, the cockpit, and the Jacob himself, every shot he could feel through his rumbling metallic jaw. The reign of fire would have to continue, he shifted targets as needed, 14 of the 17 guns constantly readjusting to different targets to give support. 3 remained squarely locked on to 3 zoids, and until they were piles of ruble...Moloch would continue to fire at them. One of the had stopped moving, however it was best to keep the rate of fire up just to make sure it was 100% positively dead.

He then heard the call ins from each of the forces. However 2 were still unaccounted for, he thumbed the comm, "Berry! Ashlin! report in" Just then the Shockcannon fired, He could feel the shot from in the back as he felt the metal in his jaw Vibrate, He winced, as he muttered to himself "Christ that thing has a kick to it...So Berry is there...Where the hell is Ashlin?" He sighed, she'd report in eventually. Though something else caught his attention. His screen was taken up by a man rapidly signing to him. Jacob Stared for a bit, before his mind started to put two and two together. it'd been a bit since he signed but his mind started to fill in the gaps. He spoke as he Signed, "No, just in time! Question, are you deaf as well or just mute?"

Elsa Dryden

[Near the Northeastern Gate; Flanking the Bio-Zoids]

Her stomach burned, and the exposed circuits smoldered.

Ashy black ribbons of smoke curled over her Lightning Saix’s thick armor and licked the blue sky. The smell of burning metal was putrid, and it was thick in her nose. Her scanner data flickered as white sparks briefly lit the underbelly of her zoid. Elsa abruptly disengaged from the felled bio-raptor; the zoid’s heavy mechanical limbs twitched violently before lifelessness settled over the machine.

She slunk several meters behind the Gun Sniper. Her zoid flicked its tail—agitated—and slowly moved away from the heavy fighting. Elsa squeezed her eyes shut, breathing shallowly, and rubbed her hand over her flat, uninjured stomach. Salty, hot tears leaked down her pale cheeks.

A headache, born from the smell of burning metal and phantom wounds, was starting to blossom at the base of her skull. Her Lightning Saix shook. The exposed circuits sparked different colors, and some of the ashy smoke dissipated. And the easy, familiar roll of her zoid’s shoulders made Elsa feel marginally better. She snuck a glance at her scanner.

Her environmental data was still fading in and out. She frowned and manually studied the battlefield. The bio-zoids were rapidly approaching the northeastern gate in larger groups. And their lines were closing. Circling around and flanking smaller groups at high speed was less of a possibility.

The Lightning Saix pawed the ground. Sand tickled the exposed circuits and sent a sharp jolt through the functional sensors. Elsa shivered at the bone-deep vibration and pushed her tongue against her teeth, thinking. Her zoid pawed the ground again. Another dusty cloud of sand tickled the machine’s belly.

“Mm.” She made a small sound of acknowledgement at the Gun Sniper’s observation.

Her zoid’s agitation continued to build, and Elsa reflexively patted one of the monitors. A tight line of bio-zoids opened suddenly. There was just enough room to squeeze her Lightning Saix into the opening and turn on one of the raptors. Elsa set her mouth in a grime line as her zoid’s claws dug into the ground and pushed off.

“I’ll line this group up if you shoot them down?”

She lifted her voice in question. But she didn’t stop to consider the possibility of the Gun Sniper not shooting down exposed targets. Or the Helcat not helping to flank the bio-zoids. An easy buzz danced through her connection with the Lightning Saix; it eased the burning in her stomach and restored some of her confidence. She was just as capable—and deadly—as anyone else on the field.

Alcesi A. Elkin

Battlefield

The cockpit was dim as Alcesi's body moved along the gentle tempo of his Zoid kicking up sand from the ground. While his Zoid weight atleast a ton, the gravity wheel made it so that each weighted step, came crashing down like it was a feather. Alcesi was affected by it too. Yes, currently he could feel every single thing in his stomach floating, only his experience with the nasty feeling being what allowed him to keep his lunch down.

When he had first got his Zoid, he had been healthy enough to ignore the feeling, but one day his body just wasn't able to handle it anymore and he had to keep a waste bucket inside until he relearned how to keep his gastric reactions to himself. Looking at the bright monitor, Alcesi released his control handles for a second to press a small green button on the side of his handle, the button glowed and out beside it, a small handle popped out. Grabbing it, Alcesi twisted the small knob and suddenly, his monitor view switched as the tiny receptors of his Zoids eyes realigned to the opposite direction.

Alcesi frowned as he saw the multiple battles going on around the area, or at least, that is what he assumed by the multiple explosions going on, many of the blasts originating from both sides, small amounts of movement showing that there was some battle between more mobile Zoids in the middle area of both powerhouses. Alcesi felt a pang in his heart as he saw how each person was placing their lives on the line to make sure that the base continued to exist and that those Zoids were unable to continue their unholy warpath.

The high of the beginning of the battle left Alcesi's head, and with it, common sense began to flood in, washing away the dams of denial Alcesi had placed up at the sight of the Zoids. While it meant possible destruction and certain battle, it had held a great meaning for Alcesi. While he couldn't call them all friends, he had a lot of pals in the front line base, and now, they were all dead. Alcesi felt old, felt very old, as he thought of each young life, each young man with a smile, and each young woman with dreams, all of them dead at the hands of the relentless Bio-Zoids.

His Zoid continued to move forward, but Alcesi had no desire to continue piloting. He hated this war, and sometimes, moments like these where the only thing he could do in mourning was say a silent goodbye to everyone he loved and lost, he really wished, almost desperately so, that the tides of time had taken him completely. Breathing out a sigh filled with regret, Alcesi picked his head up, the reflection of his eyes in the monitor looking somber, and took a sip of coffee to keep his mind on track.

The Front line base was destroyed, and so, despite his reluctance to do so, there was only one thing Alcesi could do to. Placing the coffee down, Alcesi placed his hands firmly on the controls, and slipped one of his hands to the side to realign his monitor view, along with turning off manual camera view. Placing it back on, Alcesi took a hard right, his Zoid heeding his command and adjusting its direction properly, and continued onward, still cloaked, towards the enemy.

Rushing out onto the field, Alcesi headed towards the more left alone part of the enemy forces from behind, the explosive attacks from the base being as deadly as to Alcesi as they were to the enemy, probably more so. If his gravity wheel was destroyed this close, or ran into some sort of malfunction, he would be quickly overrun. Seeing a few Bio Raptors straggling behind a bigger group of the buggers, Alcesi pushed on his control handle, edging his Lanstag to full speed.

Quickly, his Zoid erased the distance between it and the selected enemy, and with much exuberance, Alcesi let his Lanstag do the rest, letting his subtle movements keep its instinctive attack patterns inline, but still effective. Lowering its head, the Lanstag tackled one of the Bio Raptors with its head, the invisibility it possessed painting a picture of a random Bio Zoid being picked up by air. However, this was quickly erased as well as the Lanstag quickly exerted its gravity bending ability on the machine held in its grasp, wiping its visual existence from the earth.

Now unseen by the other Bio Zoids, the Lanstag crushed the Bio Raptor stuck in its steel antlers with the extreme force they held, shattering the steel that held the monstrosity together, and ripping from it the stolen life it had taken for its own. The heap of Zoid in its antler now nothing but a nuisance, it scattered it on the ground, the pieces becoming visual again, before taking off towards the next one, hoping to get as many as it could before its presence was truly noticed.

Viktor Isayev
Attacking the Enemy's Flank (North of Diplo Base)

Move or die? What the hell kind of notification was that? The apathetic warning over the radio definitely caught Viktor's attention. He had barely turned his Zoid to look in the direction of the call when the blast hit its target. Thankfully being on the side of the pack of Bio-Zoids kept him out of the blast radius, but his small Gun Sniper shook with the vibrations from the impact. It wasn't very often the mercenary found himself surprised. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best as the saying went. But a Gojulas? That wasn't something he ever expected to see in employment of the Solian army. He couldn't help but also notice with a twitching eye that said Zoid had caught several allies in the blast. Viktor felt completely safe with the idiot piloting that beast nearby. The desert dust that got kicked up made the center of the fighting even more of a mess than it already was, too.

Turning his attention back to the situation at hand he saw another cloud nearby. This one black, and rising from Elsa's Lightning Saix. He had little time to ponder the extent of the damage before the woman and her Zoid bounded off after another group of enemies. The abrupt suggestion of a plan drew forth a skeptical smirk from the man as he studied their newly appointed targets. "Heroics will get you killed, girl!" Despite his disagreement with their impromptu strategy, especially with a damaged Zoid at the forefront of things, Viktor turned his Gun Sniper about to swivel its rifle to align with his targets. It was only after turning around did he notice a few of the Bio Raptors had snuck past them during the Gojulas' attack. Viktor snapped off a shot that pegged one of the approaching enemies in the throat before quickly hailing the liaison piloting the Dibison. His irritation punctuated his Oxerian accent.

"Saunders; this is Viktor. The bitch in the Gojulas is starting to scatter the enemy to the sides with her damned cannons! Starting to blow a hole in the front lines as well! Several hostiles got by us; inbound for Diplo's Northeast Gate. Stay alert."

With his own problems to worry about he looked back to the screen showing his sniper rifle's current target. Seeing the gap in the line Elsa was heading for he focused on widening the space by taking down or tripping up the Bio Raptors on either side of the hole.

Hayden Senayh

Battlefield

Hayden looked through the cockpit as he saw Riley was having trouble with a single zoid he sighed to himself disappointed that she couldn't even handle a simple bioraptor. "Come on Cuddles, we have to save the drama queen." He said as Cuddles made another large swipe with its tail knocking a few more over. He pulled the controls and fired the 20mm beam cannons as the Zoid behind Riley was hit disturbing its concentration. "Move it Cuddles!" Cuddles moved at a surprising speed as he leapt forward and grabbed a hold of the zoid behind Riley with it's teeth. If it weren't for the simple fact that she was the mother of Shay's son he would have just left her to rot. "Now get the hell away from this zoid and keep your damn distance!" Hayden shouted as he took the last bite of his burger. "That burger tasted more like sauce than an actual burger." He muttered as Cuddles sunk his teeth in deeper to the bioraptor.

Hayden looked around as he felt a Cuddles lurch to one side. "What was that?" Looking around he saw a bioraptor trying to tip Cuddles over to attack its underbelly. "Keep trying that." The bioraptor tried three more times before eating two of the beam cannons directly in its face. "I have enough of these things on Cuddles, feel free to grind them into dust!" He shouted at the two of them but only having faith in Shay to actually take out the bioraptors. Cuddles teeth sunk even further into the bio raptor's neck as its metallic shriek for mercy could be heard. "Don't let it go Cuddles." While Hayden wasn't for outright killing zoids these things were attacking in such a number that it didn't really phase him if one or two were lost along the way, specially since they were trying to outright kill him.

Shay Shlorens

Well, the Mugen Liger had not been far off; but it certainly went unbothered since taking out the last Bio-Raptor. He would have sprung back into action to help Riley if it was needed, but it was quite apparent that Hayden had rose to the occasion quicker than he was able to. This was appreciated by Shay, especially knowing how Hayden felt in regards to the woman. It was nice to have a friend who was also looking out for his needs. It definitely helped in retrospect. Hearing Hayden make a comment about the burger tasting more like sauce than anything else, Shay smirked. "What the hell did you expect? It's a fucking army burger. It has to be trash by law." Of course, Shay was joking; though there was probably some truth within his words, he did not know exactly for sure. Six weeks of plebe training certainly spoke novels, though.

When poor 'Cuddles' was the target to some more bio-raptors, Shay moved Lumiere into gear as soon as possible. Dealing with the remaining number surrounding the Barigator was no issue, and took a relatively short portion of time to deal with. Once his blades had finished slicing through the machinery of the last Zoid that was bothering the Barigator, it let out another roar. Letting it finish before he began speaking, Shay looked at the monitor of the Mugen Liger with a dull expression on his face.
"Really? You're going to roar after every batch of these raptors? We get it. You're a lion. You can roar and stuff." He placed a hand on the dash and patted it. "Relax, buddy."

Taking a sigh, Shay closed his eyes and sat back in his seat. He placed a hand onto his forehead, shaking it from side to side before speaking to both Hayden and Rylie
. "At least you're not rusty. I'm thankful for not having to constantly save your sorry butts." In reality, Rylie and Hayden were in way better position to defend such an onslaught in comparison to the Mugen Liger. He was lucky to have them around, and he was absolutely aware of this fact despite not mentioning it. There were some explosions and shit going on around them still, yeah. Shay was completely Ray Charles to it, though.

Ashlin Hunter

In the Gojulas

Ash couldn't help but find the woman's tactics less than helpful as the concentrated battle front was now scattered. With several small raptors getting by the first line of defense. Thankfully the secondary and third back up lines were able to do away with the vermin quickly before they could pose a real danger to the base. "Don't aim for the center, at least target the outer edges to concentrate them into our side." She advised, although her voice was rather harsh. The brunet wished that she could be in her own zoid in the whole event, at least then she would be in control instead of at the mercy of some manic mad woman.

"Berry! Ashlin! report in"

A voice crackled over the speakers breaking Ash's train of thought. Leaving Berry to concentrate on the battle Ash tapped on the com-link. "Berry and Ashlin reporting in. The enemy lines are thinning out, but a small group has broken off from to circle around to the west." She relayed, her vantage point of the massive zoid allowed for a perfect view over the field and everything that was going on. Ash was in no means well versed in military tactics but she knew how to work on a team and corral opposing zoids for easier take downs. The numbers had thinned down to only have of the enemy army left which made her hopeful. As she scanned over the monitors she spotted four raptors retreating from the battle back to where they originated. "Saunders, There are four retreating to the north."

Alcesi A. Elkin

Alcesi smiled in satisfaction as the group of Raptors he had started out with, 8 total, had been demolished. By the time the Raptors had collectively realized they had been targeted by an invisible beast, it was too late and Alcesi had been able to use the rest of his advantage of surprise to swiftly end any opposition to his Zoid. He guessed the Hive Mind that he had always thought existed between the devilish creations wasn't as swift as he thought it to be.

Although, the entire force's attention was probably spread thin with how much fire the army was putting on it. The mercenaries were certainly worth the hefty checks that had to be cashed in if they were pushing back the enemy this well. They would need them, and probably even more, to combat the enemy on their own turf, especially if they were going to get the Front Line base back and land beyond that. Tapping into the collective Channels that were used by people on the field, Alcesi heard the mentions of the lone 4 Raptors left in a vicinity. Staying silent, Alcesi looked around with his monitor manually, using the little green button, and saw that they were close to him, but far enough away that they would surely reach backup before he caught up to them.

Alcesi's eyes sparkled as he had a great idea. Pressing a side button on the little joystick, the image of the Raptors running, and the general landscape of their location and direction was captured digitally. Taking a sip of coffee, Alcesi swiveled a bit, the lack of combat and his Zoid's quick invisibility giving him confidence, towards a more lax looking part of the cockpit and pressed a button on a small touch screen pad that lit up as he put a finger to it.

Going to his Zoid's digital mainframe, Alcesi plucked the picture from his personal picture place and put into the instant messaging system that was set up between Army issued Zoids, or Zoids inducted into the Army upon the Pilot's entrance. Placing the picture where it needed to be, Alcesi typed out a few words with the little keyboard on the screen, and sent it off, the message reaching its receiver instantly as the Grade A functioning worked perfectly.

New Target

Hey, you think you can deal with this? Seems like these guys are trying to get away, and I won't be able to reach them before they get some backup.
